"What he said," Dith nodded to the young girl, shooting Guy a smile. "The more the merrier, right? And Ty it is; your Fathom is very lovely as well!" She seemed a little bit shy but hopefully she'd relax before long; a big crowd of strangers had to be intimidating.
Viktor studied the water type carefully, wondering if it was being condescending or had just phrased things a little awkwardly. he replied without rancour, Teazer barely shut up about it,
Ah, and suddenly there was a ditto. Dith looked down at the little blob and grinned. "Hello there, lost your trainer?"
Viktor too turned his head to inspect the new arrival, blinking peaceably at the enthused greeting. he said with a bow of his head,
*****
Ahh Kodo, a beautiful land for the fact that it currently didn't contain anyone who wanted him dead or locked up, and did contain what looked like it could shape up to be a good party.
With the possibility of sitting on the grass he hadn't opted for the white suit today no matter how 'spring garden party' it looked with the right shirt and shoes. Anyway, he'd left the right shoes behind in Orre. Still, the red looked good (would he own it if it didn't?) and any grass stains it acquired wouldn't be nearly so obvious as on the white.
He didn't have to saunter around for long before he spotted something of interest. Coming to a halt the red-haired man smirked slightly studying the little gaggle of trainers with a faintly predatory air. Nice.

"The pleasure's all mine, Guy," the water trainer answered with a bright smile. "And...thank you. It certainly seems that way." A voice in the distance called out a familiar name. The girl's brows furrowed, peering around the other trainers for the source, but Rosie was speaking again. Tymiko looked down at her flip-flops when she realized the young woman was introducing her as a trainer. But then she was addressing Ty once more.
"Wow...a year? So you three have been together for a long time!" In her excitement, the girl had subconsciously started shifting from foot to foot again as was her habit. She just couldn't seem to keep still. "Does that mean this is kind of like a...a party for the anniversary of your friendship?"
At the invite to stay and join them, Tymiko was almost bursting with delight. "Oh, really?! Thank you, Rosie! Thank you, Dith, Guy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" With a cry of joy, the young girl spread her arms, absently dropping a dismayed Fathom, and hugged Rosie tightly about her waist.
If there was any awkwardness to be felt at her abrupt actions, Ty didn't seem to sense it as she pulled away to address Dith. "I think that too! The more the merrier thing, I mean. And thank you! But not as pretty as your Espeon." She looked adoringly at Viktor draped over his trainer's shoulders.
"May I ask its name?" She hated calling the beautiful creature an 'it', but she had yet to memorize the differences between male and female pokemon and she didn't want to embarrass either herself or the psychic-type.
Fathom, charmed at the compliment but a little put out by Ty's reply, had decided to wander a little ways and meet the other trainers' pokemon. If Tymiko was going to make friends, he could find his own. In fact, maybe he'd already found one. Looking back up at Viktor, who was much higher now, he smiled.
He regarded the Espeon with a curious look. how long have you been with your human?>
He had to pause there as a new, white, gelatinous substance soon joined them. Fathom stared, not sure what to make of it. It was only after Viktor greeted it that the Vaporeon recognized it as a Ditto. The thing was hyper, seemed like.

Guy beamed back at Dith as he agreed, and when Tymiko asked about the importance of today, he shrugged his shoulders lightly. "Mm, kind of, I guess. We all met each other more or less on this day, so in a way it is a bit of an anniversary. The actual festival is just for the coming of spring, though. That's why everyone's out and about today." Placing his hands on his hips, Guy took a cursory look around the decorated park. More people were already starting to arrive, with some familiar faces mingling among the unfamiliar ones. He could even see a darkly-cloaked young woman a short distance - one that he remembered distinctly from months ago. Before he was able to start over towards her, however, the sound of a very excited Tymiko made him turn and he saw the girl wrap her arms around Miss Rosie in a giant hug. Guy flinched slightly and shrunk away, hoping that Tymiko wouldn't want to express her joy like that with him.
Miss Kiss Kiss hugged Anonymes once more, and she told him that he was... sweet? She really thought that? His golden eyes widened and he wrung his handles bashfully. ["Kn-knights are s-supposed to be chivalrous to ladies, and you're a lady, Miss Kiss Kiss, so..."] Miss Kiss Kiss was so kind to say such a thing about Anon! He was only being polite toward a lady, just like Master had taught him, and Miss Kiss Kiss was a wonderful lady. At least, Anon thought so.
Paleman kept his squinted eyes locked on the ground as he inched closer to the Rapidash. The Pokemon greeted him kindly enough, not turning him away like a freak... That was promising, but Paleman still had to be careful. He couldn't be too weird. He had to try. ["...H-hi..."] he replied quietly to the other Fire-type, shrinking slightly as the large Pokemon lowered his head down to Paleman's level. This one... He didn't seem so bad. Maybe he would be nice, like Paleman's Lamp-friend. The abrupt appearance of a completely ecstatic white glob of goo waving its arms about and making a ruckus startled the Pignite completely, and with a terrified expression, he tucked in his arms and covered his face in fear. Why were there so many strangers?! He wanted to go home!

Dith beamed and gave his furry friend another scratch behind the ears. "His name is Viktor," he said with a nod, "and thank you! I think he is very pretty too, or maybe I should call him handsome? Eh, I don't think he cares either way to be honest." Hyper masculinity was not something either of them suffered from, though dignified Viktor might object (politely) if for example he was called adorable.
Making a thoughtful noise Viktor stood up on his trainer's shoulders again before hopping to the ground so as to be on a level with the other 'eon. he mused,
"We could pretend the party was just for us," Dith added in jesting tones with a grin to Guy, "do you think we could convince anyone that we are guests of honour? We might get cake!"
"Guests of honour?" said a voice off to Dith's left. When he turned around he was greeted by a very sharply dressed man with a smirk on his lips. "Well I do feel privileged," the stranger drawled, "such good looking guests of honour, too! I hope I’m not intruding on your private little gathering here?"

"Its that, and so much more." Rosie smiled "A year ago we made a very important decision, and started on a journey that's going to hopefully help make Kodo a better place." The blond trainer explained with a tone in her voice that implied that this was important, to her if not to the whole group.
Ty seemed to be delighted that she was welcome to stay with them, and welcomed into their friendship, the hug was not at all unwelcome, and even returned with giggle and a loving hug of her own.
When Ty pulled away, Rosie let her hand stay on the girl's shoulder, as blue eyes spotted a familiar white blob. "Oh! Opal! hi." Rosie smiled, reaching down to hold a hand out to the Ditto That would of course mean that Ivory was around here. "Where is Ivory, Opal?" Rosie asked, looking around.
Before she could give much attention to finding the other trainer though, a new voice in the group caught her attention, and heads were turned toward a new person who had approached the group. Rosie's eyebrows arched, as she pushed herself to her feet, (With Opal if she climbed on her hand) The man was handsome, and very well dressed, but Rosie was sure she had never seen him before.
"Oh, no, we're not guest of honor or anything special like that, we're just a group of friends, and trainers."she said, a little bashfully, and a wave of her hand. "Dith was only joking."
Pastin was familiar with most of the other Trainer's pokemon, Paleman, while he didn't come out very often, was one of Guy's a troubled and skittish. Pastin lent a lot of that to the pokemon's... odd appearance, and how he would generally be treated because of it. the arrival of the Ditto seemed to startle the other tire type, Pastin snorted lightly in his own surprise, ears fanning forward as he looked over to the white Ditto.

"Challenge you to a what?" Rayan repeated with a snort of amusement, drawing up her crooked smile as her hand dropped back down to her thigh. "You really don't have a clue about League sport do you."
This didn't seem to bother her, as she spoke to him in a very joking air. She walked over to him, tossing her head a little to move her pull over of hair, and help a hand up in a high five as she walked over to the long haired man. "Yeah, some of my friends were talking about this going on. I didn't have anything else today, so I figured I might as well check it out. Apparently some trainers here were making a big deal over it on league boards." She chuckled.
She nodded to the Growlith with the man with a grin "Hey you!" Pokemon were awesome. "Didn't think i would run into you here."

Yuri just smirked with a casual shrug of his shoulders at Ray's observation of him not knowing anything about training. It wasn't really a priority for him to learn, especially since it wasn't a huge deal in Grande Ile like in a lot of other countries. Plus he didn't really have any interest in it anyway.
Repede looked up at Ray as she greeted him and gave a bark in return before seating himself on the grass. It looked like the two humans would be talking for a bit, so might as well make himself comfortable. Yuri seemed to have the same idea as he too sat himself down next to the Growlithe.
"We were just passing by, and thought we'd check it out," was Yuri's explanation as to why he was here.
Scanning the crowd, Yuri's sights fell on a group of trainers that were huddled nearby. He recognized a couple of faces, but was in no hurry to go greet them.

Opal was very popular! If it was possible for her beady little eyes to sparkle, they almost seemed to be doing such right now as she was greeted by Pokemon and human alike! Big human (Dith) and Rosie-friend both pointed out the obvious, that somehow the ditto had managed to lose sight of her Friend, but she didn't seem to mind at all.
Ivory-friend would be okay, the ditto knew it out of sheer blind optimism!
Though Rosie-friend offered her hand to give the ditto a ride, she declined as cutely as she could by giving that hand a tiny kissy before jelly-slinkying off again so she could pay more attention to the other Pokemon.
To the one who offered a name and a greeting, Opal replied that Opal is Opal! though the words were all Dittos, dits, or toes. To the Vaporeon, she waved once more. To the Pignite, the transform Pokemon awkwardly tilted her head (if you could even identify any part of her jelly-like body as a head). Opal didn't mean to make him do that! Though she was still her perky self, the Pokemon quietly offered an apology in a tiny "...ditto..." Rubbing at her face with her tiny stubby arms, she then stated quite plainly how she wanted to be friends with a simple "Ditto to dit dit." The ditto didn't seem to beat around the bush with what her ultimate goal was. Her beady little eyes glanced around to everyone, and she clarified that what she had said was for everyone.
It wasn't hard to figure out where her Pokemon had gone. There was a particularly large gathering of trainers and Pokemon, with a rather tall man seeming to stand out amongst the group. Edging forward while still holding her parasol to shade herself, she tried to make her way to the sidelines of the group.
"...um... anybody see a Ditto run through this area?" The question just came out completely awkward, since she was joining such a large group of people.

Ray remained standing, though she took on a more comfortable posture, settling her a hand oh her hip, while the other hooked a thumb into the belt strapping on her thigh. Eh, it was a good thing he didn't accept the battle, how that she thought about it, she didn't even have any Pokemon.
"Haa haa, hard to ignore something like this going on. Man they make a big deal out of it." she grinned, then followed his gaze over to a group of people who were unmistakably trainers. Ray had noticed a few of them earlier, but it seemed that their numbers were growing in that gathering.
her notched eyebrow arched as she nodded toward one of the people in the group. "Hey, his clothes." she said, talking to the blond man with them. "He's go a sword too." She turned back to Yuri, and grinned. "Looks kinda familiar."

"Everyone has to have a reason to celebrate every now and then," Yuri agreed as he continued to watch the mingling group of trainers. Also spotting a familiar white blob that was socializing with the other Pokemon.
As Ray pointed out one of the men in the group, Yuri gave a dramatic sigh as he draped an arm over one knee. "Tell me about it," he said, implying that he'd already met the man. Guy's uncanny resemblance to Flynn kinda weirded him out. "I've met a couple people from Grande Ile here. Small world, huh?"
Repede gave a low whine and then laid fully on the grass, content to just hang out here with his master and his friend.

She nodded at his statement. "Everyone does it." The former trainer had lost track of how many celebrations she had attended, from all different towns and cities too. They were all pretty much the same, and they were all pretty darn fun regardless.
Heavily shadowed eyelids slid down over her mossy eyes, but her eyebrow arched as intrigue slipped over her. So Yuri wasn't too surprised by that, huh? "HAH, looks like Kodo's the hip place to be after all." In a swift movement, she crouched down, reaching out her fingers to the Pokemon with Yuri,

As a hand reached for him, Repede groaned and rose to his paws. Ducking away from Ray's fingers, the Growlithe walked to Yuri's other side and sat down. "Gruff," the dog huffed, before laying down again.
"Don't take it personally. Repede is that way with most people," Yuri explained, having witnessed the entire thing.

Far from put off by the pokemon's reaction and Yuri's explanation, instead ray seemed pleased by this, as a wide slightly eery grin spread over the rugged women's face. "Oohhh ho ho ho. Awesome." She flexed her fingers then pushed herself back up. "It is on, little pup." She finished in a playful laugh. Weakness assessed, commence tactical long term pokemon pestering of affection.

That... was certainly an unexpected reaction. Yuri blinked dumbly at Ray for a moment. "Uh..." Most people tended to get offended or just shrugged it off when Repede gave them the cold shoulder. And judging from the look in Ray's eyes... it seemed that his dog friend was in for something.
Repede's mouth turned up slightly in what could be considered a smirk. Bring it.

Camphoreon's annual spring festival - despite the steadily turning weather, Luke hadn't been expecting it to be upon them so soon. Had it really been more than a year since he'd arrived in Kodo? The single thought led many others, among them memories both good and bad. He supposed he'd probably changed a fair bit since first arriving in the region; it would have been hard not to, given the vast difference between what he knew a year ago and what he knew now. In the end, the only conclusion he could really reach on the subject was that he didn't want to think about it all too seriously. Rather than that, the matter at hand was a festival, and festivals were meant to be enjoyed... or something.
The streets were busy with the energy of the event, but Luke was confident he would find his friends amidst the crowd - Dith generally stood out like a sore thumb, after all. Mieu, who kept pace at his master's side, was the first to spot the trainer group, darting ahead of his trainer and wiggling through feet to stand in the rough middle of the gathering and gaze up at everyone with an excited "fieuu!" There were a lot of people and pokemon there he'd never met before. How exciting!
"Ah, there they are." Normally Luke's first instinct would have been to shout after the Flareon and call it back to him, but under these circumstances the fire-type's tendency to run off was actually kind of useful. It wouldn't be long after Mieu joined the others that Luke did as well, appearing in the general vicinity of Guy, Rosie, and Dith - those that he knew - with a hand raised in greeting and a nonchalant "hey." He scrutinized the unknown individuals; they couldn't look more different, it seemed.
