Candace had actually been pondering a group to go up to the surface with when she received Dakota's text. What wonderful timing he had. A shame it was a damn phoenix. She frowned, looking around for 'peeps' to grab. Harrison wasn't around, nor was Jordan, nor Molly.. Bilious Text to JerryJerry! Dakota is telling me there's a phoenix in the labs and needs help. Clerise shook herself out of her fear, sighing in relief as back up showed up.
"He did it," is all she said, slapping a bright pink band-aid onto Rep's face, avoiding the nose she'd bloodied a bit ago.
After that, she gave a quick hug to Reine, smiling at her. "I owe you, girly, thanks."
This was such a terrible, terrible idea.

Molly smiled widely over at Dakota, and yelped in surprise as the mini-Phoenix tried to charge at Rep, only for her lance to take almost all of the brunt.
Team work! It gave her the warm fuzzies in her heart.
The Misty looked back at Rep, still smiling widely as she raised her lance for another defending move. She almost missed hearing Shakey from him! “You’re welcome! Now let’s cut the grass, okay Rep?”

You sit your conflicted a** down and sing the Clarice Song.'"

When Marcus had gotten the text he blinked one, twice, and then cursed. Dakota would attract death birds wouldn't he? Grabbing his coat, setting his book down, he sprinted over, hoping his friend hadn't gotten himself killed. Thankfully? He hadn't. From the looks of it, they had also called in quite a few people.
"Dakota!" He yelled at the other trainee, scowling. "You just had to call over a bird didn't you?" Did Marcus think he'd actually summoned the death bird on purpose? Just a bit. Huffing he looked for someone in need of defense and spotting one Reine he made his way over. "Been a while, but, hope you don't mind."

Rep smirked at Molly and gave her a nod.
"Will do what I ******** can." he stated.
And then he was momentarily distracted by the one man motivational assault that was Killzone. Clarice was hurt? He wasn't even sure why that bothered him so much.
She likely didn't even remember who he was, there was no reason for him to get worried over her.
With a snarl, he swung out at the ******** phoenix again. He needed to man up a bit.

It seemed oddly appropriate that Killzone's weapon was knuckledusters. Jordan wondered what kind of creature they had been. The news that Clarice was in bad shape worried him, however; what had happened?
No time for distractions. He could find out later. The phoenix was diving at him again, and he moved aside smoothly, striking the creature as Harrison deflected its talons.

Maybe she didn't want to fight up here, because of all the valuable stuff. He'd feel pretty conflicted about someone tearing through his room with a bunch of swords and guns.

As Wilson read the text, he thought to himself, Huh, Dakota is really good at finding trouble. He read the message a second time and then wondered how the hell one found a second goddamn phoenix. His bro really had the best damn luck. Wilson smiled wryly as he put away his phone and headed for the labs. By the time he arrived there were already a group of trainees and Killzone (one very subtle step away from the man).
His weapon was already summoned and he stared at the phoenix through his mask. Still pretty damn big, but at least it wasn’t as bad as the last phoenix. Wilson was relieved—just a little bit. There wasn’t much time to chit chat with Dakota. He kept his eyes trained on the bird as it swooped overhead. Flying targets were very un-enjoyable. Tentatively, he reached up to smack the phoenix with one of his cannons and it screeched loudly at him, ruffling its feathers. It leaned down to peck him in the face. Multiple times. “a;lskdfasf.” He covered his face with his arms and was suddenly very grateful he had a mask on, but it still hurt a lot. Damn thing really packed a punch. “Owowowow. Stupid bird.”

"I know," Jordan said, clipped but not angry; he was focused on the creature. "We're not exactly a precision team here, but trying not to."
As the phoenix dove again, he swung, but had to pull his strike as Ferros came dangerously close to a bank of monitors. "Crap."
Ferros growled, dissatisfied. I want to eat it.

Harrison appreciated the equipment save, but as Jordan stopped short of the monitors, the phoenix wrecked a line of something expensive and heavy.
"On second thought," Harrison growled, "let's just take it out fast."

Jordan swung at the creature again, catching a bit of its wing as its claw skimmed across his cheek. It wasn't a solid strike, but Ferros snarled in satisfaction.
Jordan smiled grimly. "Good thing you said that. We've got a charge ready; we'll try to keep clear of the equipment, but a fireball is a fireball."
