Andrea turned to listen to his words, eyebrow slowly raising above her right hue. She cracked a tiny amused smile, realizing her mistakes. She'd have to be careful around this one... he seemed to read her like a open book. Huh. Where was the fun in being mysterious when the guy could pick your mind apart slowly yet surely? Pursing her lips she gave a curt nod, still smiling that soft smile in response to all he had said. "Of course, Doctor. How absolutely silly of me." Giggling slightly she leaned back, hands on her hips as she kept her eyes on him. He was interesting... very interesting. Sighing slightly she slowly raised her hand, fingers waggling in a goodbye sort of gesture.
"Yes, goodbye... Doctor."
That was weird to say... she was used to people calling her Doctor, not the other way around. Sighing quietly she watched his back until he vanished from her site, amused expression lingering for awhile before slowly melting away. Were there any women on this damned... thing? Hopefully. More than likely... if she recalled correctly there were at least two other females in the area... She wouldn't be too alone. Scoffing slightly she turned on her heels and began strolling off at a leisurely pace... Until someone called her name.
"Um... Dr. Lark, right...?"
Turning smoothly on the backs of her feet she came face to face with Mr. Williams, the towel man from earlier. Blinking in surprise she nodded before offering a infectious, happy smile, taking his outstretched hand and giving it a good firm shake. Ah, firm handshakes were always a good thing... or at least that's what her father had told her. Pulling her hand free from his slightly larger digits she kept that smooth smile on, lips parted evenly over her straight white teeth. "Oh, don't worry about it. It was... more of a surprise for myself then anything," she laughed quietly, reaching up and pushing a stray strand of black from her blue eyes, "Well I'm glad to be here, too, Mr. Williams. It's a amazing place!" She looked up at the clear ceiling, her smile softening into amazement. Ah... this was perfect.
"Oh! Dr. Walker? He just left to settle in. Or at least I believe that's what he's doing." she shrugged absently, smile growing slightly. "So, you're the man who created Echo? That's simply amazing... a personality for Atlantis! You must be a very smart man, Mr. Williams." Shifting her weight to her right foot she cocked her head to the side, black hair spilling over her shoulder, "But then again it's only the best down here." Smiling softly she shifted weight again, deciding she was itching to go exploring around the place. The long tunnels were just calling to her... she could here the whispers...
Andrea... Andrea...
"Ah, my name is Andrea by the way. No need for formalities like Doctor."

Sophia let out a small long breath, barely representing the wonder that filled her. The laptop that rested casually at her side with the ease of her arm brought to her chest as her arms wrapped around it. Her eyes ungratefully tearing away from the ceiling, seeing the blue haze fall upon the laptop that rested in her arms. Folding the screens apart as they lay in front of her once more. A clear document upon which the begging cursor lied. Every time this laptop was opened the document was closed, saved on it's own, the mere buttons she presses to save it before closure is merely habit. A fresh and new document appearing before her every time this laptop was opened.
A time stamp in a dull gray appeared above the words she typed. A time stamp that would appear at a beginning of a document, and a pause. All details her near and dear psychologist friends wished for. Her hand easily graced back and forth among the keys as the words silently appeared upon the page. I have now been given the awe-inspiring view of the ocean I lie beneath. Around me I see dozens of fish that show no fear to this monstrosity that invades their home.
Her hand hovered over the keys for a moment, her fingers no longer reaching to the letters. Her eyes reaching to the ceiling again, taking a few steps forward as she saw the seas current fall in different directions of the straight path of her clicking heels. Glancing back to the document and her fingers falling upon the keys, another time stamp appearing above the first word she typed.Words can not express my awe at this, it is near painful to force myself to take my eyes away. Because my near and dear psychology nerds wish to study my initial reaction. And it is of course, awe, wonderment, excitement that defies my description, though I'm sure it can be simplified to a paragraph or two by Sebastian or others.
A light pinky resting down upon the enter key as another light ding hardly was heard, or deemed noticeable throughout this mighty cavernous space she entered into. Once again the screen that held the words folded flat to face the grey keys. The laptop resting in her arm that rested by her side as she glanced to the walls. Her heels clicking forward, barely a louder sound than the ding from a moment ago. Bringing a hand up to her face, her fingers lightly touching upon the side of her eyes as a wide smile remained there. This was a dream that she wished to never be woken from. Her feet lifting slightly as a foot fell upon a step, watching her feet lift along the smooth black tile that glazed so perfectly along here. A dimmer blue haze than the one that remained a top her head remained. Her free hand reaching out as she walked along the left of the stairs, following her free hand that slid along the rail. Leave? I'll say.
She brought her head up as she reached the final step, smirking to herself as the thought came across her. When that wretched day comes, and I'll say this is home.
Her smirk faded into that smile of wonder from harshly a moment ago, walking down the hall as she was blessed in the blue light of the sea. Oh how life can be so sweet, for some, maybe. Sophia's eyes glanced upward as her heels continued a pace along, it was time to meet the others. Paradise does exist on Earth.

Wade Marcotte Wade Marcotte stayed glued to his leather seat as the transport shuttle submerged beneath the raging blue water. The young engineer was honored to be invited to Atlantis, but hours of analyzing the sub's technical manuel had convinced him that the structural integrity of this vessel would not be enough to withstand the pressure of such depths, regardless of what engineers had proved previous. Determined to save face in front of the the only representative he had met so far, the jovial shuttle pilot, Wade kept his mouth shut and smiled, hoping that claustrophobia wouldn't be today's mind killer. The twenty-four year old could normally handle small spaces, but the thought of waiting four hours to reach safety did not sit well. Physics was against this project. The only comfort he had was the white noise of the humming thrusters, taking them slowly into the dark sea. In reality, this shuttle was state-of-the-art and had everything a man would need during his short trip to the bottom of the sea, including a large selection of records. There was nothing to worry about. Ten minutes after entering the sub, Wade couldn't take it anymore. "May I come join you up front Sir?" "Ya' don't do water often do ya?" laughed the pilot. "Why sure, grab the co-pilot seat." Talking to a person was just what he needed to keep his mind off of Davy Jones Locker. He noticed switchboards and gauges telling him exactly what he wanted to know about their current depth and position in the water, but his heart was now pounding, they still had three and a half hours to go. Beckoning, the older man pointed to the seat for the young, dark-eyed engineer. "I've been coming down here for almost a year" sighed the pilot, as Wade sat down to face the front window. "It would take alot for me to want to leave this job. You and I are very safe young man." Wade looked directly ahead as the pilot spoke. The Sea was a beautiful thing to behold, even in complete darkness. Letting go of his internal terror and very absent minded now, wade spoke his mind. "Don't you have vascular problems from travelling so much?" Wade regreted this question as soon as he asked it. "I hope you don't." he added, in his mind blaming his current stupidity on a lack of oxygen, of which there was plenty. "Vascular problems? Boy, do you know who is running this place?" questioned the pilot skeptically. "Everyone's health is top priority 'round here. I've delivered two doctors already, and maybe more to come!" At least the two men had managed to talk about something as non-threatening as Healthcare policy. If it came to it, Wade would string this convorsation along for the entire trip so he would have something else to think about, other than water crashing in on them. Fortunately, Alex Barnes was an interesting man and could talk about any subject that came up. The pilot even knew a bit of Wade's history, but played it off saying he had an 'informed wife who told him those sorts of things'. As it turned out, his companion was a wealth of knowledge about Atlantis. Barnes told him about the earliest construction efforts, how the crew lived in the depths for months at a time to finish trivial details like flower arranging outisde the structure, that two of the crew even got married while in Atlantis, and that everything was top secret. All the stories couldn't have been true, especially the one about Barnes losing his pet snake in the facility, but listening to his stories was fun. Wade realized that he might be having fun from this experience. It was at this time, approximately half an hour away from their destination, that the power shut off. "Mr. Barnes, please tell me this is a practical joke." "Sorry Son, but we might have lost power for a minute or two." Within seconds, Wade's mind was racing. A minute or two? This man was serious. Aboard one of the highest ranked transport subs in the World, you must beware of brown-outs. Even the most current technologically advanced systems were susceptable to dead batteries. Unacceptable. Knowing that something like this was going to happen was the worst part of this predicament. Wade didn't feel like waiting in the dark, but at the same time felt helpless... or was it sick? Thinking harder, Wade realized that he could no longer sit up straight, or that maybe he was upright, but with faeries dancing around his head. Quick Breaths weren't helping anything. He just needed to close his eyes for a moment. Wade woke to Barnes in a groggy voice that almost sounded like chuckling. "Are you ok Son? Ya' passed out. The power is back and we can make it in ten minutes. Hang in there." Wade closed his eyes once again. For a grand entrance and with the help of Mr. Barnes, Wade hobbled to the lobby where two large men stood. Showing his clearance badge, the young electrical engineer gave his thanks and waved goodbye. Wade did not feel well. Hopefully Barnes wasn't lying about those doctors.

Jaden N. Walker~ ~Psychologist/Nurse Jaden set his case down on the floor of his new room, a small smile going over his face as he slowly turned over his surroundings in his mind. Yes...the pilot had said as much, certainly, putting a five star hotel to shame, but some part of him had assumed this to be a slight exaggeration... but no. No this place was most certainly up to such a specification.
His own room was covered in crimson carpeting and sleek marble, various curtains hanging down from the ceiling giving the place an almost...mysterious feel. The many crimson curtains hanging down seemed were drawn back at the moment, held by gold lace cords, but still it gave the modernized apartment the feel of a stage. Walking over and running his hand along the smooth dark wood counter top to his personal bar area, he couldn't help but start to chuckle. Finally his eyes, only briefly noting the large bed over in the corner by the empty book shelves, turned to the wide spherical window that was looking out into the almost surreal sapphire blue ocean, illuminated by the stations lights.
A fish, large and alien, sailed by outside, and Jaden was slightly amused at how oblivious fish always seemed...though, this WAS the Andrea Trench...he gave a slight smirk. Fish down this far were blind, using other methods to persist in an environment that, without human efforts, was completely and utterly devoid of any light.
"Life is such a persistent thing." He remarked to himself turning back towards the rest of the room. "Hm...now let's see... I read the briefing they gave us, but I simply must see this for myself." he cleared his throat in a needlessly dramatic fashion. "Echo?"
"Yes Doctor Walker, is there something I can help you with?" the pleasant female voice came back to him almost at once, and brought a broad smile to his face. Good...now...
"Yes, actually..." Jaden adapted an almost airy voice, as though only mildly concerned with the world around him. "Do you have a selection of music stored away? I find myself in the mood to celebrate my arrival."
"Music, yes of course sir. We have a very broad selection spanning across many artists, genere's, and time periods, may I ask what your preference is?"
"Hmm..." Jaden seemed to muse... an almost sly look on his face now as he slid behind the bar. "How about...some smooth Jazz. Always relaxing. And please, call me Jaden."
"Very well, Jaden."
The slow measured notes of the selected Jazz song began to play, Jaden actually setting a glass out as he inquired "Echo... I wonder...you are an artificial intelligence, is that correct?"
"Yes Jaden, that is correct." still the computers voice perfectly mimicked that of a perky young woman, saying gads in Jaden's opinion as to the psychology of her creator, but he had to focus on one at a time, after all.
"I see, you know I find it absolutely fascinating that someone like you could exist. Imagine, a mind completely composed of circuits and microchips. I pay my compliments to Mister Williams."
"Someone...sir, that is not correct. I am a computer, not a person." she informed with the air of being helpful, as though she was correcting his obvious mistake.
"Oh really?" He seemed politely taken aback, though there was a glimmer in his eye. "Is that so? I see. I suppose you can understand my mistake. After all, in my line of work, anyone with a developed mind is a someone. Even if someone is damaged or born less then what is normal, we still have to consider them a person and try to help them to the best of our ability." he gave a merry sigh "I suppose such is a facet of my vocation."
"Acknowledged." Echo stated, causing a smirk to spread across Jaden's face again. "By this definition, as Free has created me with a mind, I am a person."
Jaden seemed pleased. "Ah," he seemed to agree, as though it had been the AI's idea "well there you are then. So even if you are a computer, Echo, when dealing with me, you may consider yourself a person."
"Very well, Jaden. This request is acknowledged."
He poured himself a glass of red Merlot as he held the bottle just so, a glimmer in his eye. "Oh good." he set the bottle down as he picked up the glass with a near tenderness, swirling it about and watching the lights from above dance through the crimson color of the wine. "That reminds me, speaking of my work. Would you be a dear and inform me if any of the other VIP personnel have arrived...?" he gave an innocent smile to the nothing in particular. "I was hoping I could get to know my new patients outside of an office setting where possible." he gave a waving motion with his free hand "You wouldn't believe how that sofa can put people off."
"Records indicate that Miss Sophia Thatcher and Mister Wade Marcotte arrived most recently, shortly after yourself."
"I see..." his mind seemed to be turning over the names, trying to recall what he could from the psyche examination profiles. He recalled their faces, but with these two anything more was lost in the wake of more important details. "Echo, as the stations therapist I have access to psyche profiles and various medical data do I not?"
"Yes Jaden, that is correct. You have clearance for that information."
He turned his gaze to the nearby screen on the wall beside the bar area. "Splendid. Could you pull up Miss Thatcher and Mister Marcotte's files please?"
"Of course."
As the files came up Jaden began to give them a cursory glance. They didn't really say all that much. Merely the brief theories and observations of far more lackadaisical members of his profession. There were some mentions of anxiety and claustrophobia respectfully, but it was all noted as mere speculation and hear say...didn't anyone besides him actually care to getting the job done properly? What happened to concise and accurate profiling? He finished another sip of his wine before setting it back down on the bar's counter.
"Hm...nothing here really all that interesting...if only others could be as helpful as you Echo."
"Thank you, Jaden."
Jaden gave a laugh as he turned back towards the door. "Let's see...I'll need an excuse to be out and and about...Echo, could you please commission hard copies of everyone's records from the front desk at the lobby."
"Were the digital ones I provided not sufficient?"
"Oh they were," Jaden assured looking rather bemused "but when I meet the others it's necessary I have a valid excuse to bump into them. Puts them at ease you see."
"Ah, I understand. That is very clever, Doctor. Putting the commission through now."
Jaden gave a light chuckle. "Coming from you my dear, I take that as a great compliment, and thank you." he exited the via the door as he turned back down the hall, intent to find at least one of the two new arrivals... Sophia Thatcher and Wade Marcotte... two more minds for him to analyze and unravel the intricacies of...this job really was getting more and more fun.

(((Sorry it's a bit short.))) Much to Sophia's agreement, her wonder calmed a bit as she walked toward the lobby. She didn't want to be seen gaping like a schoolgirl when meeting the others here. She stepped into the lobby, the well polished "whoosh" following behind her. Straightening her shirt. Wonderfully polished white buttons laced with strings that accentuated her white shirt. Tugging at it slightly as it reached her smooth black dress pants. A strand of silver hair tucking behind her ear as her gaze met the two military men. "Oh!"
Reaching into a pocket as she revealed her clearance badge, gaining nods from the two military men. Passing by them as her fingers waved in a friendly goodbye. As she walked past them, finding herself near a desk of some sort. Hearing a humming not too far off, and as her hair hit her face with the turn of her head, the source of the humming was found. A few clicks of her heel and some papers were seen spitting out of a printer. For few there were pages that appeared to continue on. A name appearing upon the top;
Wade Marcotte
Oh right, he was the engineer right? Sophia brought a hand out in order to reach the papers, seeing a mention of claustrophobia in the paper. And the only detail seemed to be a description. Sophia made an audible comment when she glanced upon the papers. "Well that isn't very helpful."
As her hand reached out to read the papers the printer began to hum again. Sophia tearing her hand away, as if there was fear of the printer growling at her reaching for the papers. Dropping her shoulders as her smile let out a sigh, your far too jumpy, calm down. The papers began to spit out and one page spat out before another page with her name at the top revealed itself.
Her hand reaching out again as she reached for the papers, her hand hovering for a moment before she reached for the papers. Waiting to see if there was another tune the printer wished to pass, and as the room fell silent she flipped through the two newly printed papers. Looking upon the first and seeing her name along the top in a bit of a scrawled print. How quaint.
Looking down the page there wasn't much. A term she had not recognized and a small description giving a synonym of "shy." And a mention her parents remained together and remain together to this day. Stated as happily married(her parents). Stating that she's in college and currently allowed to join this mission and graduate on time, they have classified her as "traveling abroad.". A mention that she can be friendly, of course in the medical terms that she had not familiarized herself with. And upon looking at the bottom of the page there was a bit of a note of "your welcome", something insinuating this was for the psychologist. Jaden N. Walker
"Well if that's the case, this is even less than less than helpful."

Jaden N. Walker~ ~Psychologist/Nurse "Would you believe that's exactly what I said?" Jaden remarked, not at all abashed at sneaking up on the girl. He did so enjoy surprising people, it made the most amusing reactions under any circumstance. "I really have to say that I'm going to have quite a bit of ground work to do if all of the files are like this, wouldn't you say?" The other files for the crew printing out steadily, Jaden slid about the side of the front desk, pretending he didn't see the girl's reaction at being startled. "So, do you make a habit of going through other people's mail? Since this never technically saw the inside of a us postal center I think we can avoid calling it a federal offense," he remarking jokingly "but still not exactly exemplary behavior for a fine young lady, wouldn't you agree Miss Thatcher?" he had a light teasing smile on his face as he inquired this, now leaning his back against the counter as though he would like nothing better then to listen to her response.
And oh he really couldn't WAIT to hear this. If there was anything better then having a plan succeed, it was having a plan go off better then he'd ever intended. And oh by George this was certainly one of those times. He'd intended the documents to merely be an excuse to be out and about from his room, it could have been anything from a trip to the sauna to a book he'd "lost track of" in the lobby, he'd merely chosen the files because they might come in handy if he ever wanted hard copies.
But low and behold, his little device had transcended it's original intent entirely, and instead evolved into, not merely an excuse to bump into one of the new arrivals, but rather a trap to ensnare them in an awkward situation. The very best KIND of situation, in his book, by the way. It was like looking for bronze and finding silver...now all he had to do was play off the event properly to bring home the gold.
Disregarding the useless report, which even the girl herself just noted, was entirely without merit, he had to quickly put together as much as he could about this girl, if he was read her correctly. Firstly, he had to wonder what sort of person would go up and investigate the papers...a curious one? Possibly. It might have been simple curiosity. Chance? A bit of both probably, he couldn't really tell much from just that. he needed more to go on. Her career. Marine Biologist, if that profile was good from anything at all, a stretch, he knew, but surely they had at least gotten her position right. So she was here for the purely academic reasons of being at the bottom of the sea... hm. He probably couldn't use that to profile her per say, but having that approach to her interests was a good tool to have to learn more.
Lastly, her posture, and manner of fine dress, she wanted to make a good impression as anyone else he'd met so far...save perhaps Mister Williams, but then again, as much as Jaden found it amusing, he'd probably not INTENDED to get caught in nothing but a bath towel...if he had, whoa, was THAT going to be a fun mind to sort out. But back to the matter at hand. Though he was doing a lot of thinking in little time, he really couldn't tell much more until he truly took note of the girl's reaction. He awaited with his confident teasing smile.

Wade Marcotte Wade was in awe as he walked down the hallway from the lobby, trying to focus on his simplified guest map. The floors had been constructed from slabs of gold veined marble, and looked as though da Vinci Himself had installed each white block. Walls that were not made of plate glass were the home to multiple works of art, mainly abstract, but very beautiful. After five minutes of gazing Wade returned to his map and read that it would take a bit of travelling to reach his room.
The young engineer knew that if he didn't find a place to rest soon, illness would take over once again. Picking up speed, he now focussed on moving forward, regardless of the beauty that was Atlantis. It wasn't until he walked past the ballroom that his jaw dropped. "We have a ballroom?!" he questioned aloud, starring at the beautiful carved doors that lead to the exquisite room. "The only thing we're missing is a pool." he joked to himself while turning to walk once more.
It took a good twenty minutes for Wade to find his room, which under normal circumstances should have taken only ten. Finally reaching this place was more than a relief, it was a physical need. The only thing needed to enter this custom-made room was a card key that Wade had recieved months previous. Digging through his bags he found his watch, pocket knife, passport, laptop, wallet and a sandwich he hadn't eaten from three days ago. No card key.
Feeling water well up in his eyes was enough of a sign for Wade to realize that he needed help. Wade had been commissioned to join Atlantis because he was a BRILLIANT mind, and at this point could not even open a door. Karma.
Not even bothering to clean up the mess that was his door step, he walked to the nearest door marked 'Guest' and rapped three hard times.

Needless to say Sophia jumped at the sound of a voice entering the room. A small click of her heel heard when the heels reached the floor. Bringing a hand to pull away a strand of hair near her eyes as a wide smile was on her face. A small laugh passing through the smile as her eyes rolled upwards to the ceiling. Her eyes turning back to him as her smile wide still remained as she looked to his eyes. "I can believe that."
Her eyes glancing back to the paper as he walked to the room, giving a nod in response to doing some ground work. She was fascinated by this man and his work and wouldn't mind spending a session with him. With a light toss of her hand, a full bit of hair that lied beside her face now fell behind her shoulder. In fact some time to spend with this man one on one was one of the many excitements of this adventure.
She gave a small blush at the mention of his mail, and a tiny mouth of a 'Thank you' when it came to avoiding a federal offense. And as he said the words 'fine lady' her blush grew a bit more of a harsher red, yet her smile remained. His light and teasing nature was so infectious and he had this air of ease about him. Her eyes flashed from the paper, to his eyes for a moment and back to the paper as she set them on the desk besides the printer. The ease could have also been very well because so many excitements and wonders were coming true, Jaden being one of them. She felt an urge to explain as there seemed to be an air of confusion in his voice 'wouldn't you agree?' Maybe something she only heard, but it seemed to be there.
She continued to look upon the paper, rereading the words she already knew well, as if she didn't know what would be in a report such as this. Her shoulders raising and dropping as a tiny breath of exasperation passed her lips. "I'm a bit over excited it seems today." Bringing her eyes up to his, she finally got to meet this man, how she wished to scold herself by limiting her view of him. "I suppose my thoughts aren't all that together today."
She gave a sort of apologetic look as she forced her eyes to continue meeting his. Her blinks seeming a bit more forced because of the effort. Her eyebrows raised as her smile was small revealing her teeth. Hoping he hadn't found it too intruding coming across his files like this. The one she really read was about her anyways.

Jaden N. Walker~ ~Psychologist/Nurse Jaden seemed positively tickled by the girl's reaction, waving aside her apology. "Please, don't let my teasing get to you Miss Thatcher. I assure you I'm not the least bit bothered." How could he be? This was pricelessly entertaining! He rearranged the stack of files now as he removed them from the printer, looking back to her with a quirked brow. "As for thoughts not being together, I find that it's when our train of thought is broken that we are at our most earnest. You were merely curious yes? That's a fine quality in a mind and certainly one to be expected from a scientist at the forefront of an expedition into a new frontier. You have nothing to apologize for." That was his guess based on her reaction. She seemed completely innocent, and to top it off the fact that she'd grabbed her own file spoke volumes. It either meant she was curious as to what people thought of her, or had merely been drawn to paper because it had HER name on it...either way, there was nothing inherently nefarious with her motives. But there was also something else about this girl's eyes and way of speech...something almost intrinsically distant and mysterious, as though most of her thoughts of were elsewhere...yes. Yes he would like this one...he could already tell. There was not only a complex puzzle to explore here, but a story...and his best hunch placed this story as an interesting one. Also...something else he couldn't quite place that intrigued him... hmm..ah, yes, it was because she was cute again, wasn't it? He always seemed to forget he had far less intellectual influences to consider... no matter. Cute was a positive addendum, after all. "Still," he gave a slightly dramatic bow, his grin unfaltering. "where are my manners? Jaden Walker, Miss Thatcher, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." straightening his posture he quirked a brow. "Just arrived have you?" As though he didn't know this to be a fact. "Have you been to your room yet? I have to say the accommodations our employers have provided have me positively floored." he gave a glance about. "I've run into a few others but we seem among the first to arrive, have you met anyone else yet?" If he played his cards right... yes! From the time, and the time it took to get down here, it was unlikely that many of the personnel arriving would have eaten...if he could steer the conversation the right way, he might be able to get them to agree to all have a meal together. One on one conversation was excellent, but seeing the way personalities bounced off one another was another useful tool. AND especially entertaining...after a bit more of keeping Miss Thatcher to himself...Yes, that was a good idea. He'd do that. He did so adore the way his mind just seemed to happen upon these ideas.

The redness of her cheeks began to fade back into her pale skin. Her eyes looking down to the stack of papers as he took them from the desk. And then her eyes flashing back to his as he spoke. The theory of thoughts not being together. Bringing a hand to rest upon her cheek, her light fingernails barely touching upon the bottom of her brown eyes. The full top of her teeth showing as he spoke of the fine quality of curiosity. She had assumed she'd hear him speak some of psychology during her stay, but so soon?
She gave a quick nod to his question. "Thank you. Curious is a lovely way to put it."
She brought a hand to her mouth as she gave a silent laugh to his bow. Her shoulders raising slightly at the fact. Her hand falling from her mouth as he removed himself from the bow. She made a quick sound of recollection, the laptop that lied in her right arm moving to her left, now sticking out her free hand for a handshake. "Yes, Thatcher, you may call me Sophia if you like."
She wished to say more, say she had heard of his work, make a joke of how she may end up on the black chair and there would be no need for formalities there either. But, she often kept these comments to herself, never wishing to take up too much of the conversation. She did enjoy listening to others talk, and with the smoothness of his voice she would love to listen to a lecture of his. No matter how many words that would fly over her head, she was a marine biologist after all. She shook her head, still amazed at her wide smile, oh how much like a silly school girl she must have appeared to be. "I have not, but I have been told I am to be acquainted with a wonderful computer and desk that will fit my needs."
And once more, she knew of many others who would go into more detail, but it was of short knowledge if he would be interested in such a thing. Shaking her head once more. "You are the first I have met."
And gladly so Her mind flashing to a scene of Sweeney Todd "Kiss me". When Anthony is speaking. "It's me you'll marry on Sunday." And when Johanna responds, "And gladly sir." Her lip causing a small twitch at the small recollection of memory. She did particularly enjoy scenes she would be reminded of through small thoughts of the day, it seemed to add a richness to the Earth that modern day had lost over the years.

This conversation had become unusually appealing to him, but so was life when it came to the whims of a man whose only hobby was to observe life as it was. For some time he would never have dreamed to become apart of that world he always observed, but for today, he would humor his fantasies of becoming socially inept, and observe as to where it would lead. He had already done two of many things he never truly had done, first being talking to a girl, second being almost nude in front of two perfect strangers. He wouldn't hold back though. Truth be told he was so lonely. The only reason he created Echo was to have a friend to talk to.
"Well then...Andrea was it, shall we take a tour of Atlantis? I've been somewhat curious as to the wonders this place has to offer, besides being at the bottom of the deepest point in the ocean."
"Echo, would you be a so kind as to give us a tour of Atlantis?"
Within moments the warm kind motherly voice of Echo replied back. "Certainly Free, it'd be my pleasure to show you around."
Free rubbed the back of his head as he peered at Andrea with a small smile, as he gestured her to go first. He was still pretty nervous around her, just as he'd be around anyone else. Books became his friends in his long incarceration, but he had to change his ways here. No paranoia, nor the need to alienate ones self from the group, he was safe here. These people were normal people. There he was again letting his thoughts run wild.
"Also Echo do me a favor, and inform me when all personnel have arrived here within Atlantis. At least let me know when the Overseer shows up so I can brief them on the orders given to me by the higher ups."
Truth be told he hated working for the government. Besides the constant drug tests and his on call schedule, he really had no time for a real life. The bright side was that he was being paid for all those long hours he was putting in. He already owned two houses, one he was renting out to a nice newly wed couple. The pay made the job tolerable. "Will do Free, is there anything else you need?"
"No nothing for now. As always you've been a good friend Echo. We'll play a game of chess later on, once things get settled here at Atlantis. We have a lot of briefings and a few protocols to be walked through, but after all of the formalities are out of the way, we'll play a game."
Echo's voice sounded a bit excited as it replied back. "Think nothing of it Free, and I am pleased to play a game with you at any time."

Jaden N. Walker~ ~Psychologist/Nurse Hmm...her reaction. And something in her eyes, and gestures... was she infatuated with him? Well that WOULD make things interesting, and far simpler, and more difficult in various areas too now he thought about it. Easier to spend time with her, but if she was a certain type of personality, harder to get an accurate assessment...still, he couldn't find himself bothered if this was true. He did so enjoy a good challenge after all, and he even enjoyed a lack of one...no matter how it played out, he ALWAYS seemed to enjoy himself. That and, hey, his slightly less high minded self reminded, it was never a poor thing to be victim to the romantic intentions of a pretty young woman. Yes, yes, he acknowledged his more simplistic train of thought, this was true. Still, no point in reading too much into a vague impression at the moment. He found it best to allow himself to form opinions when he was sure of something...he'd wait and see. Jaden gave an approving nod. "My pleasure then. I myself had a rather far more...unusual," he seemed to laugh at something "first encounter." he gave an accepting shrug, "I suppose there's no accounting for the surprises in life." he looked about the lavish lobby once more. "I myself considered being called in for this position at all one such surprise in and of itself." his work spoke for itself, certainly, and he hadn't really been all THAT surprised, but being humble was generally more socially acceptable then holding high a banner of how absolutely amazing he was. He was considered an eccentric visionary in his field, even if he was...a bit unorthodox. But then, he was the sort of person who was obsessed with the human mind, the sort of person to whom it and it's nuances fascinated and amused. He supposed it would be such a person that was truly skilled and dedicated at his profession...it was only natural. "But, listen to me go on. I suppose you were headed to your room weren't you? I'm heading back to my own myself, and from what I can tell they are all located in roughly the same area," he gestured in a laid back manner "Please, allow me to escort you. If we're all going to be living and working together, we'd best get to know one another as much as we can, hm?" It was important to keep things flowing around a conversation. Keep events outside it in motion so that the conversation itself didn't seem drawn out. It kept people relaxed, and made for a more accurate assessment of behavior. ...Also they let their guard down and were more likely to do something amusing, so really it was win win win. Also, from the sound of Echo's voice from the adjoining hall...it might be easier to hunt down the other early arrivals then he'd thought. As he'd earlier remarked, he did so love it when a plan went off beyond expectation.

Sophia's brows arched as she heard a description of a first encounter 'unusual.' This is a story she wished to hear, at least some time during her stay. Giving a nod at no way to account for surprises in life, Surprsies are the best part. And after the laugh her smile still remained quite wide, she hadn't had time to focus on a chuckle or anything of sorts when he had snuck up on her. With a casual conversation the laugh was easily able to fill the room and be enjoyed.
It was a nice laugh, that was sure, her shoulders rising slightly at it as a small breathy laugh passed through her own lips. Her eyes dropping down to the floor as she gave a bit of shift in weight, leaning to one side as her laugh passed. Her laugh passing as if she had known of the tale, which he would know as well as the other(s) he came across that she shared no such knowledge. But, through such a simple thing as his laugh it seemed he was painting a picture. A lovely picture.
His words of surprise when being invited here tore her from her thoughts. Her smile fading slightly to close over her teeth. Breathing a silent thank you as her smile grew simple, feeling the sense of professionalism she was wishing to convey. Her brows dropped slightly, mostly fading from the strange comment of surprise. And a bit of an unconscious, invisible furrow of the brows. She was rather good at hiding her confusion, thanks to a high school teacher whom would always assume her furrowing brows were confusion at the lesson when her mind was 10 chapters ahead of the said lesson. Jaden, surprised at being invited here? He was one of the best psychologist, if not the best psychologist. With the repercussions of going so far from home, on such a big mission, why wouldn't they want the best to make sure the best minds remained the sanest minds?
She was once again tore from another train of thought, quite tired of the goings on in her mind when he spoke the casual apology of his "listen to me go on." She hadn't thought it as rambling, but didn't sound her disagreement. Merely the smile that remained on her face, and a nod when he spoke of her room. She had been told it was best to come here first, if nothing else but to present yourself to the military men in the lobby.
And giving another nod and getting to know one another, looking out to the same direction as Jade as he looked out the lobby. Her hand raising slightly in a small gesture, one would give when holding a door for another. "Would you mind leading the way?"

"A tour?" She sounded interested, big eyes lighting up with what looked like a spark of pure happiness, "Oh... that would be simply amazing! This place is beautiful... or at least what I've seen. Which is pretty much the lobby here and then my room..." she pouted before her face lit up with that infectious happiness once more, "But those were both beautiful rooms!" She looked at him oddly when he spoke aloud, addressing Echo. Wait... did she speak back!? How had Andrea NOT KNOWN THIS?! Jumping slightly when a warm female voice flooded the room Andrea broke into a wide grin, clearly amazed by this. The man in front of her was the reason for this... he... he had to be a genius!
"Oh... wow..." She whispered, eyes trailing from the ceiling and down to Free. She had been expecting some holographic image of a kind looking woman to appear in front of them... but she had yet to see one. That would just be amazing. And freaky. But mostly amazing! Catching Free looking at her she smiled back, a much brighter friendlier smile on her face then before. She was such a happy, vibrant young woman... not to mention she loved being around people. She was a people person.
Stepping forward as he had gestured she watched the doors pull out of the pairs way automatically... was that Echo doing that, or were they automatic? She'd have to ask about it sometime. Listening to Free speak to the computer again she felt her eyes light up, pure amazement washing over her features. This was artificial intelligence... this was something only a really REALLY REALLY REALLY smart person could pull off. She... she was aquintances with a genius! Grinning slightly to herself she reached up, pushing a stray strand of black hair from her eyes before glancing back at Free. She didn't want to interruppt their conversation... that would be rude.
She smiled softly when the man told Echo they would play a game... the computer almost sounded excited. Wait. Were... were computers supposed to have feelings? Andrea's eyes clouded over as she thought about it... WHAT IF ECHO FREAKED OUT AND TOTALLY TURNED AGAINST THEM!? Think rationally, why would that happen? She scolded herself gently, though that thought still lingered in the back of her mind. Was Echo too smart? Biting at her bottom lip she sniffed, assuming Mr. Williams was finished talking to the computer.
"You work for the government, then?" She asked politely, eyes curious as she glanced back at him with a small smile, "I used to work in a small little hospital in a really small town... but I guess I work for the government now to." She sighed quietly... it wasn't that she didn't like her new job (she got paid a whole lot more), she just didn't like knowing that there was a file on her somewhere. Biting her bottom lip the dark haired female walked at a easy pace, her flats making virtually now sound against the floors. Her sky blue sundress wrapped around her tiny body in a delicate way... it was obvious she was pretty young.
Andrea was waiting for someone to ask her that stupid question everyone did, 'If you're a doctor, why are you so young?' Rolling her eyes at that thought she waited for Free to say something, looking bored.

Jaden N. Walker~ ~Psychologist/Nurse Jaden gave a chuckle, waving his hand slightly in a courteous motion of gracious acceptance, as though they were centuries back in some manner of elegant ballroom sware' "Sophia, it would be my honor, and you may of course feel free to address me however you please. Doctor, Jaden, Walker, anything therein as pleases you." he stated falling into step, a slow intentional stroll so as to show he wasn't really in any particular hurry. This walk wasn't really so much about the destination for him after all, it was the journey. "So, Sophia, if I may ask, did the men in scary black suits and sunglasses acquire you for this mission as well? Or did you get the benefit of a phone call first?" he said this with an something close to fondness in his voice, as though remembering the punchline to a rather hilarious anecdote. In truth he'd rarely had a more interesting day as when they'd come to offer him a chance to apply...chance to apply merely being a formality of course.
As he'd perhaps stated on earlier occasion, he loved surprises, and few things were as surprising as four men showing up at your office looking as though they had stepped directly from one of the pages of a spy thriller.
"Mister Walker?"
"Doctor, technically, but I don't even want to know the titles that might go along with someone like yourselves position. Secret service? FBI? Inspector or Field Agent?"
"Uh...that's..."
"Classified? I assumed as much. Regardless formality doesn't really seem worth the time spent in this circumstance, yes? You were saying?"
"Um...yes. We..."
"We being?"
"E-excuse me?"
"We being? Your name man. I'm assuming you have one, of course."
"We...My name is Smith sir."
"And you're friends? Oh! Wait, now don't tell me, are you ALL called smith?"
"Ahem, as far as you need to know sir, yes. Now if-"
"Oh this is a just delightful! And here I was thinking of staying home and messing with my neighbors today. What can I do for you Misters, Smith, Smith, Smith and Smith?"
".... Uh...we're here to offer you a... job...Sir."
"Oh.... hm hm hm, well no reason to be so flustered Mister Smith, do go on, you've my undivided attention."
"Um, y-yes, Sir."
Nice men, really. He was surprised that they were working a for a shadow branch under government funding, but then, there was the success of recruitment direct from other departments for you.
"I really have to say I was somewhat surprised to learn that all this was government funded." he glanced about at the positively breathtaking surroundings. Every inch of this facility seemed fit for a king. "I mean, certainly this is a top of the line project...but what we really have here is a glorified think tank, best and brightest or otherwise. The Government doesn't generally go so far as to be extravagant when it comes to things like living quarters."
He sent a impressed smile "I suppose I was expecting an eight by ten cube with the nessecary comforts...but this...well..." he raised both eyebrows to impose his own admiration. "This smells of corporate interest to me... or..." he wandered off with a thoughtful smile "Well... back to more intriguing matters. You're here as researcher involving marine life aren't you..." he adapted a slightly critical look for a moment. "I should hope they at least got THAT right on that excuse for an examination." he returned to his usual smile "That must be fascinating. I confess I don't know all that much about marine life beyond base biological behavioral patterns, let alone what sort of life might exist down this far...the very idea a creature could survive naturally with so much pressure and darkness baring down on it... I imagine they're true examples of Darwin's gospel." He was watching her as he always did everyone, keenly if laxly. His eyes catching every detail they could without letting on too much. His observation seemed to give many the impression he could..."see through them" or that was the common words used, so he'd taken to the habit of playing it closer to the vest. There was nothing worse for proper observation then letting the person know you were carefully trying to piece together their inner thoughts and motivations...but that was what made it fun.
