Kiara’s quickly turned to Kyran, to give him a death glare. “Well wouldn’t it be better to lure out anything that might lie in wait? We could surely make quick work of it, now. Best to draw it out when we are ready, then to wait, wait and give It a chance to have an advantage. Or am I mistaken? Are you never weary? Your senses never dull? Anything adapted to such a dark environment would surely be able to sense us, in one way or another. Better to give it reason to come out now.” As if to punctuate her comment, she made a deep gash in the rock face with her claws.

Kyran almost cringed at Kiara's outburst at his comment, the animosity almost poisonous in the air. The darkrai tried not to let its overwhelming confusion show, for drawing out anything that may be lurking in the depths of the labyrinthine cave was what Kyran was aiming for with the suggested special move, only in a more cautious manner. If anything was out there, the two darkrai would hear them fall from the effects of the attack better than they would hear them sneak up to investigate the raucous noise. However, Kyran was not going to undermine its sibling, not for fear of repercussions but out of respect. There was a toiling, lingering obsession with the notion that Kiara was always, always right; the best that the darker of the two could do was perhaps aid the midnight purple one in her endeavors, if Kyran did not find itself in the way first.
Arguing was not something that was an option, at this point in time. Apologizing made way for further anger, as apparently silence did at this point in time. Kiara was dangerously volatile at the moment, and any wrong move was sure to send her over the deep end, but what was Kyran suppose to say? "You're not mistaken, I've just misunderstood," the darkrai tried to offer, blue eyes turned back to the darkness in search of whatever Kiara's attacks on the foundation may bring out, a way to shrink back from her verbal attacks without physically doing so. It was hard to be both a strong sibling and completely devoted at the same time without seeming like a coward, and the darkrai knew there was failure in the way things currently operated. There was dismayed query into whether Kyran would ever be adequate enough for its sibling.

“Yes, it was you who was mistaken,” she replied with a venom drenched tone. Her twin might have had a point, but she would never admit it; she would never admit, openly, that she might be wrong. Heck, she wouldn’t even admit it to herself. She needed to be right, in all things. Her superiority was all she had. She wouldn’t part with it easily. Not feeling the desire to continue on the present topic, she continued onward, till she came to a branch in the path. Looking down the new path, she stated. “Assuming this has an end, this might be acceptable. Lets go take a look.” Not waiting for a reply, she continued onward.

The reason the twins' relationship worked despite many glaring faults most likely stemmed from the fact that they both aimed for the same goals, both on the outside world as well as the social interaction between the two. Congeniality may have been one-sided, but this tended to be beneficial in a way, by diminishing any power struggle that may have been present without. What Kiara said was law, and although deep down Kyran may have a sense of confusion, he never took it as a lingering doubt on the purity of the shiny darkrai's verity. There was no point in skepticism except to build a wall between them, and Kyran was determined to never let it come to that. Kiara was all he had, why would the darkrai intentionally ruin that?
Kyran was tempted to smile as her hostility towards her sibling seemed to curb, but hesitated with the notion that the expression may be taken the wrong way. Like walking on eggshells through a mine field. The blackened pokémon followed close behind as Kiara made her way further into the depths of their potential abode, tensed and at the ready for any command she were to give to her twin. Kyran just wanted to be useful, and if the shadowed pokémon were capable of fulfilling that every so often, then... "Lead the way and tell me what I should do, I'm ready," Kyran stated eagerly. He wasn't sure if Kiara's current temperament would be annoyed or... well, as close as she could get to "happy" about this sort of thing, at the thought of being the master puppeteer. Maybe it was always a conflicting mix of both.

“Yes, lead away Kiara; where would you be without me to pull you along,” Kiara retorted venomously. She might have been a Dark type, but her words were dripping with poison. Making her way to the end of the alcove, she had to admit that it seemed suitable for their purposes. “This place, it looks like it may work. Dare I ask what you think? Or do you need me to tell you that as well?” Turning to her twin, she awaited an answer. Her face gave no clue as to her current emotional state, that was left solely to the contempt in her voice, which could be found at both the best and the worst of times.

Kyran's attention shifted away, slightly and only momentarily. I'd be lost, Kiara... the black darkrai responded silently before poising claws at the ready once more, ready for anything to pop out of the... empty pathway. They lowered once more, for while defenses were still not completely lowered, it was apparent that there was no need to expect any imminent danger. Perking at the shiny's query, Kyran hesitated, "It's empty, and it doesn't appear that there has been any lingering occupation, at least in a good while." Taking a second glance around the walls, the blue-eyed darkrai added, "It has potential." Was he being foolish for considering she may have wanted so much in the way of a response?

“And don’t you forget it,” Kiara retorted, a cruel smirk on her face. Eying her twin, she stated, “Potential? What are you daft? Don’t even bother answering that; it’s a given. This place is perfect, why must you be so negative?” Looking about the tunnel, she once again confirmed her previous statement, “Yes, perfect. It will serve our purposes well.” Almost as if she had ignored his comment she added, “Empty….No signs of any recent occupation…” Sniffing the air, “Sadly, not even any lingering signs of dread; of fear. We will have to change this. These caverns will know terror.” She couldn’t help but punctuate the statement with an eerie sounding giggle.
