"Somethin' God awful I had to drink once when cousins took me up to Canada." He muttered, lying back on a cot for now. He smirked at the thought most of these people had to drink something nasty to get rid of the vines. Suckers. Their pain made him feel better about himself. For now. "Tasted like pine needles."

Rep said nothing as Ofie wandered over, but was suddenly the brunt of a tremendous amount of guilt. He'd almost killed her. Almost killed her and felt nothing but panic that it would get him killed. Still felt nothing but concern for himself over the whole thing. He was selfish, a selfish b*****d. He should be able to feel at least regret, but all he felt was relief that he hadn't been caught. He didn't deserve people who tolerated him, he didn't deserve their patience.
He clenched his hands very subtly as the thoughts remained and grew the longer he looked at the mess she was in with the vines.
He blinked. << A what? >>
<< Oh you did NOT just call me that. >>
He pouted subtly to himself and crossed his arms.

Jordan sat down with a cup.
He had infected him. And now they were all dead. Rep chugged it down like it was nothing, and it was probably better that way. Jordan drank too. So did that other Sun who had been injured before the mission even started. She gave Jordan a desperate hug.
Harrison didn't mind. They should all get the hugs out before they died. He looked mopily into the cup.
"Cheers," he said weakly, and emptied it. It was like trying to drink a slug.

Ofelia suddenly looked up, aware that there were others there than just her and Jordan and Otto (hey, she remembered Otto!) and her eyes set themselves on Rep. The corner of her lip twitched as she unlatched herself from Jordan and took a few shaking steps towards the other Sun, her head tilted slightly to the side. Inside her mind Rue was cackling as the other voices cried faintly, vanishing. The paranoia was coming, a feeling she hadn't known in a very long time (if at all), and she swayed a bit as the medicine seemed to kick in and her stomach boiled. All in all she kept it down, a girl couldn't throw up in front of others after all, and her uneasy steps ended as soon as she was in front of Rep.
There wasn't really a need for her to look up to him, she was plenty tall herself, and for a moment the look on Ofelia's face could have been considered a glare, could have been considered a look of hatred and accusation. The flowers had grown through the wound on her chest. Rep had given her that wound, crippling her before the rest of the adventure even had a chance to get its fingers into her skin. "Rep." Apparently she just liked saying people's names, sounding so serious. She looked serious, she wasn't smiling, but instead she hiccuped a few times and a massive grin followed. "Ah'm glad ya made it, Ah dunno what Ah woulda done if ya didn' an' Ah did."
And then Rep was hugged. He deserved it, the jerk, and Ofelia squeezed him as tight as she could bear to. The end result was her giving a faint cry of pain, self-inflicted, but she wanted a hug and dammit she was going to get a hug. After a few moments she let go and looked up at him, the petals on her chest somewhat falling and fading.

Jordan patted Ofelia's back comfortingly. She seemed very young right now, shaky and afraid; but she'd been placed in Sun, and that suggested some hidden strength, maybe yet to be discovered. "Gonna be okay?" he asked.
He shot a brief, worried glance at Harrison; the blond man looked pale and uncomfortable. Had the vines been worse than they'd thought? Or was something bothering him? Jordan did a quick mental review of the past few minutes. He was pretty sure he hadn't said anything wrong. He thought, anyway. Hoped. Crap. How well did he know Harrison? Hell, how well did he know any of the people he called friends?
He tensed as Ofelia stood to stare at Rep, ready to intervene if necessary. Then again, if there was a fight or even a loud argument in the infirmary, Sunny would kill them all. The thought was weirdly comforting.

He'd only just managed to pull himself out of his cycle of self pity and loathing, in time to shoot Harrison a very smug look as the guy FINALLY took his ******** medicine. "Took you long enough you ******** ham." What was the other guy's problem with a bit of horrible green slime?
And then Ofie was right there and he gave her another long look, not entirely sure what to make of her comment. "Went on with s**t?" he suggested. He couldn't think why anyone would mourn his passing. He couldn't tell if she was implying he shouldn't have come back or what. It made him suspicious.
And then she made the mistake of hugging him. Rep did not respond to unsolicited physical contact well at the best of times. This was not the best of times. And hugs were even lower on his list of tolerable contact right now when he was feeling so insecure.
His reaction to the hug was to try very forcefully to pry her off and SHOVE her away from him, as hard as he could.
"Don't ******** TOUCH me."

Clerise watched the hug-a-thon from a distance, glad to be several cots over. Several. Several cots over. There was a distinct possibility of shanking if anyone wanted to hug her right now. Or burning. Or at least a nice, solid kick to the teeth. "................................" Yeah, that sounded like a ******** fantastic idea. At least the vines within her shoulder and face slid away without much resistance. A medical tech gave her a grossed out look, carrying them off in a bucket of some variety, holding it away from him as far as possibl- Looked like Ofelia was trying to give Rep a hug. Being the prickly pear he was, it shouldn't have come as such a surprise that he shoved Ofie away like she was made of ******** bees. "Bees," she wheezed out, laughing to herself, laying down onto her side. "What the ******** was in that goop?" Clerise's belly roiled, rumbling in reply. Not a good sign.

Ofelia cackled as Rep pushed her away, shrugging it off even though she staggered and hit the ground. "Meh, jus' wanted ta make sure yer all good. Looks like yer all good, glad ta see ya can still shove me 'round." Her voice was shaking. She'd known better than to hug him, what had she expected in return, but she managed to keep the smile on her face even as she trembled and pushed herself back to her feet. The movement caused what looked like blood to start flooding her shirt again, though it might have just been a trick of the light. The pain in her wrist had to be a trick of the light too, totally, and Rue frowned as much as a voice inside a head could frown without a face to do so.
Finally getting properly to her feet Ofelia dusted herself off, not moving the pained wrist. He hadn't broken it, there was no way she was that fragile, but it hurt anyway from the impact and it was better safe than sorry. Plus if the lady who'd given her the drink saw fighting or something she didn't really wanna die. Nope, not wanting to die right now thank you very much. "Shoulda warned ya, sorry. Hope Ah didn' squeeze any large wounds or nothin', would hate fer ya ta be in pain." Her voice was still shaking and even though Ofelia was looking dead at Rep her eyes were off in the distance. He hadn't scared her, she told herself again and again, he hadn't scared her. He hadn't hurt her either, it was all in her head.
I'm the only thing in your head. Stay away from him, now. I won't have you dying from someone you know. Was Rue warning her from worry, or. . . no, Ofelia didn't want to think that. Instead she just bowed her head to Rep and went back over to Jordan, standing at his side with a smile and her arms behind her back. She was holding her wrist, he didn't need to see that.
"Okay, Ah got mah hug in wit' Rep now. Do ya wan' another one, Jordan, or should Ah keep mah hands ta myself?" Ofelia had been scared, her affections had been unwarranted. She wasn't going to cry, not right now. No crying, no crying at all.
Okay, Ofelia was crying but she wasn't going to admit it. No crying, no tears from Ofelia.

"Careful - " Jordan started to stand, but sat back again as Ofelia got up, apparently neither offended nor hurt by the shove. "Everyone's kind of on edge right now," he said. "It's been a long damn mission."
"I'm a little sore, actually," he told Ofelia with a small smile. "Bruises in places I didn't know could bruise. Maybe later, once everyone's not so banged up."

"Don't pay attention to him, his back looks like it got into a fight with a lawnmower. ...Come on over. I don't mind a hug," Harrison offered, although his face was still about as long as a football field.

((Entering))
In a daze, Clarice slowly walked to the infirmary. She took the cup from Sunny carefully and took a seat well away from the others. Sipping it, she made a small face and then quickly finished the rest without taking another breath. Noticing Clerise and Harrison she almost tried to get their attention, but froze when she saw her hand. Despite the blood it wasn't a particularly frightening sight, but Clarice's face was filled with mute horror as she studied it. Slowly she dropped her arm back down to her side.
Hands were capable of such horrible things.
A passing medic moved to hand her a clean pair of sweats and bandages. She gave them a tight smile but didn't reach out to take them. After a moment he sighed and just placed them besides her. The returning hunters had been acting strangely. One would think this was a time for celebration, even with the facility's destruction. Sadly it looked this victory came at a cost beyond equipment and body counts.

She was stupid. Didn't she know how much he sucked? How he'd never done anything with his life, how he'd accomplished nothing? A failure. An unwanted failure. She thought he didn't love her and it made Marcus freeze. He loved her. He loved her so much that it hurt. It hurt and hurt and it never got better and love was just a lie. "I do." His thumb rubbed over her hand, suddenly feeling ashamed of washing the ring half away. "You...you didn't want me and need me so...I left."

[ ENTERING ]
Rin dragged herself in, she'd already showered and changed into something more... comfortable for the time being, at least until she felt better. For now though, she still felt like s**t. Shittier than s**t. But that was okay, it was still quiet right?
Entering deeper into the room she was handed something that smelled.. ugh.. well, she didn't trust it. She moved further on to sit across from Harrison. Her gaze quickly falling upon him.
Okay, she remembered this guy. Only vaguely though. Did he hate her too? Nervously she shifted the drink around in her hands with her eyes still fixed on the strange man.

Ofelia didn't have to be offered twice. She didn't know who he really was but dammit, he got a hug. And maybe a wet shoulder from her tears because silent sobbing was a forte.

Her brows furrowed together slightly.
"When did I say I don't want you? When have I ever said that? Am I not loving you enough? Does my love seem insincere to make you think that?" she asked, pausing once to cough, her voice hoarse from all of the screaming she'd been doing at poor Bix (and perhaps Before too for the whole half a sentence of useless accusations she'd gotten out at him).
"I liked it enough to put a ring on it." she added as a joke, her eyes flickering to his finger before she frowned, seeming to notice that he'd been trying to wash said 'ring' off.
