"You Impressed more Flits?" Dizz grabbed a scrub brush and set to work, helping S'kiro with Neptanth's hide. It was nice to put her candidate training to use, even if it wasn't her own dragon. "The caravan? Were you a Trader then?" She'd heard of a couple Trader's Impressing while visiting and was incredibly jealous at the time. For the most part she was over it now, just feeling a twinge of envy.
She couldn't help but grin at the mention of an escort. "I know I wouldn't mind a bronze rider or two escorting me around...Or a Bluerider for that matter" Dizzian gave S'kiro a teasing wink, a foxy grin on her face. She followed Optheli's example and kept her tone light. "With Abigail as she is...we couldn't afford that. We need our Goldriders strong right now." She was silent a moment later.
"Your brother as well? Was there a clutch I didn't hear about?" Not that she really needed more flits. Tweaker and Spazz were hard enough to control as is.

Amunet listened as she washing Seth, she was quiet jealous that the candidate girl had the you man's attention more then her. Seth simply sighed as he felt her jealousy; the only thing he could do is sing and he did not want to do that publicly less he really had to.
Amunet smiled as a thought came to her, as soon as Seth was clean she would dive into the lake and welcome S'kiro to join her, after all he had help washing his dragon so he should be done when she is. Amunet only had a few places left to clean; tips of his wings, head and chest of her lovely stripped dragon.

"I haven't impressed any more since Sprite there," pointing with his chin at the blue near Ishbel, the gold. As Dizz continued with her questions and responses, S'kiro faded a bit into his dragon. Neptanth has nudged him around at times to get him to speak up more, but he would fall back into his old ways at times.
His gaze went to the black and green dragons, both of which seemed to be cared for extremely well. Shards, if it hadn't been for his flits, S'kiro would have a hard time keeping Neptanth so spotless all the time. He wasn't use to the attention from other riders, not like the black's.

She came around her dragon's rump to scrub at her tail. Optheli wondered if the blue rider had more than she could see at the moment. She was happy with just Ismay. "Yup, both me and S'kor. Spice traders specifically but we did the whole deal." Mainly she'd made herself useful and helped out with chores around the caravan. She had been with her brother and she had been happy.
Optheli couldn't help but giggle at the candidate's obvious hints to the bluerider. She hoped he noticed. "Hahaha you're not the only one. I didn't hear about any either. I'm not even sure where he managed to pick her up. Do you have any flits of your own Dizz?" She nodded, "poor Abigail. Does anyone know if they brought in master healers to look at her?" Optheli looked around at her question.
"So are you doing anything later Amunet?" It was an innocent enough question. Perhaps she could invite everyone to her quarters. Dynith could use the company.

Dizz was now kneeling in the water, rubbing at a spot low on Neptanth's chest. She was a little disappointed at the lack of response. She hoped she hadn't offended him with her teasing. She turned in the direction of Optheli's voice, unable to see the greenrider at her current angle.
S'kor, that was the other stand Impression. She stood and gestured to the blue and green decorating Neptanth's hide. "Those two. Tweaker." She pointed to the green who was sitting on Neptanth's head with her cloth, not so much cleaning as talking up a storm. Dizzian got a flurry of images that made no sense to her. "...and Spazz." The blue on the other hand was eyeing Tweaker, looking for an opportunity to steal her half of the rag. "I should hope they did. I haven't heard anything definite. With all the rumors flying about it's hard to tell what's true and what isn't."
Dizzian rarely felt shy but the stoic silence of the older blackrider, combined with her aura of potent femininity made her rather intimidating. At 17 Dizzian had thought of herself as pretty attractive and in her prime but this woman made her feel like a genderless child. Her cheeks flushed slightly and she returned her gaze to Neptanth.

Amunet had just moved to washing under Seth's chin and chest area when she heard the question of later. "Well I was thinking of swimming a bit after my Seth is all cleaned. Any one else wanting to they can, we can play water games like a bit of hide and seek only the seeker has their eyes closed as they look for the others. Less of course you rather we gather all around and play truth or dare~?"
At the truth or dare part she looked to S'kiro giving a tempting smile as to what dare she'd ask him. She then looked to Dizz, "Of course if we play the other game we promise not to leave you out, I'm sure we can play with out our dragons guiding us. After all its a good practice to trust your instincts and your dragon, should one of you lose vision for any reason." Her smile to Dizz seemed full of confidence but she tried to sound sincere even if she saw the girl as competition for a boy's attention. Seth looked to Dizz and wished he could boost the girl up; some times Amunet could be really cruel with out knowing it.
He gave Dizz a warm and friend thrill like purr as he nodded at her before returning his head how Amunet wanted it to clean.

I believe we were being asked to watch over someone. Not the gold, but one of your women here. I think. There was confusion in Neptanths voice. The blue could tell his rider was going back into his hiding habits.
S'kiro glanced around at the women, catching a little of the tale end of their talk. "Well, I am sure they would both enjoy getting out of the area for a little. Though if you think about it, neither whers or dragons really noticed a danger until the attack happened. Maybe they are thinking of that too?"
His flits hearing the word game or just catching the ideas from Amunet's mind, flew in to land on his shoulders and head. Though there was enough for the two blues, a brown and the gold, they still fought for their spot and ended up knocking him down into the water. Sputtering when he stood back up, "Well it looks like I am ready for any water games." He noticed the look from the other, but ignored it. He wasn't going to be in the middle of a fight, again.

Optheli popped around Dynith's other side in time to see Dizz point out her flits. "They are cute," she grinned. "How long have you had them?" She rubbed her brush up the green's side to her shoulder. "Mmmmmm I think that's where so much problems with the attempts and information gathering came from. Too bad to." Optheli nodded.
She glanced over to the black and his rider. "Games sound like a fun idea. As long as we're not too tired after this," Optheli laughed. "None of them are as small as they use to be." She looked fondly at the green then returned her attention to the conversation. "Really Amunet, you shouldn't talk like that. I don't know what possessed you to say that, but we don't need that kind of talk here." She smiled to take a bit of the sting out of her words. The conversation didn't need to turn to dark things. Not when they were having a good time.
"Too true S'kiro, and I'm sure they are being more alert now. When things are pleasant for too long things tend to go lax." She remembered that from the caravan. Some of the guards getting careless and getting chewed out. Optheli laughed at the antics of the flits sent the bluerider into the water. "You'll be as clean as your dragon."

Dizzian's fluster cooled as Amunet bluntly pointed out her lack of dragon. Did the blackrider know she'd stood continuously for 5 turns to no avail? The comment stung, even with the woman's smile.
Dizz turned back to S'kiro and nodded. "Yeah, I heard that people thought it was a familiar rider though. But then again with the attacks on 3 different Weyrs who would be known well enough at all 3 to not be at least noted each time an attack happened?" Dizz's speculating was cut short as S'kiro was attacked by his own flits. She burst into a fit of laughter to see him soaking wet.
"I'm up for about anything. I've got the afternoon free." She was still in a good mood and one snide little comment wasn't going to ruin it.

Amunet looked to the rider of the green dragon, "Well sorry for being truthful but I bet the only reason you took that negatively is because you have no idea who your family is. That or you like to take things to heart. To be honest if thread falls and you are lucky to live through it even if some fell in your eyes, you would be blind. Unless you are blessed by some unknown reasoning to not be. As for what I said to Dizz, that is your name right," Amunet looked to Dizz to make sure, "I was be honest in saying we, well I wouldn't use Seth in the game. Now if it were the three of us we could since it would be fair and it'd help bond us more." Amunet petted Seth's neck before she looked to the green rider, "But please know that just cause I was blessed to get Seth my first hatch that I do not expect every one to do the same. Some my friends never got dragons but they still are welcome to hang out with dragon riders."
Seth looked a bit confused as he tired to think of who these friends were; how ever he simply closed his eyes and spoke to his rider, My dear friend, you should stop talking yourself a hole... Just apologize and lets change topic, I do not like to think of us meeting thread. Mom would be alone for a lone time if we do met it. Thread might push her over her sanity.
Amunet froze and looked to her dragon as though she saw the dead in front of her. She pulled herself together and took a deep breath, "Sorry... I'm just having a bad week. Forgive my rudeness all of you, please?"

Neptanth turned to look at Amunet when she talked of Thread. There wasn't much he could say about the way she was talking of things that haven't happened in so long. Still...it was something for the blue to thing about.
S'kiro laughed, "Yeah, seems like I am being told I need a bath too. Though I took one earlier, after seeing some new births." He felt the undercurrent between the females, though the green rider seemed to be wanting the same as him, a peaceful/friendly time out among others. "I am sure that this guy here would be willing to help out Dizz, if she is inclined to try a game that relies on our partners senses."

Optheli stopped. She turned to face the black rider fully with her hand on her hip. Behind her she heard Dynith croon with worry. "There is nothing wrong with the truth. The truth is Thread has not fallen for many many Turns. The truth is if you were struck by Thread in the face such that you were blinded, you'd probably have bigger concerns. Like being dead." Her expression turned stern. "And for your information I will have you know that I know exactly who my family is. My father is a trader for the Camrann Caravan, who I will have you know also trades here, and I regularly speak to him. My mother was once a trader who chose a different life for herself and I hope she is utterly happy there. Finally my older brother was a respected member of the caravan and he is now a bronzerider. So I will kindly ask you to think before you speak."
Optheli liked nearly everyone, but this woman was starting to get on her nerves. If she wanted to alienate everyone she spoke to, she was certainly on the correct course. Like rubbing in the fact she had a dragon. She glanced sympathetically toward the candidate. It had to be hard to stand and watch everyone but you find a partner. We'll have to cheer her up Dynith.
She perked up at the mention of new births. "Oh who had a baby?" She hadn't heard of anyone due that she knew of. Optheli finished up on Dynith's hide as she pondered a moment. At S'kiro's offer she had an idea hit. "Then lets not play a game that requires our dragons." She said brightly. "When I had a friend sit with me we'd play Item Find. You give hints as to what item you're looking at or thinking of. And the other person has to guess what it is before the wagon passes it." She gave a soft laugh, "though since we're not in wagons we can just keep guessing until someone figures it out."

Dizzian didn't respond to Amunet. She fought the burning in her eyes and turned her face to the blue's hide, wiping gently at an already clean spot. Her head jerked back up as S'kiro offered Neptanth's help. He couldn't be serious? Neptanth would speak to her? Dizzian's emotions were being thrown for a loop, confusing the poor girl as anger, shame, determination and hope all warred within her.
Dizz's pleasure at the offer from S'kiro was short lived though. Optheli's sympathetic look stung. She didn't want their pity! She swallowed hard then forced a laugh, "Well aren't I a tunnelsnake in the wherry nest! Thanks for your concern but don't worry about me. If you all want to play with your dragons I don't want to be the one to stop you. I can just as easily enjoy myself swimming or go back home. I don't need to be coddled like a child." Besides Amunet, Dizzian was the oldest one here though only just barely. It was bad enough that they had had their life partners for over a turn at least while she'd spent that time having her hope ground into the sands turn after turn. She took another swipe at Neptanth's hide but her enthusiasm had wilted. Now he was just a reminder of her failure.

Amunet finished washing Seth and slipped to his far side so the others couldn't see her; No one heard her apology and that made her furious. Though Seth and Casyla were the only ones that knew she hated to say she was wrong but she hated more to not have it heard. Seth looked to the other dragons and then saw Casyla move to a more quite spot.
He laid his head down as he was waiting for Amunet to decide if she wanted to stay or leave. They did not hear for you were to rude, do not take it hard. They are still young and you have experience that they have yet to learn. What ever you chose we shall do, alright?

Goosebumps crawled up S'kiro's back and he had to shake to get them off. The talk of Thread, while taken some what seriously by all, still seemed silly. Though calling out the only one there who didn't have a dragon was sort of harsh, but he thought he saw some sort of sadness pass. It was hard to tell with all of them, each with their own emotions running high.
"So shall we start a game?" He took a quick glance at the dragons to make sure they were done.
