Jerry the Penguin could in fact see Robert. And hear him. Which was enough incentive to runwaddle like hell. With a terrified quack and a flap of his flippers, he made a B-line for the safety of one of the tents.

"Oh, you scared it!" Madison sighed, then slumped to sit in the snow again. "It came up to me all by itself earlier, put its little chin on my leg and everything. Cutest penguin ever." She gave Robert a sad pout.

Robert stared at the retreating penguin, his eyes wide as he watched it walk away. He waved his arm and made wordless sounds of confusion, until finally he managed something.
"Wha. WHAT. I COULDN'T HAVE SCARED IT OFF!" Robert's arms waved wildly in the air. "IT CAN'T SEE ME!" He cracked his knuckles, and glared at it. "Well scared or not, say the word Maddie. And I will catch that little son of a b***h and put a collar on it, just for you."
Now it was a matter of pride.

"I, uh, I'm... what do you mean, it can't see you? Like, why wouldn't it be able to see you?" Madison stared at Robert, as if willing him to make sense. Probably wouldn't work, admittedly, but the sheer weirdness was somehow soothing. It was a predictable kind of strange, rather than a horrifying, soul-destroying kind.

The penguin huddled behind a tent flap, watching, waiting. It could see you, Robert and it was not convinced for his safety.
Carefully, quietly, it waddled its way from snow drift to snow drift. He was alright with Maddie thinking he was some escaped pet but... He did not trust Robert with small animals.
Not in the least.
Especially when he was said small animal.

"Did I just see a penguin with glasses run by?" Food and a nap had gone a long way towards making Jordan feel more like a human being again; right now, some fresh air was called for, because the rest tent might be warm, but it was also a little stuffy.
Familiar voices had drawn him over in this direction, but he was a little confused. Weirdness was pretty much usual for this line of work, but you never quite stopped blinking at the latest bit of weird.

"OH MY GOD IT CAME BACK I knew I didn't care it off!" Robert had almost immediately noticed the waddling creature, which was a stark contrast to before, when he had hardly noticed it at all. Robert liked to live in extremes, and currently his extreme was CATCH MADISON A PENGUIN mode. So he bent down into the snow, completely ignoring Jordan because he was certain his boss couldn't see him, and started to shimmy across the snow on his stomach, right past Jordan's feet.
"It's penguin season."

"Jordan!" Madison said, with a grin and a wave - a grin that kind of froze on her face as Robert dropped to the ground and started, uh. Shimmying.
"... I don't... I'm not... don't ask me, I don't know," she said, finally, looking from Jordan to Robert to the penguin and back again.

"Boss, I know you can hear me, but if you're wondering where I am, I'm near your feet, okay. Because I'm invisible, and I'm going to use this super power to catch Madison a penguin. So don't kick around or anything. Shhhhhh."
....
"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."

Oh god oh god oh god he was spotted! Jerry gave a terrified quack, flippers flailing as he tried to waddle as far out of reach as possible- but there were too many hunters milling about. Too many feet with which to step on him. Frantically, he double backed, crossing through the snow to try at hiding by Maddie's feet with a desperate, "Waaaark."

"Robert. I can see you." Jordan poked Robert's shoulder with his toe. "Did you eat anything weird recently, dude?"

THE PENGUIN
WAS
BACK.
Madison slow~wly crouched down and put her hands around the scared bird, then gathered it in when no biting or pooping seemed to be forthcoming. "Aw, it's so... so cute! See, Robert, you don't have to, like... be all secret agent man about it or whatever. Awww... you're really tame, aren't you?" She gathered the penguin in and held it gently to her chest, running one hand over its head. Pet the penguin. Pet, pet, pet.
So. Cute.

Jerry had mixed emotions about being picked up. On one hand, it was kind of awkward considering he was *naked* and she was putting her hands all over him, and he had no idea when the bandage would wear off... but on the other... mmm.... something about the grooming through his feathers felt.... pretty good.
The penguin shivered with a cooing noise under her fingertips, glasses dropping from his bill to the snow. It was ok, though, he could tuck his face under her arm where it was warm.
Also it was safe from the out-of-his-mind-Robert. Who knew what was in HIS bandage.

Ennéa crept to the entrance of the tent and peeked out. Despite her best efforts to not sleep ever again she had conked out at some point and when she awoke both Maddie and Jordan were gone.
A small queasy ball of fear had twisted in her stomach upon discovering her friends weren't in the tent but she quickly squashed the feeling. Who knew how long she had been out? They probably were outside.
Ennéa firmly wrapped her blanket around herself and ventured outside. She probably looked like a weird human sausage made of blanket but she didn't care; she was warm. Her breath puffed in white clouds before her face.
She rounded a side of the tent and breathed in relief. There was Maddie and Jordan and... Robert flopping about in the snow? Ennéa smiled at his antics and then waddled up to join her friends.
"Hi Jordan, Ma---" Ennéa noticed what the other girl was holding and the rest of her greeting turned into a high-pitched squeal of delight young girls usually saved for puppies and kittens. Apparently penguins counted too. "Oh a penguin!!! It's so cuuuuuuuuuute!" She stared at it with starry eyes. She had to pet it.
