He gave her a confused look when she shook her head. Had Saya changed her mind? Oh, no. Not at all. She just didn’t want to accept the backpack for free. Wilson cocked his head. Funny, because most people would have gladly taken the backpack—especially with no price tag of any sorts on it. “Why not? It’s a gift.” Wilson held out the backpack, carefully letting it drop into Saya’s lap.
“You really don’t need to give me anything in return, but if you really insist…Hm. Yes, I think that could work.” Wilson grinned and shook his head. “It’s alright. Just the two of us is fine. I don’t want to make you pay too much.” There was a glint in his eyes as he crossed his arms. “Are you good at shooting with a gun?” Gramps knew where this was going. [Of course.]

"I'm not especially proficient but I've gone to the range a couple of times. It's really fun!" Saya admitted, although the hobby wasn't one she often shared with people.
In fact, Prompto was a bit surprised as well. He spoke, for the first time in awhile, since Saya had been drunk. (He stated that he hated people who weren't in the fittest forms. Especially with Saya, Prompto was not a baby sitter.)
If guns were so fun, why didn't you pick a gun?
Don't be like that-- Guns or arrows or even if you weren't either of those, we suit each other, right? No matter what you are.
"Are you a gun user Wilson?" Saya asked curiously, having yet to see him in battle. In battle, a lot was going on s Saya didn't have the time to look around. Unfortunately.

Her answer received an impressed look from Wilson. Not a lot of people went to a shooting range, so the reply was a welcome change. Wilson grinned at Saya. “Nice, and unfortunately no.” Gramps scoffed. [I am a much better weapon than a gun.] He tugged at the pair of green goggles hanging around his neck. “Gramps is a pair of gas cannons. He shoots out poisonous gas, which is a far cry from guns.” Wilson smiled. “But that’s alright. Before I came to the island one of my hobbies was guns. I went to the range a lot and I haven’t been to one in a while. Hopefully my skills haven’t deteriorated too much.”
Then he pointed to the backpack in Saya’s grasp. “If you take me out to a shooting range for a day for some practicing, the backpack is all yours.”

"Poisonous gas .. I imagine that being much more effective than guns." Saya pictured it, something alone the lines of the neon green gas in the movies. She might have also been imagining something similar to bazooka. Her eyes were shining with a passion.
"That's a deal then. Shall we shake on it?" Saya suggested cheerfully, holding her hand out. It was a tremendously good deal for both of them, considering both sides were getting a really enjoyable outing out of it. What better way to vent your frustration than shooting an inanimate object?
.. Probably an animate one.

“More effective in the sense that it’s more of an area of effect type of attack, I suppose. I think I would still prefer having a gun, but having Gramps is alright too.” Unfortunately, Wilson didn’t quite have a bazooka. That was Jerry’s forte.
Grinning, Wilson nodded his head and stretched out a hand. “It’s a deal.”
