Fen'li let a smile break on her face up to the dark one as he seemed pleased at what she had done. She had done well, right? Yes, yes she affirmed it. It was over now, too many of them, and Karm's strength, though great, could not take them all. Perhaps if she herself were more useful they could have gotten away. But in her heart Fen wasn't sure if she did. This male, the one who restrained her, seemed nice, as did the..captain, she'd have to learn this eventually she gathered. She had to behave, that was all..as well as Karm, that might be more difficult.
But if it meant her safety, Fen'li was sure Karm would obey.
As she stood up she looked to the dark male that had held her, and she let her ears still stay back, her body, crouched, not in attack, but submissive display, to show respect, and..obedience? "Will be good," she said to him. She'd behave and none would touch her..sounded good enough to her. Maybe he would even protect her against others that would want to break the rule? He was nice, yes, nicest male she'd met in the roguelands.
She had a naive sense of the world indeed.
Karm looked to the pale male above her. She wanted to spat back in his face, tell him if he dared touch Fen she'd take something off him by her claws and fangs, and for every moment he touched Fen, she'd take a pound of flesh. But now was not the time. She stood, wanted to shove into him, but hesitated, watching Fen'li crouch and be so close to the other large males it made her worry.
No, nothing else could be done.
"Quietly, fine," Karm said simply and fast. She looked to the pale male again, wondering if perhaps someday she'd get another chance at testing her strength against him. She'd love to. Karm would have to wait and see where they were going, see what was expected of them. Regardless of what awaited them, she could not leave Fen behind. Her father had taught her strength was important, but betrayal, was something never to be done. Loyalty was key. "Understood."
Karm walked to where Fen'li stood and leaned against her so that Fen might straighten up a bit, but Fen did not. Karm sighed and shook her head.
The two females looked around themselves.
Karm, with red eyes, saw a new chapter starting, where strong warriors and strength could be obtained.
Fen'li with blue, naive eyes saw hope and a promise of a home.
Time would tell who would be more right.
