"No, no," the stallion lied, "I didn't take it off for you. You see, it makes breathing rather difficult, and I was beginning to feel faint. One can only take so much at a time. Usually, I have a little fox who can help me get it back onto my face and make it appear as if it were clasped." Wallace chuckled at the mare poking fun of his Kalona blood. It was refreshing.
The stallion looked back at his colors and grinned. "You know, in the summertime, when everything is bright green and fresh, they can actually help me to blend into a clear grassy meadow if there's a tree placed just right. In fact, it's actually the beautifully clean white mane that gives me away. How can someone miss something of such glory?" It had been ages since the half-blood had been able to make jokes with others. Everybody else seemed to be too afraid to upset him, but he could be gentle if he wanted. Though looking at the white hair stuck to his neck and chest, it seemed nearly translucent. Oh well, she'd figure it out.
A misplaced warm smile crossed Wallace's face. They didn't come naturally to the beast. "Well what about Miss Eury," he teased, "Surely that'd be an acceptable compromise."

Eury raised her eyebrow, thinking that she was at least probably part of the reason why he removed the contraption, yet felt it was useless to argue. Even if he had stripped his face of it for her, he was a male and if she called him out on it she knew he would just refuse all the more profusely. "Well it's a good thing that you removed it then. What would you have done if you had fainted? What with me following you around and all, I could've just torn you to pieces had you been lying helplessly on the ground." Her tone was nonchalant, as if she threatened Kalonas all the time. Her focused changed as he mentioned the familiar who may be able to help them.
"Do you know where the fox is? If we found him you could get the muzzle back on and not risk getting in trouble with the two-legger." Eury wondered if the fox were his companion or belonged to another in his teepee, thinking of the possible scenarios. It seemed like a decent thought to find the fox if it would prevent the stallion from having a more difficult device attached to his face. Yes... they might want to seek out the help of the fox... later though. She was enjoying hearing the stallion and his witty comments.
Eury was honestly mesmerized by the handsomeness of the stallion; his mane was perfect and his coat was so intricate and unique she couldn't help allowing her crimson eyes to examine it. "It's difficult imagining you blending in when you seem to stand out so much." The mare looked down at her dark coat, the only thing she would blend in with was the darkness and even then her white patches from her pinto blood might give her away.
She gave an exasperated sigh, as if she were irritated by the stallion's compromise. "Only if you insist." Eury feigned annoyance, but she couldn't maintain the demeanor and burst out in a laugh. It didn't really much matter what he choose to call her, she was just glad to be able to confabulate with another; it had been so long since she had enjoyed the company of someone new who she happened to encounter.
