"They use us," Roch said quietly, hugging them both gently. "Their weapons--they were once us. They're using us against us, ghouls. They attack with FEAR, that's how they can hurt us. But..." He sighed. "We can get stronger. And... I don't know, we need to be more careful. When talking to strangers you need to be careful, you need to travel in groups, and you need... hell, I've jumped into so many traps that I'm talkin' like a hypocrite," he said honestly. "I don't know how much I trust the boogies, but I trust the horsemen--at least I trust Invi," he told them quietly. "There was this time when we were caught in nets, they had us all--and it wasn't a dream. But the four horsemen, they traded themselves for us. Sure we exploded afterwards, but hell, that was just another dissipation."

When Circe reached over to extend her hug to the other ghoul, Mitzi did the same. "I don't know, I didn't see what happened to the others..." Texting them that morning, she had only been interested in making sure they had made it back safely. None of them had been too coherent. Then Roch's explained why the hunters had been turning them into weapons. "They use us?" As understanding sunk in, she actually felt physically ill. In a sense, it was obvious, but she hadn't wanted to see it. "The horsemen... In that... dream... the hunter said that the horsemen were gone. That they 'didn't have to deal with the horsemen anymore', or something like that." She rested her head against Roch again as she thought about it, and something at the end of the dream to the same effect. "Do you really think...?"

Circe stared at utter disbelief at Roch. She had known hunters were real ever since the Haunted House but, to learn that the Horsemen really did go to school with them was a shock. "Wait... You mean they actually go to school here? With us?" Circe asked, her eyes wide. Then his words sunk in. "I don't want to be a weapon. Ever." She said, as if saying that could make it true. That something like that would never happen. "If their humans they should be easier to harm... Right?" She asked Roch.
Then at Mitzi's words she slightly scrunched together her eyebrows. Was it possible that the Horsemen would leave them? Suddenly a small pang of panic grew in her chest. Sure she knew pretty much nothing about them other then there were four clans and each of them had an heir that might possibly go to their school but that was about as much as she knew about them. "They wouldn't leave us... Right?"

"I hit one in the throat once, and she grinned," Roch said. "I'm thinking they've got a FEAR shield too. But..." He looked at Circe curiously, "those trials we were in, they were ran by the horsemen. The reason they're doing it is they're interested in a student exchange program. They're gonna teach us... I think." He was a bit stunned to realize that they didn't even know the horsemen were there, though. "They four--they're not... exactly going to school," he told them. "They're more like assistant teachers. I saw Invi fighting at the haunted house--he turns into this MASSIVE fire breathin' horse--it's jackin' awesome," he said, his fanboying start to show. "He's a seriously good fighter, even without bein' in horse form."

Mitzi made a face. "The hunters can use FEAR, too?" Another thing she had been avoiding thinking about. If they could hurt the Amityville students, they must be able to manipulate FEAR on some level. "A student exchange program? That sounds... really great actually. Learning what they know. If the hunters think they're that big of a threat, then we should learn everything we can from them."

"She grinned?" Circe asked as she rubbed her throat with a distasteful look on her face. "They would teach us?" She asked, perking up at the thought. "I want to learn from the War clan." Circe said with a dead face look, she was as serious as a dissipation. "Invi? What clan is he from?" She asked, a very small smile crossing her lips as she watched Roch praise the boil she didn't even know. Then she looked at Mitzi. "I agree. If they decide to teach us something I'm more then willing to learn. Maybe I'll actually learn how to fight."
Then another question popped into her head. "Then how do you beat a hunter? Or really, how do you fight them if they can use FEAR better then we can?" She said, not intending to put down Halloweenians and their capabilities. "I wish she was still here. She was amazing when she fought the hunters." Circe said, meaning Red, the teacher she watched die on the skelevision in the world of couches.

"Invi is the heir of Conquest," Roch said. "He's ah... short, and cute, but don't tell him I said that," he told them. "He's a serious badass, and is really, really old, compared to us--but I'm pretty sure he's still a kid in his family. And as for how we fight them..." He frowned. "I ain't sure. We'd probably need to learn to work as a team, for one. Every time we get into a fight we just do whatever the hell we want, it don't work against a group like that, see? But it don't help that we keep getting grouped into small teams." There had to be a way, he thought. "Somethin' I'm missing..." he muttered. It had been bugging him all day long. "Maybe the clans can figure it out." And he knew, straight forwardly, that the clans were probably interested in them purely to throw them up against the hunters. They didn't live as long, and weren't as important as their own, he figured. But hell, they wound up fighting anyway.

Mitzi broke into a bit of a grin as Roch described the horseman, her first grin that day. It faded as he continued, though. "We get stronger. Stronger and smarter, and we take the fight to them. If that's what the Four Clans want us to do, as long as they're willing to prepare us to do it, then fine." Having not been at the haunted house, she didn't know what Circe was talking about. "...She?"

For the first time that night she smiled. "I won't tell Roch... That you have a boil crush." She couldn't help but giggle a little, purposely teasing him. Then she sunk back into reality and all that faded. "Small teams shouldn't matter. If you've got an even offense to defense ratio... Right?" She began to state before quickly changing it. Maybe she should just listen to her peer and shut up. Seemed like a good plan.
The ghoul looked to Mitzi. "There was a teacher who... Fought for us. I hadn't known her before that as I had just arrived at the school before being tossed into the Haunted House but after that day she forever has my respect." Then she frowned and pointed at the piece of skull from said teacher that hung around her neck. "She died protecting us. Fighting the hunters." Circe smiled sadly down at the piece of bone. "If she was still here maybe she could have taught us how to fight against the hunters."

"Hey now, it ain't a crush! It's... admiration!" Roch protested. "Not once have I ever even thought of kissin' him or anything, uck," he said, making a face. "Plus, and this is another source of admiration on my half, he's got these three SMOKIN' hot ladies. THREE. That right there is enough to get a boil to take notes!" "And yeah," he went on more quietly. "I wasn't on that side, but I saw parts of it. Red was awesome."

Mitzi giggled as well at Circe's comment and Roch's retort, and replied with a teasing grin, "Well, you've got the two of us, and who says we want to share you any further?"
As the two talked about what had happened in the haunted house, the ghoul sobered back up. She nodded as they talked. "Well, I wish I could have met her, then."

"Uh huh. I bet it is." She winked, her mood having highly improved. Then she gave him a fake pout that he might not have been able to decipher as such. "Are you saying me and Mitzi are not smokin hot?" Circe batted her eyelashes a bit before winking at the ghoul near her. "I'm sure we are much better then the three ghouls he has... Right?" Circe asked, once more giving him a lesson in the art of flirtation. However, he was the victim.
Then she returned to their previous situation and a sigh. "It seems like no matter what we do they always seem to have the upper hand."

"One," he said, squeezing Mitzi closer, "two," he went on, squeezing Circe lightly as well. "Somethin's missin," he told them seriously, only to snicker. "But honestly, I got two arms, don't know WHERE a third would go, and I ain't about to ask Invi," he decided. Of course, there was red creeping up the back of his neck even as he said that. "I could ask my granddad," he went on thoughtfully. "I've seen him with four before--but that was at the themepark. But no more hunter talk. I'm sick and tired of hunter talk, at least for the day. Let's talk about somethin' funner!"

The purple-haired ghoul hugged him back, grinning as well. "Smart boil," she teased, "knowing when you've already got a good thing." She couldn't keep a straight face though, and ended up giggling. "Sure, sounds fine. Any ideas?" She really was too tired to come up with other topics herself.

Circe smiled and nodded as hugged the boil as well. "Yeah I'd rather not know either." She replied, looking up at him. "I agree. Why don't we watch a movie?" Circe asked not really sure what it was they could do. All she knew was that she wasn't quite yet ready to head back into her room of solitude. Who knew what might happen next. "Do you have any movies Roch?"
