Malodore had had it with just - well, with everything really, and how handy that there was something to kill right there in front of it. The plague doctor's wings flared, and a moment later each hand was bristling with sharp, blade-like feathers. "Leave us alone, you shadowy bastardo, and take anything you might consider friend or kin with you-" It stepped forward and slashed at the beast, sinking an even handful of blades into the thing's side before snapping its other hand forward. The remaining blades flew and embedded themselves into the thing's legs. " Walk away from that, if you can," it snarled. Not a happy plague doctor, no. HP: 34 Damage: 9

Wait a second, why was something hitting her new purple friend?
With a sort of slow, crawling, determination, she moved towards Malodore...
And managed to poke whatever it was feebly with one finger.
((OOC: Damage done: 1 HP remaining: 30/30 ))

"There one is! Just like the one that struck ussss," Jericho snarled before preparing to strike out at it. He did not like its presence. Just as he did not enjoy the presence of the one before it.
It was right about then that he noticed a few more figures in the fog. For a moment, everything shifted to grey all around, and he felt... at ease almost. The sensation was fleeting though. Blinking as it faded off, he soon realized Spectrae and Riley were around as well. They looked to be well, which was good. Very good. It was bad enough that home had been obliterated.
"Are you saying... the horsemen blew up our home.. for the sake of a trial?" he snarled, finally answering Malodore. He wanted his home back.
"We musssst.. do something... Something is not right here. It is wrong. Very wrong."

FFFFFUUUU "Sssshhhhsss..." With a soft murmuring the foggy creature faded away back to the mist where it came from, and nothing could remind about it a moment later.

"And never plague us again," Malodore muttered, then sank down to lean wearily against their rock. Which Spectrae had indeed emerged from. "Buon giorno."
It was so tired, abruptly. So tired.
((Malodore's RPer is also tired and must go to bed but I will reply tomorrow morning to things! And for the record my vote is to talk to the approaching beings about either the Trials or wtf is going on. C: laters!))

There was a creature attacking her Malodore. She came closer, watching carefully, but she made no move to assist. Her head tilted just a touch, and she barely managed to keep from looking at Jericho as he cried out. But she agreed, something was very, very wrong, and she wanted to convey her agreement.
So she simply nodded. And remained silent, while refusing to look directly at Jericho. Instead, her eyes focused keenly on the creature attacking her beloved.

The creature was gone now. Good.
"We mussst do something about all of this.. wrongness. Our home is gone... We want OUR HOME," Jericho growled. His eyes glanced between the three other students here, though he soon glanced away as he spotted some figures in the distance.
"It ssseems we are also not alone.."

Riley followed her friend's glance, and regarded the figures in the distance. She lifted a single claw up, and gestured sharply with it, indicating that she was of the opinion that they should move forward and speak with whoever it was. Her voice remained silent, however.
She reached out, now that Malodore was no longer being attacked, and took it's hand to lead it forward. Spectrae was given a careful glance, before Riley decided to gesture for her to follow as well. If she was going to continue to crop up around them, it was probably better to keep her close, and under watch.
Goosebumps rose against her flesh as the fog tickled at her senses, and she lifted her chest in a contented sigh before waiting for Jericho's opinion.

Jericho continued to growl lowly as he stared at the figures in the distance. He wasn't sure if they were friend or foe. If they were the former, they might know a thing or two. If not... well. Then they would have a fight on their hands.
"Possibly invaders in our home? Or friends? Maybe they know things?"
The dragon took a step back, not sure if he wanted to trust those strangers. The Hunters... They had to have caused this destruction. He was certain of it. They were always wanting to take them from their homes. Maybe that was why things felt wrong. There were intruders.
Shuddering, things slowly ebbed back to being greyscale all around. The fog soothed his nerves. Did it offer him a new home?

Riley's shoulders slumped as he stood there, considering the possibilities instead of taking action. She let Malodore go and started tugging on Jericho, pointing for him to head on over and find out for himself.

Jericho turned to Riley for some sort of input, but he noticed that she was being oddly silent. Furrowing his brow, he stared at her as she pointed over at the strangers.
"Why do you not speak? Is there danger around us? Do we need to be quiet? Wait. That doesn't make sense."
Riley was amazing at private whispers after all.
Something was very. Very wrong.

Riley stopped and turned, focusing on Jericho's eyes because it was easier than looking at any of the bright red of his wings. She gave him a flat, almost amused look, before her hand lifted up to tap one finger against her temple, then pulled her turtleneck down and used the same finger to tap the streak of grey across her neck. She released the turtleneck and waited for him to understand, but as she did, he turned a delightful shade of grey, and her eyes rolled up in pleasure. Only, from his standpoint, he hadn't turned any odd color at all - it was her eyes that had just flashed grey, for a moment.
The moment was peaceful. And then it was gone.

Again, Riley was not speaking. It would have been more concerning, if he didn't feel so lax thanks to the fog right about now. Things had gone grey for him as well, and he felt at peace. At least until it faded off and the color returned. When it did, so did his nerves.
"Tiamat's s**t... This is not good.. everything is wrong. WRONG. Riley cannot speak... If we are lucky perhaps this affliction won't do the same to usssss..." he snarled before looking back to the strangers in the distance.
"We will question them. If they are hostile, we will eliminate them. We will not tolerate any intruders to our HOME."

Junko had gone to bed that night comfy in her own bed, cuddling with her minipets. It was warm, comfortable, and safe. Nothing ever hurt her in her bed. Of course there were loopholes to that such as..if there was no bed. Junko gave a cry as she jumped 'out of bed' at the loud sound, coughing and spitting up whatever had gotten into her mouth from falling off her bed. Wait...where was her bed? Her room. Her minipets. THE SCHOOL?! Where was the school?! "He-hello?" Junko pushed herself up to stand, her long hair hanging limp and dragging along the ground as she stepped away from where her bed should have been. "Seiji? Lizzy? ..Tomoko? Anyone?" Was she alone..?
Another WHAM had her squeaking and skittering back away from the one wall, and then came a snarl. Wide green eyes turned to-- "JERICHO!" She cried, running toward the boil and clinging to him with a whimper. Oh thank Jack! Riley, Malodore and...and...the other ghoul! "Wh-what's going on? Questions? For who--oh...over there?" Junko looked to the two figures off in the distance who seemed to be coming closer and closer. She frowned, clinging tighter to the boil and ducking her head a bit. "I'm not sure I trust them but..okay..." Intruders to their home..where was home?

Malodore swallowed, hard, and reached forward to take Riley's hand in its, yearning for physical contact if it could not have her mental touch. "Va bene, we will address them - but I become more than ever convinced that this is indeed part of our Trial. Look around; the five of us are alone, finding each other and only each other despite the large number of students at Amityville? Can you imagine the odds of such a thing?" It was definitely suspicious. Either it was a truly enormous coincidence, or something was up.
... Now, was it better to try and break through whatever madness had enclosed them, or to play along with what had been so carefully placed for them to somehow perceive? "We should inquire. Their response shall inform our actions," it said, after a moment. It was the only way to know, really.
