Ryan also waved away the poisonous gas. Not because of the scent, but because he didn't want to keel over from inhaling the stuff.
"Are you freakin' kidding me? Pirates of the Caribbean? And that makes you some sort of expert now does it?" Was he serious? A movie!? That had to be the dumbest reasoning he had ever heard! Sure there was a chance it could be a kraken---but just because a movie had a giant tentacle monster and called it a kraken, doesn't mean that all giant tentacle monsters were krakens! Jeez!
While they were arguing, poor Wilson was fighting somewhere in the background. In fact, Ryan was so absorbed in the argument, that he temporarily forgot that they were even fighting and left Wilson to fend for himself. It wasn't until Wilson shouted at them that he actually snapped his attention back to him. Literally.
"WHAT--oh, right!" Having the decency to flush, the moon trainee lunged for the NOT-kraken and punched it in the side. Which unfortunately reacted by smacking him back with more than double the force that he just dealt it.

"Am I kidding you? No. Dead serious here." Dakota was clearly more focused on the debate with Ryan then he was the tentacle. "Look, The Kraken was a huge sea beast, had huge tentacles, hell you don't even see its face until Jack sparrow gets eaten so how do you know that thing..." Dakota pointed his thumb over at the tentacle over his shoulder and then back at Ryan..."Isn't a Kraken? I still don't hear a arguement from you little brother." Dakota cocked his hands on his hip and waited...
And waited again...
Completely oblivious right now his older brother was being hung upside down by the tentacle and making a daring escape out of it's grasp.
It wasn't really till Ryan got focused again that Dakota did as well. "OH SORRY WILSON, You alright?" He leaped in the fray again with Chama drawn....
"DON'T THINK THIS EXCUSES YOU FROM ANSWERING TO THIS DEBATING RYAN!!"
Chama slashed out with a nice hit to the tentacle.

Was Wilson angry yet? Not quite, but he was beginning to get exasperated at the two boys’ bickering. He sighed loudly. “If I remember correctly, krakens usually look like a giant octopus or squid, so I guess you’re both half-right? I don’t know. How about you two continue that conversation when we get back to the base? Sound like a plan?” He managed to stand back on his feet and waved Dakota off with a clumsy, cannon-covered arm. “Yeah, just peachy.” Sarcasm at its best.
He trekked across the ice, careful not to slip since his boots weren’t exactly snow boots. He switched between looking at the ground and the squirming tentacle as he took aim once again. “Alright, watch out! Again!” Wilson released another stream of billowing gas.

Still only half focused on the battle at hand, Ryan turned to glare at Dakota. "Who freakin' cares!? Movies are full of fictional crap and don't say he got eaten when were fighting something that matches the damn description!" He hissed out before slamming his fist into the tentacles side with bruising force. Poor Wilson was still trying to get the two to concentrate. It was only when he suggested the two of them postpone the 'conversation' for later, that Ryan agreed. Though not without yelling back first.
"FINE! WE'LL DISCUSS THIS LATER! BUT JUST SO YOU KNOW, YOU'RE FULL OF s**t!"

"I still say its a freaking Kraken!"
He paused and....
"I AIN'T FULL OF ANY SHITS RYAN!!!!"
He ignited the gas Wilson set off, sending the Kraken tentacle aflame.
Because it was a Kraken.

Wilson sighed and decided to stand back and enjoy the flaming explosion that was Chama's fire and Gramps' poisonous gas. Bickering. Bickering. More bickering.
"How about you're both full of s**t?" He didn't sound angry, but slightly curious and mostly exasperated as he walked across the ice and gave the tentacle a single, hard kick. It thrashed one more time, scraping the edge of Wilson's pants before it finally crept back into the ice.
Another sigh as he walked back to the abandoned equipment pack. "I don't know about you, but let's hurry back to base before it decides to have a round two."

"And I still say you're an idiot!" He snapped, only to wince when Dakota ignited the fumes and blasted the NON-kraken's tentacle back. Which, he had to admit, was a clever move. Not that he'd be telling Dakota anytime soon.
His expression darkened again when Wilson decided to cut in. This time causing Ryan to turn his glare on him.
"Don't lump me in with Mr.'I watched pirates of the Caribbean, it must be a kraken,' Wilson." He practically growled the words out, crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't even acknowledge the tentacle as it snaked back down into the crevice of ice. Instead, he took Wilson's suggestion and stomped off, back towards the camp.

Dakota watched as Ryan stalked off before smirking.
"I think its a Kraken still." He shrugged and followed after the hunter.
"I'm hungry, we should eat when we get back."

"Ryan, wai--..." Wilson reached out toward Ryan, but then stopped and sighed. Ryan knew Wilson hadn't meant it right? Right? He just wanted both of them to stop bickering like little children.
He put on his goggles and nearly slapped his forehead at Dakota. "Yeah, okay. We'll find something to eat when we get back." This had been a great rescue mission.
He still didn't care if it was a kraken or not.
