As the conversation between Lucere and Star progressed Frost began to look amused. When the reality of his situation hit home with the newly minted grunt he actually started to smirk. Oh yes, now this was very satisfying; he had been getting tired of the man lording it over him and he had no doubt that many others felt and would feel the same.

Lorevern's subsequent request however wiped the smile away, and an expression of mild curiosity replaced it. True the man was far from a normal executive but to give up the privileges of that rank... this must be what a basically honest and relatively decent person looked like; he would have to take careful note for future reference.

Once Lucere had left Frost gave a nod to Faleen and Hayes. "Excuse me, there's somebody I probably ought to locate." With this said he set off to find Xander, coolly commenting; "Congratulations on your new rank Mister Star," as he passed by the apoplectic rocket.

Star snarled at Frost and released the death grip on his poor uniform. It'd gone from fresh and crisp to a wrinkled mess.

"Do not start with me, Frost. I may not be your superior yet but I will be."

"That's ambition we can all learn from." Lore leaned over to pluck a jell-o cup from his bedside table.

Frost paused and turned back around. He gave Star a look that could only be described as bored. "Do you try to solve all of your problems by screeching and throwing tantrums? If you intend to become my superior I suggest you find an alternate coping strategy as I don't think this kind of reaction in the face of adversity will impress anybody; your impotent squeals certainly don't move me."

Star shook his head, looking frustrated and upset, "You can't speak to me like this! I used to be the head of Robotics at Team Galactic!!" His eyes cast around the room, hoping someone would look impressed or at least agree with him. He was important! Someone here had to understand!

His shoulders were rising and falling quickly as he fueled his own upset. No one in this room cared about his past titles. He'd have even less respect in Team Rocket than he did in Deimos' Galactic. He'd sacrificed everything and in the end came out with less than he had before. He looked miserable and confused. I was depressingly pathetic.

"Star." Sky hopped off the headboard and landed on Star's shoulder while the ex-Galactic glared at his sheets.

Somehow, after all his cuts, bruises and burn was taken care of, Xander had managed to sweet talk a nurse to let him take a quick shower. Sweet talk by way of just plain smelling that is and it probably helped that he promised to stay in bed after wards. He did have to get dressed into another one of the medical scrubs and he didn't have time to shave the short stubble yet but it was better then nothing in his opinion.

He had been relaxing on the bed with an I.V. of his own in his arm when he heard the Boss and Star's conversation, not hard when they were all in the same room and the former Galactic's voice carried. He gave a small smirk at the ceiling, pleased that after everything the other blonde went though, Hayes would still have his job. He was tempted to get out of bed when he heard Frost but that hadn't been the deal with the nurse so he stayed in place for now.

Seen as Star seemed to have nothing else to say to him Frost moved on again, and eventually he spotted Xander. A small smile tugged at his lips and he moved to sit in the chair next to the bed. "You look well all things considered," he observed, "how do you feel?" A whole month without being able to wash; ugh! He did not envy the poor captives in the least.

When Frost came into sight Xander gave him a pleased smile and sat up more in bed. "I feel well all things considering. Must be because I'm home again." And he could finally relax. No more getting taken to interrogation, no more having to clam up other wise others got hurt because of his mouth. "Could do with more then porridge and juice in my stomach and a good nights sleep in an actual bed of course but that can come later." The blonde paused for a moment then held his hand out to the older man in a silent request to hold it. "How were you in the past how ever many days?" he asked with a spark of concern.

Right. Touchy feely... stuff. He'd rather got out of the habit since Xander had gone. He wasn't actually really sure he wanted to get back in to the habit but he took Xander's hand anyway because he knew he ought to, and concealed his discomfort flawlessly. "I imagine it must be good to be home," he nodded, "and I am sure more interesting food will be on the menu for you too." He wasn't sure he liked this. He ought to. He cared about Xander a great deal and he thought he was attractive; why was that not enough to turn him... normal?

"Anyway, how have I been? Mmmh, busy. Faleen and I spent much of the month first working on dismantling the Galactic Yanmega jet and then - when Mister Star arrived - we had to put it back together and make preparations for the rescue mission." He had missed Xander's presence in his life, the companionship and the routine. Having his routine thrown off had been very difficult to deal with. He wasn't supposed to think about things like that, was he? He didn't think he was, and yet he did think about them. "I missed you." He had. Was that enough? He wasn't really sure anymore.

Ah. So. This 'deal' explained Twinkle's presence.
Of course he wouldn't have been granted a position of power... Tambrey found herself wondering just how Star's brain actually worked...
Such a scheme...

She was impressed, though, as she heard Lore request a grunt uniform... It just seemed... right and for some reason she felt a little bit relieved somehow.
They'd, in the cell, all been of varying ranks and the higher one went, the less you really saw of them, as she understood it.
Lore wasn't someone that she imagined any of them wanted to see less of, especially now.

She kept her eyes, despite rather obviously listening to the conversation, in the direction of the blurry door that led to where those in the worst shape were.
The grunt didn't feel entirely comfortable with the idea of a 'party' yet, though it was good- a relief- to be 'home'.

Her shoulders fell a little, though she held her gaze on him when he commented that they didn't leave marks, noticing his eyes dropping afterwards.
Faleen paused, unsure of what to say, before she nodded again when he thanked her for watching Alphard.
"It wasn't a problem, he's a good pokemon."

The Psychic type was often very different from what Faleen normally dealt with, It had been awkward at times, but overall Faleen had not minded, end enjoyed having the pokemon around.
though he spent much of his time alone, since Faleen had been busy working.

At this time Frost appeared, Faleen glanced over her shoulder, before shifting her posture to acknowledge her fellow Agent properly, smiling weakly as he spoke to Hayes in a much more to the point way about work.

Ahhh, Frost... He was a good Agent.

Hayes shifted after acknowledging, and answering Frost and she looked back at the Elite... She blinked once, but tilted her head politely... he was looking at her like that again. and for some reason it was having her heart pound a little harder, her cheeks still pink.

Her smile faded a little, he glanced away and spoke about getting cleaned up.
"Alright." She acknowledged, with a gentle nod.
For a second she felt his fingers on the back of her hand, that action alone seemed to have winded the Agent while he passed.

"Ah- Yes, of coarse. Talk to you later."

She watched him leave the room.

Well that was... Interesting.
She had expected to See Hayes in here, but she honestly couldn't say she expected it to go anything like... that.
The entire time, her relief had been so overwhelming that she had found it hard not to just... to just what? talk to him more? no... be around him maybe, maybe just to talk to him again, they used to talk so much... She had missed that more then she realized.

Star's voice cut through Faleen's distractions, and she shifted her stance to allow herself to look over at the ex-galactic.
Her eyebrows arched when he brought up taking over the Tech lead, but she didn't know what to say to it... Surely... not.. that wasn't going to happen was- Uup. No, no it wasn't.

The Agent watched in silence as Lucere and Star had their exchange, and Lucere came out with his lie.
Star was hanged a Grunt Uniform.
She continued to watch with passive silence as Star seethed, and protested, but to be honest... Faleen didn't feel bad for him at all, if anything, she was glad the Boss did this. Having a man from a rival team come in and automatically get a ton of power... would have been... disastrous, and the Boss wasn't a stupid man in any stretch of the imagination, he knew knew this of course.
Besides, she was actually personally offended that Star had tried to take the lead position away from Hayes, the man who really deserved it!

She didn't listen into the conversation between the brothers, instead keeping her eyes on Star as Frost made his comment about the new Grunt's rank.
When Lucere spoke up about getting Lore a Grunt uniform as well though, Faleen did a double take, looking at the brunette in the bed with surprise.
Lore was going to be a grunt too?

Frost went off to find someone else in the room, Leaving Star screeching and raging.
She eyed the man for a couple of seconds before letting out a soft sigh, and took a couple of steps toward the lanky man.
"We all start at the bottom Star," she said, in a calm defusing manner "No one is going to question your skills with robotics-"
Least of all Faleen, Faleen knew this field, she respected this field, and it took her years to get where she was now.
She had seen the man's work, and it was worth its salt, but that wasn't the point.
"But this team isn't just about that. Its better this way, I'm sure you'll be able to work your way up, but for now it might be best to learn a bit more about this team."

This man had already proven to be dangerous, and as of right now, she didn't want him anywhere near the robotics lab, not with what he did to the last one.
Even so, she spoke politely, hardly put off by his attitude, or his views. How could she? She learned to expect this from people, and with a partner like Izaya vigilance, and patience were an asset.

Xander gave Frost a thankful smile, it not occurring to him that the man might be uncomfortable again for such a small contact. "Oh I'm sure it will be, especially now when we're all deficient in nutrients because of it." It might take a little while for all of them to gain back some of the weight they lost and he thought he heard some doctor mutter about vitamin supplements. But right now that didn't matter, what mattered they were home, something he couldn't quite get over the giddiness of.

"Did you learn a lot from it? I know you have mentioned that the tech was an interesting study." Maybe Deimos would come in handy for that but it was doubtful, at least this soon. "I missed you to." So, so very much. Xander gave Frost's hand a light squeeze and a content look.

Star didn't look up when Faleen started talking to him. He just tensed and stared more intensely at his bedsheets. When she finished speaking he lifted his chin to glare at her. He looked furious. Somehow it intensified the red in his eyes. "Get away from me." He grit his teeth and tossed his sheets aside as he threw his long legs over the edge of the bed. Ignoring the shooting pain in his calf, he climbed to his feet.

"Star!" Sky fluttered in alarm, still perched on his shoulder.

After gathering up his supplies and tossing his Grunt uniform in a heap on the floor he limped toward the door.

A nurse frowned and stepped in his way. "Mister Sager, you're in no state to-

"Leave me alone." Star snarled, forcefully shoving the woman aside as he hobbled past her.

The glare didn't seem to faze Faleen, though she stared back with watchful air.
Red eyes, the look behind them, much like the look she would get from her dark types.
Red eyes, like her partner.
They all had something in common, there was always a point where you knew you should never or could never trust them.

She folded her hands behind her back and stepped to the side to allow Star to leave.
Watching him go before she let out a sigh.
"He's certainly going to make it harder on himself." she replied.

Frost frowned very slightly. "Yes, I learned that I can probably never hope to understand the power source," he said with a shake of his head. "It's just... it's mind boggling, it really is, it's mad and brilliant like nothing I've ever seen... save for other things he's made. I do hope he'll cooperate with us, the advances we could make if he would work with us...." He probably shouldn't babble on too much about that. "We have gathered a few interesting design ideas though, and even if we can't replicate it that jet and it's engine will be put to excellent use.... Once we design a less ridiculous exterior."

At last, after what seemed like ages, Shadow found the bed where Rory lay resting. He didn't seem to be asleep at the moment, which was lucky, because Shadow would have hated to wake him. Then again, with all the yelling and screeching from the newest Rocket member, it was a wonder anyone would have been able to sleep in the infirmary.

"Heh...hey," he said, coming alongside Rory's bed. "What's that guy's problem? He's the one who came to us, right? I think he should be happy to have escaped with his life after his betrayal."

Glancing over to a chair beside the bed, he nodded to it and asked, "Mind if I sit? I wanted to talk." His gaze fell upon the single pokeball on the table nearby and he recalled when Rory's Ponyta, Pinkie, had tried to help him out. "Wanted to thank you for all that you did. Must've been crazy, especially being new to the Rockets."

The wandering Haunter eventually found himself in the recovery room where Bro and Boss waited patiently for their trainer to come out of surgery. At the sight of their downcast faces, the Haunter levitated toward them and gently tapped each on the shoulder. [Hey. Cheer up,] he said with a half-hearted smile. [He'll be fine; you'll see. He seemed like a trooper, by the looks of him. I'm sure it would take more than a few bullets and a broken bone to bring the guy down.]
