The look Harrison gave her at the cuff was not one of friendly, understanding camaraderie. He stepped back, and his hand went right to B0nez's handle.
He'd been willing to brush it aside, accept her word against his entire squad that it hadn't been her that split him wide open for a pendant in The Room. But he hadn't forgotten. The glare was met with frosty readiness.
She softened. Reached out. He tensed.
She told him she'd never try to kill him. He admired Candace's cut-throat bitchiness, but right now, all he saw was a snake dripping with poison and telling him that it was honey. "Yeah," he said aloud. Yeah. You I can trust. How could I forget.
She babbled on about Rep and Jordan and told him it would be okay.
"Rep's not in or out of the closet, he's just a*****e," Harrison said, "and what the ******** does it matter with Jordan? All this like or don't like highschool s**t. At the end of the day, you know what I want? Not to be dead. And for you not to be dead. And for them not to be dead. And for ********>

The sand underneath his feet shifted again as his boot knocked against something solid. He barely had time to back up before a beetle the size of a large dog barreled towards his face.
Being ready to stab something worked in his favor. He brought up one sword as a guard, and the blade clattered off whatever the shell was made of. The bug was hissing and spitting, and the weight forced Harrison down on his back. It was on top of him. Alive. Fighting. and there was nothing more satisfying then when B0nez's shorter blade broke through the mess of legs and crunched into the bug's center.
He rolled over and sent the second blade into its head, then wiggled it back and forth to see the face and eyeballs and mandibles crack apart until it was a collapsed pile of parts and bugjuice.
Then he stabbed it again for good measure.
Harrison decided he was feeling slightly better.

Dakota grinned as he looked at Candace before giving her a thumbs up.
"Right as desert sand in this heat I guess." He looked back to Harrison who didn't return his wave and frowned.
"You okay bro?" He came at the tail end of the conversation and swung his arm around the moon hunter before pulling him close.
"High school s**t? Drama? I didn't think we had time for it here but its not going to stop just because of where were at." He also caught the mention of Rep before shrugging, none of his business.
He frowned against the mention of killing Harrison before lifting his chin.
"I don't know what happened bro, but I'm not so stupid as to kill you because I can. Your my moon brother..." Dakota blinked, "No matter what you do, or what someone else does, I'll be there defending you. And repairing...and whatever other s**t moon hunters do." He looked at Eva next and Candace.
"I'd do the same for anyone else considering where were at." He pointed to the sand, to the tents and frowned. Whatever ******** happened, Dakota wasn't going to accept Harrison's attitude and distrust.
"Don't make me prove how loyal I can be Harrison..." Dakota grin returned instantly, "It will not end well....I think..Or will it end well...Okay END WELL."

Eva remained silent as they approached Harrison and Candace, her brows drawing together in confusion when Harrison spoke to them. Er...what was this "if you want to kill me too" thing about, exactly? It was pretty obvious that he was angry about something, but she wasn't entirely certain what this something was.
She chose to say nothing as Candace and Harrison continued with their conversation, but since she was standing right there, she inevitably picked up what was probably little bits and pieces of the issue that was bothering the former-Epsilon. Something about Rep, clearly, but she didn't know anything beyond the fact that the redheaded Hunter was involved.
Perhaps that was for the best.
What kept Eva from saying much was because she didn't know Harrison too well, and this was coupled with the fact that she was simply in a more solemn mood than usual. However, this didn't stop her from flinching when a large beetle suddenly burst out from the sand and immediately went after the Moon Trainee. Biting back a yell of alarm, the girl took a step forward to help when she realized that the man didn't need it. She heard the crunch of Harrison's weapon breaking through the beetle's shell, and then...
W-wow. That was actually pretty impressive. Hopefully it helped him relieve a bit of stress as well.
She looked over towards Dakota as he piped up, a small, lop-sided smile spreading over her lips. "Well...yeah. The reason I joined this thing in the first place was to try protecting people. We're all fighting because none of us want to die, yeah?"
But besides that, with so many people coming now, perhaps she could take a break from patrolling. With a small smile to everyone present, she excused herself quietly.

Aleister looked around curiously, he didn't really have much to do so he figured he'd walk around the perimeter. Pookie on his shoulders he was humming slightly. The cookie he gained from Wash still in his hand looking at it, warily. It'd been from Julie... wasn't there dangers in this?
He couldn't remember. Frowning he eventually ate the cookie, he was hungry anyways... what's the worse that could happen? He looked around to see if he knew anyone outside on patrol.

Harrison's hand went to B0nez and Candace just stared. He seriously..?! He...what? Seriously, Harrison? This was how you were going to act right now? Even when she was nice afterward he seemed to dislike it. Candace released him with a small frown, feeling more hurt right now than when Jerry had been an a*****e to her. At least with Jerry she had ******** up in a way that warranted it; Candace had done nothing wrong this time.
Candace was quiet as Harrison began to rant, resisting the urge to immaturely mumble something along the lines of 'you are moodier than a girl on her period right now'. Saying that would only make things worse.
"And for you to not be dead."
"I won't die." She said confidently, smiling again. "I won't die, and you won't die, and Jordan won't die, and Rep and Jerry and Dakota and Eva and Julie and ******** it the entire island okay no one's going to die." Just everyone. Okay. Damnit.
See? Dakota and Eva had no intention of killing Harris--
...Prove..how loyal?
Candace stared at Dakota. "Is that what you were doing with Marcus? Proving loyalty?"
That's right.
Candace went there.
She had no regrets. She was grinning, man. She didn't give a ******** she heard a loud hissing sound nearby, turning on her heel. "s**t! I'll be right back, guys." Candace called out as she ran off, returning not long after with a fresh cut on her arm. Other than that she looked okay.

Harrison pulled B0nez out, and wiped the slime off the best he could before he was drawn into a hug.
Dakota, he told himself, it's just Dakota and don't stab him.
Even after killing the bug, he was still jumpy.
"Healing," he added irritably to Dakota's Moon s**t list. He looked at Dakota morosely. "It's not like you've ever given me a reason otherwise..." He winced at the Marcus question. "Lay off him. Look, it's just a stupid ******** thing to keep on thinking everything's going to be okay, and bugs and horses are all I've got to worry about. I'm a Moon Hunter. I gotta right to realize that it's not just the monsters that are gonna get me killed. Even if it's not outta meanness. Even if it's stupidity. Just, right now, it was outta meanness, and I'm doing the best I can to take it like a goddamn professional and not skewer somebody."
He kicked the bug over.
"Somebody I know, anyway."
Harrison's phone had been going off forever. He finally checked the message, which was from Clarice, telling him to remember to heal himself as well as others. It made him feeling...chastised. For whatever reason. He looked at the tents, and sighed.
"I'm going to head back," he said finally. "Thanks for...listening, I guess."
He put one blade in his sash, and kept his other one out for the walk back to the tent.

Aleister was wondering around, almost unsure of what to really do. He didn't really want to butt into the group with Candace, Dakota and Harrison but he also didn't really want to go it alone either. He paused when he noticed Harrison leaving.
Aleister froze when he noticed something odd on the ground... it was dark red.... and then it was gone. He squeaked maybe it would be a good idea to butt into the group already here. despite having eaten the cookie he was still a little skittish on his own. He scurried over to them. "HI Candace!" He said chipperly bouncing a bit when he came to a stop. "How's everyone?"

Um. Ouch. Candace stared at Harrison like he had five heads. What the hell was wrong with him? She didn't like him like this, he wasn't any fun. He needed to cheer the ******** up and fast. This Harrison wasn't good. This Harrison needed to go away.
He checked his phone and didn't seem to look much better after, frowning and reaching out to put a hand on his shoulder. "Harrison, do you wa--oh...uh..sure." She watched him walk away, rubbing the back of her neck and sighing.
Aleister showed up moments later, looking exceptionally cheerful. Like. Overly so. Candace blinked. "Um...hey." She raised a brow. "You're...happy." It was simply an observation, one she found odd considering their circumstances right now.

Aleister nodded, "Yup!" He grinned rocking back and forth for a second before seeming to have a thought, "Can I give you a hug? I have like... some need to give someone a hug.... and I don't know where it came from."
At least he asked permission? Normally he'd be scared out of his wits. "OHH and if you guys are hungry. Julie is having Wash hand out cookies. They're pretty good." He nodded.

Dakota shielded his eyes as heard the distant sound of fighting before looking back at the text from Clerise.
He whistled and smiled. Aw yeah Clerise.
