then speak like a gentleman... "There's no time for that," Gray said. "We're going after her." He looked at Severin for a long moment. The other man was ashen and trembling. Gray grabbed his shoulders. "Whatever is down there, I'm going to need your help. So don't go freaking out on me. This wasn't your fault--Chea was determined to go down there alone and there wasn't anything either of us could do to stop her. I had a golem watching her, and another ready to track her and I still didn't make it on time."
"If my theory is correct, she's probably not going to die just from something like this. So focus. I'm going to make some stairs for us to get down there."
He released Severin and bent down to clear the snow from a small patch of ground a short distance away. Using a wet stick, he drew some rough symbols on the ground. "I'll try to harden the earth up a bit when I do this, but it's going to be a bit precarious," he told Severin. "But we should be able to get down there alright." He closed his eyes, set his hands on either side of the circle and focused. He would need to draw materials from over a wide area so as not to cause a sink and to ensure they were strong enough. It took a lot of effort to do that, and to use the chemicals present in the dirt--which he was only sort of guessing at based on past experience. The ground shook slightly, and there was a low grumble of shifting earth and crumbling rocks as the rough stairs slowly formed out from the side of the cliff.
By the time they were fully formed, Gray was feeling a little woozy. But he was still able to stagger to his feet, so he would be okay. "Let's head down. This could be the opening of the caverns, so be on your guard."

 Silveril Volce ________________________"I figured that the mountains would be a common place for hawklings to nest. As for my kind, we tend to live valleys so the mountains can block the sun as we attempt to sleep." Silveril answered. "I'm not stranger to mountains since I've wandered around on one through most of my youth." He felt very much at home here, except the snow made this mountain better than home.
Silveril wasn't wearing a jacket and just had a collared shirt and a vest like usual. He didn't have anything to give her at the moment. Silveril frowned. "Well, do take care. It would be a shame if you caught a cold during the field trip." Silveril said to her. "If you get cold, please tell me. We will turn around and head back to the lodge." ________________________

But she's just to hard headed
"Oh im fine for now!" She replied with a smile as she looked up at him. She was a good few inches shorter than Silveril. "Ive actually..... never met any other hawkling... id like to someday but... it would be very dangerous to travel to the mountains. I wouldn't want to lead any hunters to any of the villages that may possibly be remaining."Keina then thought back to her infancy. Her memory, was superior to most people's, but she still forgot things. An image of her mother passed through her mind and her heart got a bit achy. But, she smiled through it. "So, if you are in the sun you won't turn into a sparkly disco ball will you?" She asked. It was her sad little attempt at making a joke. She really wanted to see him smile.

 Severin Novaire "Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."________________________Severin closed his eyes and tried to calm down. Gray was right. He couldn't be panicking right now even though he wanted to panic. He had to get himself together.
"Alright. And if there's any need of light I know how to use magic so some fire won't be that hard to make." Severin said, but being the pessimist that he was, he was doubtful that Chea could have survived the fall. She seemed human to him so it was hard to tell if she was of another creature or not. But maybe she could be a monster-type creature that Severin didn't know about.
But ever since coming to this school, Severin's closest companions ended up being monsters. Severin tried not to let his fear get to him as he started to step down the questionable stairs. ________________________ "The beauty of it is that literature never hits me if I misunderstand. "

Silveril Volce ________________________Hawklings were very interesting and beautiful creatures. Silveril hoped that Rosentale Academy would be able to send their message to the world about acceptance. Perhaps hunting down hawklings would be made illegal if enough people cared. But it seemed like a dream far in the future.
Silveril snorted at Keina's remark about being a sparkly disco ball. "If only it would be that nice. I'd rather sparkle than die. I don't even burst to flames. I just become to corrode into ashes at an alarming rate. It's painful and vampire regeneration takes years, but it could be sped up with blood intake." Silveril answered with an amused smile. "Ah, but Professor Sinclair has been making potions for me to keep the sun from infecting me so I should be fine out in the sun." ________________________

There it was! She saw it! Keina actually saw it! Silveril was smiling. The woman wanted to do a fist pump but somehow refrained herself from doing so. She merely smiled in response. "Thats great. Its always great to hear that there are people out there who are willing to help other races....."
"I really wish something would be done about my race though... really.... killing our kind is illegal but.... our feathers are worth a fortune on the black market. People use them to make clothes or fancy accessories for rich people...."

then speak like a gentleman..."That would be helpful," Gray said, starting down after Severin. "Have you, um, talked her anymore about her situation? I don't know if she mentioned to you that she managed to translate the inscriptions. One was the word dragon. The other two were the name Colleen, and the word Deity."
"It seems a bit far fetched at a glance, but then, given some of the people I've met recently, I'm not sure. I was considering the possibility that she has connections to some kind of dragon deity. A descendant, perhaps. If that's the case, she may not be quite as helpless as she looks."

Silveril Volce ________________________"So it really is illegal? To think that it still has gotten pretty bad despite the rules against it. It's frustrating." Silveril said with a frown. Well, it was more than frustrating for Keina. Probably terrifying. Silveril knew that his sympathy was lacking since he was never really one for expressing his emotions.

"Yeah..... a lot of people ask why the hawkling just don't give people some of their feathers. But it's all a matter of culture and pride. Feathers can mean all sorts of different things to a hawkling. When one of us gives someone one of our feathers it is often a sign of gratitude or affection." She explained. "But the ones in my hair have a completely different meaning. Male hawkling often wear feathers in their hair to show off their hunting skills. The more powerful the bird the feather came from the more status the hunter will receive. It's also a method of finding a life mate.... females are often attracted to men who have feathers in their hair."
"Sometime females wear them too though, like myself. I do it as a symbol of devotion to my culture. It helps me feel close to my roots even though I am so far away....."Keina then realized that she had been talking quite a bit. She blushed from embarrassment and turned her gaze to the ground, "Sorry for rambling...."(lol, it's okay! )

He was only able to help her find out about the mystic caverns and the whole legend about dragons, but after that there was some drama... and then they started avoiding each other. Better not to think about it now or he'll start beating himself up again.
"Alright. I'll keep that in mind. Let's go find her and give her a good scolding." Severin said, frowning.

Silveril Volce ________________________Silveril listened carefully to Keina. When it came to the culture of other creatures, he was highly interested in it and he was taking to note pretty much everything she was saying. The differences between the male and the females uses of the feathers were certainly something he never thought of. When she mentioned the meaning of the feathers, he thought it applied to all, but it seemed as though there was more to it than just a generic meaning. It got Silveril thinking a bit.
Then suddenly Keina seemed to get embarrassed. Silveril couldn't help but smile.
"You're fine." Silveril said to her. "I'm not much of a conversationalist and I prefer to listen to people speak. What you told me was certainly very interesting. I never knew that feathers could hold such meaning." ________________________

She peeked up at him sheepishly, "Heh..... you like learning about other cultures, don't you?" She asked as she smiled a bit. The woman was certainly glad that Silveril didn't mind listening to her ramble on and on. Keina could go on for hours about her culture, and maybe even teach Silveril some of the hawkling native language. It wasn't that difficult of a language to learn.

Silveril Volce ________________________"Yes, it was the whole reason I left my family to come to Rosentale. I've given up on blood for sustenance just so I could be with people." Silveril answered. Well, it would be nice if he could mingle with people naturally, but he had issues with that. He was content with just watching for now.
"But I've been finding more than just culture interesting. As I've watched my students, their distinct personalities have been amusing to watch as well." Silveril answered. ________________________

"I bet. There are certainly some very interesting students at the school.... and they all seem pretty accident prone as well. The infirmary is always buzzing..." She said as she rubbed her bare arms. She was starting to get cold. Not to mention that it would probably be dark soon, so the temperature was dropping. "Maybe we should head back inside now? Or I should at least. it's freezing out here," she stated as she began shivering. (Just trying to wrap these guys up before I head off to bed ^_^ )

Silveril Volce ________________________Silveril had to agree with Keina's words. He worried about the foursome in his fifth period class very often. Veith and Sethrian alone were fine, but Louis and Kamil were disastrous together. His fourth period class was much more calmer. Misaki, Angela, and even little Aerin seemed to know what they were doing. Although Solin was a student that Silveril had yet to get to know but he seemed like a reasonable guy. But he did observe that Misaki did not like him very much and he had yet to figure out why.
"I'll walk you back." Silveril said to Keina. "Thank you for accompanying me. It was quite pleasant chatting with you." ________________________
