Madison smiled back and took the other rope, winding it around her waist, over Kouki's sword-belt in such a way that she could still draw the swords without obstruction if needed - and she could cut herself loose from the rope, too. "I'm Madison," she offered. "And this is Kouki." She tapped at the hilt of one sword with one hand. Yeah, she had four of 'em. Problem?
The harpoon gun slid forward a bit under their combined strength - they really were easy to move! "Maybe we should coordinate this," she said, stepping forward quickly to avoid getting smacked in the ankles. "On three?"

Aleister walked with the group shifting his pack and looking around. "Do... we need scouts?" He asked curiously not really sure what he should be doing but he sorta wanted to make up for the last mission he screwed up. So he was just asking in general and if the doctor answered he did and if he didn't... well... Aleister would just take that as a shut up and follow me type deal.
Of course he noticed Cass and moved over to her, "You holding up okay?" He asked quietly. He hadn't really seen her since they arrived. Of course he was a bit busy being a penguin a decent amount of that time, or invisible, and then that one mission...

Yay. Can the life division simply be called the 'hahah ******** you' division now? No? Sad. They were going against a titan. A thing that he said was a big as a ******** state. Yes. Totally legit. Totally possible. Totally not ******** suicidal. Granted the good doctor would be taking care of getting said artifact, that didn't put Marcus in a safe frame of mine. The guy also had grinned.
Marcus did not trust that grin whatsoever.
Giving the doctor a 'You are ******** insane' look before heading out, Marcus made sure his scarf was sufficiently wrapped around his face. Skin covered as much as possible, warm and not likely to die from hypothermia- You're more likely to die from that titan thing. You don't say? Caution suits you. Though, running in this event should it go south does not seem like a good or viable option. Best to just accept fate in this case. So encouraging. How about this, don't die.
Good advice, though not the most helpful. Motioning over to Harrison, he motioned to one of the sleds. "Shall we?"

Oh, well. That was a relief.
"Well. Gosh, okay, sir, I just.. you know. Okay. Well, first of all."
She fell silent for a long stretch of time. The silence was peppered with constant throat clearing.
"I ah.."
Sasha busied herself with her Fear scanner before she sent the doctor a sideways glance.
"You ah.. did.. um. I heard some.. things. And, sir, I hope you know I don't um. I don't mean any disrespect, sir."

The doctor laughed softly and then handed Sasha a throat lozenge, "So this is about me, hm? I have done...quite a few things, my dear. I'm afraid you'll have to specify and nevermind any unintended disrespect on your part."

Mercedes hated this cold weather a lot. What the hell was up with Deus and their boner for cold remote regions. Surely monsters hated this bullshit too. Surely.
Mercedes gripped Hadjoc by the handle and continued to remain available for support. She knew she was not a good candidate for using any of the harpoons given her bowguns already fired far and true. The softer voice of a girl talking to doctor H distracted the mist trainee.
Quietly eavesdropping she fiddled with her scanner and shuddered. For someone about to face a creature that would slay them all Mercedes was pretty numbed. Anything but getting eaten by Hadjoc. Anything but that.

Sasha nodded at his question, her mouth wrenching as she took what he'd offered. She stared at the lozenge for a long time before she opened it and put it in her mouth.
"Gosh darn it," she breathed softly to herself.
Securing the lozenge against her cheek, Sasha sighed heavily. This was going to be a difficult thing to ask. It was important, though. He was her division leader. It was a valid question.
"Sir. Ah. I can um.. well, f-first, sir. I c-can trust you, right? I mean.. well, you k-know."

So they were up against a modern Titan. The declaration made Wilson feel so much better about this mission. If he remembered correctly, titans were the beings who had ruled before the Greek gods. In essence they were pretty effing powerful. The facts that this creature was the size of Rhode Island and that they would only be numbing a portion of it was testament to its strength. Was Wilson happy about this mission? Not really, but he didn’t have a choice in the matter.
Sighing, he looked down at his FEAR scanner, glancing at the readings for a second with a blank expression before putting it away and turning his attention toward one of the sleds. It would probably be a good idea to pull it (no, really?) but he needed another person to help him. Wilson looked around for a bit before he waved at Ami. “Hey, want to help me with this?”

Ryan wasn't sure he felt comfortable with going up against this titan. He didn't know much mythology aside from the bits and pieces he had learned here and there over the years, but what he did re-call was that titan's were both massive and deadly. To think that there was one alive to this day! Hell, Ryan was just surprised that they even existed. Ghosts, zombies and stuff, were a little more understandable, but a titan? How did that go undiscovered for so long?
He shivered, trying to ignore both the cold and the upcoming battle, choosing instead to watched the Fear scanner for any change.

She just could not figure this FEAR scanner stuff out. One minute it was blinking, next it was beeping. Was it working? Was it just her not being able to figure it out? It was probably that. Ami had no clue how to work with this advanced hunter technology. Cell phone? That was easy. FEAR scanner? Not so much.
So Ami was thankful when Wilson distracted her from the stupid thing. She hefted her bag over her shoulder and said, "Sure. What d'you need help with?"
Please, don't say FEAR scanner.

The doctor actually paused to seriously consider the question, "Well, it's about context, my dear. No one is wholly trustworthy, given the right context. Trust is an odd thing, Sasha. Often it relies less on those we wish to trust and more on the reasons why we would like to trust them." His smile was gentle as he continued, "So I'll put aside trust, and simply explain a few things, hm? I won't lie to you, Sasha. Nor will I actively seek to harm you in any fashion. I am not what most would consider a good person, but then good is subject to one's own personal perspective, isn't it?"
He looked out at the vast sea of snow and ice ahead of them, "If you've heard things about me? Terrible, awful things? It's very likely they're true, my dear." His eyes slid back to the young woman, expression finally serious.

If she could have she would have been helping pull the sled, Ofelia liked being helpful, but seeing as she could only work on keeping herself moving she merely occupied her time with listening to the others and their words and worries. The thing the size of Rhode Island was a Titan and apparently they were going to take it down with harpoons.
That sounded all kinds of awesome. The FEAR scanner at her wrist was making a hood amount of noise but she was unsure if that was a good or bad thing.

Dakota frowned as he heard the mission details and sighed.
Titans, so the thing they fought in the mission for the artifact thing was a titan? It took his kraken idea WAY down.
Grabbing the pack, he pulled out the FEAR scanner before turning the blasted thing on and walking around.
"Yo Clerise..." He found the life hunter before grinning at her, "I hear you got a pair of daggers I need to examine?"
Although in no way or shape was that comment dirty or hinting at anything, Dakota gave a blantant stare at her breast.
For good times sake. Plus he was feeling a lot better since his fight with Ryan and then the mission out and well....Julie snowmen. He saved the picture that Clerise sent him because it was nice and he knew she only wanted him to feel better.
Unforuntatly, because his FEAR scanner barely blipped, he didn't look the thing over clearly distracted.

Aleister had stopped to look at his fear scanner, 135? That seemed a bit high... Aleister looked at the doctor. "Hey.... Dr. H. Sir? Should these readings be getting past.... one hundred?"
He frowned at this, looking a bit worried maybe a little more than what the situation called for.
