Having been distracted with the fog creature that had attacked them, Imryn hadn't even noticed that the figures were carrying weapons, much less that something was being fired at them. Next thing that she knew was pain running through her body before blacking out.

The voices of their captors, as well as the bright lights eventually brought her around, though Imryn was still sore all over and eyes a bit fuzzy. Rubbing her eyes a little helped clear her vision some, beginning to growl a little upon seeing that they were trapped inside a 'cage', though on a upside, at least they hadn't been separated... yet. And it startled her a little to think of being with a group as a upside, especially a reaper. However the whispers of her team mates drew her over towards them, more than a little curious as to what might be talked about.

" What are they? ... If they were from the school, why attack us and throw us in here...?" She'd heard whispers around the school... students disappearing and strange things about the last field trip. Granted, nothing was confirmed and she hadn't been sneaky enough to actually find anything out except that something else was going on at the school. "No matter what they are though... I don't wanna tell them anything."

One moment she was fighting, and the next she caught a glimpse of netting in front of her face. But a glimpse was all she was afforded, as her muscles tensed and electricity flowed through her. She felt numb, and even more frightening, paralyzed. There had been no time to move out of the way, or to even think of doing so. The fog creature didn't do this, that was for sure. Then a thought set in as she was losing consciousness; she had seen netting similar to this once before. Only last time, it didn't shock the crap outta her.

She wasn't sure how much time had passed by the time she came to. Twice today she had lost time due to being knocked out, but at least the first time was her choice. She looked around her to see that the ghouls were in the same situation. Then she fully saw the figures. Not in detail, but enough to know that she had seen them before and she knew who they were. She looked to her ghouls with panic in her eyes. "Ghouls...we need to stay strong and say nothing...not matter what. We...are in a lot of trouble. This could get really bad really fast."

Mitzi still had no clue what was going on. In fact, the only one who did seem to have a clue was Whisper, and whatever it was, it had her scared. She glanced at the figures behind the walls, becoming more nervous by the second. "Do you know who they are, Whisper? Why did the knock us out and bring us here?" She rubbed her arms, suddenly feeling a chill that had nothing to do with the room temperature. There had been some rumors going around Amityville... but there was no way they could exist. So what was going on?

If both the older ghouls thought they shouldn't tell their captors anything, Mitzi was fine with that. Anyone who claimed electric shocking nets were non-threatening couldn't be trusted.

For the first time since Imryn had come to the school, she actually was starting to feel scared. The obvious negative reaction from Rain and Whisper had her more than a little worried of what might become of them... but really didn't seem like a good outcome no matter what might happen. "Ok so... I think we can agree that we don't talk to them. Is there anything we can do though?" She didn't just want to continue to sit in there doing nothing until they decided that they were going to try getting them to talk some other way.... non-threatening my a**.

IF YOU ARE TRAPPED IN THE ROOM, REGARDLESS OF WHAT CHOICE YOU SAY (A, B OR C)

IF YOU ARE TRAPPED, REGARDLESS OF WHAT CHOICE YOU SAY

The figure in white seems unamused by whatever you have to say, simply sighing and tapping his pen against his clipboard. "Yeah, thought so. I guess we'll have to do this the fun way." He gestures for another two figures, they look up into your cage and-

- You hear a hissing noise in your cage, manage to struggle, stay awake for a second longer before you black out.

OOC: SELECTING A GROUP MEMBER

- EVERYONE in the group must NOW roll a 100-sided dice at this point and RP out the above (all active members, if you have an inactive member, you can just skip to). The person with the LOWEST roll must RP out the prompt below titled "WEAPONS CONVERSION". Everyone else rps out the regular prompt titled "TRAPPED". Even if the WEAPONS CONVERSION player posts their prompt later, it is assumed that ICly the "weapons conversion" post happened first and then the "trapped" one.
- You are rping reactions for one OR the other, depending what you roll. Rp reactions don't need to be posted chronologically. (That way you don't need to wait for them if you have different time zones).
- If you have been rolled for weapons conversion your CHARACTER IS "DEAD". That means you can no longer rp them sorry sad Consider this their death post, and write out reactions as necessary: solid death posts will be given bonus trial points!
- PLEASE NOW MARK YOUR THREAD AS [CAPTURED] instead of OPEN or CLOSED

WEAPONS CONVERSION PROMPT

When you wake up, you are staring out of a large, cylindrical cage. You press your hand against it, but the walls hurt as if charged by electricity. You recoil to the very center of the cylinder: the light hurts your eyes. You can hear someone vaguely talking outside, you can see shapes, boxes outside, transparent boxes with your team members in there.

There is a loud crackle, a synthetic humming noise, and as you look up-

- Pain. Agony that jolts into you, thousands of times worse than being simply electrocuted, worse than when you were forced to dissipate, you might have screamed, you might have thrashed, it is hard to tell at this point, all you can feel is the pain-

And then you feel something in you snap, shift, and your Fear, as finally, your form involuntarily begins to warp, distort as well. It hurts, the pain still hurts, it is blinding, but as your body fights to re-stabilize itself, you feel better, whole, complete again. Your vision clears again, just for a little bit - you see figures in strange plastic boxes outside, -who are they, they look familiar - but it doesn't matter anymore.

Something clicks in you, like a switch turning on, there is no more pain, panic, hatred, the memories washed out, lackluster.

No, in your world of darkness, emptiness, there is only a slowly gnawing hunger, quiet and insatiable.

TRAPPED

When you wake up you realize you are trapped in a transparent box - a cage. You see the others all around you, but one of your group members is missing.

No, instead, they are huddled in a cylindrical glass cage, a rather large one who's height spans the entire room. They look scared, they look out towards you. You want to say something, maybe that everything will be okay, but you can't. You know it's not true. You know they can't even hear you.

The person is talking now, the figure in the white cloak. They threaten you, saying one of you is next if you don't tell them the truth. If you don't speak the truth, you will be next. And finally, they make you watch, they make you watch as your teammate screams, thrashes around in the cylinder helplessly, and then is consumed completely.

A dull weapon lies where your teammate was. The figure picks up the weapon, and talks to you again. He wants to know the truth, of who you are and where you come from. You turn to your remaining group members for support.

a) You finally tell him exactly what happened from the trials to where you are now

b) You tell then nothing. If you go down, you will go down fighting.

wahmbulance Choice 3: b) You tell then nothing. If you go down, you will go down fighting.

This routine was getting old really fast. She was so pissed that most of her day had been spent unconscious, let alone the fact that she couldn't do a damned thing about it. Last time she was awake she was in a net, but that seemed to have disappeared. Was she free? She took a step forward, and stepped face first into glass. The shocked she received pushed her back and a look of sheer fear and panic took over her face. Oh. No.

This was possibly her worst fear that she only realized she had at this moment. She was trapped with people talking about her outside, even if she couldn't really hear what they were saying. It was so frustrating for Whisper to not be able to defend herself. On top of that, she could see her team in cages. They were so so screwed. She wasn't exactly sure what as going to happen, but she knew the odds were not in her favour. Wisp wanted to bang against the glass, she wanted to break through and tell them it'd be ok, even if it was a blatant lie. She tried so hard to mouth words to her ghouls, words that would probably never reach them. But she had to try. Especially to tell Natalia one last time that she loved her, because she knew this would be her last chance. Tears flowed from her orange eyes. Then a very loud crackle sounded out, and she clapped her hands over her ears. s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t.

The humming noise was not reassuring, and then there was nothing. Nothing at all except extreme pain. It was like every nerve in her body was being cut and assaulted with acids. Like her very being was be shattered apart from its deepest core, and she could feel every atom of FEAR splitting. She could have never imagined anything like this, and would wish it on no one. This was even too severe of a torture for her worst enemy; if she even had one. She was sure that she was emitting blood curdling screams, foaming at the mouth like some rabid dog. Her body would have been contorting in a grotesque manner, but she wasn't sure if she even had a body any more.

And then, for a brief moment, it was like the pain had stopped. Well, dulled, as Wisp felt like she was coming back together. Like she wasn't scattered and lost in a world where pain was her only purpose for existence. She would have breathed a sigh of relief but there was no need for breathing anymore. She was something new, something she seemed to not hate being. in fact, she was completely neutral on the subject of what she was. She could see but only slightly, and the figures before her were strange. Strange in a beautiful way that she seemed to like. Or what she imagined what it would be to like something, but she found it hard to care. The ghoul felt as though she was in her proper place, and easy existence that she had no interest in fighting. Everything had just fallen into place so wonderfully when everything she had been feeling just vanished. The only thing left deep down inside was a clawing sensation to feed...she wasn't sure on what, but when she got it, she would drain whatever it was dry. Even then, she was sure she'd only want more. More...more...more...

Rain was growing tired of blacking out and waking up in new places. Now she was in some kind of see through box, trapped. Some of her teammates were in a similar position and their leader was a bit further away, in some odd contraption that perplexed the zombie. She watched as they neared Whisper and began to hurt her. They were hurting her so badly! Why were they hurting her like this? What had they done to deserve this?

Her eyes burned from the tears she could not shed and she had to force herself to watch. When it was over, Rain finally closed her eyes. She didn't want to believe it -- any of it! This could not be possible, but she had seen it with her own eyes. Whisper had been killed.. or destroyed.. turned? By Jack, Whisper had been turned into a weapon! There was no other explanation for why the item was where the ghoul had been. This didn't make any sense.

Anger flashed in the young zombie's eyes and she clenched her teeth tightly together. If they thought they were proving a point by doing this to Whisper, they were sorely lacking. Her team leader would not die in vain! In fact, Rain would die herself before she gave up any information, not that she even had any real information to give. It was a matter of principle. A matter of pride. A matter of.. something.

"YOU MONSTERS!," she screamed, hitting against the transparent cage, oblivious to the irony of the insult. The cage shook ever so slightly but otherwise seemed impervious to her actions. Never had Rain felt such contempt for another. Never had she felt such rage.. such.. cruelty lurking with her. All she wanted was to get out and get her claws on the hunters that hurt Whisper. She would leave nothing of them. Nothing, and even that didn't feel like it would be enough.

Rain Rottingham was pissed off.

No.

No, this couldn't be happening. It just couldn't.

She watched, horrified, unable to do anything but stare. She wanted to look away but she couldn't, and, well, Whisper deserved at least this much.

She wrapped her arms around herself, shaking, terrified, not even able to cry. This just couldn't be happening.

----------

It had taken Mitzi a moment to figure out what the hissing sound was, and by then it was too late. Not that it would have made a difference if she had realized. "Wait... no..." She had tried to reach out to one of the quickly-blurring ghouls in front of her, but it was too late, and blackness had taken her.

She had woken up in a glass box by herself. The groggy feeling as the drugs left her system was worse than the previous two awakenings, and it had taken her several minutes to start getting her bearings, to sit up, look around, and figure out where she was.

She had recognized her teammates, each in their own cage… except for Whisper. The one person who knew what was going on, their team leader, and she'd been separated out. And somehow, Mitzi had known, even then, that something terrible was about to happen.

----------

They wanted to know the truth. They wanted to know everything.

Mitzi continued shuddering, trying to fight down her panic. There was a knee-jerk reaction to do as they said. The ghoul did not want to die, and certainly not like that. Whisper had said, though… Whisper. Whisper was gone. What would they do without her? She had been the heart and soul of the team.

They could do what she would have wanted them to. She had said that they must say nothing, no matter what.

And as the edge of the horror started to come off, Mitzi felt like she was starting to understand why Whisper had said that. That nothing the ghouls said would get them out of this, all it could do was give their captors information so they could hurt others.

They'll go after Grandfather, and the rest of the family. They'll go after Amityville, and Roch, and Alex and Yin and everyone else. They can't have all just disappeared, not that quickly, they must be somewhere. And if they're alive we can't give them away. Whoever it was that had them captured, if they were willing to do that to Whisper, there was no telling what they wanted to do to everyone else.

She had a duty to her family, and to her school and her friends and all of Halloween. Her grandfather had talked about that duty, occasionally, but she hadn't really understood what it meant until now. There was so much more at risk than themselves. So right at this moment, it meant being willing to sacrifice herself, and her teammates, to protect everyone else.

Her shivers faded, although not completely. She was still scared almost out of her mind, but the key word now was almost. She had something to cling to, something that they couldn't take from her as long as she was still alive. "No," she said softly, "we can't." Her eyes hardened. If she was given a chance, she would reap every one of the humans here for what they had done to Whisper. For what they clearly planned to do to the rest of them. "Whisper said to stay strong. So we have to, for her."

Being knocked out every time they were to be moved was beginning to get a bit old. It was bad enough being caught up in this situation, not knowing what was going to happen, but this was just getting old. Oh lovely... now they were in a even tinier cage. Reaching out only met with resistance and after giving the glass a few swipes with her claws, it was obvious that there wasn't a way to break free. Imryn turned her attention then to making sure that everyone was there, not sure what they would pull next.

Ok, Natalia... Mitzi... Rain... Whisper? Where was their leader...? But why- and then Imryn saw her there in the middle of the room, staring back at the rest of them. It didn't make sense, why single her out? But none of this had made sense from the start. As the person started talking again and making threats, a cold empty feeling started in the pit of her stomach and spread through out the rest of her body. Something was very wrong... so so wrong, and when the machine started up, all she could do was sit there with the others and watch in horror as that thing changed her. Screams echoing through her mind still even after they had stopped and the weapon lay there before them.

It was like something in Imryn had broken, her eyes never leaving the weapon. There was no point to any of it. Senseless violence, and they were the ones being caged and treated like monsters? No amount of threats would make her say a word if it would spare others this type of pain. Whisper had been the first to encourage her, make her feel like she was a part of something other than just another face in the crowd. And no matter what happened, she'd never tell them anything. There might not be any hope left for them, and after this latest display, there was no reason for her to think that they would ever get out of this Jack forsaken place. They had no idea who was still alive and who wasn't... and there was no way she'd risk putting them through that.

For the first time in her life, Imryn wanted blood. Their blood. Not even when she'd been betrayed and broken had she felt this much rage and hatred against someone, replacing the cold fear that was there before. "Such a big mistake... I'll never tell them anything." she mused, grinning evily. "I'd rather die than see more brought in here and watch them disappear too."

The figure in the white cloak sighs and takes out an extremely plain looking eyephone, "I need you down in section A...yeah I know but I figured...yes. Sorry, Sir. No..it's ok, no I can just...okay, Sir." They pocketed the phone with a sigh and glared at the captives. Several minutes later another figure strode in, cause the first to stand straighter and also begin carefully edging away.

"Well, well...you've a long ways to go, trainee, if you can't even successfully interrogate a group of juveniles. How fortunate for you there's no longer any horseman to deal with, nasty bunch." Turning to the cells, he gave them all a toothy grin, "You're all looking quite...healthy, for resistance members. And a bit too coherent for the newly spawned, hm?" He walked over to a set of monitors and trailed his fingers lightly over it's controls, "I think we can have some real fun together, don't you?"

The OOC

Roll 1 d100

1-25:
The door to your cage is opened, but before you can move, a glowing, bladed whip had caught you and pulls you toward the smiling hunter. A red pendant is slipped over your head, and the sensation of compulsion overwhelms you. You find yourself answering question after questions until the pendant begins to sizzle and smoke and then finally burns up, taking you with it.

26-50:
Weakness slams into your body as the door to your cage is opened. The smiling man leans over your body as the world fades to black. Next you're blinking up into a harsh set of lights, a scalpel gleaming overhead. Death is so terribly slow in coming.

51-75:
Weakness slams into your body as the door to your cage is opened. The smiling man leans over your body and places something in your mouth. "Tsk, this one's useless." Death is painful, but brief.

76-100:
The door to your cage opens, and the smiling man holds back, instead letting the trainee deal with you. Through strength, luck, or sheer desperation you defeat the trainee, leaving them broken and bleeding on the floor. The smiling man slowly claps at your victory, and then summons a glowing, bladed whip. When next you awake, you're in the weaponization chamber, your FEAR slowly being pulled apart, the very core of your being adjusted and reordered to suit the needs of the hunters.

One minute Rain was full of such rage, wanting nothing more than to tear into the flesh of the hunters that captured them and killed Whisper. She wanted to taste their blood on her lips, see the pain in their eyes. However, tables had turned and when the door opened, she felt weak. So very weak. The strength left her body, betraying her at the worst possible time. Had it been too long since she had last eaten? Had the rage and violence she felt been too much to handle? So many questions would be left unanswered. One of the hunters were standing over her limp body, half hanging out of the cage. He was smiling! How could something so cruel be capable of smiling? It was her last thought before blacking out.

......

...

She wasn't sure how long she had been out but she knew she was bound to some table the moment the gears in her half-dead brain started working. The lights were so bright, it took several long moments to be able to see what was going on. There was a doctor of some sorts, at least he looked like one. He had the mask, the gloves, the apron.. and the scalpel. All she could do was stare into his eyes and at his face as he began to cut her.

It hurt.

Few things in her unlife had been capable of physically hurting her. Being a zombie, her nerves were damaged, decayed and she was desensitized to most physical and emotional aspects. She couldn't help but wonder how painful this would be for others. She could feel her coagulated blood oozing out of her wounds, could even hear the faint sound as the blood plopped onto the table.

....

..........

She kept weaving in and out of consciousness. When she had come to again, she saw that most of her body had been cut and several limbs had been removed. Her leg was still twitching despite being unattached to her. She watched it briefly before turning back to the man that was hurting her.

How were Mitzi, Natalia and Imryn faring? She hoped with all of her unbeating heart that they had made it out of here somehow. She hoped they did not have to endure what she was going through. She was able to endure so much because she was a zombie. She would not wish this on her worst enemy. No.. that wasn't true. Right now her worst enemy was this hunter, or the one that had killed Whisper and she wanted them to suffer. Suffer as much as any one person could. So many thoughts were rushing into her head, perhaps because she knew she wouldn't be alive for much longer.

.....

.........

...

She never took her eyes off him. At least when she was conscious. She wanted him to know she was not afraid. She wanted him to see that he had not broken her. He would never break her. She had not cried out. She had not pleaded for her life. She had not spoken to him.

She had to be strong.

Her only sadness came when she thought of Shine and her parents. She loved her mom and dad dearly and it pained her to know that she would never see their loving, smiling faces again. Her dad had the goofiest smile from missing most of his teeth and her mom had this warmth about her, despite being undead. She hoped they would be proud of her. She hadn't given in. She had been tough, strong, proud and protective of her friends. She had not betrayed anyone.

Shine made her feel even more sad and that's when Rain was sure she loved that ghoul. No one had ever come close to being equal with her parents and she wished she had more time to think about it. Instead, she thought of Shine's beautiful face. How her eyes would have this sparkle to them whenever she was crying or angry. She would never get to bake her more treats, or be there to keep her safe. Love was such a strong and strange word for Rain but what else could it be? All she wanted to do was be there for Shine. Always just be there for Shine.

Movement jarred her out of her thoughts. The doctor had walked around the table and was now behind her. He was cutting into her head now. His face was upside down as he loomed over her. He looked content, as if he were enjoying his torture of her. Perhaps it was because she had lasted longer than others might have? Or the fact that she hadn't moved, hadn't cried out in pain? Perhaps it was because he was just a cruel person and this came second nature to him. Oh, how nice it would be if he were the one on the table.

She felt a sharp pain in her head before everything went numb. The last thing she saw of the physical world was the light. It had grown brighter, so bright it seemed to take over her eyes and blind her because her world had gone suddenly dark. She could no longer see the man cutting into her. She could still hear him but even that seemed to be fading now. She was scared, for the first time, she was scared. Scared of dying.

....

........

Then she saw her parents standing side by side and somehow Shine was with them. They were waving to her. She felt loved. She felt adored. She felt.. warmth. Such warmth. What was this feeling? How did she get here? Where had she just been? She couldn't remember anything and the warmth was consuming her. It was the most amazing feeling she had ever experienced.

"Mom, Dad, I'm home. Did you miss me?," she asked before beginning to walk over to them. As she neared, Shine blew her a kiss.

......

...........

Her body lay unmoving, cut into a dozen pieces but her face looked serene to any onlooker, and if one were to study her face long enough, they would see the barest hint of a smile.

Rain Rottingham was dead.
