Simply put, Indivar didn't believe Kialio when he insisted that he felt fine, that he felt good but she didn't push the matter. She had decided that if it was something he felt like talking about, then he would. "I am..." she paused before picking the right word, "content." Content was a good word, she felt at peace and relaxed. It was a word that described both, at least in her mind.
She found herself looking at him when he spoke and couldn't help but laugh when he straightened himself only to fall on his back. "You are full of surprises, did you know that?" She told him having decided that she rarely knew what to expect from her friend. She liked that she couldn't always read him. It was oddly satisfying. She enjoy the feeling very much.

"I try," He replied in a sing-song voice, and tried to ignore how underwhelming her reply to his question had been. He flailed his paws lazily in the air before letting himself roll onto his side, facing her. "You're full of surprises too!" Kialio declared, relaxing a bit more now that things had gotten more silly.
He thumped his tail."Sorry," This time he was a little insincere, he didn't really feel bad. "I'm keeping you from listening to the water."

"Am I?" She asked, amused and interested in what he might have to say. She never thought herself to be a surprising or exciting individual, in fact many found her to be abrasive at first but it was simply because she didn't like to beat around the bush. She was very much the type of individual to say exactly what she was thinking without abandon.
Though she did know when to hold her tongue.
Most of the time.
"It's okay," she assured him settling her head down on her paws but keeping her eyes on him. "I like listening to you talk."

"Yes!" He said cheerfully. Kialio could happily say everyone was interesting, but Indivar was more so to him, he found. It was a bit strange, but something he was willing to explore. But he didn't quite know how to put it into words, particularly not for her (he'd be embarrassed), so he'd only elaborate if directly questioned.
He chuckled, sitting up. "Careful, I might just talk all afternoon." He ended up not doing that, of course. But Kialio relaxed with his friend for a good few hours until it was time to head back, without talking too much. He hoped!

She couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm, it was endearing especially after all of the trouble he went to make her happy. She wasn't quite sure how or why they ended up being friends but she knew she was grateful to have him. The pridelands felt more like home every day because of him.
"I wouldn't mind," she chuckled settling her head between her paws listening to a combination of both the sound of the water and the sound of Kialio's voice. To say the afternoon was peaceful was a bit of an understatement.
