[[entering]] So far, this place was already vastly different from War. This wasn't a bad thing, just different. It was not nearly as open and wild. But all the incense and low lighting felt just as comfortable as the platforms and canopies. It was such a strange feeling. Caves usually gave her the heebie jeebies, but here she felt safe. Perhaps was this the true essence of death? Not fear, but comfort and peace?
Whisper hoped that she would be able to satiate this curiosity in the week to come. Though whether or not that would happen, she wasn't sure. She had no idea what they would be learning this time, but she suspected that it wouldn't be as physically demanding as the previous week.
Whisper followed the other students to the dorms, bowing her head to the greeter as she passed. After all, it was best to show respect whenever possible.

There was an obvious contrast to this new island and that of Conquest. Here was muted and a little more confined while there was open and bright with flourish. Olivia wasn't sure what to make of it. New was always going to be new, even though she kind of preferred the other island on her first reaction.
The incense was at least a familiar scent, she had well enough experience with that from her last week of classes.
Olivia's gaze glanced about, first taking in her new surroundings and the new attendants but ultimately drifted to her peers on the island of Death, to see if there were any that she knew. A small smile spread across her face when she spotted a few here and there and followed after to their new accommodations.

Temes had come to the island, her memories of Conquest quite pleasant but the change of location was quite weird and well, the chupacabra was unsure of what to do. She decided though it was best to maybe get out, learn, and be useful. She'd slacked so badly before but now! Now she was going to pay attention and learn things and get better. Conquest had taught her manners and etiquette, now Death would teach her something far better.
. . . or so she hoped.

Raziel stepped through the portal, not entirely sure what he had signed himself up for by choosing the Isle of Death for the location of his second week of class. It was very different in style and decoration from the Isle of Conquest, but he didn't mind the aesthetics at all. Not that he would speak up about it if he did.
After listening to the horseman tell them to respect their area and all the same things as the last island, Raziel was happy to be on his way and explore the opportunities that this place had to offer. Who knew what fun little games they would have here.

The first thing Dev noticed when she arrived through the portal was the incense. Her Conquest class still fresh in her mind, she took the time to curiously take a few whiffs of the scent. There was something sweet and nostalgic about the smell. Interesting. This isle was significantly different compared to Conquest’s green hills and clear waters. Here, it was dark and the style noticeably different from Coquest’s oriental appearance. She felt a slight pang in her heart when she felt the noticeable lack of her friends from last week. That was right, they were in War now.
She huffed, but at least they could still communicate with their phones. Her mood lightened at the thought and decided that her first order of business would be to explore what the Death clan had to offer. Grinning, Dev walked off.

If Conquest had been light, Death was its shadow-- dark and solemn, shrouded in mystery. But Ouranos wasn't opposed to it. He worked and thrived in places like these, in the shadowy depths of sleeping minds… in fact, the boil felt almost at home here.
He stood quietly by himself, flickering and fading into the darkness. Gazing around the room, his senses devoured every detail-- from the high walls, to the distant glow of firelight, to the richly painted ceiling. Incense tickled his nose, a familiar presence-- but it was somehow different than he'd known it in Conquest. Rather than a concentrated entity, it was faint and delicate, like a finger tugging at the corners of his memory.
A voice spoke from the darkness. Oura blinked, plucked from his reverie. Robed entirely in black, the woman before them blended right into the room! She told them about the land of Death and its priestesses, and about its ways, steeped in ritual.
Afterwards, it was time for the students to get settled. Ouranos drifted behind the rest, feeling an odd, distant sense of peace. He felt more at ease here than he had in Conquest… perhaps it was the darkness, similar to the nighttime he knew so well, that soothed him.

The Isle of Death was very different than the Isle of War, and Kemnebi immediately missed the trees. This place wasn't horrible, though, and it was oddly soothing and restful. Incense tickled the girl's nose and instantly put her on guard, trying to determine if the scent was poisonous like the cave in war training. Eyes darting, Kemnebi picked out several objects around her that could be used in a fight before she shook her head and made herself relax.
It seems War had had quite the effect on her instincts. Taking a deep, calming breath, Kemnebi nodded to their greeter respectfully before heading over to the dorms.

Lucien wasn't horribly eager to leave the Conquest Island, feeling as if he had left so much unfinished business behind him. He was happy to get further away from the temple that seemed to curse him repeatedly but once he had stepped out of the portal, he heard something being mentioned about priestesses that sort of worried the air spirit. Did priestess mean another temple and was that temple anything at all like the one on Conquest? If it was, Lucien would like one ticket to another island please and thank you.
Well, it wasn't like Lucien had much choice about it now. He couldn't exactly get away. He would make use of the situation somehow, and maybe he'd find Israfel here. Of course, little did poor Lucien know was Israfel was now where he had left and he was now where Israfel had just come from. It seemed it just wasn't in the plans for them to have awesome pony adventures together, even if it would have been amazing.
Well, maybe there would be birds like the adara here and maybe they wouldn't two time him, scream and knock him over or otherwise make him feel inadequate around birds. He didn't need that, not when he was building up the confidence to admit his realized feelings. He wanted anything but to feel inadequate around that bird, anything but. He'd even take being an air head, or even a hothead so long as he was more than enough for Israfel.

Gilly stepped out of the portal to a new area, much different than the one she was in before. She stepped cautiously into the new domain, the domain of the death tribe, the name made the air feel ominous.
The lead horseman explained that following their rules here were very important, Gilly swallowed a bit. She wasn't the best at following rules, not that she meant to break them, she just somehow seemed to end up breaking them, despite her best attempts. She filed out of the room following behind the rest or the students.
