Vayne noticed briefly a quick rustle in a short distance away. "Attack your way." the very basic battle instructions Vayne gave. The Cyndaquil look somewhat startled by that, maybe he expected to be told what to do. Either way the Cyndaquil jumped down from vayne's shoulder and took off running towards where the rustle started. It took a moment but Vayne chased after and noticed a Pidgey got thrown back from his partner's tackle attack. Vayne nodded and crouched down, and watched the first battle of the fire mouse. The cyndaquil gave a small cry, it was obvious he was nervous but it didn't seem to hinder the small guy before he followed with another tackle. The pidgey, well aware of cyndaquil now dodged the attack with ease. Cyndaquil took the chance by skidding to a stop and giving a stare that made the eye of cyndaquil glow red. Leer. The pidgey seemed somewhat threathen by it but went through with a tackle attack. Before the pidgey managed to finished the attack, cyndaquil went for a tackle as well. Both pokemon hit with a head-on collision. Cyndaquil seemed a bit dazed but the pidgey seemed injured enough to be captured. Graham smiled. She was from Lilycove? Awesome. "Hah, that practically makes us neighbors." He said cheerfully. "Lilycove has that large shopping center, doesn't it? That's kinda like Blyse City here. I think they're on a bartering system though."
His Pokedex pinged twice, stating that some of his Pokemon had leveled up. He'd make sure to look at it later to see if there was anything worth noting, like new moves. He looked back at Alyss. "I'm going to go train for a bit and look for some more Pokemon. Wanna tag along?"

She nodded, smiling up at him. "Yeah I guess it does, and yes Lilycove does have the large shopping center in Hoenn! I think there is only one or two larger shopping centers spread out across the regions." She said, thinking to herself on that. She knew there was Celadon's shopping center and Goldenrod's, but she couldn't think of the others.
She broke out of her thoughts when Graham mentioned training his Pokemon, and nodded. "Yeah that would be nice. Besides, it would be good for me to catch a new partner." She said cheerfully She stood up, and started to move over to him when something came out of the bushes came a small Eevee, looking up at her curiously.
She looked on over at the small Pokemon, then squealed with happiness. "Aw you look so adorable~" She said, moving over to it so that she could give it a hug. Needless to say, it wasn't that happy and smacked her with her tail. She backed up, then remembered it was a wild Pokemon. "Oh right...Alu tackle!" She called out. Her Chikorita nodded, charging straight at the Eevee and slammed into it. She figured it was low enough from the tackle, and tossed a Pokeball at it. The ball shook once, twice, three times and then click. She smiled, moving over to the Poke ball and picked it up. "Yay~ I got myself a cutie to my team!"

Alyss agreed to the idea of going to go catch some wild Pokemon, so he led her out into the grass. It looked like she ran into a Pokemon of her own, but before he could see what she found, Graham was assaulted by a different Pokemon. A fiesty little Zigagoon. Gah. Those bastards were everywhere. And with those Headbutts too. What a pain. Fortunately, it didn't seem like it knew Headbutt just yet. He sent out T.T. to give the bird some experience, as he was currently the lowest leveled in his party. With a few exchanges of Tackles, he managed defeat the Zigzagoon, gaining experience for the battle. Graham grinned before he called back the Hoothoot to let it rest then went to check on Alyss. Once the Pokeball stopped moving, Vayne went over and picked it up. Cyndaquil smiled happily and walked over to his partner, waiting for some approval.Vayne petted his partner's head, "Too reckless." he criticized,Vayne knew that his partner was new at fighting but he needed to learn to take minimum damage. the cyndaquil shied from the comment but climbed to Vayne's shoulder. vayne threw the pokeball up in the air as the pidgey began to fly around then land in front of her new trainer. the pidgey examined vayne then the cyndaquil. Vayne could've sworn that she had sighed in disapproval. Vyane stoood up and looked around, "Your turn Pidgey." Alyss turned back when she heard Graham's voice. "I caught myself an Eevee. I heard these guys were rare. I didn't expect to find one myself." She said, looking at the Poke ball in her hand. "Say, what have you caught so far?" She asked.

"You caught an Eevee? Congrats!" Graham said with a grin, congratulating Alyss on her catch. He could probably do without an Eevee, even if they could evolve into a lot of things. "What have I caught?" he repeated. He then pulled out the Pokeballs holding Lucius and T.T. to let out the Shinx and the Hoothoot. Vayne continued to look around until he noticed a Bidoof, the useless little guy is probably the weakest pokemon you can find besides Magikarp. "Go for Bidoof." Vayne told pidge, nudging his head in the direction of the wild pokemon. Thepidgey seemed just as confused as Cyndaquil did, no orders of attack? even if a pokemon knew one attack trainers would still yell them out.Whatever the case, the pidgey charged at the bidoof. The bidoof seemed to sense the attack before or maybe he was watchin Vayne and his team for this, but it managed to jumped out of the way.The bidoof reacted quickly and retaliated by tackling the pidgey back, who slid back and once again tried to tackle only to be knocked back again. Vayne sighed, She was weak, and prefer head strong charges. she needed training, "Cyndaquil, Help her." Vayne told his partners as he nodded and quickly launched himself into the fight. Cyndaquil ended the fight quickly by lowering the bidoof's defense and quick tackles. Vayne was pleased to see he had a promising partner.The pidgey wounded seemed disappointed, Cyndaquil went over and patted his friends back. She smiled when he congratulated her on catching the Eevee. It was a great thing since it could evolve into many different forms. She wasn't sure what she would evolve her Eevee into, but decided that whatever it would be the form would be helpful. She watched Graham as he pulled two other Poke balls out and then let out a Hoothoot and Shinx. She knelt down and took a look at his Shinx. "Aw he's so adorable~ I hope I manage to catch one!" She said, before looking at his Hoothoot. "I wouldn't mind a flying type either."

Alyss seemed to like Lucius as the lion cub swished his tail looking up at the girl. T.T. looked completely uninterested in the entire ordeal, and was looking at the rustling grass. "There's probably more cool Pokemon further up onto Route 2." said Graham as he called back Lucius before he noticed that T.T. wasn't paying attention. Looking to see what had caught the bird's attention, he saw that there was something in the tall grass. "Think you can take it?" he asked the Hoothoot. The bird chirped, apparently raring to go at another battle even though it hadn't recovered that much against the Zigzagoon. "Alright, let's see what it is..." It was a Patrat. Graham took a look at his Pokedex before ordering the Hoothoot to attack the rat. After several Tackle exchanges, T.T. barely managed to take out the Patrat. Graham mentioning that there was some better Pokemon on route 2 made sense to Alyss, so she stood up and patted herself down. She looked on over to him and noticed a Zigzagoon had appeared. "Dang those things are everywhere." She commented, before hearing some more rustling. Out from the bushes popped out a wild Shinx, and she smiled. "Hey, looks like I get one of my own!" She said towards Graham.
The Shinx wasted no time as it moved forward, looking as intimidating as it could. Alu looked on over to it, and did not approve of the stare, sending off some leaves towards it. Alyss wondered when she learned a new move, but then shrugged it off. The Shinx took the hit, and so she decided to toss a Poke ball at it. The ball collided with the Shinx's tail and inside it went. The ball shook once, twice, three times before click. It was captured. "I was right! Now we have Shinx buddies!"

Graham chuckled. "Yeah. Shinx buddies. Woo~" he said before a new rustling caught his attention. He pushed through the grass and found a Ralts. But just as he was preparing a Pokeball to catch it, the Psychic-type fled. "... Damn. She looked over when some more rustling and watched as Graham wasn't able to get a Ralts. "Shoot that sucks." She said, moving over and patting his shoulder. "Better luck next time. But should we head to the next route?" She asked.

Graham sighed. Well, that was depressing. He looked over at Alyss who suggested moving on to the next route. "Yeah... might as well. I'll come back later and see if I can find another one." He said.
There was rustling in the grass again, but whatever it was had been scared off when he sent out Lucius, who had activated Intimidate. Perhaps it was something that got scared easily.
"Yeah, let's go." he repeated, ignoring the double-ping from the Pokedex as his Pokemon leveled up.

She followed him off towards Route 2, taking a look around. "So what do you know about the gym leader?" She asked, since she hadn't taken note of him. "I was only at the lab before I started off to this route, so I don't know much."
