Once again there was a drool check, and some adjusting of the clothes. Jack, did they put some weird drugs in the incense or something? Or maybe it was the room's immense power of boredom. Sabine spent some time concentrating on which was truly at fault here.

Having decided that it was a combination of the two, Sabine just kind of settled into wait. She had come to terms with the dullness of the room and the fact that she couldn't even see the other occupants. Whatevs, it's fine. This b***h can deal with a little boredom.

Thus she achieved a state of moderate tranquility.

Was that a hangnail?

Crimson eyes blazed in fury and then faded into indecision. Should she try to fix it? Maybe this place had some kind of healy magics that could fix it. Ugggh, but what if they didn't? Wouldn't leaving it alone make things worse, jack, this was why she'd avoided the War island, and now...

The student startled as one of the clan members put their hand on her shoulders, "Hey, hey now, why are you all up in my personal space?"

They quietly led her out, "Hey, not that I really wanted to stay any longer in your bore-a-thon, but I think you need to step off a bit here, got it? By the way, you got anyone here who can manage a decent meanie-cure, because I think we may have an emergency on our hands..."

Mitsu's ears perked when she heard someone coming toward the door and expected to see Hel but instead spotted the red head from earlier. Had....had she followed them?

"U..umm, hello...again?" Mitsu rose her hand in greeting as the girl continued on about a meanie-cure. The lycan was certain she had heard Junko make mention of something like it before.

Since she was still waiting for Hel who had achieved a far more tranquil state than she, Mitsu decided to chat. Or try to. Needless to say the approach was awkward and it didn't look like she knew what to say until the words finally came tumbling out of her mouth.

"My name is Mitsu. What's yours?" She had missed the exchange of names if there had been any so a simple introduction would be good to break the ice right? At least conversation of some sort would help take her mind off what she had just been thinking about during her meditation.

Mitsu wasn't allowed to linger long though because Hel soon showed up and with a nod the lycan once again followed suit behind the Valkyrie.

The Room of Mirrors

Perhaps it was not too good an idea to venture underground, after all, the signage in this place is, for lack of a better term, almost non-existent. After what seems like forever, after walking in a billion circles, you find yourself in a long corridor, seemingly infinite. It is illuminated only by torches along the sides of the walls, though rather more ornate than the ones you have seen before, and you notice, very faintly, carvings in the walls depicting the horsemen of death. Something compels you to walk towards the end; after all, you have already come this far, and you're curious about what you might find. On reaching, the corridor opens up into a large underground cavern, completely empty, except for five full-length mirrors arranged in a half-circle shape, each of them with names inscribed on their frames.

Huh. That seems almost disappointing. You were hoping, maybe, for something like treasure, hidden so far underground. Or even a nice lounge of sorts, to take a rest in. You walk towards one of the mirrors, figuring it wouldn't hurt to take a look in them-

-There is something odd about your reflection. You appear to be seeing double, but you can't figure out why. As you reach out to touch the mirror, you feel a tap on your shoulder..

Instructions
Each day you are allowed to pick up to three mirrors to investigate, please follow the prompt for the mirror you picked! Battling follows normal rules, however you cannot used your FEAR attack or any learned abilities. HP from one fight carries over to the next fight, you do not regain any HP between battles. HP is only reset when the next day rolls over. Once you reach 0hp, your opponent dissolves into smoke that swirls around you, and the next thing you know, you're back where you first started out... except the path you took to get to the chamber is simply gone.

You obtain one point for every mirror-battle won, for a total of three points. These points can be used in the raffle for characters, or to claim minipet prizes.

Mirror - Deimos
Prompt:
You are fighting your current self, it's actually pretty surreal. They say that knowing thy enemy helps, but what happens when your enemy knows you just as well.... welp.

Battle mechanics:
Opponent HP: Your doppelganger starts out with half of your total HP.
Dice: Roll 3 of your normal dice amount for each attack (ie. 3d6 instead of 2d6, 3d8 instead of 2d8, etc)
Damage taken: 5hp per attack, whether you hit or miss!
Extra: if third dice is even: your damage done is the sum of the three dice, subtract 6 l if third dice is odd, add it to your damage taken.

eg. I am a Y1 student, rolling 3d6 to get: 3, 4, 2; I do 3dmg and take 5dmg, my doppelganger takes 3 dmg total.
eg. I am a Y1 student, rolling 3d6 to get: 3, 4, 1; I do 1dmg and take 6dmg, my doppelganger takes 1 dmg total.

Mirror - Μania
Prompt:
You are fighting a version of yourself, completely corrupted by insanity. Feel free to decide your doppelganger's appearance/ etc, but remember that they should look greyed out and somewhat wispy.

Battle mechanics:
Opponent HP: Your doppelganger starts out with half of your total HP.
Dice: Roll 3 of your normal dice amount for each attack (ie. 3d6 instead of 2d6, 3d8 instead of 2d8, etc)
Damage taken: Whatever the third number you roll is. The -6 still applies to your attack!
Extra: Due to instability, your doppelganger takes 100% recoil damage from its own attack!

eg. I am a Y1 student, rolling 4d6 to get: 3, 4, 1; I do 1dmg and take 1dmg, this means my doppelganger takes 2 dmg total.

Mirror - Keres
Prompt:
You are fighting a hunter wielding a weaponised version of yourself. The hunter is completely cloaked, you cannot see their face, however, feel free to make up the appearance of the weapon, taking into consideration how hunter weapons work.

Battle mechanics:
Opponent HP: Your doppelganger starts out with half of your total HP.
Dice: Roll your normal dice.
Damage taken: 5hp per attack, whether you hit or miss.
Extra: Each hit you take weakens you; however this is purely for rp purposes and does not affect dice mechanics.

eg. I am a Y1 student, rolling 2d6 to get: 4,6; I do 4dmg and take 5dmg.

Mirror - Elpis
Prompt:
You are fighting a future version of yourself. Your doppelganger appears as you will when you are fully grown, its attacks are far stronger than yours. On the bright side... this is what you could be! Go forth and learn, little grasshopper.

Battle mechanics:
Opponent HP: Your doppelganger starts out with half your total HP minus 5.
Dice: Roll 3x of your normal dice amount for each attack (ie. 6d6 instead of 2d6, 6d8 instead of 2d8, etc)
Damage taken: Add up the last four dice in your roll and subtract 6.
Extra: Due to instability, your doppelganger takes 50% recoil damage from its own attack!

eg. I am a Y1 student, rolling 4d6 to get: 3, 4, 1, 3, 2, 4; I do 1dmg and take 2dmg, my doppelganger takes 2 dmg total.

Mirror - Aporia
Prompt:
You are fighting a horseman version of yourself. They are stronger than you are, and somehow also much more aggressive. Pick a suitable clan, appearance is up to you to decide.

Battle mechanics:
Opponent HP: Your doppelganger starts out with half of your total HP minus 5.
Dice: Roll 2x of your normal dice amount for each attack (ie. 4d6 instead of 2d6, 4d8 instead of 2d8, etc)
Damage taken: Add up your last two dice, but do not subtract 6.
Extra: Due to instability, your doppelganger takes 100% recoil damage from its own attack!

eg. I am a Y1 student, rolling 4d6 to get: 3, 4, 1, 3; I do 1dmg and take 4dmg, my doppelganger takes 5 dmg total.

Their exploration had taken them deep underground. It made Mitsu a little edgy and nervous. She used to be fine with confined spaces but now found them troublesome. Her eyes darted around unsure if there would be dangers lurking about and felt more lost then usual as they wandered in circles. There were no real signs to tell them if they were heading in any particular direction but they did finally stumble upon a long corridor.

The entire place was lit with torches and Mitsu quickly scanned the carvings along the walls. She took another step, slowly and cautiously as she looked at each carving in turn, making her way down the corridor at a steady pace.

Looking forward Mitsu could see the large cavern like room ahead of them. She could barely see what was inside but it looked reflective. "What do you think is in there?" She asked looking back at Hel.

What was amazing about the Isle of Death…was that there was more to it than met the eye. There was so much to see, and a lot of times, they just seemed to be stumbling into new areas…just like now. Though admittedly, Hel was a bit more on guard, seeing as they were far underground, had gone around in circles, and were now nearing the end of a long corridor.

Eh…I am not certain…but we have come too far to not find out, ya?” Thus, the ghoul started to move towards the end of the corridor.

"Hey, Mitzi, Wait up creepacita!" Stalking through corridor, Sabine huffed a bit, "Lookit you two, getting lost down here. You're lucky I've decided to look out for you, who knows what troubles you might be having if I weren't so charitable." Noticing the large cavern, her eyebrows rose, "Hey, you think they might has some treasure down here? I hear the priestess are big on jewelry which is a total waste because those aboolitas never know how to rock the accessories."

Striding into the cavern, Sabine was, for a brief moment, severely disappointed. Then she saw her reflection. Posing a bit in front of the Mirror of Deimos, she turned to Hel and Mistu and reassured them. "My butt looks fabulous in this dress."

She turned back to the mirror and frowned a bit, "Does it seem a bit blurry to you?"

"Y..yes, I suppose," Mitsu agreed. They had come rather far, it would be a shame to just turn back and never find out what was at the end of the hall.

The lycan nearly jumped at the sound of approaching footfalls turning wondering if she should be prepared for a fight only to be greeted with a non to familiar voice. "M..Mitzi? B...but my name is Mitsu." She pointed at herself to clarify though she was certain Sabine didn't hear her with the way she carried on about treasure and jewelry.

"Y..yes...thank you," Mitsu tried to sound sincere about it but she seemed a bit confused. Mostly how it was charitable that Sabine had decided to tail them. Oh well, she didn't seem completely bad right?

Hesitating only a moment Mitsu followed Sabine into the cavern looking around for said treasure but only saw the mirrors. She paused watching Sabine pose nodding awkwardly in some sort of non-committal agreement, before walking up to the Mania Mirror to have a look.

"It doesn't look blurry but....its oddly distorted?" Otherwise why would there be two of her instead of one?

Mitsu stared long and hard at her double. She didn't know what to make of her second reflection. For the most part she looked the same as she was now, same clothes, hair, and stance but one of her eyes looked odd. Its appearance was off and there was an odd coloration of gray spreading from that eye across her face. Even bits of her white hair were tainted with the gray color and it made Mitsu nervously turn to look at her braid. Nope...it still looked fine.

She was still examining herself to make sure she hadn't missed something when she felt the tap on her should and looked back to find...herself?

The attack had been swift and unexpected, her insanity corrupted self charged forward and slashed. At first Mitsu was frozen taking a hefty bit of damage for it but finally snapped out of her stupor and retaliated back with force of her own.

HP: 34
Damage: 8

The insanity driven Mitsu was powerful and the regular Mitsu wasn't sure what to do. Panic was evident in her eyes as she moved away trying to avoid attack. Who knew this was going to be part of her training? No one had told her be prepared you'll be fighting yourself. Some fair warning would have been nice!

The lycan came in for a weak attack but it was unnecessary. The doppelganger had managed a strong attack of its own but suffered for it vanished shortly after. "W...what was that?" Mitsu asked nervously looking around for any further signs of danger. There were claw marks across her arm which she touched lightly. It was evidence what she had seen wasn't an illusion.

Damage: 1
Doppelganger HP: 6 - 7 - 1 = -2

Leaning in close and squinting, Sabine pouted a bit at her reflection, "I don't know, now it looks a little fat..."

A tawny, perfectly meanie-cured hand lashed out of the mirror and slapped Sabine, leaving her wide-eyed and gasping in affront. How dare this b***h just come out and slap her face! Who did she think she was dealing with?! Turning to look for help, she saw the Lycan in a similar predicament. Glaring as her doppelganger emerged from the mirror, the vampire sneered, "Looks like mirrors really do add ten pounds."

Grabbing her look-a-like's hair, Sabine slammed her back up against the mirror, "Sorry, freaka, but you need to know your place."

The reflection gave a mean little laugh and took hold of Sabine's hair, flipping their positions and slamming the original hard against the mirror. "Naw, ghoul," it smiled at her, "I think it's time for the better b***h to take the reigns."

Squealing, Sabine pulled hard at the faux-pire's hair. It sneered at her and then proceeded to pull out her earring. The vampire let out a vicious shriek.
