Yeah, in hindsight he knew it sucked that they hadn't managed to keep their castle standing during the trial of Famine, but plenty of other teams hadn't either. That was what West had repeated to himself all the way back to Amityville that day and every day since. It kept him from flying into a rage, at least it had so far. Yay!
Anyway, he mused as he straightened his windbreaker and hefted his nearly empty pack, sandcastles? Really? The demon had come to realize between angry thoughts regarding crabs, tsunamis and tentacles, that there was really only one Horseman's trial that he was looking forward to and it was this one right here. War.
West practically bounced with excitement as he stepped back through the portal and into the human world, but his good humor quickly faded once he was thoroughly soaked by the pounding rain less than a minute later.
Without warning, a lepus guide was shoved into his bag and West was directed toward the lake.

Worth the change? Grasping at her bare arms, it was decided so. Removing her back pack from one arm, she took off her skull pin, gaining in tail and losing both legs. She was already feeling much better by comparison. That was until something decided to chuck a snowball at her. Right between the eyes. Nice shot.HISSSSSSSS~ WHOSSSSSsss THAR~No answer was given, just the whistle of the wind and pattering of the rain. Someone was out there it seemed; if Levi got a hold of them, they'd get more than a pile of snow smashed against their face. Wrinkling her nose, Levi shook off the bits of snowball. THE WATER LAKE
As soon as West got to the end of the pier, a bored gnome shoved a handful of thin wooden strips at him, along with a quart-sized plastic baggie full of glitter and a bright pink ribbon. The gnome then gestured toward the boxes. More... supplies, plus some stuff West presumed was supposed to help him breathe underwater. His suspicions were confirmed when a lanky zombie boil emerged from the lake to his left, clutching a perfectly woven basket in his rotted hands.
West's lepus guide scrambled out of his pack and perched on his shoulder, leaning forward curiously but remaining silent. A moment later the animal was soaked, its little green ears drooping off to either side of its head. The demon expected it to say something, but it just gave him an expectant look, its red eyes wide and unblinking despite the rainwater running into them.
With a shrug and a scoff, West grabbed an air tank and some useful looking hoses out of the second crate. After a bit of guesswork involving where they should go, both the boil and his temporary minipet were ready for some serious underwater basket weaving.
"Hold on," he advised. Without any hesitation, West jogged forward and jumped as far as he could out into the lake. Why wait? It wasn't like he could get any more waterlogged.

At one point, the wind blew so ferociously, it threatened to push her right up into the air and into the icicles that decorated it. Hissing, Levi was at a standstill. THE WATER LAKE
Once he was sure he had hooked up his air tank correctly and had made it past the touchy-feely vines and overgrown plants, West swam down to the silty bottom of the shallows and stuck his foot into a particularly tangled nest of reeds, hoping that they would prevent him from bobbing to the surface. He spread the strips of wood out in the water in front of him, squinting at them through his murky goggles. His lepus guide swam out in front of him and grabbed all of the strips at the bottom, fanning them out to make them easier to see. West nodded and selected two of them.
He stared at his project, unsure of what to do until he picked up a third strip. West slowly began to weave them together, picking up speed as he went. He had never tried weaving and had no idea why he was so good at it, but soon he had a finished basket that rivaled that zombie's in every way. No, it surpassed it.
With an unnecessary flourish, West ripped open his bag of glitter and watched as it spread through the water in front of him. He then dragged his basket through the shimmering cloud, distributing rainbow herpes evenly over his entire creation. The lepus swam forward with his bow, tying it neatly to the basket's handle. West jerked his thumb upwards and 1/4 of Team Boss began to swim for the surface.
Each member of a nearby pack of doomfish shed a single tear.

He was nearly there. West could see the inverted splashes that the raindrops made on the surface as he swam toward it. Just a few more strok--
What was that?
A thin screeching sound somehow reached West's ears through the water. He turned, but by the time he could identify the source of the noise, they were already on him, bombarding his legs and ankles with bites and scaly slaps. He kicked and punched at the villainous sea life, his lepus guide joining in on the attack, until eventually the school of shrieking death was disbursed.

THE WATER LAKE
Once the menacing fish had fled, West confidently pulled his arms back through the water, kicking a couple of times before he realized that he wasn't going anywhere. Something had a hold of his feet. Several somethings. They were... biting him. He didn't feel so hot all of a sudden.
West woke up in the infirmary a short time later, his helpful lepus perched on his chest.
"Did you know that my name is Emae?" a distinctly female voice piped. Apparently, his guide was a ghoul.

The flags were safe and Levi pressed on. A surprisingly strong gust of wind lifted the writhing and hissing tatzel clear off of her path and back to... ...the beginning. DANGIT. She rubbed at her head, the body part that she'd luckily fallen on.
