Kidondo gave a simple nod in response, his mind turning over the conversation and the questions and the possibilities it had presented. The Nergui were not simple brutes, but he had never really assumed as much. They were being driven, but by what motivation, he still did not know.
The plot thickened...
"You may go." He replied after a moment. "I will think more on this situation with the Nergui and this trap of theirs. And, if I have need, I will come to speak with you again, Sjari."
He took a small step back, nodded again, and continued up the dune, pausing a moment later to glance back at the dark lion. "Take heart, Sjari. All is not lost. You and your kin are alive against all odds. We will be ready for them when they come and you can begin your life anew." And with that, he turned and moved onwards. First to speak with No and then back out to meet the incoming patrol.

He nodded, Sjari would gladly answer any questions the Regent might have. He respected the firekin and their leaders immensely, and felt the Hongshan as a whole owed them so much. If there was anything he could do, it would be done, or at the very least attempted.
Sjari watched the red lion go, and sighed. Yes, they were alive, but for how long? The nergui were many, and were savage fighters. "I'rr iiks roqa su bareaqa." I'll just have to believe. He told himself, then began to make his way down the dune, sliding slightly. He'd take a different route, and clear his mind. Perhaps he did feel a little better.
