"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA----"
Well, that.. there was her answer. Not bothering to wait for Rep, Reine ran in the direction of the scream, past a roller-coaster, and a gigantic, crumbling statue of a egyptian god... and there Jason was, screaming and flailing on the ground.
And clutching a teddy-bear.
It took Reine a few seconds to notice that there was something else present, the wispy form of some sort of ghost. She narrowed her eyes, observing her opponent. As far as threats went, if it was just tossing teddy bears around, she wasn't particularly fazed- though the life trainee still kept her guard up.
She did have two others to protect, after all.
"You," she called out, stepping over Jason to the poltergeist, simultaneously attempting to keep it away from the moon trainee. "You're the one responsible for this, aren't you?"
She kept the swordbreaker down, merely regarding the poltergeist.. and then it moved suddenly, dodging past her to grab her scarf from behind. Snarling, Reine spun around, slashing at it and managing to free herself.

Rep hadn't noticed right away as Jason had gone missing until Reine mentioned it, too busy watching how tightly wound up Reine herself seemed to be, a state of affairs that set him on edge. When your leader was edgy it was very easy to get swept along yourself. He shook his head though. No, he hadn't seen the guy, or where he had gone and he could only hope he hadn't gone AWOL like the children had.
"Gottit." he nodded, keeping close as his finickiness about personal space would allow, trying not to think about what had been toying with the lights before, playing with them.
And then he almost jumped out of his skin as a blood-curdling scream broke the silence. "******** hell!" he snarled, turning the jump of surprise into a leap forward into a run, trailing Reine towards where the yell had come from. Only to spot Jason. On the ground. With a bear. He looked wholly unimpressed. Had he been assaulted by teddy bears?
"You scream like a ******** girl dude." He was minus manly points in Rep's mind now, it'd take a whole lot of pro fighting to make up for that little show. "What were you screaming at-"
He interrupted himself as he too noticed the ghost, watching the intermediate, quicker on the uptake than him, give it a good slash in retaliation, at least she seemed very competent despite her nerves. That was good. He stepped up and summoned Tracey with a smirk. It was time to do what Sun hunters supposedly did best. He ran forward and leapt, bringing the axe up in a broad uppercut, nicking the ghost with the serrated feather edge.
He hated ghosts, and this fact was only even more reinforced as the damn thing hit him with a lid off one of the bins from behind them as he tried to regain his footing post swing.

Jason was panicking, that much was sure. He had no idea what had been thrown at him at first, and knowing he was dealing with some sort of poltergeist, he was assuming the worst. Some sort of goop that was constricting his airways? Maybe it was poison? He could already feel the effects of whatever it was making him light headed. He thought he blacked out for a moment, his mind hallucinating and showing him visions of him surfing in the clouds ontop of a giant teddy bear, just like the one that was.... ...choking....him....at this moment.
Silence. Followed by a deep sense of guilt ridden shame and embarrassment.
Finally throwing the bear off his face, he stood up, ready to summon Zanthvos and regain some sense of his dignity, but instead was thrown back to the ground as a garbage lid smacked him in the face.
He was just gonna lay there and ignore his weapon.

One particular life trainee, specifically the only life trainee around at the moment, might have taken just a few seconds to facepalm at Jason when the trashcan lid hit him in the face. Angrily she moved to attack it again, only to have it disappear just as her hit connected- and then it was pelting her with buckets of popcorn.
Popcorn. Really?!
Raising one arm to shield her head from the seemingly neverending supply of plastic buckets, Reine crouched and poked at Jason.
"You okay?"

Rep short Jason a disparaging little look as the guy continued to ham it up. "Dude your man cred is just bleeeeding away the more you ******** wrestle that teddy." Not that he needed Rep's snide comment, already back on his feet, Rep returning his attention to the ghost as the bin lid sailed over to clout the moon hunter on the face.
This thing certainly seemed like a similar breed to the creature he'd battled in Disney, a fact he found more unsettling than reassuring, how many ******** kids were going AWOL here?
He let Reine go to deal with Jason for the time being, and turned his own attentions to the annoying creature, shouldering aside a thrown chair to lash out with Tracey in a glancing attack but an attack nonetheless.

No, Jason wasn't okay, he definitely wasn't okay. He was laying there with a trash can lid over his head, feeling absolutely sorry for himself. He should really move the lid off his face, but that meant revealing his face to them after he had just been beaten by a inanimate object. Rep's comments were not helping him either.
...That seemed enough to get him to sit up, letting the lid slide off him. "Yeah..I'm okay..." He mumbled, getting to his feet. With a solemn sigh he tried to focus on the target, the...ghost in front of him. Not knowing what else to do, he rushed forward, sword appearing in his hand as he then swung it at his opponent. Thankfully it did connect, but not before it threw at him a bunch of chocolate bars.

It was okay, Jason, Reine would sympathise, if she actually knew how he was feeling. She'd messed up in front of division leaders before, Jason should be glad she was just an intermediate, and not particularly prone to violence, unless they were sparring, in which case..
Wait, back on track. Now Jason had gotten back on his feet and was doing at least decently, the poltergeist received most of her attention. Lunging towards it, Reine stabbed it, earning a sort of strangled shriek.
And a canned drink that exploded in her face, covering her with soda.

Rep at least was glad that Jason was up and hitting things, that was progress. It was enough for him for the time being, though he was sorely tempted by the assault of chocolate bars. If only the ******** thing would throw them his way, he could do with bringing a few back, his own stocks were running low.
Reine also seemed to be doing well. At least until the can hit her.
He couldn't help it, he laughed his head off at it for a bit. At least until a can bounced off his own head, making him return to all ******** ghosts man!" he barked irritably as he charged forward to swing, cringing as the flood of charge energy made Tracey utterly /sing/ with delight.

He may of been on his feet, but Jason didn't' seem to be doing very well in terms of 'hitting' the ghost. He was making contact, but was unable to score a more direct blow. He frowned at this, though Zanthvos didn't seem to mind at all.
He saw Reine being assaulted by a soda can, while rep was thwacked with another garbage can. And in his lapse of concentration, he was assaulted with...fairy floss.
...At least it tasted nice. Even if his head was covered in it now.

In seconds Reine was back up on her feet, though by this time she was also pretty ****ing pissed at the poltergeist. Soda all over her beautiful new jacket. Soda that was likely to leave some kind of stain on her beautiful new jacket. Oh, that poltergeist was going to get it good.
Snarling, she attacked it again, viciously stabbing it. Some part of her was glad for the backup- Jason seemed to have recovered from his initial shock, and Rep.. well, Rep was being helpful, something she appreciated. They could do this, all they needed to do was take down one stupid ghost- beat it into submission and then interrogate it about the missing kids.

He was only really properly happy when he was fighting, so despite the hurled items at the surprising amount of damage the creature seemed to be doing to his fear shield, Rep was having fun. Once he was in his zone, he was hard to shake out of it.
And then the creature threw candyfloss at Jason. Instead of him. This was unacceptable, just when he was hoping for some airborne confectionery, someone ******** else got it. And what did he get? The other half of the bin.
Oh but at least there was /that/. <>
And with a smirk, he let Tracey all but take control, charging forward to bring Tracey up in a huge arc, carried along on wings of mingled adrenaline and the fear charge. Best ******** feeling ever. As the blade connected the ghost let out another screech like the previous, that their efforts would change nothing, that the children were already gone, beyond their reach.
Rep landed on the ground and shot the dissipating abomination a look of disdain. "Shut up."
He felt like a movie action hero.

After spending time just whipping his face clean of the sugary sweets, Jason was able to see Rep deliver a very powerful blow to the ghost. It appeared to have finished it, but not without a final word from the creature. He watched it go, a heavy feeling settling upon him as he learned that they were already to late to save them. He clenched he sword, feeling ill. Had this fight been in vain?
Well..there was that.

Reine spun around again only to see Rep finish the poltergeist off. Good job, she thought, feeling a little bit of pride in the trainee. There was, at the same time, a bit of disappointment that she hadn't gotten to show off, but what mattered most was that the mission was, for the most part, a success.
It was the poltergeist's last words before it dissipated that left her feeling extremely cold, chills running down her spine. The children.. were already gone. The children.. she didn't even want to know details. For a moment she remained speechless, staring at where the poltergeist had been, then turned to Rep and Jason.
"Let's go back," she ended up saying, her voice barely audible. "Good job, guys. Remember to fill in your mission reports, stuff like that."

Rep nodded, feeling rather proud and accomplished about actually beating something in a fight for once in his life, puffing up a little with pride and holding his head up high. Of course, he was concerned about the missing children, in that sort of distant Rep like way he was concerned about other things people thought he should care about.
But really, he'd just looked boss. And that was all that /really/ mattered to him.
"Yeah. Lets go."
He wandered over to Jason and paused.
"Can I take this candy floss with me?" Sure it had been on the ground. But it was candy floss.

Out of all the things that could have been said at this point in time....Jason had not expected that.
"Ah...s-sure thing" He replied, his eyes traveling to the remnants of the fairy floss. Was Rep really that desperate for some sweets? In any case, who was he to argue? Although he hoped that the other hunter wouldn't try to get the rest of from out of his hair...
