The guardian walked over and climbed onto Onyx's back and then onto his head, a fave place that he liked to sit but also it was closer to his ears incase he had to say something to the kitsu, needless to say, he wasn't about let Onyx make the same mistake again or nothing will ever happen between him and Makoto and if that happens he will not be a very happy kitsu to be around for a while.

Onyx ignored the guardian for the time being and looked at the other "and since when has this ever been your business?" He asked glaring at the other "she may be your friend but since when do friends just up and leave without visiting? Several months she was with me whilst this house was being done and where were you? If she means all that much to you, you would of at least tried to find her once or twice, I went out every day and no once did I hear of any kitsu trying to find Makoto. This world is a big world and many kitsu talk, whether you like to hear some of the stuff or not you usually do end up hearing it sooner or later but since I never heard about you or you looking for her one has to wonder why show up now? Would it have really been so hard to at least try and get in contact with her through other means?" He asked, knowing this was a little unfair but hey, he just wanted to make sure, at the very least, his vanishing act had consequences, one being the fact that this conversation now had to take place, something that wouldn't of had to happen if he had been around and Makoto had reason to always have the males friendship on her mind had she seen him every other day or whatever and thus a reason for her to maybe possibly bringing him up and mentioning the other to him.

How could Onyx stay mad at him for not being there when his mother was ill? His mood softened a little, same with his heart, he knew what it was like, he had a sister who was forever sick, at the moment she was going through one of her 'good spells' where she wasn't as sick as what she could be which is why he was here and which is why he understood the situation, his sister would never get better, she would forever be ill so yes he understood what it was like to have a sick family member. "My apologies" he said sincerly "I know what it is like to have a frail and sick family member, my sister is ill...but enough of that" he said, deciding to change the subject matter before he started to tear up, given how serious his sisters situation is knew he would of blubbered like a child if he continued "and Makoto just wants what is best for her children, we both do" he said as he sighed a little, realising that there was more effort put into being upset and angry with the other then what there was not being upset with him and really, if truth be told he HAD started to slowly get over this, the fact that the other ended up on Makoto's door step just irritated him again, had it been tomorrow he would of probably been alright but hey, this guy just had bad timing.

"I guess I just really can't blame you" he said as he looked over at the eggs "and so I would like to apologise, it was wrong of me to say and do what I did, I know that Makoto is still a bit out of it due to the pregnancy which is why I think it is best we clear this up quick so it doesn't add more stress to her" he said as he also nodded "and yes, I do care for her deeply but, now that I am starting to calm down, I see that you do also, and so I will allow you, though against my better judgement, to take care of this" he said as he pushed an egg towards him and left a paw on it "needless to say, if you harm a single hair on its head or be the reason it cries I will hunt you down and hurt you but I do know that Makoto would want this, I don't but hey, maybe this might get me to trust you a bit more, this will be a good thing to prove to me with" he said as he finally took his paw off the egg, hating what he was doing but hey, if it gets him and Makoto speaking again at least that will be something.

((I apologise for making this a rather...er...short conversation but I think it is better we get this over with quickly, if we can end this quick enough joo can start another with someone, I don't want to take hog your RP time. XD))

"Youre welcome and yes, she would want this, I may not know a lot about Makoto but I do know, given how much she seems to care about you, would like you to take care of this little one, it may not be something I would want" he said as he took a couple of pieces of fish and ate them, savouring the taste and swallowing them before speaking again "but it would make her happy if you were to become, some what, a part of this family and I have to admit, it would be nice if the children had an 'uncle' of sorts as my sister, obviously, would be the aunt so at least they would have one of each which would be nice" he said, hoping he wasn't going to regret this but then Makoto would be happy so thats better? He just hoped she wouldn't kill him for doing this "I would say 'you better' but something tells me Makoto will gut me alive so I will just say that as long as you keep visiting us etc then I am sure you will do fine" he said smiling at the other, hoping Makoto would come home soon, she should be told about this now instead of breaking it to her before he left for the night.

((I think that may be wise if we do, I mean, we are, after all, shipping a kid off to Lucent's to live, I think it would be a pretty good idea to let the mother of the children know someones making off with one of her kids and the father is allowing it.. XD

And that is true, you and I will start another but hey, at least this ones over with? XD))

Onyx looked up and smiled at Makoto a little "welcome home and I hope you don't mind but I thought that the best way this guy can prove to me, at least, that he isn't going to hurt you or the children is to give him one to take care of, I apologise if this may not be what you want but given how close you and he apparently are I thought that if he and I were going to get along remotely then I think that it is best he take care of one of the eggs, of course he knows that I harm him if he is the one to even make our child cry but hey, at least he can properly be watched" he said to her, gesturing to her to come join them "come, join us" he said as he pushed the plate that had the fish on it over to her incase she was hungry.

Makoto was shocked if Onyx was so concerned Lucent might hurt her or the children why give him one? 'Prove you wont hurt this by taking care of it' It made little sense to her but she wasn't about to argue she knew Lucent would be a good guardian, in fact she was more than happy with the arrangement. A warm smiled had spread across her face, Onyx had won himself some points in her favor and she was certainly planning on letting him know, she had begun to walk to him making it to his side with the intent of showing her pleasure when Lucent's tone became more solemn causing her to pause and pay him heed. "Oh Lucent, I'm terribly sorry to hear that, she is feeling better then I hope? It must have been miserable for you, I can't blame you for wishing to care for her and getting caught up with it. I will admit I missed you and often wondered how your studying was coming along but you certainly have nothing to apologize for, you did the right thing caring for her and I'm sure she is much better now for it. You always did have a very good heart." She gave him her warmest most heartfelt smile, she was so pleased things seemed to be going well. "Its why I am so happy Onyx is willing to trust you with a child of ours, I know you will be perfect for the task" She gave an affectionate and appreciative lick to Onyx's cheek and whispered "thank you for trusting me if not him"

Lucent would never hurt Makoto or her family, not intentionally at least. There was ever room for mis-communication and accidents, but that was perhaps best not to mention at the moment. And neither would they have to fear for the child's safety in his care; Lucent was gentle for the most part, but there were darker and more dangerous things lurking within him, as with all of his siblings. One could not be a Heartless, even a half-breed, and be truly benign. It was also probably not good for Onyx to be made aware of this either... especially since it was something he'd not really felt comfortable explaining to Makoto, either.

In the end Makoto was smiling and Onyx too seemed happier and more relaxed. At least for the moment the tension was eased, and perhaps he could help them to work things out further at a later date if he was allowed. For the moment, though, he suddenly had other things to be concerned about. -Mother is much better. Fate smiled upon us and a healer Father had made acquaintance with before my siblings and I were born that he had lost touch with actually happened upon us in what was likely the nick of time.-

He gently pulled the egg over between his paws and re-wrapped the blanket where it had come a bit lose between Onyx's nudging and his earlier tugging. Truth be told he still wasn't entirely sure if he should touch the egg itself, or if he should take it home when he left. Would traversing through the shadows be safe for it? Should he go home and make sure he had some sort of nest prepared first? There were a great many questions and uncertainties he now faced that he was not sure how to address. -I think I should probably leave the little one here until I can make sure things are prepared at home. It would be unwise of me to do otherwise and risk it unnecessarily...-

He stared at the egg for a moment longer before a second and completely different question came to mind. -Am I to name this one?... Or have you already thought of any?- To be honest a name had already come to mind, but he was not sure of the way these things were done.

Onyx looked up from eating a piece of fish he had taken from the plate and and swallowed as he shook his head "I have no names in mind though I thought it would be better if he named the egg, the child will be living with him for the majority of the time so I suppose he can name it, it would seem only fair he was allowed that task" he said, hating that he had to give up naming his children but what could he do? That egg was now his to play guardian over so he did, some what, have the right to name it also if he wished.

Makoto was pleased things seemed to be going well and that Lucent had family who could help. The more loved ones the egg had the better. She was certain it would turn out wonderful under Lucent's care.

When Makoto heard the name Lucent had chosen for the egg she smiled, mother and father would be pleased. She was aware of its secondary meaning having learned several different languages from her books and her families affinity to the Japanese language but she gave it little thought thinking nothing more of Lucent's choice than the reason he gave, he was too innocent and honest for her to ever think he would keep something from her. "It's perfect don't you think Onyx?"
