The Cave of FIAH
Oh great, this looked like fun. Stupid fire cave . . . Aksaja was really wishing right now that some of the other courses weren't shut down at the moment because of the rain. He would have really preferred something at least outside, or where he was allowed to use his wings. Oh well. With a sigh, the lightning dragon frowned at the hot coals in front of him, then took off sprinting.
Okay, this wasn't so bad, if he just moved fast and . . . . why did something smell like it was burning? Glancing down, he yelped upon seeing fire creeping up his pants. Oh Jacking hell. He could feel the heat on his skin as well, blisters forming and skin splitting . . .
And with a cry, he launched himself up off the coals as high as he could without hitting the ceiling of the cave, wings working frantically as he sort of half-flew, half-jumped past the coals - and he actually hit the ceiling a few times too. "Sorry guys," he murmured, teeth gritted, as he limped off toward the infirmary.

Snow Dash!
Or that's what it was called. Roch stared at the expanse of snow, thinking of his experience with the three bears, and shrugged, heading for that one. There was no mountain, no evil bears to whack, just some running. He was good with that!
Besides, the sooner he got this over with, he thought as he shoved his soaking wet hair out of his face, the sooner he could go home, soak in the hot springs, and fix his jackin' hair.
He really hated the rain.
"Did you know that certain body fluids can double as hair gel?" the annoying lepus in his backpack asked.
"Shuddup."

Snow Dash!Quote: As soon as you run too far ahead, you hear an ominous crackling noise. You have wandered right onto thin ice. And it breaks. ROUND 1 – 1d12 (7) 5-12 – You leap forward to safety and solid ground. Not today, ice. Not today. You obtain one flag Roch stretched, staring at the expanse of snow in front of him, a slight frown on his face. After a second of thought he crouched down, lacing his combat boots all the way up. Thankfully, after all those trips up the mountain to face off with bears he was somewhat experienced on snow. Without wearing pants, even. Jack he hoped he got to keep his pants this time. People were WATCHING! He started forward at a run, gritting his teeth as he heard the crackling noise. He felt the ground underneath him start to give, and leaped forward, not even glancing back as he hit solid ground. His hand shot out, grabbing the flag there, and he shoved it into his pocket, heading forward. Snow Dash!Quote: ROUND 2 – 1d12 (9) The next part of the course doesn’t look like it holds any nasty surprises. It’s just snow. Which turns out to be worse than you could imagine, when you begin sinking into a deep snowdrift. 7-12 – Fortunately, the sinking stops around your knees. Guess it wasn’t that deep. What a scare! You obtain one flag Roch's best thought right now? Even though his hair was fallen, even though he really wasn't that great in the cold (better now than he had been during the whole snowglobe thing, of course) the best--absolute best part about this course was that there was no Teddy-weddy to be seen. He seriously had a teddy bear complex, it was something he was rather ashamed about, but-- Well Teddy-weddy wasn't here, was he? He took another step forward, his eyes widening as his foot started to sink into the snow--then hit ground when the snow was up to his knee. His pants were going to be soaked, sure, but he still had them. That was why there was a tiny little grin on his face as he sludged through the heavy snow and grabbed a second flag. It might have seemed strange to onlookers--but they didn't lose pants on a regular basis like he did! Snow Dash!Quote: ROUND 3 – 1d12 It’s the home stretch now. You’re so close to the finish, you can see it. But there’s a rumble behind you. And it’s getting louder. And louder. One look behind you and you know if you’re going to win, you have to OUTRUN AN AVALANCHE! 1-8 – You are simply not fast enough. The wave of snow sweeps you off your feet and quickly back to the beginning of the course. GAME OVER. 9-10 – Somehow, you cross the finish line just as the avalanche hits the place you used to be, but you miss one flag You obtain one flag 11-12– Somehow, you cross the finish line just as the avalanche hits the place you used to be, and grab BOTH FLAGS. You obtain two flags! The rumble caught his ear. Roch cursed, knowing he had to outrun it--but it was coming fast and his foot slipped just as he was about to use his shadowstep. He glanced around quickly, and like the sneaky son of a witch that he was, moved to a large rock, letting it take the brunt of the snow thanks to his beginner stealth ability. He was jackin' gonna ACE this route, avalanche or not! Rikki peered through the rain that was occasionally whipped sideways by gusts of wind. This s**t was cray. They were expected to actually work in these conditions? Still, he could see that there was a rock climbing course up ahead, and having some success with climbing courses before, he decided that was where he would start. OBSTACLE COURSE: ROCK CLIMBING ROCK CLIMBINGGGGGTask: You’ve been tasked to climb to the top of a very rugged looking cliff. Close to the top you can see several ominous dark shapes flying about. Birds, maybe? Mechanics:- You need to obtain all four flags, one from each obstacle. - If you hit any of the FAILS, its an instant game over! OBSTACLE ONE: The rocks are sharp and hard to hold onto without hurting yourself... Roll an 8 sided dice1, 8– You mis-grab onto a rock and go tumbling down again. Oops! (FAIL) 2-7- You manage to keep a good grip on them and continue on. You obtain your first flag OBSTACLE TWO: Something shakes the side of the cliff with a lot of force. Looking up, you see rocks tumbling down at you! Roll an 8 sided dice1, 4, 8 – ROCKS. ROCKS EVERYWHERE! You get pelted back down again. Ouch! (FAIL) 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 - You manage to guard yourself from the falling stone and continue on. You obtain your second flag!OBSTACLE THREE: After climbing for a while, you put your hand onto a ledge and feel something rough rub against your hand. Looking up, you realize you’ve climbed right into the nesting ground of a lot of angry looking bird-dragon hybrids. Roll an 8 sided diceEven – AUGH, THEY’RE EVERYWHERE, PECKING YOU, BITING, PAIN!!! You accidentally let go to get them off of you. The good news is they’re leaving you alone. The bad news is you’re probably going to hurt more from the fall. (FAIL) Odd – You get away with minimal bleeding, albeit your hands do get nipped at when they get too close to any of the nests. You obtain your third flag. OBSTACLE FOUR: You’ve been climbing for a while. You’re tired, you’re bruised from rocks, you can’t feel your hands because of the rough rocks, you’re bleeding from being pecked at by angry nesting reptavians. And now? Your arms are starting to shake and climbing is getting more difficult. Roll an 8 sided dice1-5 – Exhaustion overtakes you and you find a small ledge to rest on. However, while resting the ledge suddenly shifts. Hmm? It cracks and both you and it tumble downwards onto the people climbing below you. Guess you know where those rocks came from now. (FAIL) 6-8 – You keep climbing despite the obstacle of pain and fatigue and make it to the top. You obtain the last flag! You can now go home/ to the infirmary peacefully! BONUS MECHANICS:- If your student CAN FLY, FLOAT OR LEVITATE Natural/ Fear ability or in natural form they can fly, you get ONE BONUS SAVE. That means instead of failing instantly, you can reroll again for the first time you roll a fail. - If your student has the learned ability BEGINNER SPEED BOOST, you get to skip the first obstacle roll and instantly obtain the flag Rock Climbing

Rock Climbing
Rikki furrowed his brows and examined the rocks closest to his level before he even began the course. They were jagged and a little terrifying, and he knew there was a strong possibility of cutting himself if he didn't protect himself with gloves or something. Unfortunately, gloves had not been on his list of things to bring (not much to about nothing had been) so he made due with what he had. He pulled his chains tight and wrapped the ends around his hands. The remaining length between left decent room to climb with, but it was still difficult.
In the end, he made it to the first flag without tearing himself up, and he collected it with a sigh of relief.

Rock Climbing
Rikki didn't have a lot of time to celebrate his bit of victory with the first flag. Almost immediately everything began to shake, and he wondered if this is what a halloweenquake felt like. He glanced around as it didn't seem to subside quickly enough for him (that is to say, in about a half a second) and realized the result was not a quake but a herd of angry rocks hurtling toward him. He let out a squeal that he would later deny and pressed his body as close to the wall of the cliff as he could, wishing he could make himself flat. He didn't trust himself to shadow step for fear of falling.
Somehow he made it out of the tumble with minor bruising on his shoulders and a small lump on his head, and he shimmied quickly up to the second flag. There was no relief this time, as he was hoping nothing bad would happen.
((OOC: Day: 1 Student name: Nyyrikki OBSTACLE NUMBER: 2 FLAGS OBTAINED: 2 WEATHER MECHANICS: Again, nothing is affecting Rikki. BONUS MECHANICS: If applying any bonus mechanics, only need to mention on that particular post where mechanic is being used. Rp out as needed. ))

Rock Climbing
Rikki continued up until he found himself in a rough patch. He needed to reach way up to a ledge, but the boundary the chains were giving him said no dice. He grunted as he tried to stretch the chains just a little further, even letting loose a little more slack, and his fingers brushed the edge and just beyond... which felt scaley and feathery and gross. Just as he dreaded knowing what he touched an incredible screech filled the air and he was being pecked and battered by so many things he couldn't tell what they were.
By the time he fended them off and arrived to the third flag with a stray piece of down hanging from his lip, he'd determined he hated feathers. Still, his hand closed around the flag and he felt hopeful that he might finish this course.

Rock Climbing
He knew he was nearing the end, and still he could barely stand the fatigue that made his arms shake uncontrollably as he lifted himself up agonizing bit by agonizing bit. He ground his teeth, he called out with the pain became sharp, he made any noise he thought would make it more bearable and it didn't work. In the end it was seeing how close the final flag was they kept him going. A couple yards. A couple feet. A couple inches.
He snatched the flag and let out such a deep sigh he had to rest his head against the rock before he could finally make it to the finish. This. Had. Sucked.

“Don't worry about it,” Edel told Aksaja, frowning a little worriedly at the state he was in. Knowing her, she wouldn't have done any better. Or even make it through alive at all. “Rest well and get yourself fixed up good. And well done you guys,” she grinned at the other two boils that have made it back with four flags apiece. Day one was going rather well it seems. Except for the rain and the weather.
Edel wondered for a moment if she could sneak off back to the ice road course to relax for a bit.
“Did you know that I am green when I am blue?”
Edel looked at the lepus and then at the boils. :l
