When the text message arrived, it was stared at blankly. Then put aside. Then pulled open and looked at again. Considered. Allan's text message was straight forward and to the point. Should he...? Lance read the message again before setting his phone down, looking around for guidance. On one hand, he wasn't doing anything. There was the girl's sleep over, but there was only so much of a closed door you could look at, and even then the camera in that part of the hallway wasn't positioned ideally to peer into Clarice's room. At most, Lance could only note who went in when. It wasn't much.

<Lance, just go. You've been wanting to get out more, and it's about time you saw your old division leader.> His weapon pointed out. <People aren't going to come to you. You need to go out to them. Besides, it's not as if Allan-taichou is going to throw you out the window or anything.>

You forgot to use your thee's and thou's, my fair lady, Lance pointed out as he leaned back in his wheelchair, sighing. Fine, fine. You're right. At least he hoped so. It had been ages since he had last seen Allan. He wasn't sure how Allan would view his transfer into the Mist division. Just to be safe, Lance left his coat behind as he wheeled towards...

...oh. So that was who owned the doorless room. Lance eyed it warily before he wheeled in, raising an arm in salute. "Allan-taichou!" He greeted, giving his former division leader a salute before scooting over to Allan's fridge and helping himself to one of the many drinks inside. He grabbed what looked to be a sort of water bottle with 'Ramune' written on the side, eying it dubiously before opening it and popping the marble into place.

Look, if he was going to be killed in the spirit of brotherly love tonight he was at least going to go down with a drink. Even if it was a carbonated, fizzy and slightly fruit-tasting drink.

Rep was still nursing his strange yoghurt drink, trying to decide whether it was actually /meant/ to be this thick or if he'd just picked the drink that had been in the fridge much too long.

He glanced around idly as an unfamiliar voice joined the little gathering, looked back to the fridge and then promptly did a double take. Okay he really didn't remember there being a wheelchair bound hunter on the island. He would have noticed if they'd been on a mission, he was sure.

He gave the guy a sidelong look as he went into the fridge, eyeing him with interest as he tried it.

"Any good?" He asked hopefully. "Cause this s**t is weird." He held up his own drink.

Lance did not answer Rep immediately. He was busy trying to drain his drink immediately, getting something cool into his system to steady his nerves. To his credit his hands weren't trembling, and aside from the fugitivite-like glances his eyes cast Lance looked more or less at ease.

It wasn't until the drink was finished that the Sun hunter visibly shuddered, shaking his head in response to Rep's question. "Depends on how much you like carbonated sugar water. Me? Not so much." He looked like he wanted to get rid of the bottle, but upon failing to see a trash can nearby Lance rested it on his knee, holding it in place idly with a finger. "Could've done worse and grabbed the eel one. What'd you get?"
PostPosted: Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:22 pm

Wilson wanted to take the rifle. He really did. He wanted to grab it and see if it was loaded with ammunition, maybe even fire off a few imaginary rounds. He might have grabbed it. His hand was already reaching out for it, but the sudden reality that the rifle was definitely Allan’s froze the poor trainee. When he looked at Allan, the sun hunter was fortunately busy doing something else, but Wilson couldn’t bear to risk it. He threw the weapon a wistful look before grudgingly trudging off to do something else. When Wilson opened the fridge he didn’t know what to say.

He couldn’t read any of the darn names on these bottles. After quizzically ogling the confusing characters—some of them looked Chinese, and then some of them didn’t what was even—Wilson decided to take one that looked like tea. He really hoped it was tea. Thankfully, it really was tea. A curious Wilson examined Lance’s and Rep’s drinks.

“I’ve had ramune before. I really like popping it open with the marble,” he said. “…Wait there’s an eel drink?” Wilson promptly opened the fridge door again and looked inside.

Rep eyed his drink critically. "Eh. Says its called Calpis." He grimaced critically at how bad the name sounded.

"At least it tastes better than the ******** name. Sort of like eh.. yoghurt ..ish." he waved a hand vaguely, clearly a master of description.

And then noticed he still had no idea who the guy was. "I'm Rep." He offered. He was pretty willing to be amicable, at least around guys, and tonight promised absolutely no female interference, that was enough in itself to make him pretty ******** happy. As far as Rep moods went, he was currently bordering on perky.

He eyed the fridge again with a frown. "I was just hoping for some ******** booze. Trainee limitations and all that s**t."

Allan had exited the living room to one of the three closed doors in his suite at Jerry's question of other instruments, and now held in his arms a koto, shamisen, and biwa. They all looked extremely exotic and unplayable as well as in various levels of wear and decay. Several of the strings on the instruments looked ready to pluck off at any second. "I found these at this, well, I think they're instruments, this one is kind of odd though," he pulled out, wedged in the middle of all the instruments, an ordinary hair brush, "That guy charged me a bundle for this one too, he said it was- LANCE-KUN!" The Sun Division lead dumped all the instruments on Jerry as he rain towards the Mist Hunter. TWANGGG went some of them as they well, landed in not-so-nice positions, the strings snapping entirely.

It looked like the Sun Hunter was trying very hard not to laugh, puckering his face up as he caught sight of Lance looking and feeling extremely out of place. At the best, Allan looked a little constipated, maybe he should consider something other than Pocky in his regular diet. Now, he knew that Lance was a sensitive man, and Simon hadn't exactly gone easy on the guy - which was something else in itself, because let's be honest here, a Sun Hunter that couldn't mobilize itself was about as useful as a duck that couldn't swim - but the Sun Division Leader had tried his very hardest to mend the broken relationship.

First it had been the Pocky, small gifts he called them, followed by the action figures, followed by the manga, the DVD sets of some not-exactly PG rated material that involved anime, then stuffed animals, posters, every single paraphernalia that Allan could find because in Allan logic, if he enjoyed it, it clearly meant everyone else did too. It was in fact, ritual by now that Lance would find every week stocked in the Mist Lounge, a giant box of Pocky: sometimes it was easier just to accept things for what they were.

Allan casually, as not to alarm, sidled over to Rep and Lance, giving the Mist Hunter a subtle wink, which meant it was probably exaggerated and in fact, kind of looked sort of mocking. "So Lance, how are things. What d'you think of the party, pretty rad huh? How's the nakama biz with Aria and all that, she's super cool y'know, we neighbours and all, I wasn't too sure if she was upset at the entire DDR at 4 am fiasco, but its been quiet at her end so-" again, Allan resorted to stage whispers - "Between you and me I think we're okay."

This time the classy smile was directed at both most likely a very confused Rep, and most likely a Lance that was beginning to regret their decision to the NAKAMA ONLY party.

Harrison wasn't sure what a MEN'S NIGHT OUT entailed. Well, he knew, sure, but there was a difference between his idea of a night out and whatever the Sun Leader had cooked up.

Sewers. Rotting houses. Creepy s**t.

None of those fit in his previous definition of Men's Night Out. But his horizons had been reluctantly broadened.

That the Night Out was In-House was a good start. Everybody was drinking weird things out of different-colored containers. That was sort of familiar. And there was...an activity roster? He grinned. Brawling, he could handle. There was a bunch of Japanese s**t and cartoons, which, whatever. The wall of stabby objects was awesome.

Okay. So maybe this was all Better Than Expected.

Lance stared at Wilson. Was this trainee serious? Lance considered his options. He could very easily point at a random drink and say it was that one. Or he could knowingly point at an even worse drink and sat back to watch the guillible trainee go forth and learn the hard way to be careful of superier hunters. He nodded towards Rep as the Sun trainee introduced himself, taking a moment to jerk a thumb towards his own chest. "Lance, former Sun."

All thoughts of drinks were cast aside and dropped when Allan-taichou caught sight of him. He held his breath, releasing it slowly when Allan merely slided up to him. Old habits died hard. Before, it would have been second nature to brofist his division leader before the brofist turned into a tussle that eventually had them pulling out their weapons. Followed by a quick surrender when Simon arrived, but hey -- those were the days. Lance missed them.

He did not, however, miss Allan's anime ways. While Lance still owned everything Allan had sent him, Lance did not have the heart to throw them out. Even looking at them reminded him of what he had lost. Out of sight, out of mind. Most of it, at least -- anyone who snooped in Lance's room would discover Lance's stash of manga and anime under his bed, the pages on the graphic novles dog-eared from when he flipped through them.

And oh god Allan-taichou was talking to him. Lance considered his next words very carefully. "She is... well, taichou. The Mists are more short-handed than they let on. And, uh. I wouldn't worry about that, taichou. She's rearranged her room completely in order to put as much space between her room and your's for, uh, minimum conflict." That and Aria was usually out and about at 4 am. Or plotting her revenge. Aria was careful to not mention the Sun division around him, but then again Lance made it no secret to her that he missed the Sun division despite his physical inability to ever serve in it ever again.

"So, uh, taichou." Lance began hesitantly, "How have you been with your new recruits? Created a strong nakama with them yet?" Oh god his Japanese was slipping Simon was going to appear at any minute and get ready to pop a cap into him.

Rep was still nursing his bizzare drink as he listened to the little interchange between Allan and Lance. Clearly there was history between the two men, the tension alone paid tribute to that. However at the mention of Aria he couldn't even stop himself from frowning, his relationship with the Mist leader was strained at best, hell the whole division and he found himself wondering if Lance, being a former Sun was now a Mist. Poor guy if that was the case.

He still had no idea what nakama meant. He really hoped it wasn't something that was going to end up as a horrible social faux pas later.

He spotted Harrison arrive in the background as he tried very hard not to butt in on the two men's conversation, especially as the conversation turned to new recruits.

"Hey." He stated waving vaguely at the moon hunter.

Marcus was just.. avoiding. As soon as he heard Dakota voice? Marcus was at the utter other side of the room. While Allan basically told them his 'secrets' Marcus rolled his eyes. Yep, every lead was crazy. Still, he wanted a drink. Alcohol or non, just a drink sounded nice. Going over and pulling out what he assumed to be something tea flavored and non-carbonated judging by the picture and lack of bubbles, he frowned. It better just be tea, it better just be teas, it better just be-

Sipping it, it was just tea.

A bit surprised he looked at some of the other guys who were either a) fascinated by the weapons or b) fascinated by s**t he only vaguely knew. An older hunter entered and sadly Marcus was having a hard time not looking. It was rude. Not to mention as Allen had yet another moment of ADHD, Marcus was inching to steer ******** clear. Looking at the board though- "....With weapons.... and without weapons." A glance at the sun lead. "...." He decided to go where it might have been safer. By someone he knew knew what the hell the stuff was.

"Hey Bix." He shook the other trainee by the shoulder. "So... what is all this stuff? Is it all that.. anime s**t you told me Cass might like?" It kind of looked like it.

It was distinctly lacking in Unico though.

"Hey," Harrison returned, leaving the ACTIVITIES roster alone. He'd meant to make a pithy comment about drinks or sewers, but froze up when he realized who he was standing next to.

He knew the Sun Division Head and organized it, sure, and he'd realized it wasn't a Mission by now, but he hadn't...registered that they'd be mingling with anybody in charge.

He looked at his feet.

"Uh. Hi. Sir. ...Sirs."

When Marcus came up to Bix and Before, the Misty gave the Moonie a small wave in greeting. "Ah, any of you want cookies? Oh wait, these'll be better with milk!" he briefly excused himself to see whether Allan had any.

But by this point there was a small cluster around the refrigerator and, well, Before felt way too awkward to ask now. Oh God, how do I ask how do I do this how- > n> m< xAx!!!!! Eventually in his building anxiety and mounting distress, he ended up tapping Harrison while holding out the cookies, "Doyouwantcookiesdidyouseewhatdrinksareinthere?" he stammered out in one breath.

"Bella figlia dell'amore," a strong, masculine voice sang, filling the third floor hallway, followed by distinctly feminine laughter. "Schiavo son de'vezzi tuoi..." The laughter turned into a pleased squeal, and suddenly a woman was dipped into view of those looking toward Allan's doorway. She had long blonde hair that trailed the floor as her partner bent her down low, as well as a short blue dress that became apparent as he brought her up again.

Glancing into the Sun leader's room, she gave a small, surprised laugh and glanced toward her date. The doctor leaned in close and murmured something into her ear before letting the woman go and gesturing for her to continue on. The man himself, for once not in his habitual hood but rather a tuxedo of all things, leaned against Allan's door frame and looked into the room. H had probably paused in order to issue a few words to emphasize the giant, gaping disparity in how pitiful their own lives were in comparison to his own. But as he glanced around the room and those within it, he didn't say a word.

Instead he smiled, and then with a soft laugh followed his date down the hall.

The situation spoke for itself.

Jerry's face had lit up when Allan had returned with more instruments. And then he had paled as said instruments were dumped on top of him in a heart wrenching display of creaking wood and snapping strings- "I ah, aaaah-oof!" The party rattled on as he took a moment to recover, sitting up with the various instruments scattered on his lap and straightened his glasses to examine the damage.

His face fell.

Alright, so many of them were guitar-like, but he had no idea how to play any of these, and by the looks of their condition...

User Image

Don't worry, little instruments... Jerry was here to save you. They just needed a little TLC is all...

He made the mistake of looking up just as a certain Doctor swept by the door. His expression soured, and he wasted no more time fumbling to his feet again while trying to collect the poor wounded things. Maybe he could restring them... over here. It would keep him occupied at least.

"So many." Bix was not quite to the point where he'd thrown himself against the glass (he didn't want to leave smudges) but he was itching to take them out of the cases (carefully btw) and look at them up close.

"Tons of anime things and I've been out of the anime loop for a while..." He was talking out loud. It was a good thing there were people around him or he'd probably just be talking to himself. "I know some of them, others I haven't seen but that doesn't stop them from being AWESOME." Bix tore himself away to turn to Marcus, Before and Harrison. He shoved his hand in Before's cookie bag and smashed a cookie into his mouth.

While chewing, "This is gonna sound so lame but in middle school I would have mass murdered for a room like this. It's like every variety store in china town jammed themselves inside of here. I LOVE IT."

Dr. H's brief appearance had gone unnoticed because Bix preferred action figures to tuxedos and broads.
