In the light of the sun
Is there anyone? Oh, it has begun
Oh dear, you look so lost
Your eyes are red, the tears are shed
This world you must have crossed, you said
You don't know me
And you don't even care, oh yeah
And you said, you don't know me
And you don't wear my chains, oh yeah

Ryoko followed after Sorath as he lead the way. She wasn't sure how much blood she had lost from the wound but knew it had been bleeding all day, ever since she got it in the morning. She had a bandage wrapped around it but figured it must have fallen off when she was about to fall from the bridge. She glanced around at everything as she followed after Sorath. She felt a little dizzy but thought nothing of it.

She looked at the house they came upon. It was so simple but she thought it was very nice. She walked in after Sorath held the door open for her. She glanced around until a woman with a small baby girl in her arms came into view. "I'm Ryoko Joshuya. It's nice to meet you." She bowed politely which didn't turn out too well when she nearly fell forward. She was pretty dizzy and looked at her arm. The white sleeve of her dress was covered in crimson. When did it start to bleed so much? She thought as she stared at it in surprise. Again her vision blurred but it didn't come back into focus this time. All sound seemed to fade far into the background as if it were very distant. She fell to the floor with a dull thud, she didn't even realize she had. The last thing she saw was Surath before her eyes closed.

"I'll be by your side when your sleeping late at night,
I'll take away your tears and your pain.
Someday we'll find a way,
Under the sun on a brighter day,
To be together across the far plane."

Sorath's mom smiled warmly once more and bowed her head politely. "A pleasure to meet you, I'm Lucia...and this is Yumi." She responded nodding to the little girl, happily pulling at her mom's hair, giggling the entire time. Sorath began to open his mouth to speak, as it appeared that they'd be going off topic too quickly if he didn't intervene, but was cut off by a sudden gasp escaping his mothers' lips. His gaze went to Ryoko, figuring that she had seen the blood. It was at that very moment that she had collapsed, Sorath quickly dropped down onto one knee by her side. "Ryoko!" He exclaimed, helpless as she passed out in front of him. It was only then that he saw her arm, the bloodflow was a lot larger than he had expected. "Quick, get her into the living room." Lucia said quickly, she had seen things like this before so she wasn't in too much of a state of panic. With a quick nod, Sor carefully looped Ryoko's good arm over his shoulder, lifting her up before carefully picking her up, supporting her legs with his other arm. Heading into the living room, he sat her carefully onto the couch, soon taking Yumi from his mom as she went to get the first aid kit and some cloth from the kitchen. As calm as Lucia was, Sorath was not. Although his mom had taught him some things about first aid and such, he couldn't help but worry that she might bleed to death.

Soon, Lucia came back with the first aid kit and a teatowel, pulling out a needle and thread.
"Sor I'll need you to clean the wound and apply some pressure whilst I prep this." She said, Sorath nodded again and did as he was instructed, letting Yumi crawl around on the floor for a little while, the child oblivious to any emergency other than the need to find something to play with. As Lucia was busy with that, he looked to Ryoko with both worry and sadness in his eyes, he couldn't possibly imagine what she was going through. The bruise, her attempt to jump off the bridge, now this, it made his stomach sink slightly just thinking about it. Before long, the cut was stitched up and reasonably clean, a new bandage over it for now to make sure no dirt got into it easily. To make sure she wouldn't wake up with too many stiff joints and such, Lucia had Sorath take her up to the spare bedroom, laying her carefully onto the single bed, he opted to stay in the room, sitting on the ground with his back against the wall until she regained conciousness.

Ryoko had no idea what had happened and what was happening. All she saw was darkness, pitch black darkness. She enjoyed it as much as she could, not having to return to reality. She hoped this was death, just pitch black darkness.

After a couple hours Ryoko's hand twitched, then her eyes squeezed shut. Her hand went to the back of her head as she let out a light groan. Her head ached from it hitting the floor. She opened her teal eyes a little as she glanced around the room. Her eyes opened a little more as confusion filled her face. She had no idea where she was but then she spotted Sorath. Relief swept over her as she figured she was still in his house. She tried to sit up but she felt a sting in her arm, her hands automatically grabbing the wound as she laid back down.

Sorath had almost dozed off in his position, having done nothing but sit there waiting. At almost the exact moment his eyelids felt heavy, he heard Ryoko groan, his eyes snapped awake instantly as he got up and walked over to the side of the bed. "Welcome back, you've been out cold for an hour or two." He said gently, knowing that she probably had a headache, talking loudly wouldn't help it. Figuring he needed to explain a little, he nodded to her arm, the wound nearly void of any visible blood. "You must've gone into shock due to the blood loss and passed out. Mom says the sticthes should hold, but you shouldn't make too many sudden movements just in case. How're you feeling?" He asked, offering her a glass of water that had been prepared and idly sitting on the nightstand by the bed, a couple of painkillers as well if necessary. Although Sor was smiling, the look in his eyes made it clear that he was still worried about how she was doing. If she still felt dizzy or sick, he'd know that his mother would insist that she stay longer, but would she really want to? After all, they were still technically just acquaintances, he knew that he'd feel a little awkward staying here if the roles were reversed.

Ryoko sat up a bit more slowly without the use of her arm this time. "...A little dizzy and my head hurts, but I'll be fine....I'm use to it..." She muttered softly. She took the glass from Sorath after a soft "thank you" and took a couple sips before setting it down on the night stand. "What time is it?" She looked up at him then noticed how worried he actually was when she saw his eyes. Needless to say, she was a little confused and surprised since no one was ever worried about her—this was something new.

Colm bit his lip lightly as she responded, he didn't like the sound of that 'I'm used to it' she added at the end. When she asked for the time, he rubbed the back of his head, he remembered vaguely looking at the clock when he first brought her in here. "Let's see...you passed out at around five, so I'd say anywhere between six and seven, give or take." He said, nodding towards the window nearby. The curtains were mostly closed, but there was enough of it open to see that the world outside was almost completely dark, the only light nearby being a street lamp and the moon above. Tentatively, Sor sat on the edge of the bed, offering a gentle smile. "I know we barely know one another, but you are welcome to stay here for the night if you still don't feel too good after a while. Mom's insisting that you at least have something to eat before heading anywhere else." He offered. He knew that, although potentially having to hear protests from Lucia for the rest of the night afterwards, he would understand if she declined the offer. Like he said, they didn't know anything about one another other than by name, was there possibly any reason she had for staying if she felt well enough to go?

Ryoko nodded as she looked out the window as much as she could with the curtains in the way. "I should go home..." No one would be at the house when she got home or they'd be asleep unless her father decided to stay up and wait for her. The thought made her shudder a little, enough for it to be noticeable. "I'll be fine..." Ryoko somewhat assured Sorath. She stood up and took a few steps then realized how dizzy she was. She stumbled forward but made it to the floor before ending up at the wall. She hung her head and sighed before getting up again and forcing herself to the door. It was clear she was having problems and had a hard time walking straight.

Sorath titled his head a little as Ryoko shivered, although wrote it off as just a side-effect from the lack of blood. He wasn't too convinced by her assurance, but it just wasn't in his nature to argue. Watching as she tried making her way to the door, Sor followed quickly and gently placed a hand on her uninjured arm to stop her, he would have to break character for now. "No you won't. It's too risky to go out like this, you should really stay until you've recovered some more." He said, his voice just as gentle as his grasp on her arm. Even though she was a stranger, Sorath was genuinely worried about Ryoko's well being right now, he couldn't just let her off just like that, not when it was entirely possible that she lose balance and walk onto the road or something. He knew she didn't quite care, considering that she had tried to end her life not hours ago, but he did, he didn't want to just sit there knowing he could've stopped her like he was doing so now.

Ryoko winced ever so slightly when Sorath gently grabbed her arm. She looked at him with her usual calm, indifferent expression but she was really very confused and curious. She didn't understand why Sorath cared so much. She was so use to no one caring about her. She sighed as she gave in. "A-Alright..." She agreed in her usual soft tone of voice, and there were two reasons to it. One reason was that she was still dizzy and didn't feel like spamming into anything on the way to the hell she called home. Her second reason was she had no idea where her house was from here.

Sorath gave a small nod, glad that he wouldn't have to go a step further and just pick her up and carry her back to the bed, he doubted either of them wanted that. Carefully, he helped Ryoko back to the bed, mostly just with her balance considering she was actually capable of getting into it herself this time around. Once he was certain she was comfortable, he looked out to the bedroom door. "Are you hungry at all? Thirsty maybe?" He asked, knowing that she hadn't eaten since the two first met, but was ultimately unsure of how long it had really been since she had food in her stomach. There was so much about Ryoko that Sor was curious about. Where she came from, what happened to her eye and arm, why she tried to jump, why she was so hesitant to accept his help. So many questions, yet he couldn't bring himself to ask a single one. Not yet, not when she was still in a state of recovery, and especially not until they got to know one another a bit more, assuming she'd allow him into her life a little more.

Ryoko walked back over to the bed with Sorath's help. Thankfully with his help she didn't run into anything. She got into bed, but was sitting up. She was going to saw no, but then her stomach growled lightly. She hung her head slightly to hide the pink blush that had formed on her cheeks from embarrassment. She hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast. She sighed a little then nodded slightly to his question. "...I'm...not picky..." She mumbled. She wasn't picky when it came to food, she'd eat what she was given without throwing a fit. She picked up the glass of water that was on the bedside table and took a few sips before setting it down again.

As Ryoko's stomach asnwered for her, Sorath had to do all he could to suppress a small chuckle, smiling lightly as she looked away. When she said she wasn't picky, he nodded and headed towards the bedroom door. Once he was in the doorway, he turned his head so he could see her from the corner of his eye. "I'll try not to take too long. If you need anything just yell." He said happily before letting her be to go get her some food. As he entered the kitchen, he couldn't help but wonder whether or not she really wanted this help, or rather would've preferred that he had just kept on walking during the start of this encounter. The thought made his smile fade a bit, but he shook his head quickly as if to fling it out of his mind. "Don't overthink this...just keep telling yourself that you're doing the right thing." He thought to himself as he looked through the cupboards for some bowls and cutlery.

Perhaps ten or so minutes later, Sor returned to the bedroom, he had two bowls with him, one in each hand. In each one was some rice, what appeared to be a beef curry and some mixed vegetables. During all the commotion of todays' events, he himself had forgotten to eat something until now, he smiled at Ryoko once more. "Luckily mom made dinner earlier. If it had to be me I would've burned something somehow. Hope it tastes alright, should still be warm at least." He told Ryoko, handing one of the bowls to her before leaning lightly against the wall beside the bed, gesturing for her to start before him. To say that Sorath was a bad cook was a major understatement, it was basically a guarantee that something was going to go wrong the moment the chef's hat was on him.

Ryoko sighed when Sorath walked out of the room. She stared out the window. She didn't understand why Sorath was helping a complete stranger. She still wished he hadn't stopped her from falling off that bridge. She shook her head, clearing her mind of everything.

She took the bowl after thanking the black haired boy. She took the first bite of the food and was pleasantly surprised. "It's good. I'm use to burnt food, no one in my family can cook except for me." She said as she took another bite, eating a bit slow so she could savor the taste of a good home cooked meal. She looked at Sorath then pulled her legs in so she sat criss-crossed. "You can sit down..." She offered. She didn't want him to stand if he didn't want to, after all he was taking care of her.

Sorath nodded in agreement as he started on his food as well. As he continued, he saw movement from Ryoko in the corner of his eye, causing him to shift his gaze to her once more. When she offered him a seat, he simply smiled lightly and nodded. "Thanks." He said simply as he stepped away from the wall. Sor didn't want to enter her personal bubble too much, so he opted to sit on the edge instead of being on it completely like she was. In all honesty, he wasn't too fussed about whether or not he stood or sat down, but it felt good to get a little pressure off of his feet. From the point between when Sorath said thanks and now, the room fell relatively silent, Sor was very much aware of it. As much as he wanted to talk to this girl, what would he say? He couldn't ask what she was planning to do after finishing school, he doubted she really planned to still be alive at this point. He felt like asking any questions about her family was the wrong way to go, as somewhat hinted to him by the way she declined his offer to walk her to them. They already established how she was feeling, there was no way she had recovered so quickly. All he could really do was sit there silently and eat with her...until...

Lucia almost half burst into the bedroom, Yumi in her arms and her work uniform on, causing Sor to flinch and nearly drop his bowl.
"Sorry dears, but I've got an emergency call from work. Sor could you look after Yumi and make sure she goes to bed on time?" She said, placing the little girl quickly into the lap of her somewhat confused brother. "Uhh yeah, sure." He said, putting his free hand around Yumi's middle so she wouldn't fall off. Lucia nodded a thankyou before turning to Ryoko. "I do apologise for having to run off like this, given the circumstances it was lovely to meet you. Sor's probably already told you but don't make too many sudden moves with that arm for a day or two." With that final word of advice, she was gone from the room, followed shortly by the sound of a car starting and making its way away from the house. Sor was still a little taken off guard by what just transpired, obvious by the the fact that he was still staring at the doorway with a puzzled look whilst Yumi simply sat there looking around the room and babbling every now and again.

Ryoko continued to eat. She glanced at Sorath as he sat down on the edge of the bed and ate. She had the feeling that he had some questions for her, the silence seemed to make it obvious but she wasn't sure if he'd ask or not.

Ryoko was going to say something before the door was forced open, causing her to jump a little. She watched Lucia as she handed the baby girl to Sorath. Ryoko nodded her head, understanding that she couldn't do a whole lot for a couple days. After Lucia left the room Ryoko quickly finished eating and set the bowl on the bedside table. She took the baby girl from her seemingly confused older brother, putting Yumi in her own lap. Ryoko thought it be hard to eat with a baby in your lap as you tried to keep her from falling. She started playing with the little girl, smiling slightly when Yumi giggled or laughed and played along.
