I apologize if I wasn't clear on this, so I'm going to be really blunt. No.

Before you assign any colors or shapes to any character that is not your own, you will ask the other person if it's okay. End of story. Failure to ask will most likely get you warned. It's impolite and it's really just poor RP etiquette. You don't decide things for other characters no matter how trivial it seems.

All my characters have a color and animal/shape associated and I would honestly be very annoyed for you to come along and state something different. I know other people will feel the same way.

If you keep this power, it will require you to talk to and ask other people. I'm not budging on this. Regardless how you maneuver it, if you ever state any colors or animals or shapes about another character, you need to have cleared it with that player first.

You don't know how you feel about people deciding things for their own characters? Really? I apologize if I upset you but if a character belongs to someone they have the right to decide things for them. I can assure you I'm not the only person who would have a problem with you assigning a random color and animal to their character without asking.

I see no reason for you to leave the guild in a huff over a single character's power. Especially when all I'm asking you to do is respect the other players by asking before you decide things about their characters.

I'm not remotely frustrated in any way. I've dealt with much worse than this and not batted an eye (seriously, I really have). However, regardless if I'm being pushy or nitpicky or whatever else, I will stand by this without budging at all. Ayame is a sweet girl--one of the nicest in the guild. But her opinions and feelings about her characters do not represent the feelings and interests of the rest of the guild members.

My job as a crew member is to ensure characters are not over powered, or godmodding. Deciding things - no matter how trivial you may believe them to be - about other characters without asking their players is godmodding whether you like it or not. And while some people might be fine with it, I'm going to insist you respect the players who are not fine with it and not treat it as if it's a personal imposition to you that some players would prefer you not to godmod their own characters. =)

And I wouldn't be leaving because of the power. I;'d be leaving because I only joined to help out a friend(VC) but it seems I'm causing more confusion and work. Despite reading all the rules I still have tons of things that need to change.

It seems nonsensical to ask every single person all that and it's stomping all over their char rights by not asking. But if I get rid of the power that takes away half of the character itself.

And it's not godmodding. I'm not controlling that person's char. It'd be easier if I did that and the people who had problems with the color and such I picked tell me.

Oh, there's something else I forgot to mention that makes this discussion a little pointless =w='

I hadn't planned on actually describing who looked like what. (Like saying Suzume is a neon red birdie.) Just the fact that the power exists. That's how the demon has always seen everything 9double-vision), but I hadn't actually planned on going around labeling everyone in the whole damn school.

Of course her opinion counts. But it doesn't count for other people. It counts for herself. o.O; It may seem like I'm sitting here sipping tea and just typing up responses but I can assure you there are discussions going on elsewhere and I know that Ayame and others agree with me on this. In fact, Ayame literally just posted and said she agrees with me. So...

Deciding things about other characters is godmodding. I'm sorry you don't see it that way. It's not godmodding for your character to have an opinion but yes, it is godmodding to state a fact about them like "their aura is green and looks like a jackalope." I apologize if it seems inconvenient to you but when you have characters who have some sort of insight, that's how you play it. I have a character who has psychic dead people whispering in her ear nonstop. Technically she could (and probably should) know pretty much everything about every character. But before I have her know something, I ask. Why? Because regardless of what her power is, it's the right thing to do.

If you dislike asking people and collaborating, you should avoid powers that give your character insight into other characters. I know I have pretty high RP standards, but this honestly is just common sense for any half-decent RP. And Rosentale is certainly more than "half-decent"

If you're not actually stating these details, it's fine. I never explicitly said this, but I believe I implied it several times because I kept repeating things like "Before you state something...." and what I meant was that if you're going to actually put these details in your post, you have to ask. If you're not putting it in your post, it doesn't matter.
But you cannot make up details about a character (including what their aura is like) and put those details in your post as if it's fact, without clearing it with that player.

Saying "Micah saw Misaki's aura" = fine.

Saying "Micah saw Misaki's red aura that looked like a wolverine and the size made him think she was a very powerful priestess" = not okay unless you ask. [edit just to say--you also, of course, couldn't heavily imply it. Even if you stated vague things like that it was a "warm color" or "small animal" or something--you'd have to check.]


I really apologize if my responses are convoluted or somehow confusing. I'm genuinely not trying to be that way at all.

I really do not have even the slightest problem working out character issues with people. Not at all. The only time I start to have a problem is when one person starts being disrespectful or flinging accusations. (Like having it implied I don't respect a friend's opinion.) As long as we keep it friendly, I'm fine. <3

That kind of thing is fine. The phrasing makes it seem more like his opinion than some super secrety truth he's managed to unveil about something. As long as you keep it to those kinds of observations, the ability will be fine.

Again, I'm not trying to beat up on you and be evil. I just want to ensure there's no drama--for your sake too. I don't want people snarling at you because of his power. And I don't want others to feel their toes are being stepped on. I'm seriously just trying to look after everyone's best interests and keep the RP running smoothly.

So, we'll say this. if he's making general observations like "Misaki seemed mothering" or "Angela gave off the sense of being weirdly angry all the time" or "Sethrian gave off this feeling of being perpetually gloomy" or any of those kinds of things, that's fine. But if you want to get specific for any reason and mention "Misaki's red aura was beautiful and filled with rainbow sparkles of awesomeness" then please confer with the RPer to make sure it's okay first.

Does that seem reasonable?
