The road on Route 3 was much larger than the tiny trail the trio emerged from. Akane winced as she stepped cautiously out into the open, and glanced around to try and see her parents, or maybe an Officer Jenny, so she could brace for the trouble she felt for sure she was going to get into. There was no one in sight, which both made her feel relieved and rather silly. They had been walking for quite a long time; afternoon’s shadows stretched their long fingers toward Mount Moon. Cathy checked her wristwatch, a sturdy looking device made of polished brass and tan coloured leather. “We’re making decent time, I’m impressed how well Twinkers and you kept up. You could make a decent hiker yet.” Despite the slight mocking tome in Cathy’s voice Akane felt a little proud of the praise.
Route 3 had changed a little after the earthquake or explosion or whatever happened there a while back. That event is what brought Akane’s scientist parents out here; researching the impact it had on the wild Pokemon, though their base camp was on the other side of Mount Moon, not too far from Cerulean City. Silly to think they would be this far out, they probably haven’t even noticed that she was gone yet; she had only been gone … how long now? Eight days? Well, they may have noticed by now. “Ah, still at work on the road to the Mount Moon Pokemon Center. I wonder if they have finished the repairs over there too” Cathy mused out loud, glancing first at the road construction ahead of them and then further to the right. With the landslides and damage to the cliff that was the northern border of Route 3, the road had to be remade. The engineers involved had decided to cut a road directly to the Pokemon Center, taking advantage of a fissure that opened up across the shoulder that jutted from the northern cliff not far from where the trio emerged. It looked like they were going to use the rock they cut out to build up a slope the road could use in getting down the steppes – the original road had to snake up the hill to the Pokemon center, now the road would be a little steeper but more direct.
Akane remembered walking by this way on the first day of her journey. The construction had barely started back then, only the engineers and surveyors were walking around making marks on the rock, referencing maps and using theodolites. Now there were bulldozers, front-end loaders, road rollers and a modified shipping container that was being used as an office, though the vehicles were parked and the office dark. Akane guessed that they were done for the day, given the lack of anyone in sight. What construction they had done so far made the walk back to Pewter City a little more difficult than normal as the three friends had to pick their way around debris and barricades. “I suppose there isn’t any chance we can get a ride with all this construction going on.” Cathy took another look at her watch. “Make sure you keep hydrated, lets have a drink and a sit.” Akane sat down on a large rock and put her backpack beside her. Her juice was almost gone but she shared what she had left with Twinkers. Cathy sat on an adjacent rock and likewise divested herself of her large bag. She got out her drink bottle too but also retrieved her two Pokeballs from one of her shorts pockets. She drained the remaining juice from her bottle after releasing her Smeargle and Mr. Mime. “Be a drear and fill this up please?” she held the bottle out towards Remmy. Remmy did not take the bottle but went to work making the same water pistol that it had when watching the western, took aim with it, and carefully fired an obviously slow stream of water right into the bottle’s open mouth. “Smear!” Remmy tipped a non-existent hat in a way that reminded Akane of the western they saw recently. “Smear?” The Smeargle pointed his water pistol at Akane’s bottle it’s intent obvious. “If you don’t mind …” Akane replied, holding her bottle out just like Cathy had. “Smear smeargle smear-smear!” Remmy’s reply seemed to say “not problem at all, little lady”, again like the western. “Thank you Remmy, you’re the best.” Akane looked at Twinkers and continued “Well, one of the best” and gave a pat to the Clefairy’s head. Cathy then divided the remaining sandwich for herself and Akane, and tossed an Oran Berry to each of her Pokemon. Akane felt Twinkers should have something too, and offered one of the granola bars to the pink fairy Pokemon, who gladly accepted and devoured it. Refueled and recharged, the party of five continued down towards the lights of Pewter City.

To say that Slowpokes Water Pulse hurt the Bonsly would be an understatement. A more correct statement would be the Water Pulse sent the Bonsly flying up into the air, crashing through a few trees then into the wall. Robin felt a little embarrassed, and a lot confused as she was still under the impression that Bonsly was a grass type. Still the match was over when the two girls took of to locate where the rock type had been launched to. Robin stood there confused but decided to go with it. The redhead patted Slowpoke on the head and thanked the water type before putting him back in his pokeball. "Alright... Time to find that gym leader now." She grinned as she put her hands on her hips and looked down to Luffy. "Wanna go climb some more trees?" She laughed.
The agile Ambipom liked that idea as well and with a laugh of his own was up one of the indoor trees in an instant. Unfortunately he didn't really know what he was looking for, not that Robin really did either. The only way that things could get more confusing would be if she decided to climb up the trees to. Which is of course exactly what Robin did.
"I haven't climbed in forever!" Since Robin lived in Goldenrod she just climbed fences or garbage cans. She wasn't to skilled at climbing trees and it showed with how her tights were getting torn up and such. Still she didn't seem to care all that much and was having a blast jumping between branches, falling and catching and swinging her self around. She had almost forgotten who she was here her and Luffy were having so much fun, when she actually did happen to stumble upon the gym leader arena. Stumble was putting it in graceful terms as well. Robin fell out of the tree and almost did a face plant into a bush. "Huh." She muttered pulling herself out of the bush, ignoring the little scratches on herself. "I guess I found it?" She wasn't all that sure. Wasn't there supposed to be a gym leader here. "Ummm, hello?" She called out confused. At her side Luffy's condition wasn't much better, both of them had sticks, leaves and tears in their clothing. Good thing they both had such a fun time.

Dante waited in the back room Doing his best to appear uninterested in what was going on. Truth be told he was slightly, just a little, not really, nervous. He had never done anything like this and it really was totally out of his comfort zone. Still if nothing else Dante was a good actor and he did put up with this things pretty well. He wished he had someone else to commiserate with him, last time he had dragged Keegan into his mess. Dante frowned as he thought about his well, he supposed Keegan was actually his friend, oddly enough. He didn't have to many of those. He should probably give him a call sometime. There had been some rumors of some weird stuff going on. Maybe he would know about it?
It took a few seconds to realize that they had called his number. Taking himself away from where he was leaning against the wall he dusted nonexistant dust off of himself and headed out into the arena. The first part was all out of his hands, he just hoped Angelic was as good as everyone said she was. Dante was sure that Kenny would do just fine.
The arena was loud and the bright lights were blazing as they shined down on him. Doing his best to appear that he didn't really care about this whole thing he cast a few glances around at the, well it was an actual arena they had some how built down here. He stopped in the designated area an waited as the announcer spoke for a bit. 'Well, here goes nothing.' Dante thought when it was his, or rather Kenny's time to shine, he gave the audience a small smirk before reaching into the great coats pocket and casually tossed out Kenny's pokeball into the middle of the room. It wasn't really until that moment that he noticed the stickers that Angelic must have stuck on the ball, probably when he was sleeping.

Gigas was of course freaking out thinking his trainer was dead. He ran around in a panic yelling out"CHAAAAAAR!", at the top of its lungs. As soon as the young girl started to help out Kressen it would seem to calm down. It did as she bid and started to lift Kressen's head, but to no avail.
The red haired giant was just to big for the two small pokemon and a little girl to move. Fortunately, all of Gigas's roaring had alerted Nurse Joy to the commotion and another young man was on his way to help. The nurse on call sighed in annoyance when she saw who it was.
"Did Kressen knock himself out again?" Kressen had a habit of getting injured so many of the hospital and Pokemon Center staff new him on sight. "Chansey put him over there please." Nurse Joy pointed over an examination room and the Chansey always eager to help saluted and helped the curly haired kid put him on hospital trolly.
"Thank you for bringing him here. We'll have him fixed up in a jiffy." She gave Alex a smile as she pulled on examination gloves and walked to the room Kressen was being wheeled to. She looked back over her shoulder at Alex. "This won't take long honey. He's to stubborn to be down for too long. You can wait outside if you want." With that the nurse would disappear into the room with the red haired giant, leaving Gigas alone with Alexis and Roll.
"Charmander." The little fire lizard sat down on the floor and looked pitiful. Tears would start to form on it's adorably huge green eyes. It sniffed and stared at the examination room door ignoring the hustle and bustle of the Pokemon center.

A small, almost smug smirk was present on Jasper's face as Jett and Scarlet rejoined him at the entrance to the shop, mostly due to the fact that neither of them had picked up on the real reason for the middle-aged man's grumpiness. He couldn't explain it, but he always seemed to experience a bit of a thrill whenever picked a man's pocket, or broke the law in general. It was awful of him, he knew, but he just couldn't help himself at times. "Ah, yeah, that sounds like a good plan," he nodded, though he couldn't help but feel a little silly for not realizing that new moves would often need a bit of work before they could be readily used. They were now heading back toward the red-roofed Pokemon Center, and Jasper wondered idly what moves the two future gym challengers had picked out for their Pokemon. In the back of his mind, he was still a tad jealous over that, but it wasn't anything he couldn't get over pretty easily.
As they neared the Pokemon Center, Jasper retied his bandanna around his head, stopping to adjust it via his reflection in the window. He glanced over at Jett and Scarlet, still thinking of the purloined wallet in his pocket, and he sighed. "You guys go ahead," he said, motioning for them to go on. "You've got a gym battle to train for and I don't wanna hold you back. I'm gonna go check out the well, see if I can't find some Slowpokes for Paras to train with. Catch you guys later," he added, giving them a bit of a salute (and with the wrong hand, but who really cared about that?). He felt it was enough for them to know where he'd be and they could find him if they needed him. He started walking back the way they'd come into Azalea Town, grinning to himself. 'I'm a Lone Wolf once again,' he thought, but frowned. 'Come to think of it, that phrase makes no sense. Everyone knows wolves travel and hunt in packs.'
Other dumb phrases and plays on words filtered through his mind as he walked, wondering when and what had initially caused people to think in that manner. He was currently pondering 'thick as thieves' as he passed by a bright red mailbox, though he quickly backtracked and slipped the wallet belonging to grumpy Mr Albert Franke the not-so-great stockbroker through the slot, grinning with satisfaction as it thudded against the bottom: shame, he'd just missed the evening pickup. * * * * * * * * * * "Wow, Hayley, your drawings are really good," Lucy said as she flipped through the pages of the brunette's sketchbook as she, Connor, and of course, Hayley, wandered back into Viridian's City limits. Lucy was currently admiring the sketch Hayley had done earlier that afternoon of the Pidgeotto, taking in all the detail the young Pokemon Watcher had carefully penciled in.
"Thank you," Hayley beamed, definitely not bursting with modesty. She'd practiced her drawing skills quite intensively over the years and it made her happy to hear that people genuinely liked them. "I'd really love to sit down and finish sketching your Bulbasaur. Oh, and your Squirtle, too, Connor! It's a terrible thing to leave a drawing unfinished."
"I don't see why not," Connor shrugged. He too, was impressed by Hayley's sketches, but of course, it wasn't like him to say anything. "It's getting late anyway, and it'd be really stupid for anyone to go back into the forest right now."
"Let's go back to the Pokemon Center," Lucy suggested. "Our Pokemon did get hurt a little bit."
"We could get something to eat, too," Hayley added. "All I had this afternoon were cookies." There were murmurs of agreement from the other two, and the unlikely trio continued onward in a somewhat awkward silence, save for the occasional scratches of Hayley's pencil as she touched up some of what she'd drawn of Connor's Squirtle.

Flannery herself was no stranger to burns, as she did run a gym devoted to Fire-type Pokemon, after all, and she'd lived and played and trained with them all her life. Despite this, her own hands seemed to throb with a phantom pain when she saw the burns Kasiya had received on hers from the doors and she flinched. They didn't look too bad, but there'd probably be some scarring. Flannery studied her own palms, which were riddled with splotchy scars from her own mishaps with fire and Pokemon in general, looking up as Sasha cleverly used her handkerchief and some cold water from an adorable Azurill to tend to the burns while Keegan simply decided he'd had enough of waiting around, and had released his Golem. Flannery flinched for a second time upon seeing the Megaton Pokemon. She knew that Golem. She saw that Golem evolve. She battled that Golem. She lost against that Golem. And, she certainly didn't like that Golem. But, nevertheless, Tierra certainly showed the door who was in charge when she smacked it down like a boss, and even Flannery wore an impressed smirk as she and the rest of the party-crashers passed through what they all were hoping was the final threshold.
What was waiting for them, in fact, was just the opposite. Flannery's smirk vanished upon seeing another set of doors blocking their path, but not only that, they were welcomed by a group of familiar Pokemon. Flannery's eyes narrowed as she studied them - Titanium, Xanthos, Proton, and Portabello. And as she watched them, she finally noticed a fifth figure hovering in the background, staring at them all with wide, glowing eyes. It's mouth was curved upward in a wicked, half-moon grin, and Flannery felt her body shudder with an involuntary chill. It was as though the shadow could see right through her, right into her soul. She could only meekly shake her head in response to Winona's inquiry, though like Kilik, she quickly noticed the absence of Mike's Fire-types - Nitro, Felsic and Napalm. "I.. I don't understand." What does he have planned? she thought, fearing the worst of Mike going off alone to confront Maxie, but just like that, the shadow began to speak, and any fear Flannery had felt before suddenly felt like that little startle you get when you stare at the toaster, waiting for your toast to pop up and it scares you, even though you were fully expecting it.
The fact that the thing was now talking to them was more than enough to scare Flannery, but when its dagger-like fingers weaved together and shifted and changed until they resembled her and Mike, Flannery began to lose it. Her body was trembling all over and a cold sweat seemed to seep from her every pore. Worse yet, it mimicked her voice, and once again hearing the words she'd said to Mike on that day cut into her like knives. They echoed in her mind until her head throbbed, and tears streamed down her face as she watched the reenactment of Mike's breakdown. She thought that she started to scream at one point, but it was difficult to hear anything but the shadow's laughter in her mind. Milo's laughter. Mike's laughter. She wanted nothing more than for it to stop. The Lavaridge Town gym leader fell to the ground in a crumpled heap, clutching her head with her hands. That Milo creature's words were true, weren't they? All of this... really was her fault.
=-=-=-=-= The pain in her hands felt distant and numb as Kasiya stared blankly at the doors. She couldn't understand why he would have sealed the doors behind him. He wanted them there with him to bring down that Maxie guy, didn't he? Why would he lead them all this way only to cut them off at the most important part of this mission? Tears welled up in her eyes and had started to dribble down her cheeks, only to evaporate moments later from the intense heat of the volcano. She jumped slightly when something cold and wet touched her hands, and she snapped out of her daze to see the one and only Sasha tending to her burns, which had begun to hurt as soon as she came back in to focus. "Oh, but, your handkerchief," the tiny blonde said sadly, looking at the now-ripped cloth that had been wrapped around her palms. It seemed to be the last thing the pink-haired girl was worried about was her old bandanna, and Kasiya smiled up at her fondly, nodding in response to her off-hand question. "Thank you, Sasha, you really are a good, dear friend as well," she added, also glancing to the red-haired gym leader. It was obvious that poor Flannery was anxious and scared out of her wits, which was virtually the polar opposite of the Flannery Kasiya had first met and befriended. Kasiya couldn't begin to imagine what the Lavaridge gym leader was going through, and her eyes turned to the other Lavaridge redhead as he'd motioned for them to get back, which she did, with Sasha's help.
Her blue eyes went wide with both wonder and respect as Keegan's Golem punched through the steel doors like they were made of putty. She too could remember the day that Tierra evolved, as she'd been the one to help Keegan make the required trade for the then-Graveler's evolution. She made a mental note to never, ever doubt the redhead's prowess as a trainer. As the redhead followed the powerful Rock-type through the gap, the rest of the group followed. Kasiya could feel her heart start to race and she clutched Sasha's hand tightly, feeling her own anxiety beginning to well up in her stomach. She'd reached out to Flannery as well, feeling as though the older girl could use the support, but the tall redhead was already quite out of reach. She took a deep breath as they stepped into the next room, which was much larger than one would have imagined. Since she and Sasha were at the back of the group, they were the last to see the welcoming party opposite them, waiting for them on the other side of the room. Kasiya had actually walked into the back of Kilik before she realized they weren't walking forward anymore, and she carefully peeked around the much-taller boy's side to see what was up. Again her eyes widened when she saw four familiar Pokemon awaiting them - Titanium, Proton, Portabello, and Xanthos, was it? Being as naive as she often could, she didn't realize Mike's Fire-types were absent until Kilik pointed it out, but with that information, she quickly put two and two together. "They're not here to battle us," she told Kilik as Cable had burst from his Pokeball, eager to defend his trainer. "Not unless they have to. They're here to stall us."
Her focus had been on Mike's Pokemon, and it wasn't until Hiro had erupted from his Pokeball, snarling fiercely at the group before them that Kasiya realized it wasn't only Mike's Pokemon waiting for them - there was something else in there with them. As the shadowy figure made his presence known, Kasiya felt a chill run up her spine, seemingly to spite the near-crushing heat that constantly surrounded them. It was difficult not to stare back at those haunting, soulless eyes, or to shiver with fear whenever it started to cackle. It wasn't, however, until the phantom spoke that Kasiya recognized that voice, and as she looked up at the shadow, a memory flashed through her mind:
She'd awakened to the feeling of air rushing all around her, and warmth beneath her. She and Mike were on Nitro's back, flying through the air. They were being pursued by a strange boy with wacky hair and an even wackier pair of Charizard wings strapped to his back. Mike had turned around, and calmly rested his arm on her shoulder. "I hope the little s**t likes eating fireballs," he'd said as he released several large bursts of fire at their pursuer. At the time, Kasiya hadn't realized it, but this calm, cold and level-headed person was not the Mike she knew and loved. The tactic had allowed Nitro to speed away, but by that point, the person sitting in front of her seemed to convulse with pain. "It seems I'll have to go away for a bit. You take care now, love," said the boy as he took in a deep breath, contorted slightly and fell limply on Nitro's neck. Then, a few seconds later, he woke up screaming and intense pain, but this time he was more like his usual self.
Mike had explained the split-personality that was Milo, as he'd just introduced himself, and though Kasiya fully believed him back then, seeing the phantom manifesting itself now only made it that much more concrete. Hiro continued to snarl at her side, but even the Arcanine's growls weren't enough to block out the shadow's words. He'd chosen Flannery as the target of what was most likely his first verbal assault and quickly reduced the gym leader to a sobbing wreck on the cavern floor. Kasiya glanced at the redhead, feeling a surge of anger. She would definitely be lying if she said she hadn't been both angry and disappointed in Flannery after she'd turned her back on Mike that day, but now that she'd been given some insight into both sides of the story, she felt more sympathy for her than she'd ever thought possible. That, and her protectiveness over her friends began to kick in, and even though every logical part in her was telling her not to, she pushed through her friends, accompanied, of course, by her mighty Arcanine. "Leave her alone!" she shouted, her small, bandaged fists shaking in rage as she stood protectively in front of the redhead, Hiro following suit. "Back off, and get out of our way, or else!" she tried to sound as intimidating as possible, but in reality, the small girl looked about as harmless as a Skitty about to pounce. The Arcanine snarling and growling at her side, however, definitely fit the part a lot better.

Amy knew that she would be doing much worse if it wasn't for Lee and his tactics and determination. The girl felt a rush of gratitude as she watched the Fighting-type charge forward and fake a move to the left, leading Bulbasaur to dodge right. But when the Tyrogue deftly changed his steps and his shoulder found the Grass/Poison-type, the bespectacled girl wanted to cheer. Bulbasaur tumbled back, grunting in pain, while Lee hopped back, trying to ignore the way that the Poison sapped at his health. He clenched his fists and waited for Amy to lead him again, knowing his trainer would win them this battle.
"Razor Leaf, Bulbasaur!" Tina commanded, growing more and more irritated that her precious little Pokemon was being beaten down by a weaker Pokemon, and a Fighting-type at that. She wouldn't have that happen. So Bulbasaur complied, releasing a torrent of leaves that swept through the air at dangerous speeds. Lee found himself unable to move quickly enough to dodge them, eliciting several cuts across his body. He fell to one knee, grunting in pain. The battle's toll on the Scuffle Pokemon was obvious, but he didn't seem quite ready to give up. Instead, he knelt for a moment, squinting at the Seed Pokemon with disdain. Amy knew that he wouldn't last much longer, teeth worrying her lower lip at the thought.
"Just a little bit more, okay?" she called out, trying to keep calm under the pressure. He was taking a lot of hits, and that Poison status wasn't helping much at all... there had to be something she could do, but her mind drew a blank. All we can do is attack, the brown-haired girl realized. "Mach Punch! You can do it!" The attack struck quick and true, but left the Scuffle Pokemon more winded. He was hunched over, trying to keep a grip on things, when Tina ordered once more for a Take Down, and that was it. Bulbasaur knocked Lee right off his feet, and he was down for the count.
"Thank you," Amy said quietly, coldness spreading through her veins as she recalled her Tyrogue. "You were so great." There was still the Bulbasaur and one of Tina's other Pokemon to worry about, she knew. It seemed practically impossible at this point, but she had to keep going. Are you ready, Flora?

Geez, lighten up, why don't you? Jade thought, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. She knew she was being particularly difficult, especially since she had only known Jake for a few hours, but at least she was keeping him on his toes. Her scowl worsened when she saw his counter, which simply nullified the idea of Water Gun all together. I guess we're going to do this the hard way, huh?
"Watch out, Aquarius, because things are gonna get rocky. I want you to use Scratch," she said, trying not to sound too cruel. Still, her Psyduck looked up at her as if to question her sanity. Sending him off to get into the range of Bibarel? Was she kidding? But she merely raised her eyebrows and nodded towards the Normal/Water-type, expectant. Wishing he could sigh, Aquarius waddled as quickly as he could, leaping a little to attempt to swipe his claws across Bibarel's face. And, if he could, proceed to run away as quickly as possible, fearful of his opponent's wrath. She seemed angry enough even when he wasn't attacking her.

Akima lazily opened her eyes, as it was difficult to rest with her teammates' training going on. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the strange blue rock-thing watching her, though if she didn't know any better, she'd swear he was judging her. The Weavile growled slightly, though it would go unheard as the Pupitar had whipped up a fierce Sandstorm that was now ripping at his teammates. Akima raised an eyebrow, what would he do something like that for? As far as she knew, Pupitar was Crenu's toughest Pokemon, but that didn't mean he should be rubbing it in the faces of the rest of the team. As the team alpha he should be helping the others to get stronger as well. Ah, whatever, it wasn't her business what the stupid blonde boy and his stupid Pokemon did, so long as they kept away from Riza. Akima would never forget Poliwhirl's actions, nor would she forgive him. Riza, meanwhile, was still watching Faustus as his Dragon Rage Twister petered out, still not sure how she could make the combination more appealing. The Dratini seemed happy with his progress though and went ahead and did it again, and Riza watched happily as he managed to whip up a new Twister, this one forming much more quickly than the first. This time, as Faustus prepared to unleash his Dragon Rage, Riza quickly spoke. "Try aiming for the bottom of the twister," she said, imagining the flames to travel upward with the momentum of the spiraling winds instead of just spreading out from the middle. The little dragon nodded and did just that, expelling a thick stream of indigo flames that swept into the bottom of the Twister. This didn't seem to be such a good idea as the Dragon rage disrupted the twister, and both faded out pretty quickly. 'Hmm. That didn't work,' Riza thought, glancing over at Eris as she continued to levitate a rock that had been lying nearby. It was easy to see the Quilava was getting quite frustrated as finally she used the psychic energy to crush the rock, which made Riza raise an eyebrow. 'Well, she may not be able to use Extrasensory quickly, but that attack is definitely getting stronger.' "That's it for now, you guys," the dark haired girl said to her two youngest Pokemon. Eris pouted and plopped down on the ground, clearly tired from all the mental exertion. Faustus seemed all right for now, moving over to his teammate and reassuring her with a gentle nudge.
Meanwhile, Diemia was still intent on crushing the Gardevoir, but Yula was proving to be a rather tricky opponent as she hid behind her double team. The Crawdaunt was angry, now holding up both her claws and firing off a relentless Bubblebeam in a large circle, slowly causing Yula's clones to vanish one by one. The real Gardevoir had attempted to avoid them but Diemia made the coverage good and she cried out as the bubbles crashed into her. Diemia, now aware of Yula's position, didn't hesitate to rush forward, rearing back her claw for another strong Knock Off attack. The dark-type move scored a heavy hit on the psychic-type and Yula was hurting, but by now, Riza was done. It was still early in the morning and they had the whole day ahead of them. Once again she looked toward the Cerulean Gym, and she smiled. 'Yes, I'm going to challenge that gym today,' she thought, looking over at Crenu as his training area had been encompassed by a fierce Sandstorm. Riza returned a nearly rampaging Diemia to her poke ball and wandered over to Crenu's side, Eris, Faustus and Yula in tow. Akima continued to doze lightly in the shade. The Weavile didn't want to admit it, but her body was aching from all the battling she'd done yesterday. Between their training earlier in that day and having three tough battle-contest rounds, she was still feeling the effects from it. Seeing the sleepy Weavile, Riza recalled her too so she could rest.
"Hey," Riza said as she approached Crenu. "I think we've had enough of a morning warm up. I'm heading in to get breakfast and then I'm going to take on the Cerulean Gym. You can come along if you want, but I understand if you want to keep up your own training." She peered into the Sandstorm, wondering how well Froslass was doing for a moment before she leaned over and planted a lingering kiss on Shiro's cheek. She smiled impishly before heading back toward the pokecenter for a quick round of healing and some much needed food for her and her crew. * * * * * 'That member could even be me?' Katie repeated to herself, though admittedly she found it a little difficult to imagine herself keeping and raising an egg that she'd stolen. But then again, those breeding centers often overcharged people for egg commissions so maybe it wasn't such a terrible thing. Granted, she still didn't know how she'd pull this off, but she figured she had plenty of time between here and Hearthome and Solaceon. She looked back up at Mai, nodding in agreement that their next meeting would be in Veilstone, where Katie assumed she'd hand over the egg and acquired data. She also wasn't sure how much luck she'd need, but the wheels in her head were already turning as she stood up to leave, looking back as Mai had decided to add one more thing. The orange haired girl grimaced at the thought of the balcony but nodded. She most certainly did not want to fail and disappoint Mai, not after Mai had put so much faith in her. "Alright, we won't let you down," she said, giving a polite curtsy to her superior before motioning to the eager Elekid. "C'mon, Kord, let's go."
As Katie and Kord exited the old hotel, she couldn't help but look up at it as she and the young electric-type walked away from it. On the outside, it looked like just an office building, and Katie smiled, realizing that slapping a label on the outside that said "Team Rocket HQ" would draw every law enforcement agent in the whole Sinnoh region to them like Dustox to a flame. Katie yawned and stretched a bit, glancing down as Kord mimicked her actions. She was still a bit tired from her late night, but she'd manage. It wasn't the first late night she'd pulled, as she'd often pulled all nighters with her mother so they could push out the next line, or make last minute changes or whatever. Katie idly wondered what her mother was currently working on as she turned up a fairly busy street, making note of the pokecenter up ahead. Kord suddenly cried out excitedly and gave off a few sparks. Confused by her Elekid's excitement, Katie looked forward. It was hard not to notice the large black and yellow creature walking along just up ahead, and Katie didn't need her pokedex to identify it. "Oh my goodness, Kord! It's an Electivire!" she squeaked excitedly, quickly looking back to the little plug Pokemon. "That's what you'll evolve into someday....." but she trailed off as she realized Kord was no longer at her side, but speeding along the sidewalk ahead of her. "Kord, wait!" she cried, giving chase.
The Elekid was far too excited to hear his trainer's cries, nor did he see the rather tall boy riding on Electivire's shoulders. Drawn in by both the familiarity of the Thunderbolt Pokemon and the steady flow of static electricity radiating from it. The swift Elekid quickly caught up to the Electivire and his trainer, arms outstretched and sparks flaring from his prongs. "Bibibibibi!" he cried with every step, finally throwing himself at the large Pokemon's leg and hugging it tightly. "Bi bii! Bibibi!"

Finally, they had caught a break! Karrigan felt the slightest bit of colour return to her cheeks as she watched the ice entomb Victreebel, suddenly wishing she'd used her Brick Break and Dig TMs on her Pokemon before charging into the gym. The Fighting-type move would probably do wonders against a frozen opponent, but, like most people, Karrigan had perfect hindsight. Regardless, she knew this was an opening she had to capitalize on. Bringing down this Pokemon would be just what they needed to start a comeback. The normally stoic girl allowed herself a slightly larger smile than she normally wore, attempting to steel her courage as she pointed at the frozen Grass-type. "Ikouma, it's time to turn the tables," she said, her tone somewhat icy as well. "Follow it up with another Ice Punch."
Ikouma gave a curt nod before he raced forward, eyes narrowed. This was the kind of battle he preferred; quick, and to the point. The normally quiet Pokemon unleashed a fierce and somewhat uncharacteristic growl as he launched himself into the air, using the momentum of his jump to add some extra power to his Icy Punch.
=-=-=-=-= Does this girl have any facial expressions other than scowls? Jake thought, his face wearing a slight scowl of his own. The Bibarel standing squarely in front of him mirrored her trainer, staring down their opponents intently. Jake blinked a few times, suddenly finding no grounds for his irritability and he shook it off scratching the back of his head and quickly replaced his frown with an almost dopey grin. They're playing hardball now, the blonde thought after Jade had issued her command, but it'd be interesting to see how it played out, considering the apparent timidness of the Psyduck. The little yellow fellow was more than reluctant to comply, but he seemed more upset at the idea of displeasing his new trainer than being ruled by his wariness and he charged - well, waddled - forward with gumption.
"Hold your ground, and counter with Tackle," Jake said firmly, his tone fully implying that if Bibarel chose to disobey, she'd be in trouble. The Beaver Pokemon was definitely not fond of the idea of an extended timeout in her Pokeball, so she chose to listen to the spiky-haired boy, hunkering down and eyeing the Psyduck as he jumped and swiped at her face with his pointed claws. And swipe her face he did - Bibarel let out a small cry as the Psyduck's claws raked her face, leaving a trail of parallel scratches across her left cheek and nose. Fine, he wanted to play rough? Well, she could play rough, too. With another deep growl, Bibarel lunged, throwing out a stiff shoulder at the chubby little duck. The Beaver Pokemon thought Aquarius should consider himself lucky; she had other, more painful attacks in her arsenal.
=-=-=-=-= Upon seeing the confidence start to return to Karrigan, Erika allowed herself to smile as well. The Gym Leader was almost more than certain that she would not be handing out her Rainbow Badge to the redhead this time, but if a rematch were to ensue in the future, she had no doubt about it. A Psychic-type, an Ice-type, and the third Pokemon she had yet to see would be more than enough for full Grass-type coverage, but Erika had to focus on now. The gym leader adjusted her headband, and tucked in a few flyaway strands of her dark hair. With Victreebel frozen, there was nothing she could do but wait until he thawed, or until he was knocked out, which was starting to look like the case. The Sneasel sped in for the attack, leaping up into the air and bringing down another frigid punch on her dear Victreebel. It seemed as though the Flycatcher Pokemon's time on the battlefield would be coming to a close as Ikouma's second Ice Punch hit home, scoring a critical hit on the immobile Pokemon. The ice encasing it shattered and Victreebel uttered a quiet squeal as it slumped to the ground, only to be recalled by his trainer.
"Victreebel, thank you," Erika said, smiling gratefully at the Pokeball as she slipped it into the pocket of her shorts. She glanced up at the Sneasel one more time, wondering which Pokemon she should send out to take Victreebel's place. She managed to decide pretty quickly and made a choice, smiling brightly as her Ivysaur appeared on the field. After his debut some time ago, she'd been using him in her gym battles more regularly, and he was definitely proving to be a valuable asset. "All right, my Ivysaur! Use Sweet Scent to draw them in!" The Seed Pokemon pranced about on the ground, shaking his leaves. The reddish flower bud on his back began to glow, giving off an irresistibly sweet aroma that quickly covered the battlefield.

Robin sat there for a few moments looking around before an idea hit her. Who was she trying to talk to? No one but her and Luffy were there! She laughed to herself for her own stupidity, that was recognized here. Really! She was going to have to do better then that! This was a gym challenge and part of the task was to find the gym leader, not fly around like a monkey, though that was a lot of fun. Ok so she had just found the arena, not very surprising it was covered in grass. Deciding to be smart for once Robin decided to check it out. The redhead didn't bother to brush off her scratches or the dirt, leaves and various twigs that were covering her person. They were like some kind of camouflage, she also didn't really care all that much what she looked like.
Getting up Luffy and her checked out the arena. It was unfortunately like almost every other arena, just covered with grass. It was very nice grass to be sure though. "Hm, well this isn't very interesting." Robin protested. "Let's go find that gym leader Luffy!" She grinned down at the Ambipom and patted his head, "The gym leader shouldn't be to far from here right?" Well that was the theory anyway, and it was sort of true. Robin and Luffy would probably get distracted by something else and end up across the gym in a few moments.
~~~~~~~
When Kenny exploded out of the pokeball white fog like smoke puffed out around him. It was really only because Dante actually knew it was Kenny in the pokeball that he was sure he sent out the right pokemon. Because seconds latter the entire arena was blacked out by a wide range night shade attack, While it didn't do any damage the night shade blocked out the lights and plunged the room into pitch darkness.
As hushed whispers filled the room, people were slightly confused here, the purpose was to show off your pokemon, and they couldn't see anything. Some were a little creeped out by how dark it was, though that soon changed as orbs of blue fire appeared scattered all over the room. Kenny was using his Wil-O-Wisp to cast the room in a freaky supernatural light. The blue light and the white smoke from the seals combined with the darkness of the room were enough to send shivers down even the bravest of spines. Ghost pokemon freaked many people out and it seemed like Angelic and Kenny were using that to their advantage. Still the show wasn't over yet, Kenny had yet to step out of the darkness and reveal himself. That soon changed though as two detached hands appeared in the pale blue light in the middle of the arena. They moved in a sort of hypnotic, and even in Dante's mind, creepy way. One large red eye opened up and seemed to stare at the entire arena seemingly out of no where. It was then that Kenny fully appeared his large body seemingly materializing from the darkness and into the eerie blue light.
Dante watched with wide eyes, it was a good thing the darkness was covering him because what happened next even caused the normally stoic boy to jump. It happened so fast that people still weren't quite sure what had happened. A thousand needles seemed to appear in the air surrounding the Dusclops. They hung there for just a moment before they all zoomed forward and pierced through the ghost pokemon. An eerie silence filled the room as they watched the Dusclops stand there for just a moment before disappearing. As soon as Kenny was gone an overwhelming oppressive feeling filled the entire makeshift stadium. The feeling was almost enough to bring Dante down to his knees as he staggered slightly in the fading darkness. Quickly recovering himself he had one last second to compose himself before he was viable again and the blinding lights above were shining down brightly once more.
On the outside Dante appeared to be unaffected by his pokemon's performance but that was entirely different on the inside. His mind was racing, what was that last move? Curse? He had never used the move, he had actually been afraid of using it. No one quite knew what it did with ghost pokemon and he had never bothered to find out. Now he knew though. He remembered that overwhelming feeling. The sheer helplessness of that moment. Was that what it felt like to be on the receiving end of that attack? Dante didn't even notice as he left the silent arena. It seemed that everyone else was recovering from the actual attack Kenny had put on the crowd. He handed the ghost pokemon's pokeball to the staff to be healed before he headed into the next room. Sometime during the shock Kenny had put himself back into the ball. He absentmindly thanked the attendant and headed back into the room. Hopefully they made it to the next round, Dante had no idea how the other's did in their appeals.
As the salvo or rocks rained over Fearow and Ariados, the two tried hard to avoid getting struck again. Both being weak to the powerful attack were hurting pretty bad from taking it directly before. Fearow especially was near his end, one of Crenu's newest pokemon he wasn't nearly as strong as Pupitar or even Ariados yet and was nearly taken out in that one strike. Ariados was able to take the hit a little better but she too was struggling to fight back. Fearow's wings flapped furiously as he dove from one side to the other, dodging rocks able to dodge all but one that grazed his wing, making him start to sink. Ariados foudn herself dodging one rock after another, but a large cluster of the stones fer falling above her with no escape in sight. "Spider Web Ariados, catch the rocks you can't dodge." Crenu said plainly, and Ariados immediately fired fired silk from the spinnerets located in her mouth and back of her abdomen, hastily making a large web up above her. The sticky silk wrapped around the rocks and brought them together into a large ball, and with all her might she tried to throw the clump away with the silk string that connected her to the net. She strained herself heavily as she swung the string with her forelegs, but the stones were to heavy and they crashed on top of her crushing her, or at least they would have had had the ice types not intervened. Ariados closed her eyes expecting to be pancaked under the mass of rocks, but instead felt a cold wind as Swinub and Froslass were standing side by side using their Icy Wind in unison, blowing the arctic wind at the mass of wrapped up rocks from behind her, both using full lungs of air and exhausting themselves as they pushed it away. The rocks landed inches away from Ariados, and the two ice types took a moment to catch their breath, Froslass nearly collapsing from exhaustion, still young and having to deal with the sand tearing away at her. Ariados looked at the two saviors, unsure of what to think, then looked up at Crenu who simply shook his head. "At least you two are quick on your feet. I'm assuming that was your idea." he said to Swinub, who wasn't as tired or hurt unaffected by the sand. Swinub just snorted and nodded, nudging Froslass with his nose to thank her for her help in saving Ariados from terrible damage. "You on the other hand, failed to avoid the attack and to counter it. You're not strong enough." he said simply, recalling Ariados to her pokeball before she had a chance to protest or sulk.
Fearow watched as Ariados was banished away into her pokeball, and dove at Pupitar wanting to avoid the same fate. As he dove, Froslass started to feel dizzy, the whirling sand too much for her to take and she collapsed, trying to float up and continue. Swinub looked at her with concern and grabbed onto her, dragging her towards the outside of the storm. As he pulled her he shielded her as best he could with his thick fur, Froslass weakly holding onto him trying to help him move her out of the storm. The two continued on until they exited the sand dome, resting just outside where Froslass laid and rested. Crenu peered at them from the corner of his eye, but let them be as he watched Fearow dive at Pupitar, with an Aerial Ace the golden bird slammed into the blue armored pokemon with all his might, the force enough to knock him over. However the attack did little to penetrate his rocky shell, and Pupitar rose back up seemingly unbothered by the attack. His eyes started to glow as he prepared another Rockslide, but stopped as Riza approached them, causign Crneu's focus to change for a moment. He nodded, and was about tell her he was going to stay and train some more. But as she left him with a lingering kiss and smiled at him, all he could say was. "I think I'll join you." Pupitar's eyes returned to normal and he looked at Crenu, the sandstorm dying down awaiting the next order. "You've trained well for now. But we will pick this up again later and train harder." He said sternly, recalling all his pokemon and quickly joining the raven haired girl to get his pokemon healed and fed as well. A trip to the Cerulean gym for observations might prove useful.
'Crenu is sure being hard on his Pokemon,' Riza thought, having felt the ground shake beneath her from Pupitar's tremendous Rock Slides. She felt especially bad for Ariados, as even though the spider like Pokemon was not her most favourite of creatures, Shiro was being hard on her. 'I wonder if he's still upset about last night's contest,' the dark haired girl thought with a sigh. 'If he is, he should be taking it out on me, not his Pokemon.' She glanced over at her three Pokemon as they followed along after her, proud of how far they'd come in such a short time, particularly Eris and Faustus. The Quilava still couldnt' get her psychic powers to work overly fast yet, but Riza was certain that would change in time. The Dratini, on the other hand, was showing awesome potential, but she still wasn't sure how to improve on his Dragon Twister, as she'd cleverly started calling it. Faustus and Eris were already looking as though they'd become BFF's, which made Riza smile. At least some of her Pokemon got along with the others, but the same couldn't be said for Plua and Diemia. 'What am I gonna do with those two?' she thought as they reentered the pokecenter. "Your training looked.....intense," she commented to Shiro as they headed into the lobby. "Everything all right?" she added as she recalled her remaining Pokemon and placed all six poke balls in a tray for treatment. * * * * * Gardenia had indeed realized that some potential challengers had entered her gym, but it often took them a while to find her so for now she was content to sit up in a tree with some of the gym's Pokemon, enjoying a feast of berries. Sometimes it was nice to just sit and relax, though she did hear the telltale sounds of battle in the distance. At one point she heard the voice of the excitable red head right near her, and she glanced down to see her and an Ambipom pass by. Giggling a bit to herself, the eccentric gym leader lobbed a large, juicy Pecha berry at the Ambipom. It was no fun battling on an empty stomach, and Gardenia was often the type to put things off.
((First Gardenia post woo! Sorry it's kinda lame....))
Keegan cast a wary glance at Tierra, quickly picking up on the Golem's nervousness. Well, she had every right to be - not counting Nitro, these were Mike's strongest Pokemon, the Steelix and Breloom especially. The redhead nodded along when Kilik pointed out that the Fire-types were all absent, and then Kasiya furthered that observation with an astute insight of her own: that they were simply stalling for time. They haven't made a move to attack us yet, Keegan thought, holding up Tierra's Great Ball and recalling her. The Golem already seemed to tolerate him, at best, and he didn't want her to get hurt if he could avoid it. He glanced at the doors the group seemed to be guarding. I guess Mike wants to fight fire with fire, he thought, grinning to himself at his own stupid pun, but that grin quickly shifted into an expression of aggravation once the shadowy and vaguely Mike-shaped shadow stepped forward, and began to speak, of all things. The ******** is this? he thought, green eyes narrowed as the creature began to act out Mike's breakdown from the beach party. It was chilling to watch the phantom perform, particularly as it not only spoke everything word for word, but the shadow puppets he'd conjured acted the scene out perfectly as well, and with accurate voice portrayal.
A jolt of anger shot through him as Milo directed his first attack at Flannery, a slideshow of childhood memories passing before his mind's eye as he looked at the redheaded gym leader. Her screams and sobs were enough to give him chills of his own, and if anything, he felt sympathy for the girl. It must have royally sucked to be the one on the receiving end of Mike's deranged displays of affection, and if he'd been in her position, he probably would have acted the same way. Interestingly enough it was Kasiya that decided to be the first to stand up to Milo, and the redhead couldn't help but smirk - you could always count on the tiny blonde for that sort of thing, though by this point, he honestly didn't know if it was because of bravery, or stupidity. Regardless, she'd just made herself an easy target for Milo the Phantom, and though he hated himself for even thinking it, he almost couldn't wait to hear what Milo had to say to her.
Whatever, he thought, tearing his eyes away from the girl and instead dropped down beside Flannery in an attempt to console her. Granted, he didn't have even the slightest clue as to what to say to her, but he wrapped his arms around her nevertheless. "Shh, it's all right, it's going to be all right," he whispered, hoping to at least calm her enough to stop her from shaking. It was heartbreaking to see such a strong person like Flannery reduced to this. This is exactly the last thing we need, he thought, glancing up at the group around them. Why the hell did Mike leave us all behind? For this sadistic little ******** to mess with us? Just what does that moron think he's doing, anyway?! ===== Miharu's comment may have seemed well-meaning and innocent, but even a kind reminder of just how easily the smaller girl had stomped him flat in their battle last night was almost enough to seed Lee into a berserker rage. He managed to quell that anger, however, and instead pretended to cough and adjust the sleeves of his denim jacket. "Yeah, you're right," he said, shrugging. "Gotta work harder, I guess."
The green-haired girl smiled brightly, blissfully ignorant of Lee's inner ire. As far as she was concerned, he was a pretty good trainer and she was happy to have his company as they began their trek toward the National Park, seeing as it was easier to go right through it. As they walked side by side, Miharu glanced up at Lee, but she blushed and looked away quickly as he'd looked back at her, grinning. Miharu hated the constant warmth in her cheeks, and with an erratic flutter of her heart, she realized she had developed her first real crush. Well, second - if she counted her cousin's goofy friend, Mike, but his fascination with Fire-types was more than enough to make her want to avoid him most of the time so it was very short-lived.
Leroy seemed to know his way around Goldenrod quite well, as he was able to navigate them away from and around the busiest areas without causing to lose any time. If anything, they made better time because of Lee's shortcuts, and by the time they reached the entrance to the park, they were both feeling a little warm and thirsty from the heat. "I dunno about you, but I could go for something to drink," Lee sighed as they stopped to rest under the shade of a large maple tree.
"Me too," Miharu agreed, wiping her forehead with the back of her hand. She was thankful for the fact that she was wearing a dress, though she did roll up the sleeves as far as she could push them. She looked at Leroy, wearing a confused expression. "Why are you still wearing your jacket?" she asked. "Aren't you very warm in that?"
Crenu was silent as they made their way to the center, which was normal for him, not paying attention to much other than his own thoughts. Ariados was strong enough, she should have been able to muster up the force to save herself from those falling rocks. her training just wasn't fruitful, she wasn't growing at the rate of his other pokemon and he wasn't sure what to do with her. He could always release her, but he'd be two pokemon down now that Poliwhirl was out of commission for a couple of weeks. And besides, returning an older pokemon that's been trained to her current levels to the wild could prove troublesome, interrupting the balance already established by the native wildlife and possibly causing trouble to other trainers in the area, especially if she were put into an area where Ariados don't typically nest. No, that really wasn't an option at this point, too much of a hassle and leaving a lot of things up to chance just wasn't to his liking. On the more positive note his other pokemon were growing at a good rate, at least from what he could see. Froslass was doing well gaining control of her moves and Crenu was confident to say she'd gotten use to her new form. Swinub was...a little harder to read. Lately he'd been spending a lot of time helping Froslass train it was hard to say where he was himself, but it was clear the two had become pretty close. Whether or not this was good he'd have yet to see. Fearow was was full of guts and did well to keep from being taken down by Pupitar, but he still had a ways to go in building more power. The hard shell pokemon on the other hand had gained wonderful control over his rock slide and other moves, and was still cold towards his team mates which Crenu applauded. Swinub wasn't willing to let Ariados take the resulting hit from not being able to muster the strength to move the rocks, and that kind of compassion could get in the way or progress. Pupitar showed no problem in letting her get hit, he was clearly the heaviest hammer in Crenu's arsenal and he was glad to see he hadn't lost any of his hardness yet. Even though Crenu was deep in his mind, Riza's words came in clearly. "My training is always intense." He said plainly, placing his pokeballs in a tray next to hers for treatment before they headed for the cafeteria. "Everything is fine. Why do you ask?"
The tall boy clenched his fist and was visibly shaking with rage as Milo acted out his little puppet show. He remembered each moment like it had happened not five minutes ago. It was burned into his memory. And then the laughter began...that horrible laugh. Kilik held his head as Milo started to howl, gritting his teeth together. The laughter sounded like nails on a chalkboard to him. "Gggrr...!!!" Kilik stepped up next to Kasiya, swinging his arm up and pointing at the specter, no longer shaking with rage. A small smirk appeared on his lips. "You better look out Milo," he said, his gray eyes focused on the black wisp, "Because we're done. Once you get out of our way, we're going to help Mike! Understand?" Kilik pulled his arm back and held his fist up, "Don't think you've won!"
He looked over at the blonde and then over his shoulder at the others, specifically Keegan and Flannery. The boy dropped his hand by his side and then looked back to Kassie. He smiled. It was the first time the two of them had fought side by side in a long time. Then he looked back at Milo, still smiling. She's right. He'd better get out of our way!
Cable stepped forward and slammed his fists together, electricity splashing out around him. He was full of anger, just like his trainer. Without Mike, there'd be no Napalm! And without Napalm, Cable would have no reason or drive to better himself. Not only was Mike Kilik's friend, but Napalm...Napalm was his friend too! "Elee...VIIII!!" Blinded by the rage and urge to save their friends, Cable began charging his newly found Electro Ball, focusing the electricity in the palms of his hands.
"Cable!" Kilik barked, holding his hand up too little too late. He watched as the massive sphere flew through the air, aimed right for the Crawdaunt.
Kilik yawned, still rather tired from his recent ordeals. The lack of sleep was catching up to him. A few car horns blared passed and he woke up sharply, shaking his head sleepily. "Ugh, this city is so loud!" He scratched the back of his head, keeping a firm hold on Cable's shoulder. He heard something behind them and looked over his shoulder, seeing a small yellow streak running towards them. "Hey, wha!"
Cable stopped when he felt the small thing around his leg, lifting it up slowly to examine it. Well, well! If it wasn't his pre-evolved form! The Electivire snickered at the Elekid and lowered his leg. He shifted a bit and felt Kilik slide off of his back, feeling a pat as well. Cable lowered one of his tails and gave the Elekid a light jolt between the prongs.
"An Elekid?" the boy looked at the two Electric Pokemon, hands on his hips. He straightened his yellow and black shirt and looked around. He hadn't seen any trainers walk by. "Where did you come from little guy?" he suddenly had his answer when an orange haired girl came running up, presumably for the Elekid. "Is he yours?" Kilik asked her, slipping a hand into his pocket.
Cable seemed to be enjoying himself, a large smile spread across his face.
And as Mai knocked on the door, another Admin opened the door for her. As she entered, the admin left, leaving just Giovanni and Mai in the room. "Ahh, good. So lovely to see my number one." The boss placed two glasses on his desk, each with two large ice cubes. He filled both with a fine whiskey, leaving one on a coaster. He motioned for Mai to sit opposite the boss' chair.
"Mai, I am impressed with how far you've come in such a little time," he said, pacing near the window overlooking Jubilife City. "Team Rocket's presence in Sinnoh will be known soon enough." He took a small sip from his glass before setting it back down on the desk. "And soon, even the whole world will know of our strength. Even know, my scientists are hard at work deciphering the two Relics we currently have in our possession, and I'm sure you know a team is currently in Hoenn to dig up the third and final Relic."
"Regardless," Giovanni continued, "the Relics we have mention something about The Original One. The power of space and time. To control the will and emotions of others. Unlimited knowledge. Mai..." he kept his back turned to her as he kept his eyes in a cold gaze to the horizon, Mount Coronet raising high in the distance; so high that the top of the mountain was high into the clouds.
"Mai," he closed his eyes, "Have you ever wondered what it would be like...to be a God?"
