He smiled at her, as shining with boy as she was it was hard not to. A chuckle passed his lips when the woman began naming off things that would make being her companion more complicated. "My Angel, I grew up with a woman who could go from being the happiest person in the world to a raging bear at the drop of a hat. Most of the people I spent time with were hard to get along with and all of us had a lot going on in life, mainly because of our choice of activities but." He shrugged and grinned mischievously. Again, he had spoken more about himself than he usually would. Why was she so easy to talk to? Her next topic took him by surprise but made him smile as well. "I treasure a good friendship, but, if I may be so bold, perhaps the reason you have fallen out of love so quickly before is because it wasn't really love. Maybe you just hadn't found the right person yet."

"It wasn't really love. Hadn't found the right person yet." she sighed as she repeated the words over and over in her head for several long moments. She almost seemed like she'd shut down before she finally looked up at Wren, curiosity and sorrow shadowing her eyes. "To be quite frank, Wren... I'm wondering if I'll ever find that person...." her voice was soft, barely audible as she stood there looking at him.

She sighed but made no other sounds for what seemed like an eternity. Was she okay? Maybe he shouldn't have said that, he hadn't meant to upset or sadden her. Honestly, he had been hoping for a smile or something similar. When she finally did speak his frown deepened, especially when he saw the sorrow in her own two tone eyes. Closing the small distance between them Wren wrapped his arms around her once more then backed away slightly and cupped her chin in his hand to make sure she would be looking at him. "Amaranthe, my Angel, I find it impossible to believe you will not find that person." He sighed mentally. Who cared about consequences? The only thing he could think about right now was making her happy and if that got him slapped so be it. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, smiling down at her afterwards. "Who knows, maybe you already have."

Suddenly his lips were pressed to hers and her eyes shot wide open for a split second before she relaxed and they drifted closed. When he spoke, they opened again, confusion shining in her eyes... For once, Amaranthe had nothing to say, and stood there, completely dumbfounded for several long moments before she did finally come up with something to say. "Well... That was rather unexpected...." she gave a soft laugh and her cheeks flushed the barest of pinks as she looked up at him.

His answer would come several moments later when she spoke again. He laughed as well and smiled at her, the faint blush on her cheeks did not go unnoticed either. "Was it truly?" He smiled down and took her hand once more. "You are beautiful, my Angel. Anyone would be a fool not to see that." He stroked her cheek affectionately with his free hand. ""Give me chance? I would be honored to be your one and only, even if only for a moment." He'd never felt so strongly about someone before, though he'd never really thought about love either.

What was she supposed to do... With words like those, what the hell.... Taking a deep breath, Amaranthe listened to the rest of his words and played those over in her head. She still had no idea what to do, I mean quite seriously, she liked Wren, but she wasn't sure what to do... After a few more seconds, Amaranthe shook her head rather violently and acted on impulse, going up on tiptoe, she pressed her lips to his.

Before things only seemed to slow done before was when he was just laying around, but now, waiting for her response it seemed like eons were passing. Yet, he was sure it hadn't been more than a minute or two. He saw her shake her head and his heart began to plummet...well, until she came up and kissed him that is. Smiling, he returned her kiss and hugged her close. He could honestly say that he had never felt so happy before. Nothing could compare to this.

"Oh my...." she giggled softly and smiled at him, one eyebrow arched. This was most certainly not what she'd expected when she'd felt his pain, it had been what, all of maybe half an hour? "You know, I must say, this isn't what I expected when I decided to come in here after feeling your pain..." she gave another soft smile and flushed slightly.

The words she spoke made him laugh, quite honestly he had pretty much forgotten about that. "Well, it's hardly what I expected to find when coming here...or what I had thought of when that happened. You won't hear any complaints from me though." His eyes sparkled with joy and just a bit of mischief as well. Of course there was always a mischievous air about him, that was just part of who he was. "So, my Angel, is there anything you would like to do now?" Wren had forgotten that he had been heading to the shower when the pain had struck him.

At his words, she stopped to think about if there was anything she wanted of him currently, and then, as Amaranthe stood there debating, she realized that he was half naked and her cheeks were suddenly brilliantly red as her eyes shot up to meet his. "Uh, Wren... Were you heading to do something when the pain hit you, or were you just half naked for no reason....?" there was some humor in her voice as she looked up to meet his eyes, watching his face for a reaction.

He arched one eyebrow when her cheeks suddenly turned bright red and wondered just what had caused this. Her two tone eyes shot up to meet his and then she began to speak. Was he doing something before- Ah, yes! Still, her words made him chuckle. So, she hadn't noticed that before then? "Well, I had been training...then off to shower. Though I had recently woken up as well, so..." The male shrugged slightly then he bent down and swept the towel he had forgotten about off of the floor. "Besides, I find this more comfortable." That was not to say he would walk around shirtless all the time, but when by himself a pair of pants was usually all he would wear.

What was he training for? She nibbled on her bottom lip as she looked up at him, debating whether she should just ask or not. "Alright, I'll bite... As otherwise curiosity may wipe me out... What were you training for? I can't say I'll complain about the view that your training allows, but it makes me curious as to what you're training for exactly..." her eyes were earnest as she looked away and then back at him and continued "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to...."

"Quite honestly, I see no reason to keep it from you my Angel. Though my answer may change your perspective of me." If it did, so be it. Wren was who he was and wasn't ashamed to admit it. In fact, he was quite proud of himself. True, he might use underhanded ways but always, his motives were to help others. He would never take from those who were kind either. "My training is to help me stay limber, flexible, strong. It is to keep me in peak physical condition for my...occupation. I need to be able to enter and exit a room without being seen, escape from a chase or any other number of things. I would hardly be successful if I got captured by the authorities all the time." He smiled mischievously and bowed to her as he continued. "I am one of mother's best thieves after all."

She was frustrated, and unsure how to react... He was a thief.... One of "mother's best thieves" from what he'd said. One eyebrow arched as she looked around after a moment and huffed softly. "A thief, huh.... Well.... That was once more, unexpected...." she chuckled and shrugged one shoulder. "Anyway, doesn't change my thoughts on you, love, not in the slightest... I'm sure you've got your reasons, just as I have mine for everything I've done...." she went up on tiptoe, kissing his cheek. "I want to show you something, you're welcome to use, but it's a bit of a walk.... Come with me?" she put out one hand, smiling as she offered.

Of course, he hadn't explained things completely, but even if what he did was to help others it did not change the fact that he stole. Whether for good or bad, he was a thief and he enjoyed it, besides, it was kind of a family tradition. "Well, most think I'm kidding when I say it, but it is what I do. I am very particular about my targets though." He said with a shrug of his shoulders, smiling at her. He was actually relieved to hear it didn't change her opinion of him and she was right, he did have his reasons. His grin only widened when she came up and kissed his cheek. Something he could use? Now, just what might that be? "Of course, my Angel." Wren spoke, grinning and taking her offered hand then waiting to see where they would go. "I would follow you to the ends of the earth and beyond."
