Repede lept to the side, easily dodging Opal's tackle. Although, he stood and looked at her, his tail wagging a bit. The Growlithe then turned around and gently pounced back at Opal. She had a bit of a disadvantage since she couldn't see all that well, thus he didn't want to be too rough.

Yuri easily caught Ivory's faltering, shaking her hand back slowly. "Uh huh," he replied, not at all sounding convinced, but he didn't press the issue. Everyone had their own secrets to keep and it really wasn't his place to pry. He then followed her gaze towards the Pokemart, which he'd never actually seen before. They were rather nonexistant back in the Lower Quarter.

Her offer of Lum Berries drew a slightly perplexed look. "... Sure?" He had no idea what those were or what they were for, but he supposed it couldn't hurt.

The white Growlithe was not nearly as quick on her feet it would seem, for soon enough Repede had managed to collide with her. She went down with a slight yip, but nothing that sounded devastatingly injured. However, from her new spot, she playfully attempted to nibble on her new friend's leg. It wasn't anything too harsh, almost like the false puppy was just gumming on the other. She squirmed slightly, but otherwise seemed quite content where she ended up.

The girl squinted a bit in his direction as he replied to her offer. "I take it you don't know much about Berries, do you, Yuri?" She swiveled a bit on the ball of her foot to face him again. Whether or not he wanted to know it, she offered another small explanation. "Lum Berries can be used to heal any status ailment a Pokemon might have. Like if they have a burn or get paralyzed or are poisoned... or something like that."

She couldn't help but glance over to the pair of puppy Pokemon. "It looks like they are having fun" she said with a small giggle.

The nibbling on Repede's leg was met with a good natured wuff, and he returned the nibbling to the white Growlithe's ear.

"No not really," Yuri admitted to his own lack of knowledge about berries. They were for eating right? That's really all he knew. Her explanation did draw some interest though. "That does sound useful," he then agreed with Ivory's previous statement.

When the girl called attention to the pair of Pokemon, Yuri looked in their direction and smirked. "Yeah, I haven't seen Repede play like this in a while. He must really like Opal." The Growlithe could be rather choosey with whom he did and didn't like.

"So... you're a trainer right?" Yuri then asked as he turned back to face his current company.

Opal squirmed a bit more, eventually letting loose of the other Puppy's leg and starting to tug back slightly in an effort to get her ear loose. She wasn't in pain it would seem, her tongue flopping out of the side of her mouth as she let out several pants. It would be nice to get her ear back though!

"Opal... she loves to make others happy. She wants everyone to be her friend... she can be quite determined when it comes to succeeding with that desire." The girl spoke fondly of her own Pokemon, which most might have seen as bias. In a sense, it was a sort of bias. The girl knew from first hand experience how determined the albino Pokemon was to make others happy. It was perhaps the most endearing quality to Opal.

She seemed to daze out for a moment as she reminisced for a brief moment over her dearest friend before Yuri prompted her with another question.

Shaking away her thoughts, she cleared her mind slightly so she could try to answer the young man to the best of her abilities. "Oh... yes... I'm a trainer... though we haven't really done too much out here. We're kind of casual about our efforts, only because Ditto training is already pretty difficult... and then Opal's condition makes it even more challenging. We've found ways for her to adapt a bit...but in a Pokemon battle, it would be trickier..." She paused for a moment, placing one black gloved finger to her lips.

"...Are you a trainer, Yuri? Like... you seem kind of new... but... is that what you are trying to do?"

Repede took the squirming as a sign that Opal had, had enough. Thus he got himself off of her and let go out of her ear, but not without one more playful tug, his tail still wagging.

Yuri watched the two Pokemon with a smile. "She sounds really determined. Is that how she came to be with you? To make you happy?" It was clear that the two shared a strong bond, not unlike the one between himself and Repede. A bond that included a mutual understanding of one another.

He listened quietly to Ivory's explanation of her experience as a trainer. Yuri didn't really understand the concept of training very well as there was no league present in Grande Ile. He knew so little, but then he never went out of his way to learn either. He didn't see any need to. Then the question was turned on him.

"Naw... I don't like the idea of Pokemon fighting for me."

She had her ear back, which perked up for a moment before it flopped back down loosely. The false puppy Pokemon couldn't help but flop down onto her tummy afterwards. Her legs were stretched back, almost like she was trying to imitate a Politoed. She let out a yip, informing her new friend she had fun and that she liked him. Her tail waggled back and forth.

Her cheeks flushed slightly as she nodded gently at Yuri's assessment of her friendship with Opal. "Yes... that's... pretty much exactly why she became my Pokemon..." This man was amazingly astute in certain aspects, since this was two times now that he seemed to catch onto things that hadn't been flat out stated plainly.

When he stated his view upon Pokemon battles, she nodded her head respectfully. "I can see what you mean... it isn't everyone's cup of tea. Would that mean you are a pacifist, Yuri?" Some people would use that as their reasoning for being against Pokemon training.

It sounded like the Pokemon had slowed down in their play, so Ivory called out slightly to the white Puppy. "Come on Opal... time to get some Lum berries... then we can share with our new friends!" Her tone seemed to gain a bit of a fluffy sound to it, like she was speaking to preschool children.

LUM BERRIES?! Both of her ears perked up immediately, and soon enough the transformed ditto was on all four paws, making her way back to the two humans.

Repede tilted his head as he watched the Ditto pup, then barked back at her in a friendly manner. Telling her that he liked her too. This Pokemon was definitely all right. Although, the dog mon could sense that there was more to her than she was letting on.

Seemed that Yuri had been spot on yet again. Again he let the topic stop there. She would tell more if she wanted to, not that it was really information he needed to know anyway.

A pacifist? Him? That question might make him laugh, but not in present company. "Nnnnnot exactly," he replied cryptically, not volunteering to expound on that either.

When Ivory announced going to get Lum Berries, the white Growlithe's interest and excitement seemed to grow. Yeah that Pokemon definitely liked Lum Berries. There was no harm in letting Repede try one or two himself.

Once she was at her friend's side, she bounced up so she was only standing on her hind legs and firmly planted her forepaws on her friend's black pants. With her pink nose, she nudged the black gloved hand. Her tongue was flopping out of the side of her mouth, and her red eyes seemed to read "You said there were Lum berries, can I have them now please?"

Ivory couldn't help but laugh a bit, gently running her fingers along the false puppy's nose. "Silly girl!" In a dismissive manner, the girl swept her hand under the white Pokemon's paws so she'd be back on all four paws again. Since it seemed that they would be going inside now, the girl swung her parasol to the side (as to not hit anybody) and closed it up. Hanging the hook of the parasol handle over her arm, she then began to make her way to the Pokemart.

"...Well... even if you don't like training Pokemon for battles or anything like that... they do have some pretty useful things in the Pokemart. Come on, let's go!" With a slight wave of her hand, she walked up to the automatic doors, which opened as she approached. She and the white Pokemon soon enough were in.

It was a simple enough shop, set up like any other convenience store, with plenty of items on the fully stocked shelves. However, Ivory really didn't need to browse at all and was already heading up to the counter.

With Opal rejoining her human, Repede did the same thing and fell into line next to Yuri as he began to follow Ivory into the Pokemart. As they entered, the tall man passed his gaze around the store and the items that stocked their shelves. He had no idea what most of the items were, but Repede immediately started going up and down the aisles, sniffing at the various merchandise.

Yuri stood just a few paces behind Ivory, watching the dog with a bit of amusement. Repede passed by a shelf after sniffing at some potions, avoided a line of repels, as well as passing by a case filled with evolution stones. Eventually he ended up in front of another case that held TMs and HMs. He pressed his nose against the glass and peered in with one eye. He then turned to look back in the direction of the humans and gave a bark.

"Find something, Repede?" Yuri asked before meandering in his direction and bending down to take a look at the discs that were lined up in the case. "What are these?"

Opal didn't need to follow her friend to the counter. Friend would bring all the berries to her once she was done! So with a waggly tail, she trotted after the dark-haired friend as he headed towards the display case for the TMs. Of course, Opal couldn't answer the question for the human friend, no matter how hard she tried. However, she could at least answer it for the Growlithe friend.

"Growl growlithe growl!" she barked out, letting him know that those were the learning machines. With a slight whine, she acknowledged that they teach new moves to Pokemon. The white Pokemon snuffled the glass and sneezed slightly before sitting her haunches down.

"Growlithe growl growl growl!" Opal couldn't use those learning machines because Opal was a ditto. After the explanation, once more her tongue was flopping out of her mouth, and she sat there panting in a seemingly content manner.

At the counter, Ivory spoke to the clerk about her order, to which the nice young man went to the back storage room and soon enough came back out with a decent size package.

Buy in bulk, or don't buy at all! After paying, the girl struggled to get the box into her arms, but soon enough she had gotten her two arms underneath the bottom of the box and was awkwardly making her way towards where she saw the white Pokemon in her vision. If she was remembering correctly, this was about the area where the TMs were on display.

"Find something interesting?"

Repede's ears twitched as he listened to Opal's explanation of the technical machines. His interest growing as he realized that he could learn things that could potentially make him stronger. Such things definitely piqued the Growlithe's interest. He then looked up at Yuri expectantly and gave a bark.

"Yeah, Repede wants one of these," Yuri started before looking over at Ivory who was holding a box that looked quite heavy. "Whoa, let me get that for you."
With that he moved to take the box from her, provided that she let him of course.

"Oh, um... thank you!" the girl called out the moment the weight had been reduced slightly by the young man's assistance. She was grateful, but she did already know that this was only going to be a temporary relief. She still had to tote the whole box back to her apartment. And there was no way she'd be actively asking for assistance for such a chore.

Once the burden was out of her way, she moved towards the display case. "Oh... Repede wants a Technical Machine, or TM for short?" She glanced down to the pair of puppy Pokemon, easily spying Opal's eyes upon her.

For a moment, the girl smiled at the two Pokemon before looking back to her human companion. "...Do you even know what they do, Yuri?"

"Not a clue," Yuri replied as he took the box from Ivory and easily held it. It seemed that another explanation about trainer things was in order. Repede's eyes also went to Ivory, waiting for her to fill in his master. It had to be useful if the Growlithe wanted it. He'd completely snubbed most of the other items in the store.

Once given the go ahead, the girl turned back towards the display case, poking a gloved finger against the glass. "TMs basically can teach Pokemon new moves. Each TM is a disk, and you put it into a case and if you play the TM in the case, your Pokemon can learn whatever move was on the TM. There all sorts of TMs out there with different moves, like Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Ice Beam, to name a few. There are some Pokemon that can't learn any TMs, Dittos being one of them..."

For a moment, she gestured towards Opal, who was being quite a good girl and sitting still at the moment.

"And I've heard rumor that there is only one Pokemon in existence that can learn every TM ever made... though... that's just a rumor. If anything... I'd suggest maybe talking to the clerk before you purchase any TMs... he might be able to assist you on picking a good TM for Repede... instead of one that Repede can't learn..."

Ivory really didn't know which TMs would obviously work for the puppy Pokemon, save for some of the really obvious ones like Flamethrower. With such in mind, she attempted to wave over the clerk at the counter.

Yuri listened again to Ivory's explanation and set the box on the counter to get a closer look at the TMs. He honestly had no idea what most of the labeled moves actually did. But the clerk soon came over at the summons, an aging grey haired man with glasses and a mustache. "Can I help you?"

Repede was the first to answer with a bark. The black haired young man then draped one arm over and leaned against the box as he tilted his head towards the shopkeeper. "Hey, old man. Repede here is interested in your TMs. What can he use?"

The "old man" hummed in disapproval at the title used, but said nothing of it. Instead he leaned over the counter to look at the Pokemon Yuri had motioned to. "Hm, that is a Growlithe, correct? One moment." He then stepped over to a computer and pulled up a list of learnable moves for the Puppy Pokemon. The list was then printed out on a piece of paper and handed to Yuri, who gave a low whistle at the prices of some of them. He was by no means rich, and some of the TMs were not cheap either.

"Is there any you would like?" the shopkeeper asked, which drew another couple barks from the Growlithe. "Repede will decide," he informed the old man who just blinked at him once. Yuri then read off the list to the Growlithe, who listened attentively as he even read the descriptions of what each attack did. Repede was silent until he read off TM 93, to which Repede barked yet again. "TM 93 it is then," Yuri said as he placed the list back on the counter. The shopkeeper just nodded and selected the desired TM while Yuri pulled the amount of money out of a drawstring bag and handed it to the man.
