 Xander watched as Tobias wrote, he heard Haruka's question about what sort of music they liked but he didn't answer it just yet. He pulled up a chair as Tobias finished writing and spoke, informing them that he wan't good at talking to people. Xander just gave a small smile, he wouldn't push the boy into talking. He now turned to Haruka. "I cannot like any one kind of music." he spoke with the hint of amusement. "I love it all." he answered with a shrug. "I'm not picky choosy about music." the boy tilted in his chair and rocked back and forth a little. "What kind of music do you like Haruka?" Xander asked as he placed his hands behind his head and looked at the other boy curiously.

 Haruka took the paper Tobias handed to him and looked at it, opening his eyes just enough to see it clearly. "I see-i can make something like this for you..." it was a beautiful song, he could tell even from his little glance. he turned his head to Xander when the man started to talk. "ah-" he flushed a little and lowered his head, "i love all music too. music speaks to the soul and creates harmonies that nothing else can compare to. that's why i want to become a composer." he rubbed the back of his head, "sorry if that sounds weird, i'm kind of a weird guy." he could understand Tobias not speaking well with others, he used to be pretty bad too, but he was trying to be a little more assertive. "um-so how about i try and write a melody for the two of you by tomorrow and during our meeting time we can go over them and see if you like them? is that ok or would you want to write the lyrics first and then me write a melody to match them?"

 Tobias nodded as Haruka said he could make something like what he wrote. He glanced up as Xander asked the dark haired boy what kind of music he liked, seeing the smaller male flush slightly. Lightly he shrugged as the boy said he might sound a bit weird, not really thinking so. Again he shrugged as the boy asked if he should write lyrics first or the music. It seemed to him that Xander would be the one in charge of their group until either he or Haruka started to feel comfortable enough to be assertive.

Xander shook his head at Haruka with a smirk. "Your not weird." he said. Xander knew exactly what the other meant, Xander also knew weird, Haruka was not weird. "I'd like to see and hear the melody before writing lyrics to it." he answered Haruka as he rubbed the back of his head and glanced around. Xander thought this was going a little better than he thought it would, at least he wasn't partnered with some smart a** who did nothing but fool around all the time. Looks as if he had a bit of luck up his sleeve. Though he thought Tobias was not totally devoted to this project, the boy didn't seem to care much. This bothered Xander a little, he wasn't sure if he would like the gray haired boy or not.

Haruka nodded, "ok, then-i'll work on the melodies tonight and get them to you tomorrow." he smiled brightly at the two of them and was glad they seemed to be getting along so far. he turned his head to the side when he heard the bell and then looked at the other two, "um, if you want-since school is out for the day. maybe we can go to a practice room and-well, work on the melodies. i have a few ideas-already, so if you want, i can play them for you and-oh!" he had stood to gather his things, but hadn't seen the man walking past and ran right into him. the breath was knocked out of him and he bounced off the bigger boy and landed on the ground with an umph. "oh, sorry!" he smiled as he stood up, rubbing the back of his head, "my bad. my bad. sorry!" the student he'd run into walked away and he sighed softly, rubbing his chest where he'd hit, he could already feel a bruise forming, but that was just the fun of being him. he bruised really easily, but he healed quickly so it wasn't too bad. "um, where was i-oh, if you want to come listen to what i have in mind then maybe if you like it you can get a head start on lyrics?"

Tobias nodded as Haruka said he would work on the melodies that night. He shrugged slightly as the boy suggested they stay for a while to work on his ideas but then the dark haired boy ran into a larger boy. As the boy seemed to be checking himself over for injuries Tobias knelt and offered his hand. "Are you alright?" he asked softly, thinking maybe he had gotten more than a few bruises. Hearing the boy continuing to talk about getting a head start on the lyrics he shrugged slightly, nodding. "Okay."

Hearing the bell Xander quickly went to gather his things while still listening to the others he looked up when he heard Haruka run into someone. Quickly throwing his backpack over his shoulder he walked to the door and lifted an eyebrow. "Are we alright out here?" he asked, not bothering to rush to the rescue, Tobias seemed to have that covered. When Haruka continued to speak after falling over Xander couldn't help but laugh yet he nodded. "Yeah we can do that." he agreed with a chuckle to the other boys suggestion of listening to some melodies in the practice room. The way Haruka acted was humorous or amusing to Xander, he seemed so innocent and childlike.

Haruka smiled, “alright, then let’s head to the music room. Thanks for helping me, Tobias.” He hadn’t seen the other’s hand until he was already almost standing, though he’d taken it when he did. He patted the hand and turned his head to Xander who was at the door. “sure, we’re out of here.” He was glad they didn’t make a big deal out of his falling over, sometimes people kind of freaked out when he ran into things and it made him feel bad. He lead the way to his favorite practice room, one that was out of the way so people didn’t normally go there. inside was a beautiful grand piano that was old, but well taken care of. It had the best tone of any piano he’d played and he loved just sitting and letting his fingers tell a story as they danced across the keys. He held the door open for Xander and Tobias before shutting it and heading to the piano. “um-Tobias-san, I was thinking something a little more ballad like for you. Kind of like the song you wrote for me.” He sat down and started to play the melody that had been in his head since he'd seen the song Tobias liked. when he finished he smiled a little and looked at Xander, "and for you-i thought something a little more upbeat? like this-" he played the song that came to mind when he pictured Xander, thinking that the other might have fun with a song like this.

Tobias blushed as Haruka thanked him and took his hand even though he didn't need it. He followed the boy to the music room, blushing again as the door was held open for him and looking at the piano in the center of the room. When Haruka spoke to him he tilted his head slightly and followed him over to the piano, watching him play. Closing his eyes and considering it he nodded slightly, repeating the notes himself at the lower end of the piano to show he had memorized the notes and hand movements the other boy had used. As the boy played for Xander he moved out of the way, watching the purple haired boy quietly.

Xander followed the other two down the halls till they made it to the practice room as they entered his eyes locked on the beautiful piano. Xander looked almost as if he might melt, his fingers itched to touch its keys but he restrained himself as Haruka sat down to show them the melodies. He found a seat and placed his things down. When Haruka began playing the first tune, Xander closed his eyes to listen and leaned back in his seat. When the song was over and he heard Haruka speak to him he opened his eyes and leaned forward, as the other boy began to play the second tune. Xander leaned his elbows on his knees and rested his chin atop his knuckles then closed his eyes once again, letting the music take over his senses. He tapped his foot like a metronome to the beat of the song and memorized the notes, rhythm, and emotion that the song held. When it was over he almost frowned and opened his eyes again. "You play very nicely." he complemented. (( sorry for my absence, my computer is still not working well sad ))

Haruka flushed a little at the compliment and looked down at his fingers on the keys, "th-thank you. uh-so, what did you think? if you don't like your then i can try something else. um, just tell me what parts of it you liked and didn't like...." he was carefully studying his hands, not sure of what else to say. they seemed to like the melodies he had thought of, but they were still just random tunes he'd thought of in a short amount of time. he'd have to write them down and maybe write a more solid harmony, but they didn't sound too bad for a first draft to him. he just hoped his two partners agreed. ((it's fine, glad you were able to post!))
