 Professor Mercer
Science/Alchemy Teacher She arrived in class, on time to be exact. Thankfully for the others who made it early, she was back. Catherine cleared the board, taking a marker then writing down a couple things. Catherine then took hold of a thin, long metal rod, used for teaching. "Okay Class, as for those of you who are not familiar with me, I am Doctor Mercer, but in this case you may call me Professor. I am not your friend, I am your teacher, and I expect to be given your full attention in the duration of the class," she said.

Shaln quickly put her books in her backpack and straightened out. She smiled, happy class was about to begin.
Dread stumbled in, with a schedule in his hands and no supplies whatsoever except what he was wearing. "Sorry I'm late... Just joined the school, still confused about everything..." He frowned, unhappy that he was late for any class. He quickly sat down.

Science/Alchemy Teacher Catherine nodded when Dread sat down, no change in expression. The rod was then pointed to the back, "If any of you weren't here from the beginning of the semester, the papers since the beginning are all back there. Just because you weren't here for the beginning, doesn't mean you are excused from your work. I guarantee you will not pass if each and every one of those pages aren't turned in to me within a week." Taking a metal clip, she pulled it down, showing a diagram of the entire spectrum of light. This week was focused on this, because something as powerful as light should not of been taken lightly in a scientific career. "If any of you recognize this, tell me what it is," she ordered.

Shaln raised her hand before speaking. "It's a spectrum of all light, both visible and invisible to the human eye, as well as a chart of what species can see different areas of the spectrum."

Science/Alchemy Teacher "Correct, it absolutely is. Do you know why the eye cannot see the invisible rays?" he asked. Catherine was giving a necessary evaluation, some of this was taught in early high school so it was good to see how much the class could remember.

Shaln raised her hand again. "Because we were born with rods and cones able to see certain things, and as a species there was no need for humans to see certain colors, so their eyes never evolved to be able to see those colors."
Dread smiled. He liked light. Light was a form of energy. He liked energy. He also liked that he COULD see all the colors, unlike most species.

OOC: You could of at least said that a couple minutes passed rather then exiting like that. I have a lot of work to do, it isn't easy always checking up on this. Whatever, I am leaving.
