She leaned a little towards him in awe as he began to flap around like a chicken, waiting for fire to burst from his mouth or engulf his mane puff or something cool.
But then he stopped and stared up at his own horn expectantly and she rocked back onto her feet.
"No.." she almost sounded like she didn't want to say it, in case it disappointed him. "I didn't see it. But the sun is really bright today." Maybe it was too bright to see? That made sense.
She glanced away, up to the sky, and shifted her wings a little. "Have you ever seen a big god use power?"

The lions ears wilted a little hearing that he may have not produced any flames. The god's ears lifted again hearing the explanation from the goddess. Maybe he had! He did a victory jump.
"I hope so~" He really hoped that innocence had some extreme fire power to back its domain. It made sense to the god so it had to be right. Right? Right. To say the least, Van was very proud of him self right now.
A loud squawking could be heard over head. It was closing in fast now. Van made a face like he'd been caught with blood on his paws. It was a face of guilt, complete guilt. Bara landed on top of the gods head and began sqawking loudly.
"Another godling! Another godling!" The lion pawed at the hawk to shoo him but this just caused the bird to circle over head.
"We're playing! Go away!" Van stuck his tongue out at the hawk.

As the squawking neared, the smaller godling tensed and began to look around immediately for the source. When it landed right in front of her, her amber eyes widened and she leaned her upper body back awkwardly. When the other godling started to swat she lost her balance completely and flopped over onto her side, barely on top of the boulder.
"Why are you so loud?" She frowned, rolling over onto her belly and picking her head up to stare at the bird as it soared up overhead. And then leaned over and quietly whispered to Van: "who is that?"

The god was surprised to watch Alkaid fall over. He scooted over close to her to see if she was alright. The goddess appeared to be alright at the very least. She even asked him a question. Van leaned in to whisper, "Thats Bara my hawk. He's supposed to watch out for me I think."
And then just then the hawk swooped down and landed on the boulder with the two cubs. The birds expression was both pleased and annoyed at the same time.
"Two god cubs!" It squawked again as if it was still trying to process this.
"Yes two." Van shook his head. "And a very loud bird." If the cub had been a little older and wiser he might have also retorted something about a loud bird putting two god cubs in danger by being loud. But Van had yet to have the life experience to know good come backs.
"Its dangerous for you two out here. Very dangerous." Now Bara was sounding like a broken record again. Van looked to the bird and then to the goddess.
"Do you think its dangerous?" Van asked her in a whisper.

"Oh," she said quietly in response to Van's answer, sobered by the squawking bird and his insistence that they were unsafe. She glanced around them at the plains, looking for anything dangerous, but the only thing she could see or hear besides Van.. was the bird.
"I don't know," she whispered back, but her ears had fallen a little and she suddenly seemed unsure of herself. She'd yet to find something dangerous, but then she had also avoided everyone until now.
"This is all I know," she sat up a little and settled her eyes on the hawk, realizing he might be willing to give up a little information. She always needed questions answered! "Why is it dangerous? I don't.. have anywhere else to go, so I should know that, right?"
She glanced sideways at Van as if to confirm it was something important for her to know, then back at the bird expectantly.

Van mimicked the goddess letting his ears fall, but the god was not unsure of him self at all. Still, he had to agree he wasn't sure what all was dangerous out here. The bird had at the very least stopped its squawking. Hawks made such loud noises.
"God cub did you wander out here all alone?" Bara's excitement and worry had subsided at least for the moment.
"Course she's not alone," Van's ears lifted back up as he informed the hawk, "She's got me and you silly loud beak. See! She's not all alone," Van logic at its finest. Bara opened his beak only to close it once more. Having traveled with Van so far had taught the bird not to question the gods logic.
"You're with us.. right?" The god whispered to the goddess.
