The last time he had been here it had turned out to be an utter disaster - but Requiem Driscoll was determined to not let that happen again. He had seen the notice in the training facility as he had passed it earlier that week, and now, more than ever, he was quite decidedly interested, especially if it meant furthering ahead his own ambitions. They had been on hold for too long, after all; Requiem had lost faith for a while, drowning in his own admittedly somewhat melodramatic feelings and emotions, but with Lycander's assistance and care he had decided to move ahead.

Hopefully it will go better this time than the last.

When he arrived at the entrance to the forest, he was, at least, not late like he had been before, hastily and messily stumbling across Miusa and her pupil. It had been a tad embarrassing, but considering Requiem's past history and his resignation to such things, he had merely waited for the redness in his cheeks to pass before calmly approaching his teacher. He was used to being the object of humiliation, after all - the whispers, the not-so-subtle glances in his direction, the sneering, cattish remarks. He did not attend Makai Academy anymore - thank heavens - but it was not so easy to forget what it had been like while there, and his only solace was that he would not have to return.

And he had Lycander, of course. Bright, cheerful, brilliantly radiant Lycander who both confused and disoriented him. Like this morning, when Requiem had awoken to find breakfast and a note dotted with way too many smiley faces and flowers set beside his bed, the smell of bacon wafting through the room.

Requiem, after nearly five months of this, was still not used to Lycander's doting - especially since he was still not even sure of his own feelings, after several months of that one dinner.

It was all so very confusing.

At least now, Requiem thought, as he hesitated just before the forest, golden eyed gaze sweeping over the people already there, he could focus solely on his training and work to be what he had always wanted to be - and hopefully this time it would go better.

He did not recognize many of the faces, but there was one that stood out - a pale skinned young man with clothes of a flowing blue-green that matched his hair and eyes. Requiem was quite certain he had seen him before, somewhere, but he wasn't entirely sure when that had been - just that his name was something with an R...Rupert...Robert...Radit - Rajih, that was it. His name was Rajih. Either way, he quietly stepped up beside him, peering owlishly around at the young man.

"...it's Rajih, isn't it?" said Requiem quietly. "Are you Rajih?"

Dane was a quieter presence in the clearing as he watched other witches filter in one by one, idly wondering which of the new faces were training to be Cerberus Knights like he was, and which were more interested in the Ars Lilium track. In the end he supposed it didn’t matter much—he wasn’t sure if he’d ever see any of these people again, anyway.

He’d come out, not so much because he’d decided that becoming a Cerberus Knight was his life’s dream (he didn’t dream much these days) but more because he was simply curious. None of the many career options available to him had swung him in any direction, and he guessed that was his purpose tonight. In the end, he’d do what he wanted, even if it meant staying a witch.

The man leaned against a tree, his arms folded in a closed gesture as he felt particularly empty without his guitar by his side. His long, dark hair was tied loosely in a low ponytail, and the expression on his face meant business, even if the professor hadn’t arrived yet. He wouldn’t bother much with socializing yet, not until it became apparent that he would need to.

Kiarei was later than she had wished to be, mainly due to having to backtrack due to the message that had been left. Her injuries from the previous month were not slowing her down any longer, thankfully, but she had taken a bit of extra time to wrap her arms and lower legs in cloth. Perhaps if she had a tiny bit extra padding this time her injuries wouldn't be quite as bad. Then again she knew already that it was more a mental thing, a way of bolstering her confidence which was otherwise pointless.

There were quite a few more people here this time and she hoped that they stayed, hoped that she wouldn't be alone this time. While it had certainly been an experience that had opened her eyes she really did not wish to be on the wrong side of Miusa's magic again. Hopefully all the practice she had done in the time between the current training session and the last would improve her odds if she had to be in combat of any sort.

Upon first glance it seemed that everyone else was already engaged in conversation so she simply stood at the edge of the group, red eyes shifting from person to person. Sometimes due to her reclusive nature it was a little difficult for her to socialize and this was one of the situations in which she struggled. Kiarei wasn't certain as to whether or not she should interrupt any of the conversations, thus she simply watched and listened, waiting for their instruction to appear.

The dim orange glow of a lantern flickered through the distant trees, like a firefly lost within the branches. Branches and leafs crackled as something walked ever closer, finally stepping out from behind a large and twisted oak tree. Her pale skin and hair made her seem rather ghostly this night, but Miusa smiled to the rag-tag group in front of her.

"Welcome," she murmured, slowly roaming her eyes over all of them. She recognized Kiarei and the late boy from the last training. She gave the girl a polite nod of acknowledgment, and slightly scowled at the white-haired late boy. She couldn't remember his name. He had been late, after all. Her scowl melted a little, mischief in her eyes more so than annoyance, before turning her gaze onto the others. She also recognized the auburn-haired girl and the creamy-haired boy from before, one had been quite eager, the other seemed to have been grimacing at her through most of their last training. Oh well, Miusa certainly was not here to please anyone, but to use any means necessary to make them into something better.

There was a boy with two-toned hair who seemed quite determined yet sullen, a green-haired boy she had seen once or twice at the academy, and a darker haired boy who seemed like he recently had stepped out of a band practice.

"This is quite the the oddball bunch, isn't it?" she mused, a look of mixed delight and mischief on her face. "I will take you deep into the forest....much deeper than I promise you've ever been before. There is a matter there, a very serious matter that must be dealt with, and what better 'training', than on-the-job? This is....something you would be doing time-time as an Ars Lilium, and much of the time as a Cerberus Knight. However.... If you want fluffy-froofroo and cupcakes, you best go back home now. It's the only chance I give you....Those of you who want to continue, tell everyone your name...a little about yourself. If you don't speak, I assume you have decided to go back."

She sat cross-legged on the ground, resting her chin on the palm of her hand, waiting to listen in.

This was Riba’s first time to the forest. She had seen the forest many times, and even been around the edges of it as well, but this was her first time heading to the forest for training. It was new. It was exciting. The witch was eager to see what Miusa had in store for her and the others that chose to come. The balls of her hair tie—could it even be called a hair tie? It was longgg with fish inside—jingled as they clashed together, the water sloshing and rattling the poor fish swirling in the transparent spheres. She hummed out a cheery tune as she took her sweet time to the forest entrance. It was relieving to finally graduate the academy. While Riba didn’t necessarily hate the place, she certainly did not miss the schoolwork and uniforms. She jingled the bracelets on her wrists, flicking her wrists even more when she spotted a group of people up ahead. Her eyes lit up. People! So she was finally here.

Except she appeared to be tardy. Oooh. She threw furtive glances around the small group, the spheres of her ribbon softly clacking while Riba positioned herself near the back of the crowd. It would have been too rude and noticeable for her to eagerly squirm her way to the front, much to her disappointment. Plus, she didn’t think Miusa would take well to someone who was tardy.

Bright blue eyes curiously stared at the pale woman in the front. Her ears keenly picked up her words’ occasionally she hummed softly and thoughtfully, pondering over the information with surprising care. Lips twisted into a thin frown at the mention of ‘serious.’ She wasn’t very interested about doing serious work, but if Ars Lilium didn’t do it all the time, then Riba supposed she could live with that. Miusa asked for introductions and Riba automatically searched the others’ faces to see who would speak first. As someone who was tardy, she didn’t think it wise to start everything off, but after a few seconds of silence she sighed and raised an arm. “Ah’m Riba Samudra! Ah’m real good with animals an’ summon ‘em. Ah can also do some water magic. Ah’m from Clarus Arbor.” Satisfied, she lowered her arm and eyed Miusa. Had she said too little? Too much?
