Apperance: She wears a V-shape cleaved dress that is really one same piece, but at the bottom her dress splits and exposes an under layer (Similar to Byakuren's but without crisscrosses or anything) the top layer strung together by an ornamental  chain she places to mock her other ones. At her waist is a hefty shackle that was place upon her by the ones who sealed her in the body. The belt-shackle is connected by chains to another set of shackles at her wrists. She actually wears long sleeves that have white stripes at certain lenghts. Her hair iscut above her shoulder. Fuzen-mara is actually meant to be a beauty as one of the faces of Mara: She is meant to tempt Whoever she wishes. (After the third seal is when she wears the chains and her hair has grown to be very long) Fuzen-Mara's Apperance

Background: Fuzen was a weaker face of Mara; demons decended from the actual overlord of evil. She was born into  a woman who was murdered by her husband. Killed unjustified, for her husband had thought the young woman was cheating on him. Shocked and enraged by her untimely death, the woman the resolved to hunting men who were unfaithful  to their wives, or so much as touched them in sights of violence taking the shape of a vengeful spirit. Fuzen begun as a poltergeist, and eventually became so resentful of the humans that she gained enough power to injure them, eventually escalating to being able to take their lives. Eventually becoming a full fledged demon who had sworn her service to Mara himself in her more mature state of demonhood. Frightening the village she haunted, the local monks and nuns arranged an exorcism. By then though, it was too late, she had such power as to be fully visible and an untouchable youkai. One of the nuns offered her body in order to entrap the demon and lock her in order to bring some bondage at the very least and if possible, death.

They managed to seal Fuzen in a circle, and even lock her body in the nun that sacrificed herself. Nevertheless, the now powerful demon simply took the nun's body and used it to murder all the monks and nuns that had attempted to seal her, moving to end all life in the village without so much as a chuckle. By the end, she was chased by all sorts of exterminators, who bought upon a second imprisonment: Now locked in a shrine deep within the Hell over watched by the Yamas and the many denizen guards of hell.

Upon the movement of hell's facilities, no one dare move the demon, for doing so would awake a powerful threat to the integrity of humanity. Nevertheless, the continuous  Oni feasts and ruckus of different incidents awakened her. Such was her festered rage, she shattered the seal placed upon her, nevertheless, the seals long placement on her body had degraded her body, as had the immobile state she had been placed in. Fuzen then decided to stay in the shrine that had been so kindly given to her and await the return of her power.

Centuries later, Katrina stumbled upon her shrine and seeing the chance of having a devout follower, she tempted the girl into essentially selling her soul to her. Now gained a blind slave of sorts, Fuzen kept in greater touch with the outside world, planning her own return to the surface.

Katrina's appearance in public did not go unnoticed (What with her wings and markings), and soon, aged Monks who knew the legend of the Sinful Demon that had escaped bondage, they knew danger was awaiting deep in the earth. Gathering various Youkai exterminators and youkai willing to fight, they erupted into Former Hell, Defeated Katrina and once more took Fuzen-Mara for sealing, this time much deep in Youkai mountain. There she has been in induced slumber since.

Name: Volcanus Hanashi

Species: Youkai

Abilities: Manipulation of After effects

Age: Over 800 years

Appearance: She is a woman, about 5'7" with incredibly long flowing brown hair that floats out to the sides. She wears a white hat that is close to a chefs hat kind of. She wears a tight-ish looking white dress That separates at the bottom in the front. She also wears small white slippers.

Background: Long ago, she was a troublesome youkai - always changing the after effects of something and turning it horrid on people. One day, the people were able to put her to sleep and sealed her in stone so she could never awake.

But, every so often some of her power would seep out near where she was buried and damage the surrounding area.

Bio: A long, long time ago, in a world outside Gensokyo, there was a robotic maiden created with the most powerful magics and sciences that were known to that time. With those two elements, they created project V-3RT X "Rosa", or, as the people called her, the Vertex Rose.

She was designed to protect the village and its people. At the cost of her life.

She was the only successful creation out of several others.

As years past, she protected the village from everything that came and threaten it. She began to work with very little times of being noticed by humans, and eventually, people forgot about her existence, and also forgot about the dangers that could happen if she were to no longer defend them.

One day, she just stopped working. She seemed to stop as people forgot about her existence. Her body disappeared and was never found again in that world.

Name: Nora Inu

Species/Race: Shisa

Ability: Ward off evil spirits (Normally a pair of shisa produce a powerful enough aura to omit magics and expel youkai. Since Nora is by herself, her aura is only powerful enough to cause discomfort to mild pain in youkai and make spell casting slightly harder.), Roar of the Heavens (Shisa can focus their warding energes into an attack in the form of a shout. This attack was also used to call local gods or celestials for aid, however since she deserted her post no one would answer her call). (She also practices martial arts, but that is not really an ability)

Location: Wanders mostly around human village, lives beside the road from the village to SDM (where her statue is located)

Description: Nora has a dark red mane of hair that comes down about shoulder length. Its usually unkept and quite messy. Her yellow eyes can come off as predatorial or friendly depending on her mood. Nora her self is quite a deep tan, though tanlines reveal that this is much due to her constant presence outside. Her wardrobe obviouly consists of simply what she brought with her from Okinawa. She usually wears a colorful tank top with denim shorts and flip flops. She also tends to wear unbuttoned t-shirts a size or two too big for her as a kind of coat, as well as a tropical straw hat. (I wanted to give her a from the tropical island of Okinawa feel, seemed like the way without resorting to a swimsuit.) She is always seen wearing a black choker which actually serves as a collar binding her to her anchor (The distance she can go from it is quite generous however). Because of the constant fights she gets into, she usually has a few fresh scarpes and bandaids littered around her body. A number of minor scars also dot her person. She has slightly carnivorous teeth as one would expect from someone part lion, though with one of her canines chipped, she has only one fang. She also has a short fluffy dog tail the same color as her hair.

Background: Shisa are heavenly beast and require an anchor to remain on the plane of the living. These anchors take the form of stone statues of Shisa and have for centuries been placed in pairs at temples as guards. This particular shisa and her partner guarded a small shrine in Okinawa. For decades, the two did their job as wards against evil spirits and kept the shrine safe. When a great war came to the island, by divine edict the shisa were forbid to interfere with the works of humans. Dutifully the shisa sat idle while war enveloped the island. She witnessed many horrible things during that war, including the deaths of the people at the shrine and the destruction of her partner. After the war, the shisa continued guarding the shrine alone as it laid deserted and fell into disrepair. Many years later the Shisa tore her statue free from its base so she could finally leave that place filled with regret. This action however was considered high treason as it was essetially a gurdian leaving its post, and to this day she is shunned by gods and celestials. Free from her duties, the shisa just began to wander. People began calling her Nora Inu. She eventually made her way into Gensokyo and now lives in a small, walless shack beside the road outside the human village.

Dispite her living conditions, Nora is quite carefree and simple minded. She is honest in her emotions and her reactions tend to be unfiltered. As a result, she can come off as erratic in behavior. She tends to speak in short, sometimes incomplete, sentences while speaking in Japanese (english?). Her speech in mandarin and her Okinawa dialect tend to be more natural however. Her abilities as a Shisa make her unpopular with youkai and often is attacked because of this. While humans allow her company, they find her erratic behavior off putting and thus deny any permanet residence.

Name: Tebiki Noroshi

Title:The Ligth at the End

Species: Spirit Youkai

Age: Unknown

Occupation: Spirit Herdered. She is the light you see as you die.

Abilities: The extent to gather spirits

Loaction: Roamer

Appearance: She has short gray hair, with a ribbon that has what looks like an eye as a button, and smaller stone that looks like a tear coming from it. A white ribbon on her black ribbon on her arm simbolizes a permanent mourning for all the spirits she herds. She clothes are meant to be white, but they look musty from the constant traveling. She wears simple sandaals, and her dress fashions the figures of bamboo stalks and leaves. At her hip she wears a belt that has a coin incrusted in the belt, a simbol of the crossing of the Sanzu she once too completed. She carries a staff of metal with a reddish black tint. At the bottom of the staff there is a blade on one side, while at the top is fashions cresent moon that has a chain hanging from it that ties to an oil lamp; the lamp is the light that gathers spirits, and that which you see when you die.Tebiki's Apperance

Background: She knows little of her own background, she was a human until death reach her at a young age and had to cross the sanzu. Judge as innocent, with potential due to her young age, she was given the job to herd spirits, her child like innocence perfect for the job.She took the job and soon learned to love it. As a young spirit herder, she was assigned the job of bringing back the spirit of a deceased woman who had lost her way.

This was to become Fuzen, since Tebiki failed at the task. The young girl tried to lead Fuzen back with no sucess, eventually coming to aid those that sealed her. She personally assigned herself to ensuring Fuzen was never to cause trouble. After Fuzen's sealings, Tebiki always resumed her job.

To date, she still roams, and collects the spirits that had wondered away from the Shores of the Sanzu

Name: Seijin Kazuko

Title:Guarding Wolf

Species: Wolf Tengu

Age: Unknown

Occupation: Guardian of Youkai Mountain. Also a Swordsmaster who teaches other tengu

Abilities: The extent to observe things at a slower pace (which pretty much translates to her having good reflexes)

Loaction: Youkai Mountain/Tengu Village

Appearance: She has white long hair that reaches the small of her back, and a tail and ears to match. Her shirt is sleeveless and a small bow ties the neck of it. Going down she has three buttons: a black one with a white center, a rectangular one with a squiggly line, an d a white one with a black center. Her skirt has a black corner and a pattern that resembles a crack. Both arms are bandaged to the elbow. Her sheath has a black crow feather tied to it and a charm that hangs losely. Her sword itself is a two handed blade, with a ying and yang design on the guard. Down the blade, it has a black center while the edge is white. Along it's length here is a crack on it. She wears boots. Seijin's Apperance

Background:Kazuko was born in a regular tengu family, with a father that worked as a wood cutter. Since she was young she displayed a great talent with the sword, and her parents did all they could to enroll her in the sword academy. Seijin was a great sucess and soon became a legend through the village.

The wolf would travel and aid all those in need, acting as a wise hermit, until her later return to the tengu village after being requested to become a teacher there. Once she returned, she was also personally hired by the Kenkaku household to teach the oldest daugther how to weild an ancient nodachi. Pleased with an interview with Maemi, the wolf complied.

Seijin became Maemi's motherly figured, and sought to always keep her safe, constantly reminding her student she did this for Maemi and not for the pay.

To this day, she still teaches at the Sword Academy in the Tengu Village. Though she speaks of retiring, she has never really put any action to those words.

Name: Yume Seresute

Title: The Forlorn Vampire with an Inescapable Truth

Species: Vampire

Age: Unknown, but quite old. She was born one hundred years after Gensokyo's borders were established

Abilities: To grant one wish per night via falling stars, the power to make stars fall, manipulation of dark energies and fire

Occupation: Unknown

Location: Unknown

Description: Yume stands at about 5'5". She has long black hair that she keeps in a braid behind her head that is tied with a red ribbon at the end. She has piercing red eyes that often show a more hurt expression. She is an "ironing board".

She wears a red gardening hat on her head that is adorn with a white flower on it as well as a black ribbon along the base of the head line. She wears a long-sleeved red dress that shows as high as her ankles at the skirt. On her dress is a sort of white vest-like design that is not attached to the actual dress. She wears an obi with a large white ribbon on the back that is just a couple of inches down from her black wings. She wears white socks and red shoes. Her sleeves are rather tight against her arm and are white a red shoulder thing at each sleeve from the dress at each shoulder. She carries around with her a yellow umbrella to protect her from the sun.

History: Yume was one of the first vampires in Gensokyo. Vampires were not a prominent race in Gensokyo, so she stayed well hidden from human eyes. She lived for hundreds of years after it's borders were made. Though, she was very lonely, there were very few vampires where she was located at the time. One night, Yume decided to watch the sky. She had heard that shooting stars could grant wishes to those who see them, but no luck that night. She did the same the next night, but still nothing. She did this again and again for a week, but nothing. "Why can't you fall!?"She yelled at the sky. She focused her attention on one star all by itself. She focused her mind on making the star fall, and sure enough, it did. It fell from the sky and arched over the Human Village. As it fell, and as she snapped out of shock of it actually falling at her command, she made a wish, a wish to meet someone that she could like. A few days later, Yume met another vampire in ((Not specifying gender >:D)), named Maruno Elipsie. Yume began to grow fond of Maruno, very fond. She never wanted to leave this vampire. Little did Yume know, Maruno felt the same way about her eventually.

Then, the Scarlet Mist rolled in. Yume and Maruno found that the mist had blocked out the sun, so they wandered around, seeing what was causing it, Yume still using her umbrella out of habit and not trusting the mist. But, eventually the mist cleared up, and while Maruno and Yume were still in the open! Yume and Maruno had no choice but to share Yume's umbrella, causing an awkward sort of happiness for Yume.

Eventually, the two vampires did share their feelings. They were happy together. Suddenly, human-like beings came to where Maruno and Yume were living at the time, a nice house in the middle of a cave, and forced their way inside. Maruno told Yume to hide and stay, so she quickly hid in the closet, where she could see through the screen on the door. The beings came in and captured Maruno, dragging Yume's love out of their home. All Yume could do was watch with her hands covering her mouth, tears rolling down her cheeks, as her love was taken from her. After the beings had left the room, she heard them open the front door. Yume swung open the closet door and ran for the door, but it was too late. The beings disappeared from sight with Maruno. Yume fell to crumpled knees in the view of the door and then crumpled to the ground, crying over what she had lost.

She lay in her depressed heap for hours, regretting that she had just let them take Maruno away from her. She couldn't just let them keep Maruno from her. She focused her on the stars like she had done before, and sure enough one came plummeting to the ground. She wished to see her love again, but as days pasted, nothing occurred. She wondered if her powers could only grant wishes every so often. How unfair. She continued, night after night, wishing for anything related to her lover; a sign that Maruno was okay, an item of Maruno's, anything. She received signs from her wishes. She found a piece of Maruno's shirt, the broach that was given to Maruno by Yume herself, and even a small notebook of Maruno's that was locked.

Yume didn't give up. She continued to wish each night for the return of her love, which she missed so much.
