Wilson laughed. “The gas isn’t that poisonous—wait what?” He barely registered Marcus’ words before there was a screaming fest raging inside his mind. [EXCUSE ME YOU BRAINLESS WHIPPERSNAPPER WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY.]

Marcus groaned. "Dis he just- he has- gets in my head and won't leave sometimes. I didn't mean that. Sorry." He was genuine in his apology as Dis was cackling in his skull. Apparently to the vampire, it was hilarious to insult another weapon.
"He's usually good but he sometimes gets..."
Oh man gassy monster. What was it a living slima bean?
"He gets to you." Following one monster was another and Marcus scowled. "Like these pests."
34-65: A large, semi-solid creature barrels into you! It's slow-moving but a bit more powerful than the smaller ones.

He smiled reassuringly. Then he realized that Marcus couldn’t see it. Wilson kept smiling anyways. “It’s okay! Gramps isn’t that angry at all.”
[WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT I AM VERY ANGRY WILLIS. VERY VERY ANGRY.]
The corner of his mouth twitched. “Honest.”
Wilson chuckled and ignored the angry buzzing in his mind. He turned toward the newest monster. They just never seemed to go on break, did they? The trainee almost shook his head as he shifted his weapon, wires clacking as he aimed his cannons. “Get ready.” Then he fired, the cloud clearing to reveal the monster, albeit in bad shape.

The creature staggered, obviously disoriented. For a second, Marcus debated letting Wilson handle it but, the 'why not' came crawling into his head via Dis. It was weak, and really, he could, should be able to handle it. As said creature shook off the gas best it could it dove for Marcus and the trainee swung, not able to hit but able to prevent it from taking his eye. Close enough right?
"Still, sorry. He might not be because he's an a**, but god. I shouldn't him get to me like that."

Wilson would have thrown Marcus a double thumbs-up as some sort of way to make the trainee feel better, but the cannons sort of prevented that. Sort of.
The mob was very close to dissipating and Wilson raised an arm to bat it with a cannon, but he hesitated for a moment. He didn’t want to overkill the poor thing. Wilson decided to lightly kick it in the stomach (wherever that was).
Apparently it did the trick.

As the creature vanished, Marcus looked a bit sheepish. "Uh.. sorry. Dis- Dis no. No that is totally- No." He groaned. The weapon in the back of his head saying how he and Wilson should kiss to make up. One, No, Two, Hell no. Three, how would that help anything?
"Augh, sorry about the whole... fart thing. He'd made d**k jokes but never..fart jokes. Sorry to your weapon as well."

Wilson’s mask was very good at conveying the poker face he had at the moment. Did he really want to know what kind of conversation Marcus was having with his weapon? Probably not. Instead, there was only pity for the poor guy.
It was a very good thing Wilson could not hear Dis. Very good.
“It’s alright! Gramps isn’t that angry. Honest.” Obviously a lie. He looked around. “You want to call it a day? I think that was pretty good.”
