"Hey, if you say so. It's not my place to judge," Yuri came back. Repede just groaned a little and rolled his eye at the banter between the two humans. Yeah... this guy was definitely a kid. Still acted like one despite his age.

"Wha-- Come on! Who's gonna buy that?" He turned his palms up in a display of disbelief. It wasn't a matter of whether or not he actually believed the guy was psychic or whether or not the guy actually believed he was a robot; it was the simple principle of the fact that if one individual met another on the street and one claimed to be a robot, it was just not logically sound that the other would accept it so easily. That was just the natural order of things, and it was oddly frustrating to witness that natural overturned.

Logic and Yuri didn't always jive. He sometimes made it a point to defy logic, even. That was just how the man rolled. And if he could hear Luke's inner musings, he might laugh. Teasing this kid could be all sorts of fun.
"What, are you saying you're not, Mr. Robot?" This followed by a little grin that suggested he was clearly just playing with Luke.

"Well yeah, that's given, but that's not even the point," he said, overlooking the grin with his own expression an odd amalgam of frustration, confusion, and disbelief. At this point he was just taking things too seriously. "It's like, if I said I had an evil twin or something, general you'd be like 'yeah right,' and I'd insist it's true but you would never believe me until you saw him for youtself." Not that that was an actual example of past circumstances or anything. A sudden realization passed over his features, and he nonchalantly cleared his throat and directed his attention elsewhere, "N-Not that it matters or whatever, just..." Just principle.

Yuri watched the kid with a slightly quizzical look. Yeah, this kid was definitely taking things way too seriously. A bit uptight, kinda like a friend back home... and yet not.
"You saying you got an evil twin or something?" he asked back not entirely seriously. "You really need to lighten up a little." Speaking of evil twins... that kinda reminded him of the fact that he'd practically stumbled across Flynn's doppleganger here as well. Not that Guy was evil or anything, but it was still equally weird, and after that experience, Yuri potentially could believe that Luke had an evil twin.

"Well no... I mean kind of, but that's not the point..." He frowned slightly, eyes trained on the ground. He wasn't going to pursue the subject any further, though; even he could tell that he was being way too uptight about the matter - and what an inane matter it was to be uptight over. He raised a hand and pushed it through his red hair, "It doesn't really matter anyway. Just... forget I said anything." It was kind of embarrassing, really, though he tried not to let it show on his face - not much, at least, and to only some avail.

Yuri paused in his walking to turn and look at the boy with a hand on his hip, tilting his head to the side. "Don't worry about it. What's your name, anyway?" This kid was kinda weird, but he was sure he had his reasons.

Luke continued forward a few paces, slowing a stop and turning to face his company when he was addressed. His answer was nothing if not concise, "Luke."

Yuri's brows shot up at that. Luke huh? That name certainly sounded familiar. "Well Luke-bot, its nice to meet you. I'm Yuri. You wouldn't happen to have a friend named Guy, would you?" He doubted there was more than one Luke from Grande Ile here in Camphoreon.

"Wha--" The nickname caught him off-guard, and it showed in his expression. He couldn't really say anything against it, though; he supposed he sort of brought that one on himself. His features settled out to something between discomposure, resignation, and a slight indignation, his gaze falling elsewhere only to be brought back at mention of his friend. He cleared his countenance of other emotions to display instead a slight confusion, "Yeah... I take it you met him?"

At Luke's reaction to the nickname, Yuri just grinned and reached out to give the kid a good natured pat on the head. With that, the then continued walking. "Yep, and he told me all about you." Him and Guy had talked quite a bit after their little duel, and as far as Yuri was concerned, it had been time well spent. Guy was a good... guy.

He ducked slightly at the hand on his head, raising his own in a half-hearted effort to wave it off with an expression somewhat akin to a pout. He wasn't particularly fond of being treated like a kid - or at least, being treated so as to feel like a kid, whichever the case may be. Mention of conversation with Guy, however, piqued his interest. "Really? What did he say?" When it came to matters involving himself or his friends, he really couldn't help his curiosity.

Ignoring the weak attempts at protest, Yuri also ruffled the boy's hair. Luke acted like a kid, thus he would be treated like one. Keeping his hands to himself once more, Yuri hummed thoughtfully as he tried to recall what Guy's exact words were.
"Hm... I think it was "He's a cocky, arrogant, stupid, spoiled brat." Or something like that anyway." Yuri said while keeping a straight face and folding his arms behind his head. Acting as if it was perfectly normal for someone to speak of someone else that way.

Luke blinked silently, unable to really find the words to respond to that. If he knew Guy - and he sort of thought that he did, after eight years - that probably wasn't the whole story, but that of course wasn't the first nor foremost thought in his mind. Rather, to hear such a harsh critique from a veritable stranger as a quote from his best friend on top of the insults from Asch that were always flitting somewhere around the back of his mind... The only response he had was to lower his head, shoulders drawn slightly up as he sought in futility for a counter.

Yuri blinked at the kid's reaction. Whoa.. he didn't realize the kid had such self esteem issues. Now he felt a little bad for that, watching Luke practically deflate right in front of him. Despite it all, he continued with what he was going to say.
"And he said that you're brave and will do anything for your friends, no matter what the cost. Those are the best kinds of friends you know. The ones who know your faults and still accept you for who you are. He really thinks highly of you."
