Ready to start again, the two stepped onto the stadium grounds once more. Only this time, rather than wait, the horsemen attacked the second the fight started, barely giving Tybalt time to react and quickly over powering him.
It was clever really. The black dog was naive to think that she'd carry out the battle similar to before. People changed. No matter how short the time. She was living proof of that. Because of this, it resulted in his loss. That, and the horsemen was just way too damn strong!

Roch couldn't help it. This time he summoned his guitar and headed out again, intent on seeing how he did against the next one. His arm wasn't broken--his FEAR shield wasn't either, and dammit, when did you get the chance to fight against horsemen this often?
Well, other than Invi, who was like, heir or something, and could probably kick ALL their asses.
This time, having his guitar, he spared no mercy. He got kicked twice, but the ghoul was going to be walking with a limp from all the hits he got in on her legs and torso. Awwww yeah.

Edel took a while to observe the other fights that were going on, now that Jove and Tybalt were here to join them. She was rather surprised but impressed with how well Jove did ... far better than her previously, as she watched the pup swiftly dodging his opponent and landing light but critical blows where it mattered. It didn't take too long later for one of the horsewomen challengers, evidently bored by the lack of activity, to call out to the frost demon for a duel. The ghoul entered the ring again, a little disgruntled by her opponent's apparent arrogance, though it may not be unwarranted seeing how her previous spar made her look like an easy picking.
She was not going to make the same mistake again. Applying her FEAR to her feet the minute the gong sounded, Edel sprinted towards her opponent, who was by no surprise, sprinting towards her as well. It was a full head-on collision between them, Edel pulling back at quickly and pointing a long shard of ice at her opponent's neck as she struggled to regain her balance. It was a win by the smallest of margins. Clearly annoyed by her loss, the horsewoman stomped off the ring and gestured for the next opponent to take the stage.

After glancing over to make sure Jove was doing alright (he figured they had healers on the sides) Roch went to the next fight, grinning widely with his guitar in his hand.
He caught this one with his patented 360--well, not patented, but he really loved the spinning hit. It hit the ghoul so hard that she was tossed back five feet. She managed to get a few small kicks in before he pulled it off, but really, Roch hardly even noticed them.
He was running on adrenaline.

They weren't in Invi's league. Somehow that seemed like a cruel statement to the boil, and he would never say it aloud, but they weren't. Rather than mention this to them, he just beat the living hell out of the next ghoul, slamming his guitar ruthlessly into the weak points he found and pinning her to the ground with the body of his guitar.
Then he stepped back, offering his hand to help her to her feet and giving her a grin.

Stretching, popping his neck slightly, Roch rolled his shoulders and headed for his final spar. He didn't think these fights mattered, not after they'd seen him lose the first time. But he was sure enjoying them, he thought as he brought up his guitar.
And this ghoul aimed STRAIGHT for the right arm he'd been favoring when he'd fought the first time, kicking his a**. He sort of got the feeling he had pissed her off with one of the three that he'd beaten.
Probably the one that he'd pinned to the ground.

It wasn't too big of a surprise that she was seeing her first opponent, the one whom trashed her so badly before, take to the ring in a face off again. Was it nerves? Or the look on the horsewoman's face that displayed a clear sense of superiority? Either way, it only took a few seconds for history to repeat itself again. Edel was positive that was a look of disappointment she got as the horsewoman left the ring, as if to say she thought the ghoul would have improved after picking up a thing or two.

Edel sat on the sideline for a while, reviewing her previous three matches and trying to find points where she could improve on. It only floated to her consciousness recently that she was indeed, one of the Trials champions, and that she was being a great disappointment, if not a laughing stock by now. Gritting her teeth, the ghoul headed back into the arena, ready to prove her worth again. Her next opponent get much time to think as a blast of ice headed her way, forming a medium-sized, mid-air ice barrier in her way. What was left waiting for the horsewoman as she pulled to the right was a series of icicle projectiles, scoring lines of blood on her skin. A clear victory for the ghoul this time.

Third time's the charm, or so they say. The unbeaten horsewoman approached the ring, arms folded, looking slightly more impressed by the ghoul's previous showing. There she stood, unmoving, the look in her eyes beckoning. The message she was sending could only ever be this:
Come at me bro ... sis
Armed with ice shards that seemed to form a gauntlet around her hands, the following tussle was safe to say, pretty ugly. With cuts and bruises sustained from both sides, the ghoul finally snapped and sent a blow right into the side of the horsewoman's head. Her opponent was concussed alright, but the ghoul was barely standing too. Still, a win was a win, and Edel could end the day with her head head high.

Sosiqui Weapon CraftingWhile the Horsemen of War can summon their Clan weapon to them at any point, many take pride in mastering a variety of mundane weaponry as well, both combat and manufacture - no sense in limiting oneself to only one mode of battle, after all! Even 'decorative' weapons bear a brutal edge. The Crafters' Den is a sheltered platform halfway up a massive pine, with all the materials one might want, other than metal. The head Crafter, a sharp-eyed older Horsewoman, carefully watches all students under her care to ensure a.) nothing goes missing and b.) nobody gets stupid. "You can have enough to make one knife," she grumbles. "And don't waste it, either!" Can you impress her with your craftsmanship? ... Probably not. But it's worth a try. Phase One: Weapon Creation Create a weapon of War and test its mettle. If your craftsmanship is good, you may be victorious and gain the head Crafter's favor. For a minute or two, anyway. In your first post, roll 3d4 to determine what your knife is made of, how well it is made, and how it is decorated.First Dice: Material - 1: Wood (+1 point) - 2: Seashell (+2 points) - 3: Bone (+3 points) - 4: Stone (think flint or obsidian; +4 points) Second Dice: Craftsmanship - 1: You're in a bit of a hurry, so... (Shoddy: +1 point) - 2: You throw something together. It looks kinda close? (Mediocre: +2 points) - 3: You spend a bit of time on it, and come up with something okay. (Acceptable: +3 points) - 4: You throw yourself into your work with passion, paying close attention to detail! (Awesome: +4 points) Third Dice: Artistry - 1: It's a knife. Does it really matter if it's pretty or not? (Ugly: +1 point) - 2: You wrap the hilt in leather. Good enough. (Decent: +2 points) - 3: You wrap the hilt in leather and add a feather. Pretty! (Shiny: +3 points) - 4: You wrap the hilt in leather and add stylish strands of beads and feathering. That is one cool knife. (Stylish: +4 points) Roleplay out your knife's creation! At the end of your post, put the specifics of your knife's creation (i.e. Shoddy Stylish Wood Knife) along with the total score (the total of your dice roll).Phase Two: Weapon Testing In the Clan of War, there is no such thing as a decorative blade! Even weapons destined to hang on the walls of huts are finished to battle-ready quality. You must test your knife and prove its worth, attacking the simple leathery mannequin kept in the Den for that purpose. Take your knife's point score from the creation post. This is your knife's HP. You must now do battle until your knife breaks! The number of posts your knife survives determines the number of points you get. To Do Battle:Roll 2d4 in each post. The first dice indicates the number of damage your knife does to the test target (for RP flavor!). The second dice indicates the amount of damage your knife takes from the attack. Battle ends when your knife shatters. Aw. (And yes, this means you can't take it with you. Sorry!) Point Distribution [ Horsemen Points Distribution: ] (Select only one option based on your results) You win one point if: You finish your knife (with filled-out RP) and last one or two rounds of testing. You win two points if: You finish your knife (with filled-out RP) and last three or four rounds of testing. You win three points if: You finish your knife (with filled-out RP) and last over five rounds of testing.

Well... he made a guitar on a daily basis, right? So Roch was certain he could make a decent weapon! Just... He stared at the wood, the seashell, the other stuff... How the hell did you make a weapon out of this stuff?
His hand ran over the items and he picked up a seashell, mostly because it looked the coolest. Unfortunately it was a pain in the a** to shape, he thought as he started working. He kept seeing cracks in it, which he was pretty sure wasn't good--and when he tried to make it look like his guitar head? It turned out more like a--
He stared at it blankly, not wanting to put a name to that shape. It was too embarrassing.

It was a piece of crap. Even Roch knew it was a piece of crap. He stared at it blankly, then shrugged and stabbed it into the target, surprised that it actually did a tiny bit of damage--
Then tried to do twice as much damage to his hand as it shattered, broke, and just FAILED.
He was a failure as a reaper, man. A Fail. U. R.
Good job, bro. Good job.

Weapon making. Although Jove had his own natural weapons to rely on, yesterday he learned that he couldn't have them all the time. A simple dagger would have blocked the cut on his arm, and would have been quick enough to return an attack when his teeth were unable to be brought to bear.
Sitting down at the table next to his friends, Jove pulled out the closest material to hand, a chunk of deep black obsidian. Mimicking some of the other hunters in the area, the pup took another stone and carefully tried to chip away pieces until he had a workable edge. It took some time for him to get it right, but finally he was happy with his efforts.
Finally some leather for the hilt. Jove wrapped that one thick so it felt comfortable to hold onto, and added a feather. It was a golden colour with a brown tip, reminding him of his brother.

Approaching a battered, sliced up target, Jove tentatively put his knife to the test. The fresh edge cleanly cut the fabric, but it snagged in the ripples in the blade's edge. Part of the sharp edge chipped off.

Jove attacked it again, this time using a straighter portion of the blade. He was a bit more successful, the blade was dulled less. Although it was really beginning to show some wear.
