Rikki returned her look with one of his own that said "can you burn this costume?" Unfortunately, Rikki was probably better at reading expressions than she was, so she probably couldn't translate his as well. Woe, woe, woe is Rikki; such is his woe-filled story.
He watched as she approached all the props and glanced at what they were. Fans. Ribbons. Silky things. Most were in fanciful colors that screamed "I'M A GHOUL, HERE ARE MY BOOBS." Rikki's unamused glare turned to Yin as if daring him to direct him to take a prop. "I'm not dancing with a ribbon."

"That will work perfectly fine Miss Danny, I am sure that you will do well. Good luck."
Yin then noticed Rikki, and noticed as Rikki glared at him.
Yin simply gave him a bland look. "I believe that that pink ribbon would well suit you but if you insist I highly doubt they would force you. Or perhaps you could take one as an ornament for your costume?" Completely straight face. Who really knew if he was joking or not?

Music. Danny could understand that. Music was great- as the vice president of the music club, hell yeah she liked it. Dancing with it? Not so much.
For you see, Danny was at an odd impasse. She liked dancing, but dancing absolutely did not like her. She tried to dance like she saw some of the other ghouls dancing, but it just was not up to par. She was on the beat, but nothing about what she did was graceful, and NOTHING about what she did was interesting. It was all just her staring at one ghoul and trying to emmulate it.
All things considered though, Danny did enjoy dancing. She moved back and forth, swaying with the beat, though not gracefully.
She continued dancing until she heard a laugh escape one of the horsemen's mouths, and then another. They tried to cover it up, but it was too late. Danny frowned and stopped mid-dance, bowing like she'd been shown. Even that was embarrassing. She escaped back to where Rikki and Yin were standing, looking down at the ground. "I hate this," she muttered as she took her spot in between the two boils. Jack the horsemen.

"Jackingantennaejackingpink.I'llshowyoupink." Rikki's frustration had turned into nearly inaudible muttering. He was really unhappy.
And then Rikki's rage boiled over into a new pitch. As always, Danny's well-being was the very final straw in tipping Rikki's iceburg of anger. They were going to laugh at his ghoulfriend? They were going to make her feel uncomfortable and embarassed? He was going to show them something.
He stepped up in front of the women after Danny had returned, giving her a sympathetic look over his shoulder. When he looked at the horsewomen he could tell they weren't expecting much from him after Danny's performance. But he had taken a few formal dance classes with his parents, and he had learned a few tricks from his own fighting style that he'd found translated into dance nicely. The first thing he did was take the jacking slippers off, though, because he had a feeling if he tried to move in them he'd just slip and fall on his a**.
When the music started he began with small movements, figuring out the flow of the music. No drums. That threw him off for a moment, because drums were the heartbeat to his dancing. He supplemented with a little imaginary drumming in his head, though, and he was off. The movements fit together fairly well, as if he had just been to class the day before despite the years that had passed. His brows furrowed with focus as he began to weave in his fighting moves. He couldn't be sure how good they looked without his shadow shifting - they certainly felt weird - but he made due.
By the time he finished his chest was rising and falling dramatically from exertion - Rikki hated dancing, therefore, doing so was a serious activity - and he was a bit sweaty. He didn't even pause to see the horsewomen smile in reaction to his performance, he just turned and began unbuttoning his shirt so he could get out of this costume.

[Entering]Ciel watched the others dance from behind the curtain. Her small, messily-clothed form had slipped in pretty much unnoticed amid the drama of trying to wear human clothing when you have horns and one very, very annoyed boy. After looking around the costume area, she picked out a plain red and black Hanfu gown and pulled it on, wrapping the sash about her waist afterward. After seeing the trouble with horns she felt glad to be so... ordinary. Almost too ordinary... her hair was too shirt to adorn with anything more than a simple comb. She sighed and reached into the box for her prop.

Ciel frowned when she reached into the prop box, groped around, and found nothing. Amid all this splendor she would be on stage... alone... in a plain dress, unadorned for the most part. She blushed bright red, but knew she had to go up there anyway.
Ciel took a few moments to compose herself before going out on stage.
Ciel had no idea what to do when she stepped onto the stage. Then the music started. A high Chinese flute wafted over drums in a twittering melody. Strangely, it reminded her of the adara chattering endlessly about it's past, so she decided to move like the adara.
She bowed low, her arms sliding to her sides and back fluidly, fingers spreading the sleeves of her robe like wings. With a slow, nodding motion, she bobbed her torso up and down, flapping the sleeves behind her like wings. Carefully she straightened her back, moving her arms behind her in a sudden, flapping motion before moving in the bobbing strut of the adara, stepping in time to the music, fluttering her "wings" as she went.
As the song ended, Ciel drew her legs under her, folding them beneath her like a resting adara. She moved her arms gracefully so the sleeves looked like wings at rest, then lay her head upon the stage as if asleep.
The horsewomen smiled in approval. Ciel heard soft tinkling sounds before her. When she sat back up, she found three horseman points on the stage. She picked them up, stood up, took a bow, then left with a smile.

Ulmuka had not been here yet but was curious since Yin had told him about the dancing. He was used to dancing at parties, usually very formal, but judging by the clothes he was sure this was not quite what he was used to. The flowy robes did not seem to quite be his style and so he was very discerning when it came to selecting whay he was going to wear.
What had Yin wore? Much of this looked feminine and the strix was afraid of looking silly.

Perhaps Yin was not the best to talk to about clothing. His attire (though he did not know it) had amused Miss Danny more than anything. Still, someone had been laughing the last time he had danced so as he entered the room he was determined to select something else to wear.
What he found when he found the clothing was actually a strix. He tried to smile at him, but he was worn to a frazzle, despite class going well, and it possibly looked more forced than anything.
"Greetings Ulmuka. Are you preparing to dance as well?"

"Hello Yin!" He squawked happily. "You mentioned it and I hadn't tried." He spun with something pink and flowy. "The clothing is curious, hmm? I am unsure which are for the men and the women." Muka put it back and sorted through the others. He touched the fabric delicately, able to choose those he liked and those he did not with a simple flick of his eyes. "What do you think of this?" It was the most male looking outfit he could find.

There was something nice about seeing the strix, who was always so happy that it reminded him slightly of Alexander, though the pink and flowy nonsense certainly did not. He was almost relieved that the boil put it back on his own. Ulmuka had chosen one of the better quality costumes so far as Yin could tell, and it seemed like as though it would work. Yin did not even consider whether or not it was for a male, it obviously was and he nodded. "You would look well in such a costume, though it depends on if you can move well in the robe."He selected something that had been shoved back on the racks, something with actual pants and possibly made to mimic a warrior. "I am glad that you decided to try dancing here. After you change there is a box of props if you feel that you would like one."

Ulmuka change and it took a while because he was not used to the layers and strings that kept the clothing on. The hat was nestled on top of his fluffy hair but tilted to side a bit. For some reason it just wouldn't stay on straight.
"Props?" He experimentally waved his arms. "Your clothing suits you!" His head bobbling happily. His talone hands dropped to the prop box where he moved fans about. He picked one up but found it to be awkward in his hands. Next he picked up a string but honestly could not be quite sure what he would do with that. There was some fabric as well but the strix was not very creative and so he just shrugged.
"I do not like any of these. I will go without."

Yin had a ridiculous urge to reach out and straighten some of clothing and fix some of the knots, knowing that that would never fly at home. But it was not his place and the boil did not seem too disturbed by it. "Rikki also went without a prop and did very well, so I do not believe it is required."
For reasons that he himself was not sure of his hands picked up a thin strip of cloth. His brain churned. Ribbon. Pink. His mind provided the rest of the imagery, of blood and a torn pelt. His hand tightened on the ribbon and he found himself walking toward the dance floor with it.

The music began when the young men stepped forward. Muka stood for a moment, hoping Yin would go first but unfortunately all the horsemen observing were staring straight at him. It took the strix a moment (and some uneven blinking) for him to catch on and finally shuffle into position.
The music was not anything he had heard before but he closed eyes and tried to pick up the rhythm. When he broke it down in his head he discovered he would just use one of the ballroom dances he knew. The strix moved his arms a bit but mostly just whirled in circles.
He heard snickering in the audience and peeked open one of his eyes to see that they were giggling at him. Thankfully he was never offended by much of anything so by the time his song ended, he was giggling too.

Ulmuka was actually not that bad. Of course, that was coming from Yin, who had done tai chi rather than dancing last time. He was not laughing, and he could not help but think it was rude for those that did. But at least the boil laughed along and he was able to give him an actual smile when he passed him to take the floor, though he looked somewhat distracted.
As the music started he just...stood there. Finally he began moving along with the music, not really focusing on dancing. His hands never left the ribbon in his hand, which caused him to stumble a few times and gained him some snickers but he simply kept going, immersing himself far enough into the music that he was surprised when it was over. He quickly went to put the ribbon away, not wishing to think anymore of it before he returned to Ulmuka. "You did very well I believe. The clanwomen seem...happy enough."

"Thank you!" Muka pulled off the hat and gave Yin a hearty pat and squeeze on the shoulder. "I'm not sure that this dancing is quite for me but they did seem entertained!" He placed the hat back where it went.
"Your dance was nice as well. Though I think it did remind me a bit of your fighting. But that isn't a bad thing. Especially with the outfit!" He began to attempt the removal of the clothes. He fumbled with the strings maybe even sneakily slicing one with his talon when no one (not even Yin) was looking.
"Is Alex here as well?" His head turned sideways in that strange way it always did.
