Rex stood when her father entered the room. His face was unemotional but his eyes were dark with hatred. He told the officer, "I want to speak with her mother alone, I know who owned the belts and the large fists that hit her." His hands clenched and he walked out with her mother not far behind and a nurse showed them to a room not being used. When the door was shut Rex asked, "Where you reall letting you daughter get abused for nothing?" His voice was cold and even heartless. When in their home it was warm and kind.

"Rex pleasse try to understand, I wanted to stop him but he told me that if I told anyone he would kill me. He's a drunk. I wanted to stop him but the first time I tried he hit me too. I was scared to even try." Sabeina's mother said telling the truth.

Rex turned away from her and he stared out the window but Sabrina's mother saw his reflection. His face was hard and his eyes showed more than just hatred, his lips were thin. His words were tight as he said, "I knew the first day Sabrina was abused it was him. But that time he hit you I thought when you went to work you would file a report on him. But I guess Sabrina is stronger than you, at least i could help her with all the cuts and bruises."

A few days later Sabrina had yet to wake u. Though she could hear Rex's voice and was trying to wake up. She then started to wake up while Rex was in school on Friday. She woke up at about 1:30 pm and the doctor's were making sure she was stable. They filled her in on that her father was in jail and her mother was on prohbation. Then she asked for Rex and they said they have not called him yet but would get a nurse right on it. They left a message on his house phone since cell phones were not allowed at their school. Then tehy told ehr that they would be sending her home with Rex tomorrow if she was good and stable. Sabrina was watching TV and was bored without Rex and wanted him to talk to her.

Rex's parents had called him duringlunch knowing he allows carried his secondary cell phone with him at all times. He nodded and signed himself out and he drove to the hospital. He told the nurse who he was and she took him to Sabrina. He stood at the door to her room and h opened the door slowly. He smiled seeing her there and he laughed softly at her bored look.

Sabrina hearing the door open looked over to see Rex. SHe smiled and said "What took you?" Jokingly.Then she patted the seat next to her and smiled as he sat on the bed. "How long was I out of it Rex?" She asked knowing it had to be more than a day. But she knew he cared and wanted her to get better.

Rex blushed but he held up five fingers and he said, "You went in on sunday and came back todays so almost six days." He leaned over and wrapped one arm around her bring her closer.

Sabrina was amazed. "Wow. Almost Six days?!" She then thought about it. "It felt like more. All I could see was darkness. Let me tell you now it was verylonely. I'm glad to be back." She said and smiled at him. THen she leaned against him snuggling close to him. She wanted to always be with Rex but wasn't sure how to tell him.

Rex tued s head and he kissed her ear softly. He loved the feel the of her hair an he also liked the feel of her body close to his.

Sabrina blushed feeling him kiss her ear. She then smiled and stayed close to him loving how gently he rubbed her ears. SHe started to purr and was very happy as he did this. She loved that he was always so gentle with her. She thought he was the best person ever.

Rex laid back and he said without thinking, "I love you Sabrina." When he realized he said them, he blushed wildly knowing they were true.

Sabrina blushed and smiled then she kissed him on the lips then once they pulled away she said "I love you too Rex." Then she purred and kissed him again.

Rex wrapped both arms around her. He retuned her kiss with the same passion and he even stroked her back bone happy she loved him. He slowly broke the kiss to breath.

Sabrina then snuggled up to him more and put her head under his. She was released from the hospital the next day seeing as she felt much better and got into Rex's car after he helped her into it. She loved him and kissed his cheek and said "THank you for always being there for me Rex." She then smiled and put her tail in her lap and purred happily.

Rex strapped her into the seat then ha drove them to his house and he helped her into the house. He put her in the living room and asked, "Would you like something to eat or drink?"
