& & & & & ( Saraph & Alaisdair & The Raven & GOOP & Ravi & Joey ) (45 --- 32 --- 32 --- 32 --- 42 --- 32 )Saraph watched as the rest of the guilders eagerly and confidently began going up the stairs. Under his hair, he blinked, stiffening a bit as he watched the boulders start coming down. Jumping, he could do quite well on a flat surface. Stairs, however, were a whole other thing. You ever tried getting a Ponyta up some stairs? It was awkward and difficult, and he was sure to be the slowest one going up as he would have to be more precise and delicate with his footing. Sure would hurt to slip off, that was for sure. He chewed on his lip, maybe he could find a way to go up without having to actually climb those?
Joey spat on the ground, "Yer a wussie-boy." he remarked towards the hybrid. Saraph looked down, glaring, though he didn't speak. He was taught to be better then that. "Thinkin' yer some kinda rooster in a hens house, go on n' act all tough. But I ain't never seen no man 'fraid a stairs" He walked forwards, up in front of the team as he headed for the stairs. "Now I don't know 'bout y'all but I'mma go on. Whoever don't feel like rottin' out here, mosey on over with me" Goop let out a coo of delight, being the first and fastest one to follow behind Joey as the Audino took his fist steps up. "Wait for me, brolios!" the cheery as ever Piplup called out, waving a flipper as he ran behind them. This left Alaisdair and Saraph to themselves, as the Oddish rattled slightly.
"I-I..." he gulped, taking a deep breath before looking forwards. "I just..." no, he had to make a choice, now. And so, taking one final deep breath, he began running to catch up to the others, "DIE AS YOU WERE BORN!!!" he cried out, running up and with the others. Saraph blinked, well then he had no choice now. The psychic began taking his first steps forwards, once at the stairs and noticing his companions way up, taking his first careful step.
the first thing he would notice were shards of rock sputtering down at him, pelting his sides. He endured the pain to the best of his ability, clutching the handmade scarf around his neck for comfort as his spindly legs carried him up to the best of their ability. He could hear groans, what was it? The source, soon found, as he found Joey stopped in his tracks and grunting as he held his arm, shards of rock everywhere leaving some scratches here and there. He had gone too far ahead of himself, and by recklessly charging in the way he did, he had almost gotten the whole team hurt. Had it not been for his quick, idiotic thinking of "let me hit the boulder and make it go away", they'd all be feeling the pain.
He grinded his teeth as he carried on, not speaking a word to the hybrid behind him. Screw the team work, it wouldn't overcome their rivalry. Its cool, its not like the world is ending or anything :: :: ✗ Senka :: Louvell :: Fredrick ✗ ✗ 45 :: 32 :: 32 ✗Senka hobbled up the stairs to the best of her ability, her cane tapping against the steps before her feet did. Louvell cast a few glances towards her, and she merely kept her gaze forwards. They had been silent for a good while, and with nothing to say besides the occasional "are you fine?" they remained muted.
"Gee-eee-eez what a downer you all are" Fredrick chimed. Louvell flicked an ear, "We're not downers, you're too upbeat" certainly nobody else would be all sunshine and rainbows as they trekked these stairs. Fredrick yawned, "Well, my Louie, we don't seem to- Yipes!" the gothorita clutched louvells fur as he saw the oncoming boulder, "HOLD ME LOUIE" "arceus not this again"
White Fredrick was busy wetting his skirt, the boulder was smashed by a Dark Pulse, shattering. The stoned rained down on them and hit against their bodies, though it would have been much worse had it been the whole boulder. Senka looked forwards, the blackish purple glow leaving her fingertips as she kept going forwards in silence, robe dragging behind her. Louvell sniffed the rock bits before going on, "Waaait for me~!" Fredrick cried behind them, dainty steps like a dancers as he jumped up abit at each step in an almost playful manner. MANLY MAAAAAN.

ImitiqwertOliverqwertyChuck40/50qwert40/50qwertyui40/50 "If the whole thing about only super-effective attacks working is true, then Imiti, Chuck, you can't do anything against it even with Teleport. Just stay behind me and keep the boulders out of my way." With that Oliver ran at the staircase directly at a first boulder. An aura sphere appeared in his hand and he fired it at the boulder with it, blowing it apart. A Psychic shove from behind him diverted a second one just enough to miss them, and a blue explosion knocked a third one away. A fourth one nearly took Oliver by surprise as it came around the corner. He blasted it to pieces reflexively with another Aura Sphere, but of course that wasn't as good an idea with two teammates to protect and at point-blank range. Chunks of rock flew everywhere, pelting the team and knocking them back. With seemingly impeccable timing another came rolling around, apparently to squash the team while they were down. Without anything in terms of other available options, Imiti poured every last bit of concentration into a psychic surge, lifting the next boulder up and just barely over them. As they got up, Chuck asked "Can we not do that again?"[19 steps]

Orion Orion's only response to the guilds at his back was to promptly ignore them. When the rocks began to fall at an increased rate he shook his head in annoyance. "I don't have time for this!" In quick, rapid movements, the Espeon vanished and reappeared in a teleport behind the Rhyperior at the top. Rather than take out the enemy that stood in their path and hasten the guilds advance, he opted to ditch them instead and slipped by up the next flight of stairs to the next floor.
    Solaris----Tempest---Archer---Raith (50//50) (50//50) (50//50)
"Gr-grandfather!" Solaris squeaked a protest upon watching the old Espeon disappear. He'd...he'd come back for them right? He totally wasn't. He was so ******** gone it wasn't funny. "...I don't think he cares what happens to us?" "Arceus, Solly. It took you this long to realize that? Your grandpa is an asshat. The only reason I haven't nuked his a** myself is because he'd make a good meat shield later." "Tempest!" The Pikachu ignored him, flashing her teeth in a growl. Her amusement regarding the layout of the battle all but forgotten. It was far from as challenging as the game anyways, this would be a cakewalk at this rate. The rocks were surprisingly easy or her to dodge. Her speed was second to none when it came down to it.
"Archer." "What?" The Mewtwo and Garchomp walked side-by-side just near the back of the group. The Psychic cast the larger Pokemon a quick glance of annoyance. Since when was Raith so talkative. "Since we're marching to death. Mind if I ask something that's been bothering me?" The great dragon-shark had dropped to all fours, his large tail swinging steadily from one side of the stairs to the other like a large oar. Any Pokemon foolish enough to walk directly behind him would be smacked right off the staircase. "If you must." The legendary responded with faint interest. Raith was not usually the most entertaining to talk to. Despite his vast age the brute was not very intelligent and tended to ramble on about tedious things, a habit the Mewtwo had found iritating the moment he'd noticed it. "Why'd you do it anyways? Your smarter than that." At this point Archer stopped walking and took a step in front of Raith to stop the Garchomp as well. His face was split between anger and regret before anger quickly took over. "If you are referring to-" "Yes. That." "Then mind your own business." Raith wasn't having that, he glanced up to make sure the rest of the guild members were a fair distance ahead before dropping lower to the ground and hissing at the Mewtwo. "You got me involved. It BECAME my business." "I just asked you to watch them." "That's getting me involved!" "I don't have time for this..." The Mewtwo snapped, repeating Orion's earlier fury. In a rapid teleport Archer was no longer standing with Raith but walking just ahead of Solaris at the front. The Espeon blinked in surprise at this but said nothing. Who was he to questiona legendary...who didn't like him. Man, everyone hates Solaris. ;____;
The Garchomp was left shaking his head in dismay.
   Fiorin---Ivy---Ami (50//50) (50//50) (50//50)
Fiorin trudged along at the back of the group. There was really no need for him to be at the front. Electricity wouldn't do a damn thing against boulders being chucked at them. He considered running to catch up with Era but decided against it. Now wasn't really the time for idle chatter amongst friends.
"You're on!" The Ice type responded to Ver as he took off. She wasn't far behind, her paws carried her swiftly along after the black and white Flareon and past her Uncle at the front. Solaris turned to scold her but she'd already dashed off behind her friend. Sighing he let it be. They might all not make it back after this. Let her have her fun. Trotting next to him Ami glanced once at her father before her gaze lifted back to Ivy's retreating back. Her stomach churned in concern but she silenced it with a quick shake of her head. Even with the tribe at their backs this would be far from an easy fight.

The large Rhyperior stomped its feet angrily as it noted the guilds getting closer. This action prompter a series of giggles from Tempest who had yet to stop thinking plumber and gorilla related thoughts. In its fit of rage the Rock type slung out both arms and began firing stones from the palms of its hands. Or rather....firing Geodude from the palms of its hands. seriously they can ******** do that its weird as hell Holder of the Rock RelicThis one is a bit...different. Rather than attacking you'll be dodging and advancing forward. Once you reach the top it's game over for Mr. Rhyperior, in which case a single shot from a Water/Grass type attack should suffice. 2 100-sided dice are rolled. Just like last time. The first is how many steps you take forward. The second is your dodge roll. Evens - Enemy's Attack Misses. Odds - Enemy's Attack Hits. (If you are hit you take the damage designated by the enemy dice roll) Now, when I say steps forward I mean each roll you keep track of, you add them all together...and after three rounds if it is an even number: You are free to advance. Otherwise you stay behind and keep rolling until it adds up to an even number. -IF YOU ARE HIT, you are automatically bumped back to a odd number. Roll 98. Get hit the same turn. It is then 97. Roll 99. Get hit same turn. It is then 97, because it goes back to the LAST odd number. Are you ready to rock?

Isis + Heimdall + Lilith + Anubis 23/50 + 23/50 + 23/50 + 23/50 Isis just ran forward, still dodging various rocks, "...I think it's getting pissed off." The Jynx's eye's then widened as she dodged the volley of rocks...wait..were those Geodude? She then hoped they didn't know how to self-destruct. That would suck so much.
Lilith nimbly dodged the flying Geodude, which honestly looked odd from a backwards colored Gyarados. She idly wondered what the Geodude thought of being used as living ammo, maybe they were used to it? She then dodged some more as she got closer to her 'mother'.
Heimdall just kept running, since he was so tiny, the Geodude ammo just flew right over him, so he was safe. The rolling boulders were scarier to him, since he could easily be flattened. He didn't even know how much more pain he could handle anyway.
Anubis growled as he leaped up and used one Geodude as a stepping stone and then went from there so that he ended up just behind Lilith. This was getting to be nice exercise, he then looked up, they still seemed to be quite a ways away from the top, so the Riolu hoped someone else would make it up soon. He then sighed, hopefully he'd survive this.
If all else failed Anubis could still use a tonic... But that was only as a last resort. (( Please let me dodge. ;-; Just once. Pleaseeeeee magical dice?

He held his breathe running up the stairs, not wanting to reveal the heavy panting that come up with the constant running. The tepig didn't want to admit it, but dodging falling rocks wasn't all that easy of a task for him and his little legs, and damn did these stairs seem to keep going on forever. Though, choosing to stay quiet made it harder and harder to run up the stairs, it was wearing him out quickly. "Hey, what is that up there that he's throwing?" the fire type slit his eyes, trying to focus on the top of the staircase. Whatever it seemed to be, it almost looked like it was... struggling? And then it hit him. Literally. He stumbled paw, spraying short bursts of fire on the clinging pokemon, throwing himself around. "Get it off me! Get it off!" he wailed! It was a few moments before his prayers were answered. Isanna had rushed over, grabbing the creature with an Ice Fang and whipping it away, sending the small rock pokemon fly off the side of the stairs. Whether it exploded at the bottom like the others, they weren't sure, but it could be assumed. "Are you alright?" she asked a little urgently. "Yeah.. I'm okay." It had gotten a little piece of the entire team.

  Tolin & Charles & Serrin40/50 _ 40/50 _ 40/50
Tolin took the change of attacks with stride as he began slipping past the rocks that were fired down the staircase. These were quite a bit easier to dodge thanks to their smaller size and, perhaps more importantly, much more predictable path. Unlike the much larger boulders they moved in a consistent linear path and stepping around them was easy. There wasn't much to it when it came down to it, not for an experienced set of combatants. A few soft steps to the side, a hop or a shuffle across the terrain was enough to move out of the way and with little thought needed their progression up the stairs was steady and simple.
Two of them, anyways. Charles himself got a little... detoured. Preferring to instead simply reflect the rocks off as they came to him, he was instead caught with a spark of curiousity as he noticed just what was coming at him. His barrier turned inwards and cushioned the impact as one came to rest in his hands. He held the Geodude in front of him, who angrily flailed his arms about and let off loud, annoying grunting noises. Charles couldn't help but giggle. It was firing Geodudes at them! The Mew actually sped up to catch up to Tolin, so enthused was he by the strange discovery that he couldn't help but speak of it. "He's actually shooting Geodudes at us!" Tolin turned to look over at the Mew, obviously confused by the statement and even moreso by the apparent explanation though he maintained his step entirely out of reflex.
"What."
Charles giggled. "It's nonsense, I know! But that's what it is. I can't possibly fathom what possessed his creator to give him such a skill. Why would you ever conceivably need to fire Geodudes of all things?" Charles glanced back at it as he caught the slowly growing glow out of the corner of his eye. Oh, that wasn't good. "Off you go, then." With a flick of his wrist, Charles tossed the Geodude off to the side where it impacted with the wall a ways off and harmlessly exploded, killing itself instantly.
Charles found it hilarious.

     Victor - Harumi - Aiden - Doku - Maxi 37/50 - 37/50 - 37/50 - 37/50 - 37/50
Following Harumi, the group was soon to run up those annoying stairs. Aiden growled to himself a bit as he narrowly dodged a flying ******** Geodude. "Arc'dammit! You'd think for a bunch of powerful Pokemon, they'd build a ******** elevator!" The Umbreon hissed as he ran. Harumi was far ahead, her forehead trickling a bit of blood as she chased behind her older sister.
"I'm alright! Ow..." The Eevee yelled as she galloped up the stairs alongside Skye, only just being able to catch up after taking a rock right to the head. She was a bit shaken up, but her wound was already starting to scab and it wasn't very serious. It was mostly just a scrape that had managed to hit some blood vessels. "Wait up, Skye! You're gonna get hurt if I don't protect you!" Said the Eevee with blood trickling off her nose to the Eevee with not a single scratch on her. Harumi sighed in her mind, hoping she wouldn't have the need to use one of those tonics that the tribe had given out. Sure, saving your life and not dying was awesome, but getting so beaten up that such a thing was necessary kinda sucked.
Doku gently nuzzled Zori as he ran far behind his daughters. He only hoped the two girls were alright. If anything happened to those two, he'd tear down the tower himself. Even if he had to gnaw it down.

♠ Aloura ♥ Lavicus ♣ Crimson ♦
♠ 38/50 ♥ 38/50 ♣ 38/50 ♦ { Paces: 159 } { Tonics: 3x } As far as Lavicus could tell through the decidedly unorganized chaos, a good number of teams seemed to be handling the change of attack quite well. However, be it luck, distraction, or simple lack of skill, team Snow Hushed was not one of them. If anything, the smaller rocks that showered them in relentlessly rounds of leaden precipitation... of moving precipitation. What in Arceus name...?
Those can't possibly... Lavicus started to think incredulously before one of the things that couldn't possibly be but were struck him squarely in the side. The blow wasn't hard enough to fracture any of the snakes numerous ribs, and while Lavicus would certainly be feeling the resulting bruise for days the real impact was not an injury. That title belonged to the realization that the thing that had stuck him possessed arms, a sure sign that it was not, in fact, a rock. It was a pokemon. More specifically, a geodude. That had not been what he was expecting; Hence the shocked stillness that descended upon him amidst all the frantic movement. It that brief moment as Lavicus was jostled about considerably by those rushing by and stuck by smaller shards of rock, (it was only by sheer luck that nothing larger collided with him) he was rendered motionless through stunned stupidity. The pokemon nestled into his side had opened it's eyes and, he could have sworn, grinned at him in a way that was revoltingly hypnotic. Only an instinctive convolution of his body saved him, flinging the freak bullet away and freeing his mind to the task of dancing about a downpour of the rock pokemon's brethren. It was perhaps the most bizarre experience he had ever had as far as dodging exercises went. Frankly, the seviper could not understand why a pokemon would need an ability like this; it was simply aberrant. He was almost equally disgusted as he was bemused, and in neither aspect was he alone.
"These are of pokemon?! Aloura asked with all the appalled shock Lavicus felt. She was favoring a rear paw, indicating that the seviper hadn't been the only one struck. "Geodudes." her partner informed her as an answer, his tone mirroring hers. It was unlikely, though, that she heard him; at that moment, they were forced to dodge to opposite sides of the stairs in order to avoid an oncoming onslaught. The maneuver took Aloura precariously close to the stair's edge and Lavicus into the proximity of a different danger entirely. Crismon.
Looking as battered from the attack as her two team mates, the flygon was taking shelter in a notch along the wall, apparently dredged out by the gouging tool of the enemy attack. That there was a hole craved into the wall large enough to house a flygon was a fact worrying in and of it self- much more of this, Lavicus realized, and the stair case was going to collapse like a house of cards- but equally concerning was the rebellion he saw contaminating the deep blood red of her eyes. There was a wildness there that the serpent had not thought she possessed when he allowed her into their team. If it had been there, he'd thought, it would show itself upon her lovers death- perhaps in the form of her attempting to kill Aloura and himself on the spot. Either the flygon had been in too much shock at the time for the idea to occur to her then, or memories had twisted her mind slowly from within, because it was more than a little obvious that now she wouldn't mind doing the same to them as the rocks had done to the wall.
"Crimson!" Aloura, who had spotted the flygon but not, from her distance, conceived the deadly look in her eyes, called out,"Crimson, please...!" In a horizontal line across the steps, not quite straight for ducking and swerving to avoid projectiles, the absol dashed towards her two team members, her voice guilelessly pleading. If any thing screamed begging for forgiveness, it was the team leaders sapphire eyes at that moment. The flygon would have none of it. She simply gave them a both a long, cold look, her eyes ice to the fire of her skin, before taking to the air again and losing them one again in the fray.
By this time, the seviper was remarkably irked. He had not thought it possible for a grown pokemon to show such a child like lack of propriety. It was bad enough that she was acting this way over the past, but she could not have chosen a worse time to do so Honestly. If she was going to try to kill them, could it not wait until they had slain the enemy threatening all of their lives, including but not limited to her own?

Era & Ethfael & Erinn & Riley & Celus & Avaria & Eon & Irilyss29/50 ~ 29/50 ~ 29/50 ~ 29/50 ~ 29/50 ~ 29/50 ~ 29/50 ~ 29/50 "Never a dull moment, huh?" Erinn muttered to himself as they clambered up the stairs, the Paras lagging somewhat behind the rest of the group. After that last experience with Avaria's attack and the resulting damage the debris did to him, the Bug Type wasn't taking any chances. Nope, he was staying close to the wall and away from where Avaria and now Ethfael too were helping to divert the path of the bolders. So far things had been going better, they'd learned from Ava's initial mistake, but Erinn still wasn't entirely convinced that he'd be safe. The others were alright but he wasn't like them; he was terrified of flying objects. Seriously, he'd rather be locked up in a dark room alone then have things flying at him from every which way, the latter was far more intimidating because then he'd be able to see his death coming for him. Unfortunately, the Rhyperior seemed to pick up on his thoughts and decided to torment the Paras a little more by changing his tactics from large boulders to smaller and more versatile ones. Wait, those weren't stones, those were... "Geodude?!" Erinn said, his voice echoing the disbelief in his eyes. That was ridiculous, how could anyone do that? Was it even physically possible to conjure up other Pokemon to throw? So caught up was he in the whole absurdity of it all that Erinn didn't notice his Team pulling ahead of him now that he'd stopped moving, nor the Mew that tossed a Geodude to the side, not paying any attention to where he threw it, nor the fact that said Geodude was now headed straight for him. Erinn flailed back as the airborne Rock Type flew in front of his face and cringed at thepain that ripped through him from the resulting explosion that the Pokemon created. Lesson learned, Erinn hurried forward to catch up with his group, trying to ignore the flying projectiles that were absolutely everywhere around and above him.
When Erinn did catch up with the rest of the Team it wasn't the prettiest of sights. They'd encountered a bit of trouble it seemed, for now that the pattern had changed Avaria and Ethfael were having difficulty batting away the smaller rocks. As such more and more hits were taken and now the angry Team was facing off with a group of equally irritated Geodude. "Fancy seeing you here," Riley said offhandedly as the Paras rushed up, gasping for breath as he stood beside the Eevee. In another moment the Normal Type was gone from Erinn's side as he leaped forward in a Quick Attack, knocking one of the Geodude off the edge of the stairs where it fell to the bottom with a muted explosion. The rest of the Team were dealing with its companions, Era and Eon dealing with one, Avaria and Celus sending Grass Attacks amidst the opposing ranks, Irilyss fending off a few with a weak Psychic barrier, and Ethfael shooting down any others that were being fired through the air their way. It was a rather hectic and unexpected fight, but they were caught up in the middle of it nonetheless. It's what happens when the enemy decides it's going to make your life difficult by throwing mini-battles at you.
In the end the Team managed to fend the Rock Type's off, leaving a pile of rocks on the ground behind them where Geodude had once been. Their work was somewhat time-consuming though, putting them at the end of the group and slower than ever. Someone didn't want them to get through this easily at all, and signs of their wear were showing. Irilyss grimaced as she hurried after the others, her leg smarting again as she began to feel the pain return, that Espeon's Morning Sun seeming very far away now. Celus gasped for breath, keeping up with the others with visible effort, Avaria beside him and encouraging him to go on, the Shaymin looking somewhat fatigued but not nearly as worn as the others of the Team. Erinn tagged along behind Riley, who was trudging along with a look of dark determination on his face and his cape streaming behind him looking somewhat ragged at the end; the Paras himself just looked pale as a ghost. Era and Eon bounded onward up the staircase on all fours, matching stride as they struggled to keep pace with the others of the Guild, and Ethfael went ahead of them all, taking it upon himself to hit Geodude after Geodude out of the way of his Team. Together they continued up the stairs making their way slowly but surely close to the Rhyperior.

Ailleen was slowly guiding her team up the stairs. The progress was slow compared to some of the other teams, but they seemed to be ahead of most of the other teams. Emily was having some difficulties with Lily in the dodging rocks department. Ailleen thought back. Dear Arceus please let us survive. From the furtive glances at the pinnacle of the stairs, they would be fighting a Rhyperior. That would be s*** for Ailleen. One attack would lob her into death, or into the next millinium, which ever came first.
Ailleen motioned to her team as a boulder hurtled down the stairs. Emily had learned most of the signals, and could instruct Lily before they got smashed into oblivion. Ailleen sighed, the process was taking ages, and she was tiring. Emily was panting, and if Lily had the mental compacity, she would be sighing. Though, if Lily had any mental compacity, she would be able to dodge boulders by herself, and the team wouldn't be as worn out. Emily guided Lily to the wall as the boulder passed, and they continued forward.
Emily stumbled, and Lily lunged forward to drag her out of the path of another boulder. Both Emily and Ailleen looked at Lily with utter shock. The Dratini had continued playing with pebbles on the steps, perfectly content, as if she hadn't just saved her comrad from death-by-boulder. Ailleen looked at Emily, and the two shared a confused glance. With a duo-sigh, the two continued up the stairs. Lily continued up the stairs happy as ever.
