While her boilfriend may have been grumpy about the rain, LW was quite the opposite. Mostly. It was a little annoying. But nothing she couldn't brush off (in theory) and ignore. Except for the mild chill. And the heavy feeling her tail got when soaked with water. Every time she tried to wag it or flick it from side to side it was like a mini wave rolled off her tail. She gave Ren a pat on the shoulder, trying not to snicker at the loud 'splat' her hand made thanks to the rain.
"Think of it as one big shower." She offered, trying to cheer him up a little. And not laugh. "I know you don't whine about the shower."
LW was also positive by now that her brothers and father were here watching the Trials. They'd made sure she knew. And not just by being loud and obnoxious while cheering for their team. There had been the texts (from each of them) and signs held up too.
She shivered a little, eying the courses and her teammates. Well, since the boils had all chosen...
"Guess I'll take this course then?" The she-wolf shook, dislodging some of the water off her (for about ten seconds) before taking up a light jog down her chosen course.

Good thing she didn't take off at a run. Though maybe it would have saved her in the long run...no pun intended. LW barely got started on her course before a rather large gust of wind practically blindsided her.
And thus one little werewolf took a lesson in flying.

Landing in a heap, the she-wolf grumbled and sat up, carefully examining her surroundings. There was a fog about and it almost seemed oddly calm. Getting to her feet slowly, LW sniffed at the air. Wet. And no, not the rain. Moving forward and watching the way the fog twisted and curled about - was that a lake? - the she-wolf found herself encountering a gnome. Walking to him, she wrapped her arms around her middle and stopped just in front of him.
"Umm...excuse me?" No response. Her tail twitched and she glanced at the gnome. Then noticed the crates next to him. Curious, she peeked inside them, pawing at it's contents. What...the hell?
LW is now tackling the Water Lake!

THE WATER LAKE
Huffing and groaning as she walked out onto the pier, LW couldn't believe she was going to jump into a lake. When she was already soaked. Skellington Jack! Could she really get any wetter at this point?
The answer was yes. Yes she absolutely could.
At least her running jump and dive into the water - she finally got some information in the form of simple grunts of 'YES' and 'NO' out of the gnome - was graceful and successful. Before she even knew it, LW had gathered the materials she needed. And found a flag!

THE WATER LAKE
Who the hell came up with this idea? Really? Was it even possible to weave a basket under water?! LW just floated for a minute or two above water, holding up her materials. With a heavy sigh and a deep breath, the she-wolf submerged herself and worked at a moderate speed. To say she wasn't impressed with her own work by the end would have been a lie. This had actually been slightly fun! And look! Another flag had gotten mixed in with her weaving. Fantastic!

THE WATER LAKE
The first 'thing' that bumped into her had LW frowning at the water. The second and third freaked her out just a bit. By the fifth the she-wolf was snarling and slapping at the water as well as kicking with her legs. When something bit her tail, she yelped and dove under to use her newly crafted basket to knock at the fish attacking her. More snarls (that were really bubbles) were directed at them as she fought her way to make an escape. And after some decent hits with her basket and legs, LW found herself in a small cove. Stupid jacking fish! She kicked at them again, foot catching on something. With a growl she reached down to snatch the stupid slimy- Wait. That wasn't a fish! LW grinned. Another flag! Oh she hoped the boils would be happy!

THE WATER LAKE
After searching around just a few in the cove, LW found what she sought. Or hoped it was the right thing. If not, the Professors could come out here themselves and fight off the damn fish! Speaking of...she quickly started shoving the little boxes into her basket, checking over her shoulder every minute or so. When she couldn't fit anything else in it, LW gave another quick look around. What? She didn't want some sneaky fish to catch her off guard!
....Skulls! Was that another flag? LW paddled over to it and snatched it. Grinning, she started her swim back to shore carting her basket of goods and the flags she'd discovered. Now she just had to find Ren, Tybalt, and Jove!

After yesterday and the whole ice problem, Tybalt opted for a different route. A more---safe route, yes. Or at least, to him it was much safer. A little dark maybe, but with the natural glow of a ghost it wasn't too bad.
That's what he would have liked to say.
In truth, thanks to the fog, he couldn't see crap all. Not a thing. If anything his natural glow was a double edged sword, and bounced off of the fog, shining back into his own eyes and blinding him. Really. Never a break. On the bright side, there was no ice. That was a plus! And he even managed to find himself one of the four flags right off the bat. Surely this had to be a good sign. Yep!

Either the fog was still blinding him still, or he was dumber than he cared to admit, because somehow the black dog had taken the wrong path.

Fortunately, though Tybalt had gotten lost along the way, a single growl from somewhere within the darkness had the black dog running back in the direction he had just come from. It was then that he bolted down the direction, opposite from the one he had chosen, in hopes to lose whatever was on his tail.
It seemed to work. He no longer heard the growling or the footfalls behind him, and he even found himself another flag. Maybe that creature---whatever it was---had been a blessing in disguise? After all, it had saved him from his own mistake.

Tybalt didn't want to move forward alright. Here was his path laid out right before him and yet he didn't want to budge. Why? Because the path was slick with some muddy substance that he was not entirely sure was mud and it was small. Much too small... If he could use his natural ability and just phase through it wouldn't have been a problem. But he couldn't and it was.
Unfortunately because of his sudden halt and his refusing to move forward, it left him wide open for an attack. In fact, by the time he realized that something had even coiled around his leg, the black dog was already on his back and getting dragged and continued to be dragged until he suddenly felt the sensation of falling. Which in a way, he was. Or rather, sliding.... into a large pool of water...
Well.
On the bright side. He hadn't been dragged off to be devoured---not that he was entirely positive something natural could devour a ghost---but he was back out side, with his two flags in tact.
Down side?
He was ******** back outside!

The Cave of FIAH
Apparently one does simply walk onto a fire course. Jove kicked off his boots like requested, but he was unbothered by the uncharacteristically hot ground. He looked like a tiny snow figurine as he wandered onto the hot coals and started off across them at a brisk trot. He looked like he would be fine.
Until the tail of his fancy coat started to smolder. The instant it burst into flames and started crawling up the pup's back, he bolted.
The hardest part about taking him to the infirmary would be catching him first.

Rock Climbing
The she-wolf stared up and up, tail swishing behind her. At least she was not soaking wet today. But the heat was horrible. So freaking hot! GAH! LW was tempted to go jump in the lake again. Except...she didn't want to get attacked by the fish again. So she'd opted for something a little drier. Which was how she wound up being tasked with rock climbing!
Simple enough, right?
...right.
LW wrinkled her nose and rubbed her hands together before taking hold of the cliff. And then yipping. The damn rocks were sharp! There was a nice little cut starting to bleed along the palm of her hand. Oh skulls this was going to be harder than it originally looked, wasn't it? With a sigh and clenched teeth, the she-wolf went to it and started climbing. Slowly. And painfully. But at least she kept her grip!
And managed to get the first flag. Awesome!

Rock Climbing
Her hands hurt. And feet. It was official. And she was not just saying it from the workout she was getting from climbing. There were now multiple cuts along hands and feet that hurt like hell!
Still gripping the rock-face, LW started to reach for another sharp rock when something shook her. Or was that the cliff itself? The she-wolf froze, clinging to the side of the cliff and looking around, gaze finally turning upwards. Those so were not...yep. They were.
"Sonuva- !" LW tried to avoid the rocks raining down on her the best she could. Several bounced off her, fingers beginning to go numb and slip off the rocks she held from the force she was exerting in clutching them. The flag was just a little further too! She could see it fluttering and only had to make it just a little more-
One too many rocks pelted and smacked into her and LW lost her grip on the cliff. She went tumbling down with the rest of the falling rocks.
