This time she was ready for it, and ready to end this. Clarice lashed out with Raeg, pinning a half-formed face to the wall, and she continued the motion until the sword was hilt deep. The foggy pieces of insanity swiftly drifted up and away, leaving the air slightly clearer. Panting Clarice sighed, glad it was dealt with, but...
That was once a weapon.
She stared at Raeg for a long while.

Leaning heavily against a wall, Clarice slapped on her last bandage and sighed...she must have grabbed an expired pack because this was just sad. Frowning she lifted her hand and stared at it. The trembling was clearly visible. Nearby the soft, muted sounds of creatures could be heard, and she smiled a bit despite herself. Painfully straightening herself up, Clarice staggered down the hallway to the minipet labs.

Later that day, the bed in the barracks that Harrison had taken to using would have an extra occupant. The bloody handprints on the sides of the tank may cause some initial alarm, but within it Killer was whole and healthy, if a bit sluggish due to a distinct lack of exercise. A bag of FEAR candies lay beside it.
