For a moment she was perplexed. Why was he casting about like he feared an attack? Slowly, however, comprehension dawned upon her. He did not realize why she was eager. Mayhaps not an official storyteller, but perhaps just someone with a natural proclivity? Well then, she could be of aid! "I was hoping that you would el...el....ela....tell more of your tale, please," she said, trying to help. She hated that she did not know how to pronounce elaborate, however. Her limitations were a constant source of frustration for her when interacting with other Soqili.

She nodded quite eagerly. "Elaborate," she repeated, not to emphasis her agreement, but rather to simply relish her enjoyment of the taste of the word on her tongue. Elaborate. What a pretty word.

"Ah... well..." he considered then launched into a tale of a time he had wandered off and found himself stuck in a well. How he'd gotten there, he still wasn't certain, but he'd had some rather creative ways to get out... all of which failed, of course.

She listened with rapt focus and attention excited. She was all but bouncing. It was not as good as a book; for one thing she could not go back to reread a section. However, it was still fascinating. She closed her eyes and attempted to envision the well as he described it, but unlike reading, she could not pause to put herself into the world, to imagine what she would do. She decided at the end that she had enjoyed the story, however still greatly preferred a good book. "Thank you," she said cheerfully to him. She wondered if he had ever considered writing his stories down for others to read. She would relish the chance to revisit it at her own leisure.
