Luidaeg knew his clan loved him, and if anything prized him all the more for his uniqueness. He knew it! And yet, in the hold of this child's dream, his own nightmare from an insecure youth, he was sure it was only a matter of time before his clan showed their true feelings, casting him away like shed skin. His head knew that was not true, but his heart still doubted occasionally, and now it was if he were back at the beginning, when he couldn't conceive that they would want one so warped as he.
His mind went back and forth, back and forth, unable to move past the dream but also knowing it to be false. He startled when a hand settled upon his shoulder, looking up at the Horsewoman with a combination of gratitude and embarrassment. He stood shakily, sweat cooling on his flushed skin as she led him out. Little chance that he'd be coming back here again. Must have been that incense...

((a post to finish Luidaeg's shade battle in the jewelcrafting class))
Luidaeg swung desperately, knowing if he didn't take out the shade with this hit, he couldn't take another. He could see the shadowed claws moving towards him, his own claws seemed like they could not possibly hit it before he was hit himself. He closed his eyes, and felt resistance, sweet resistance under his claws just as the shadows began to touch him. His eyes opened in disbelief, as the shade dissipated in front of him. He would have cheered, had he the strength. Instead, he just grinned, falling back into his seat. He'd done it! Only just, but he'd done it! He couldn't help but look to the instructor, his ingrained habits seeking acknowledgement from the woman in charge.
