Roxy didn't protest when Nysa pulled away from her, picking up the hint that they had arrived. She held back a girlish snort when he confirmed her question, the pride evident in his tone of course. It was cute, she had to admit, not many boys liked flowers.
- though, for a moment she had to wonder if he was really gay, and just humoring her in this not-really-a-date. It would explain a whole lot.
Pushing the thought out of her mind, feeling it didn't really matter, she wordlessly took the bag with one hand; still balancing her drink and rose in the other. "That's how the teacher pretty much put it," she confirmed, wondering it she should hold onto their food a little more protectively since she had no idea what he was going to do. "The color theory with flowers was interesting though."

Once the girl had all the bags gathered in her arms, the lad scooped her up much like how they had met in the first place. "If you can hold the bags to your chest, it would probably work best..."
He had much practice from his years in fencing in keeping his movements smooth, but it was different from a level work space to jumping into the air a few stories. With a subtle sigh, he then proceeded to make his way up to the destination. He leaped up to a side fence, landing slightly on the ball of his foot before hopping up to the top of a building. However, rather than stop at the two hops like he had with his first encounter with Roxanne, he bound up towards another building, then up to two more buildings until they were approximately 4 stories up.
It might not have been a fancy set up, but it seemed as if the lad had planned ahead. He had been able to borrow a couple of elegant looking chairs made of a lightweight metal. Something that was easy enough to transport up the side of a building that his parents would not miss from the condo. A table, unfortunately, was not something he could bring up the side of the building too easily, but a simplistic picnic set up with a folded up blanket and an elegantly woven picnic basket were resting at the foot of one of the two chairs.
"It might not be much, Miss Roxanne...but hopefully we will be able to enjoy our meals well enough." With a smile, he dipped down to allow the girl to touch the building-roof below her. With a chuckle, he added "Hopefully you are not too jostled!"

Her arms went around the food as she had been told, tight against her chest to keep it safe. Roxy almost wished she had had the thought to allow one to wrap around his neck for more stability but he was off and bounding upon the buildings before she could reposition herself. But his grip was firm, surprising her as they whipped through the air.
The blonde couldn't help but let out a small sound, a mix of excitement, surprise and a little fear from the page's actions and leaps. True, this now wasn't her first time, but not being in the element of immediate danger from being attacked by a monster there was a whole different mindset, and Roxy honestly found it a little thrilling; it at least beat being hurtled in space and all that whole adventure.
"Well, that was something," she smiled to him once they were at their final destination. She swayed a little when her feet touched the ground, but the feeling soon passed and her heavy grip on their food loosened soon enough.
What caught Roxy next was the sight of it all. They weren't that high up nor in the most luxurious of places but the view was still something, enough to see a vast majority of the city and the dipping sun as it made its way towards the sun. It was beautiful, and added a splendor that was her company for the evening and the efforts he had made for their little date. "How adorable," she stated, turning towards the page with a big smile. "Was this always here or did you manage to get this all set up for this?"
The girl didn't stay by his side for the answer but kept her attention upon him anyways as she made her way to one of the white chairs and placed the bag of food upon it so they could get started and eating.

As the girl swayed in place, he kept his hand behind her shoulder's to help assist her in regaining her sense of balance. Only once she seemed steady upon her feet once more did he bring his arm back to his own side.
The girl moved to set the food down, and the page seemed to glide up behind one of the two chairs. He set his gloved fingers to curl around the elegantly curled metal backing.
"This rooftop overlooks one of the city gardens. It is a rather lovely view, but alas, this building was not set up for rooftop dining, Miss Roxanne." Most likely the girl would be able to pick out the answer she was looking for from his response.
The girl had set up their food on top of the cliche checkered blanket already sprawled across the ground, but she had left the picnic basket untouched. Which meant that Nysa was easily able to swing around the chair he had seemingly claimed for himself and picked up the basket. He lifted it to a reasonable height and set it down to rest on the base of his seat for now. He seemed to flick open the basket top and pulled out a few other objects. One was a thermas, which held his own choice of beverage chilled to perfection. Others were bundles of silverware, which were better than the flimsy plastic utensils given by food establishments for "to go" orders.
"I have extra napkins as well... and a small treat for dessert if you would like it later." He reached towards her, offering her the bundle of real utensils.

As Nysa opened the basket for more surprises, Roxanne began pulling out plastic containers and paper wraps that held their food. "Well, you make very good work of it, Nysa," she complimented him with a wide smile. "I think others should take a hint from your wonderful arrangement and follow suit. We could bring back rooftop dining back in style." If it ever was, though the classic movies liked to tell her otherwise.
"And you even make fast food look classy," there was laughter in her tone as managed to figure out who had what. "I don't suppose we have plates to go along with the wonderful utensils, now do we?" And maybe a small cup for her flower. The poor thing had been jostled about with their venture upwards.
It would also just add to the atmosphere. A flower as they dined as they ate underneath the beautiful sky. Oh, how this Page-boy was spoiling her for future dates with this high romanticism.

"Alas, Miss Roxanne, I must disappoint you. I decided that lugging legitimate dishes up here would be a bit more of a hassle, so we shall have to dine in Styrofoam containers with our silverware."
He did, however, without being prompted, pull out a small lightweight vase from the basket. He had a certain soft spot for flowers, so his attention to them was not very surprising. He set the vase upon the checkered cloth before seating himself upon one of the chairs.
"I think a restaurant that specializes in rooftop dining would possibly be an excellent business venture if the owner could ensure that no buildings were built in the way of the lovely views. Stars are lovely, but in a city like this, they are hard to see in the sky at night."
He glanced towards the park, smiling delicately at the view. "I would not be surprised if this view is obstructed within the next year. Unless the owner of this building has purchased air-rights to the space in between the park and here."

Well, beggers couldn't be choosers. Though, this was Roxanne Selte and if she was able to have her way she would find a way to do it. But over plates? Perhaps not that big of an issue, it was at least not the ground and she could forgo such needs for having a wonderful view as he had mentioned.
Though, the stars weren't something she was looking up at these days. As much anyways, it had taken her a while to get over the fact she had traveled across them in such a horrible ordeal, so this was one of the few nights in a long time that she would tilt her head up to gaze upon them.
"Viewing the city isn't so bad though," she had to add as she handed Nysa the food he had ordered to finally clear up her chair, "from this height you can see much of the cityscape and it in itself can make its own set of stars, depending on which windows are still displaying light." The park was beautiful to look at from up here, she had to agree.
The blonde sat in her seat, still gazing at the park that the page had mentioned to her with a soft hum on her lips. "I'm sure if they take this away from us, we can easily just find a new spot." She added, her attention back upon her food which she opened with a soft pop.

As the young lady handed him the container of food, he made certain to mind his manners with a polite "Thank you" and a nod in her direction. He was able to open up his package without even making a sound, making it so the first sound that could be heard from his food was the lettuce getting stabbed and crunched by his salad fork. He took one bite of his salad, in what almost seemed like an overly polite gesture the way he executed it.
He did pause, mid-bite, to process some of the information she offered.
"...we can easily just find a new spot..."
He swallowed down the bit of food he had in his mouth, then turned towards Roxanne. He smiled to her, but he was wondering how he should approach what needed to be addressed. He had never had any serious intention of starting up a relationship with this young lady. If he had, he might have come as himself, not as some super hero.
It might have been a long shot to go about it at this sort of angle, but he then asked "Miss Roxanne... might I ask if you are prone to finding yourself in danger?"

In a rather unladylike fashion, Roxy had begun to pick at her sandwich and eat some of the straggling meat in pieces - the thing was not the most portable of sandwiches. So when Nysa asked his question, she had her fingers in her mouth like she was eating her food like some sort of savage.
And it was the kind of question to catch her a little off guard. The blonde blinked for a moment, dropping her hand quickly to her lap where a napkin awaited and gave the Page a confused look. "I .. suppose?" Was her first response.
"Though, I think we all do since we live in this city given what's been happening the last few years." No one seemed safe, but they could be thankful the death toll wasn't in unfathomed places. "My luck with danger just seems to have gotten better since I was whisked away to space though," she snorted, "did you hear about that, by the way? In your super powered circles?"

He couldn't help but laugh at the comment, since there was quite a bit of truth. "I must confess, my life got quite a bit more interesting after moving to Destiny City. It has been a while now, but things weren't as odd at my previous home."
He used his fork to stab at one of the slices of apple and took a small bite out of the end. The Page would have taken another bite if he did not get caught up in the strange question.
"...you have been taken to space?" He set the apple down in the Styrofoam container, seeming to take on a slightly more serious, yet intrigued stance. He had not been awakened as a Page of Neptune when the various individuals in the city vanished mysteriously. He had limited understandings on space travel.
"Might I ask how you made it to space?"

With a good portion of her sandwich still intact, Roxy settled it down on her lap and gave the page a rather calculated look. Moved here, huh? The blonde had ever intention to poke him further about that little aspect, but decided to address the topic about herself first.
"So, you didn't hear about that?" She first asked, a little surprised. Roxy would have thought there would be communication between them, unless they were just as disorderly as they were in that Surrounding place. "I honestly have no idea how I got there, but all of a sudden I was in my room and then the next second I was in space on a rainbow looking road being attacked by like a whale or something."
With a wrinkle of her nose, the girl picked up her sandwich and took a large bite out of it and chewed, irritated. Her mouth was still had lingering bits of food after she swallowed, but she pressed on, "I don't even think those people knew how we got there, and they were rude and treated more like hostages than like guests when it wasn't our fault we were there. And then I think I died or something, it felt like it... and then we all came back. It was horrible." She hefted a sigh and closed her eyes, as in a vain attempt to dispel the memory from her thoughts.
Opening her yellow eyes again, she turned them to Nysa as her fingers idly picked at the bread of her sandwich. "So, moved here? Because of this wonderful job you have now, rescuing damsels or for other reasons?"

The lad easily kept his eyes upon the speaker as she proceeded to explain in some detail the strange journey she had gone on. It obviously had not been a pleasant experience, considering her choice of words and how her actions seemed to grow significantly rougher as she spoke.
Some details obviously had been quite strange, like an odd journey into Wonderland, but instead of a white rabbit, there was apparently a whale. And there was also the oddest notion of all...
"...you have died?" It was an odd thing for a girl to say when she quite plainly was there beside him, as real as could be. He could have pried much further, slipping into the classical questions surrounding "what is death like?" However, he was mindful and simply left his question as it was, and easily slipping into the question she had asked him.
"I would like to think that the manner in which I speak is a give away that I am not from here." Truth be told, that was a clear redirect, since he truly wasn't native to England. "However, I came to this city due to schooling issues." It was vague enough to not specify that they were negative circumstances.
With a winning smile, he added "Rescuing damsels, such as yourself, is merely a perk."

Roxanne would have been glad to know he had stopped himself from asking about death and pressing the matter. As much as she stepped right into having to explain the whole ordeal, she wasn't in the mood to talk about it any further. And, she honestly didn't think feeling as if you were dissolving really fit into any norm of dying.
So, she listened as Nysa answered her question, taking a sip from her drink as she sat where she was. "Aa, well true," she herself responded about his accent. It was distinctive but it was nothing she had considered before. "I'm glad your move was for something a little more worthwhile, at least," she explained even if she didn't know the specifics.
Were these people like the super heroes from movies, with double lives? Knowing he went to school was beginning to make her think they were, and finding out more would be very delightful. But, if she knew anything about that, they were usually very tightlipped. Hm. "I'm hoping this has been the best rescue at least... you did get a meal out of it," she smiled.

The lad took a rather dainty stab at an apple slice and soon enough was practically nibbling on the piece of fruit. Of course, when prompted into speaking, he had to wait until he had banished the food from his mouth so he wouldn't rudely be showing her some chewed up bits of apple.
"It has been a pleasant experience, Miss Roxanne." He paused before setting down his food, then approaching the girl just enough so he could attempt to take one of her hands within his own.
"If I could promise it and know for certain that I could keep such a promise, I would vow to protect you from the youma. I will honestly do my best to protect you, but I cannot promise such a thing. However, I do not think we will be able to do something so informal after tonight. You are quite an upstanding young lady, but as you can imagine, my responsibilities would not allow for something so frivolous."
If he had managed to ensnare the girl's hand within his own, he soon enough was offering said hand a small squeeze. His words might have been formal, but the meaning seemed to truly come from the squeeze.
I am not interested in dating you, Miss Roxanne.

.... frivolous? Roxanne had half a mind to yank the hand he had taken into his own and slap him across the face with it. She knew fully well what he was explaining to her - she had seen Spider-man enough times to get the whole 'I will protect you, but we can never be together because my enemies would use you against me' stick. (But at the same time, as those heroes also didn't seem to get, she had to wonder why they never gave their love interests the benefit of the doubt that they could handle themselves).
The blonde liked the idea of him trying to give his word to protect her, and didn't mind the fact that nothing could probably ever come out of this little impromptu date - as she hadn't made up her mind about him just yet. But.. frivolous? Even if it was being used to their doomed romance, no one ever used that word to describe any aspect about her, at least to her face, especially with a well stated compliment.
Yellow eyes narrowed even as she tried to keep her cool and her other hand let go of her half eaten sandwich to place it upon his, the one that was squeezing hers in assurance and attempting to send her another message. "Oh, dear Nysa," she replied sweetly, "I understand completely."
"It would have been lovely really, but your duty comes first," her eyes softened, "but if you ever change your mind, I'm sure I wouldn't be too hard to find."
