Ulmuka, as if reading Amrita's mind when she thought of Christof, looked around behind him to make sure that the hunchback was lurking and waiting to strike. The last time he'd spoken with her it had not worked out in his benefit.
"Your boilfriend is not here?" He assumed that was the situation since he'd been hit. Thankfully the strix didn't seem too worried or angry with her. In fact he was still grinning, despite the sour memories.
While chatting he'd decided to grab the sharpest hardest thing he could find to work with. It was a piece of obsidian, black, and cut into a sharp edge. It was even slightly hooked and reminded the strix of a talon.
When it came to construction he wasn't very clear on what to do. He rushed through it quite a bit, sticking things together and wrapping other things. It only took moments and looked rather pathetic.
In an effort to spice it up a bit, Muka put on his finishing touches. He wrapped it in bits of leather and attached some feathers. He actually plucked two of his own. They were quite inconspicuous pinions and wouldn't do him any harm in the long run. After the rush job, he held up a rather good looking Shoddy Shiny Obsidian Knife.

Calder looked around for the strongest item he could find. If he was going to make a weapon, he wanted it to be tough. Considering all the weapons that had been thrown at him, they all seemed tough and sturdy.
Considering the materials offered, he reached for a dark black stone, looking it over and tapping it against the tabletop. Yup. That was tough.
The only thing was that it really didn't help keep anything on. He tried fashioning some materials around it, but each and every time it loosened and fell off. Welp, basic was going to have to do despite how badly Calder wanted to make his weapon pretty.

Herryk sniffled and gave Calder a gracious little pat on his shoulder. "Calder is very brave." The draugr nodded, still feeling like an overprotective mother hen, and hovered near the kelpie.
"Hello, Amrita," he nodded towards the Vetala. They'd met during the same knitting thing that Herryk could recall Ulmuka from, and Herryk was glad to see so many recognizable faces.
Herryk approached the table where the materials were all laid out, gravitating towards the wood. Wrapping the hilt in leather, Herryk added a few bits of flair in the form of beads and feathers. All in all, Herryk was pleased with his knife. It was... pretty acceptable, and entirely stylish.

Somehow, Shun had a feeling that teaching a handful of people who had never handled a weapon really before how to fight with a dagger spelt disaster. For now, he decided to not say anything of it and just moved back to the table so that he could start working. Looking them over, he picked up a chunk of obsidian. It looked like it would make a pretty good blade.
However.. turning it into a blade was not too easy. It wasn't quite as simple as using a whetstone on his daggers. That aside, he wasn't entirely certain how his own daggers were held together, so he just sort of tied it up. From there, he wrapped the hilt with leather to give himself a better grip.
And for the hell of it, he added a feather. Because why the hell not.

Amrita was admiring her knife when Muka piped up, the simple question making her startle so much that she nearly dropped her knife.
"B-b-b-oilfriend?!" The knife had been caught it blade first, and she tried to pretend it didn't happen by pretending to put extra beads and feathers on it. "Oh. Um. Ah....y-you mean Christof?" Her face was patching with blush spots, her gaze intensely focused on the knife that was cutting into her stitched hand. "He's, um, not here. Didn't come." Carefully she switched the blade to hold it properly, holding it out at arms length to admire it.
It looked like it was going to fall apart, but...at least it was fashionable!
"This part wasn't so bad!" She commented mostly to herself, ignoring her earlier startle to take stock of the knives as they were completed. "Wow! Looks good, everyone!" Optimism also helped to ignore the heights; win-win for her!
"Now what?"

Looking over his creation, Shun held it, testing its feel. It didn't compare to his own daggers at all, but it was also his first time making a weapon. So.. he supposed it was alright.
"I believe we are to test these out. Test them," he said before moving over to the test target. Narrowing his eyes, he gripped onto the hilt and slashed out at it.
It left a pretty good gash in it, but he could have sworn he felt something crack in his palm. He might have hit too good there.

Muka wondered why Amrita had stuttered so much but didn't think too deeply on the subject. Deep thinking was not really his forte. "Well I am glad I will not be punched!" He said it as a joke and began to laugh, screeching gleeful laughter.
He usually was his own best audience.
His laughing only stopped when he watched Shun attack the dummy. "Shun can show us pointers!" After the successful strike, the strix tried his own knife. He didn't stab so much as slash. It was more comfortable for him to do so. The blade seemed to achieve a solid hit and held up pretty well for his first try.

Herryk approached the leathery dummy with a grim look on his face. He wasn't one for weapons, of course. Being undead meant he didn't get to tote around a sword or a dagger or whatever else reapers carried around.
Holding the small yet stylish weapon in one hand, Herryk jabbed it at the training dummy.
Well, so far so good. He didn't do much damage but his fashionable little poker was holding up well enough.

Calder smiled as Muka teased Amrita, and nudged the undead. "Too bad, huh Amrita? We had to leave the boils at home." He snickered, before slipping away from the table and following the rest to test his weapon.
The mannequin looked rather pathetic, cut up across it's body with previous abuse. Still, as long as it wasn't living, he was fine with it.
The weapon was awkward in his hands, but he tried to grip it tightly and jabbed with all his strength. The jab stuck true, but the poorly made weapon was being tested in turn.

Glancing at Muka, Shun nodded. If they wanted pointers, he could give some. But he wasn't really sure what to say unless they asked something more specific. Turning towards the target, he took in a breath and struck it once more. Another sizeable cut was left in its place, and it seemed that he had a little more control over his strike too this time.
The knife didn't feel like it was about to crumble.

Flattening his mouth, Herryk shot Shun a glance.
"How does Shun hold his dagger?"
Rearranging the hilt in his hand, Herryk shot his fist forward and did a little more damage the second time he attacked. Just a little bit more, but even still, his knife was holding up pretty well.

Herryk fumbled with his weapon, turning to peer at Shun so that he could at least try to mimic the way the reaper held the dagger.

Ulmuka watched the others all try and this time tried to do a stab. Perhaps he would get a more damaging result?
His knife stabbed into the dummy and he felt the object in his hand quiver slightly. Nothing felt apart or broke so he figured so far so good. He felt like he didn't do as much damage as he had with a slash.
"Nice knives everyone!" So far their knives were holding up well. He cast a glance at the elder horsewoman who was supervising them. Her stony expression hardly gave the strix an inkling into what she was thinking.

Hearing Herryk's question, Shun turned to him and showed the way he held the knife. He wielded it like he did with his daggers; with a reverse grip.
"I usually wield mine like this. However..." he started before flipping the grip so that the blade was upright, "This is also viable. Gripping it like this allows for lower stabs easily."
To demonstrate, he flipped the grip once more and slashed the target yet again. Afterwards, he furrowed his brow and looked over the weapon. It felt like it was going to fall apart pretty soon.

Ulmuka tried to duplicate what Shun did. He got a solid hit but he felt the knife crack. He was petty sure the only thing holding it together was the leather binding.
